Saw a large bright light heading up and to the south.

I was standing on my back porch smoking a cigarette in Castle Gardens subdivision, west of Newburgh rd and south of 5 mile rd. I was facing East and saw a large bright white light moving up and to the south. It was not an airplane and not a helicopter. I followed it as it rose up and then the light got dimmer and dimmer until it vanished. I have never seen anything like it before and there were no clouds in the sky for it to fly behind. I've been stumped every since I saw it and have no clue what it could have been.

Have seen it just about every single night for two weeks straight it is not an airplane it is not a star like tonight it is completely clear sky since most of the time it's in the exact same spot sometimes it's a little over to the right. It just sits there it looks like it moves a little bit to the right and to the left and when I record it on my video camera it's like a burst of light every few seconds.

Strange Lights In the Sky

So we had a strange night last night. First, we saw something that I initially thought was a satellite, but it seemed much closer/bigger than a satellite should be and was definitely much brighter. My husband said it was shaped like a crescent. It seemed to move pretty quickly from south to north, then curved east and faded a few minutes later. Unfortunately, my phone was acting up all night and I wasn’t able to capture it.

It was very bright, like I said, but I couldn’t tell if it was just a reflection from the sun, or if it was lit up on its own. There were no flashing, or blinking lights on it and there was no sound.

About 15-20 minutes later, I noticed something else. Three to six consecutive points of light moving from north to south, but unlike an airplane, they had bursts of strobing lights (as opposed to blinking steadily) and as they moved, seemed to bounce all over the place rather than following a linear progression. I did manage to record some of it.

And, oddly enough, about 10-15 minutes after that, I caught a brief glimpse of a “fireball” in the east over our house. Probably a comet, or meteor, but I cannot be sure because it only lasted a split second.

I watched the planes fly overhead the rest of the night just to be sure that wasn’t what I saw. None of them came anywhere close to what I’d seen earlier.

The other strange thing about this was that those things moved very quickly from north to south. If they were planes, there was no way they could have moved that fast without it being obvious that they were planes. These were tiny points of light that jumped around forwards and back, up and down, seeming to appear and disappear at different points in the sky. I’ve been checking the internet all day, but I haven’t found any similar reports in our area yet.

I honestly don’t know what this was. I’ve never seen anything like it before. It definitely wasn’t fireworks either because they didn’t make any sound and I’ve never seen fireworks move like that. I thought maybe they could be drones, or something, but last I checked, drones don’t just pop in and out of sight.

There were no discernible shapes, or distinct "objects" that I could make out. Just the lights and it almost seemed like they were responding to each other, but I could be totally wrong about that.

The craft was triangle in shape. It had a light at each corner of the triangle. When passed overhead, it had a complete circle of white lights that encompassed most of the surface of the craft. It was too dark to see the color of the craft. The craft made no noise. It hovered over a house, very closely, before turning and flying to the center of my acreage. It then hovered on an angle and flew west about an acre. It turned back east and flew about an acre before turning southwest to fly off over the lake. It was slow moving at first and then sped up dramatically.

As I was driving home, a large green circle appered far in the sky in front of me and shortly after sped across the sky horizontally

I am a senior and Lima Christian high school in Lima, NY. I have always been fascinated by space and what could possibly be out there, and tonight I saw something I cannot explain.

As I was driving home from a school event going south on Plank Rd towards Livonia, when I caught a light out of the corner of my eye. Immediately I thought it was nothing, until it reappeared directly in front of me. The object appeared as a perfect circle and was bright green in color with a green glow emanating around it.

As soon as I focused in on the object, it took off at speeds much greater than any aircraft I have seen and left a green streak behind it as it sped off horizontally across the sky.

We went outside to let our dogs out and I was looking up and noticed that a "star" got really bright and went out. This went on in different parts of the sky for about 15 minutes, a bright pulse, then nothing. It wasn't moving in a straight line but would appear with a flash/pulse of really bright white light. No sound.

We did see airplanes fly "close" to the object but nothing happened.

13 nearly identical reddish orange lights moving slowly in the night sky

I was sitting in a chair in front of our house about 22:00 – 22:30 EDT on July 4, 2015 watching the neighborhood fireworks. I was facing east as most of the fireworks were going off that way, but some were also being set off to the south, as well as to the north of my spot. At one point I noticed several reddish orange lights that were moving to the east-southeast.

They were directly south when I initially noticed them. At first I saw two that appeared to be a little higher, thus smaller. I would estimate them to have been 4000 to 4300 ft in altitude, but it didn't seem clear how accurate that might have been.

Lower than those and seemingly a little larger (apparent size) were two more with one above and leading the other, also moving to the east. These I estimated to be about 2500 – 3000 ft altitude. I thought of how helicopters would be flying while I was watching.

Within a minute of noticing them, the first two disappeared although I felt at first they just went out of range. Three more appeared to the southwest and moved similarly to, and at the same apparent altitude, as the second two. The higher of the second set had disappeared by this time, then shortly after that, the other one also disappeared. As the third group moved directly south of where I was, another two became visible to the southwest.

I returned my attention to the set of lights south of me and two of them disappeared as I watched. The third of that group continued on to my southeast, and it was possible that it changed direction toward the southeast at that time. The upper of the next set of two disappeared somewhere to my southeast but the other continued on as the single remaining one of the previous group had done.

Two more sets of two became visible in about the same timing and location, also moving to the east, and one of those four also remained to follow the others that stayed visible going toward the southeast.

To recap: several groups of similar to identical reddish orange lights moved from southwest to southeast relative to my position. Most disappeared but three total appeared to continue visibly to the southeast.

The movement seemed to be how helicopters would have been flying but there was no sound. They might have been 1.5 – 3 miles away. There were no strobe lights or red beacons I could see, but if traditional aircraft, the port red light would have been visible. However, the color was more orange than I would have thought.

The lack of standard aircraft lighting was strange as where they were is the approach to Detroit Metro airport ; we live directly under the westernmost approach and aircraft would be flying toward the southwest right into where these lights were. No aircraft made an approach during that time, however.

There seemed to be a shape to the lights, sort of an irregular trapezoid on its side, base to the rear, and the top segment at more of an angle than the bottom one. This, though, was an impression and not easily discernible.

After the first 4 groups had gone by I had the idea to try my smart phone video to capture images, but the quality is pretty poor. I offer it anyway, if desired.

I am a retired US Navy Aerographers Mate (meteorology and oceanography) with 20 years service. I have a private pilot's license but haven't flown since 1992. I am currently between jobs.

Four stationary lights visible for two hours off Seven Mile Road, and Newburgh, in Livonia Michigan-July 2, 2015-10:p.m.-12:00a.m.

At 10:00 p.m. on July 2, 2015, I noticed four very low lights that could be seen to the northwest of Livonia, Michigan, off of Seven Mile Road and Newburgh. They looked to be over the Northville, or Farmington Hills, area.

There were two larger lights in front that seems to be pulsating. In the back, were two more smaller round lights that didn't seem to be pulsating.

I went inside to get my parents. We could not make the shape out of the craft. The four lights possibly being two large ones in the front of the craft, and two smaller ones in the back of the craft. It was visible for about two hours.

At 12:30 a.m., on July 3, I checked back outside, after going inside for a half hour, and the lights were finally gone. They were stationary for two hours, and no one else seemed to be outside viewing the lights in our area, they were very visible and unlike anything we have ever seen, in person, in our lifetime. It resembled lights we had seen in previous UFO footage aired on television programs.

Three reddish-orange objects/lights in the sky over Livonia, MI.

I walked out to my back yard with my dogs. I looked towards the north and observed three reddish-orange objects/lights in the sky. Two were in line with each other (south to north direction) and the third was slightly to the east.

I went back into the house and called my wife to come outside to see this and grabbed my cell phone (to see if I could get a couple of pictures).

When we came back out, all three were in line (south to north direction) and moving slowly towards the south. The lead one began to fade until it was no longer visible and each of the other two did the same as they reached the same spot in the sky. They made no sound.

After the third one had faded away a commercial jet flew from west to east near where they faded away at a much lower altitude than what the lights were at.

Red-Orange stationary light accompanied by moving white light.

At approximately 10:30 pm on Friday, July 4th, 2014, I stepped outside to watch my neighbor’s fireworks when I noticed a distinct orangy-red “star” in the east sky. The object appeared to be 2-3 times larger than a star or planet, with no discernable shape, and stayed stationary during the 25-30 seconds that I observed it.

As I focused on the red object, I noticed a smaller, white object positioned at three o’clock to the red, presumably a star. The white object appeared constant and did not flicker as a star would.

The white object than moved to a twelve o’clock position to the red, as if the red object was the pivot point.

Once the white object stopped at twelve o’clock, it stayed visible for about 2-3 seconds and then abruptly vanished.

The red star stayed visible for five seconds and then appeared to fade in a way that I would describe as waves rippling on water.

I stood for 2-3 minutes hoping it would reappear but no luck. Due to the number of large, ma! ture trees in my neighborhood I couldn’t tell if there were more objects or if the object(s) reappeared in a different part of the sky.

My location is in northwest Livonia near Seven Mile Road & Newburg. There were quite a few local fireworks and maybe the objects I saw were somehow related to the Fourth of July festivities.

I wasn’t even going to mention this until I saw similar reports on the same night in southeastern Michigan.

On 10/13/2013 at approximately 9:15 pm I saw a black V-Shaped flying object with four rectangle white lights on each side. The size of this object would block out a full moon.

It was traveling at a very slow rate of speed. It came form the North and was moving South.

I could see this V-shaped object for about 45 to 55 seconds. It was directly over my house.

I called to my husband to come quick but it was too late. The object literally disappeared.

I had not taken my eyes off of this object. It did not accelerate or change direction it just disappeared.

The observation from start to finish made a 45 degree angle.

I was outside at 19:35 trying to get the dogs to stop barking and I saw these strange lights flying in the western sky from north to south. They did not make any sound at all. They are moving too fast to not have engines so no they aren't hot air or weather balloons. SO, what are they? They could stop and go in the sky too.

You can see them slowing down significantly and stopping to the southwest of my vantage point and then taking off again.

At about 19:46 they just disappeared.

Object too large, too close and too low while seeming to hover, then fade away

Shortly after 4am, I was already awake and lying in bed, when I saw lights out my window. It seemed unusual because it was low and behind a tree (but very visible) on the next property. It appeared as horizontal shape (with a slight arc or curve) which led me to believe that it was disk shaped. It appeared too large or wide and too low, making it so unusual. There were lights and they did appear to flash, but there was no sound, which I found weird because it seems so close. This object appeared to hover, while the lights flashed, then just seemed to disappear from sight.

I hesitate to say this for some reason, but in 1976 in Tucson, AZ., I also observed an object, at fairly close range and it just occurred to me that the lights and the shape were/ are exactly the same for both. There was another witness in ‘76

Between the months of April to June, not sure exactly when, while walking home from work around 9 or 10pm alone, I see something in the night sky. At first thought it maybe a large bird. But as I looked on and the object got closer, I see that it's not a bird. It was like an odd triangular shape object, black with no lights. It move in a straight trajectory above the tree line. I watched it fly over my head, and it made no sound at all. It went off further into the distance, made a quick left turn, then rapidly accelerated and disappeared into the night sky. I couldn't get my head around what I saw, and since I've only told two people, until now. Hope this helps, something.

Bright orange light flew quickly through air, hovered, and flew out the atmosphere quickly when a plane approached.

Was walking to car in church parking lot when a bright orange light was seen moving quickly through the sky, hovering what seemed like several miles over an apartment complex. It appeared to be very close, close enough that the shape of the object was almost discerned: a dark, almost oval shape, engulfed in a bright orange light that did not flicker or change, almost like an aura over it. A friend and myself observed the craft for approximately four minutes.

At this point it had slowed and came to a complete stop, hovering for the duration of about four minutes. The intensity of the light did not change. What appeared to be a jet aircraft very close to the ground (as though having just taken off) approached from the left towards the light at what appeared from our position to be a 130 degree angle. There was about a mile's difference between the orange light and the plane. As the plane, the orange light moved directly upward and shot away at incredibly fast! speeds. We watched the light get smaller and smaller as it flew up through a patch of clouds and disappeared out of the atmosphere. The time it took from the light to leave its previous location to leaving the atmosphere was approximately five seconds. To my knowledge, there is no man made aircraft that can accomplish those speeds. Nearly 30 minutes later, I observed three planes flying in the area the light had been previously. 6 bright red lights ascend in a line and form triangle, disappear and return.

LOCATION IN SKY: From below tree line up to the southerly sky.

APPEARANCE: Very large, bright, red lights.

MOVEMENT: Rising vertically and also assembling to form triangle Last night I got a call from a friend who has never believed in the existence of ufo's. He told me him and his girlfriend had seen a legitmate ufo, not explainable any other way. He described it as bright red lights, ascending from below the treeline and rising up into the sky before forming a triangle and then disappearing.

Fifteen minutes later he called me, as they had returned. I went onto my roof and obvserved the lights, facing the south. My girlfriend and my sister were also witnesses on the roof with me. First I saw only a few lights, they slowly ascended vertically until there were at least six (I estimate, I didn't count exact, or get a photograph). They rose slowly and eventually formed a triangle before they slowly dimmed, one at a time, and disappeared.

The appearance of the lights was a bright red, and must have been large in size judging by my estimated distance, minimum of 5-10 miles away, possibly further. They rose very slowly, and not in a perfect linear line as a plane would climb as it gained altitude. They seemed to exhibit a fixed x-y position relative to the ground, only increasing their z position (altitude).

They formed into a triangle, and then began to disappear.

These were not any kind of aircraft I've seen a human have. The detroit metro airport is nearby in that direction, as well as the monroe nuclear facility.

My friend witnessed the sighting prior to ours and the when we saw on the roof. Our positions are roughly 4 miles apart at most.

They were in line but slightly offset from one another.These were larger and brighter than the planet Venus has been in the early evening sky the last few weeks There was no movment but I was stareing at them because I had never seen them before, I allways look at the early morning sky. While watching them they both faded and dissapered at the same time, fairly quickly, but all the surrounding stars remained. pretty strange

something weird flying in the sky

Tonight while my brother,28 and I,14 went to go pick up something the crew left on the construction job, I looked up into the sky & saw what I believe was a UFO or other unexplainable thing in the sky. We had just gotten out of the truck with the headights still on. My brother didn't need my help so I was looking around and what not. I looked up into the sky & was shocked when I saw a glowing object moving slowly downward and across the sky. At first I thought it was my first shooting star or comet, but all of a sudden it took a completely different path and curved and went up. It started blinking while still moving fairly slow. Then it started glowing steadily once again. It sped up and began to dim. Then it was gone. I waited to see if it would appear again but it didn't. Before tonight, I had never believed in UFO's or weird things going on in the sky like this. But I know I wasn't just seeing things because when I saw it I yelled to my brother 'a shooting star!', so we were both witnesses. And I noticed it didnt have blue or red or any other color lights like an airplane or other ordinary flying craft. Also, it was flying pretty low, until it went up.

Bright green sphere desendes rapidly and disappears

I saw what seamed to be the right side of an airplane wing flying extremely low. The sphere was a bright green and I saw a flame burst from it. At that time the object moved to the earth very rapidly and disappeared. It should have crashed into the earth, but there was no sign of a crash. I called 911 ten minutes later and they had heard of no aircraft landing or crashing. My wife told me that co-workers of hers were talking about the same green sphere that morning.

Six round, silver balls in the upper atmosphere flew at formation, stayed in one spot.

Arriving at a party, we noted that many guests were looking skyward. We were observing tiny round, silver balls in the upper atmosphere that appeared to be stationary. Occasionally they came together to make a pattern, then "flew" apart but stayed in the same general area. One of the guests remarked that he sees them all the time as he lives near Selfridge Air National Guard Base. He stated that other planes are not allowed to fly in or out when the balls are hovering. I asked what they were and he replied that "no one knows". Another guest, an off duty policeman, said they were weather balloons. I wonder if air balloons in the upper atomosphere can remain stationary in the strong winds of that level. The balls stayed in the one spot in the sky for about 1.5 hours.

A bright light appeared in the sky West of our house and remained their for about 20 minutes and left with incredibale speed.

Bright light appeared in the sky and was stationary. I opened my patio doors and watched the light for about two minutes. It never moved. I called my wife to come observe the object. We both watched it for about another two minutes. I ran and got my polaroid 1300 digital and took three pictures. My wife continued to watch the object. I went to my comuter and downloaded the pictures. I have one clear picture, one as it is turning and one displays a series of lights behind it like a long tail. I called my wife in too look at the pictures. We both agree it was something different. I went back out to take more pictures and just as I raised my camera it was gone in a flash. Due to the distance, I did not hear any type of noise. / My back yard was dark, the sky was clear, and it was not an illiusion.

"star" darting from one place to another and stoping abruptly, chnged colors and went in loops

i was sitting in my car, at about 3am, talking to a friend on the phone. i was looking off at the stars above the forest behind my house and noticed that one star had moved from where i last saw it. i kept my eye on it and literally screamed when it darted diagonally to another spot and stoped. i was scared shitless, but i still watched it. it started changing colors, from red to green to white and blue but mostly red and white. it kept doing those quick movements and a few times it went in circles or loops. i got out of my car to get a closer look and as i got about halfway accross my back yard it darted off out of sight. it wasnt very close, like i said it looked like a star at first. if it was so far away, then why did it fly off when i got closer? was it just coincidence, or what? i've seen the same thing in the same spot a few nights after, but i didnt get out of the car that time. and it stayed there for about an hour this time, doing it's thing until it disapeared behind the trees. i dont know what to think, if i should be excited or scared. what should i do if i see it again? i dont have a video camera. i dont think any of OUR aircraft can do ((deleted)) that.

sky lights western n.y.

sky was partly to mostly cloudy,while driving north toward rochester n.y. lights where seen in a cloudy part of the sky, that pulsed bright white to red. the pulsing lights stayed in the same part of the sky(a relatively small area directly over a small grove of trees)at times they would stop and start.about15 other cars pulled off the road to watch,one person got out a camcorder. after a while a helicopter approached from the direction of the rochester airport. the strobing seemed mechcanical not natural,i have seen the aurora,this was too local to be it. any info as to what that was would be appreciated.

Large Circle Craft on 7 mile road

I couldn't believe my eyes and I think many other drivers during that day didn't know what to think either. I large circular (disk) craft was floating above our vehicles on 7 mile between Farmington and Newburgh Road in Livonia MI. I don't remember the exact date or anything. The only thing I remember is this massive disk spaced thing floating about us while driving. It was VERY close to us... I would say about a couple hundred feet above us. I wanted to see other people's reactions, but at the same time I had to follow this craft. It floated away VERY QUICKLY and I only followed it for about 1/2 mile. I wish to this day that I took down the exact time and date... and I wished I shouted out of my car window and asked someone else if I was seeing things!!!! I've never claimed seeing a UFO before, but from what I remember, I was speakless. I almost feel like I was in a different state of mind when I saw this thing.

1st sighting: A green-blue fireball streaked across the eastern sky, north to south approximately at 180 degrees. It started out as a sphere that gradually developed a long plume of (seeming) aqua-green flame behind it. After the plume developed, the sphere seemed to explode in a "poof" and the whole object was totally gone. No trace. Before I saw object, the sky was very clear and many stars could be seen. After it appeared, the sky clouded up almost completely. 2nd sighting: I was watching a plane's lights fly through the clouds and then I saw another object like the first. A very bright green-blue sphere streaking in the northeastern sky, moving north to south. This object's plume seemed to be more flame-gold. It was smaller than first object, a little farther away at a 90 degree angle. It ,too, "poofed" and was gone.

My background: I am a medical editor/media specialist and a freelance journalist/video producer. I am a 45 year-old female. I have never seen "green fireballs" before!

Formation of Green Lights (high up) over Livonia, MI. USA

Another person & myself were watching the night sky, looking straight up. We both saw what looked like a cluster of greenish lights, at a high altitude - they were in a slow, steady moving formation like a "V" - as if it were a formation of birds each carrying a green light. The formation seemed to contain 8-10 lights, & was not in a fixed & perfect "V" shape. We observed them moving in a southwest direction, then turned slightly, then disappeared. Our observation lasted maybe 10 seconds, which was long enough to determine this was something unlike anything we could explain. There was no sound - just little light green lights. It was no airplane. The sky was clear, & we had an unobstructed view.
