We were driving back from the movies and we were on the interstate and I saw it from a distance and my son noticed it went over us

It was at night my son and I were driving home from the movie tavern and we noticed a lights flashing weirdly but we shrugged it off. We get close to the object it looked like one of those wing planes the military had but no sound, no trail. My son and I panicked because we never seen anything like that in our life. My son talked to his friends and they never saw anything like that. It might be a weird plane or a extra terrestrial object.

I saw 2 round white orbs flying fast towards the rising sunlight to which they disappeared in the light about a minute long watching t

The orb was coming from the west and the second was a little smaller n coming from the south. They were both moving fast towards the rising sunlight. The second moved more on a north east route n the first larger one was just booking it east. They disappeared along with the stars as the bright blue sky moved in. My camera was full so I couldn't take any pictures. This happened at my place in of employment while in I was on a break. I see planes all the time. I love that you can see so many stars out back by at night, very beautiful. So I'm out there all the time on break. I've never seen anything like this in the sky before. But I know what I saw. Definitely a bright white orb, bigger than what a jet liner looks like in the sky. I see those all the time. This was definitely different.

Multiple bright ovals flying North & South near Slidell, LA

I had stepped outside around 5:50 and while looking up and west of Slidell I saw a bright oval, flying South to North at altitude. I was watching it as it did not have any navigation lights, when it just faded out.

About 30 minutes later I was outside again when I observed a second orb traveling the same path and it too disappeared after a few seconds, in about the same area.

Finally, around 8:00 another large oval light this time flying North to South was observed. However, it did not fade away, but continued flying south towards New Orleans and it disappeared in the distance.

I would note that we are located near an airport and observe planes and their lights all the time.

Bright flashing object, multicolored flames.

Last night, on November 27, 2017, I noticed a bright flashing object in the sky. It appeared to be a star that was pulsating rapidly. I was standing outside of my garage working on my motorcycle. This was around 1030 in the evening.

So, I went in the house and grabbed my father, ((father's name deleted)). I said you have to come out and see this. We both walked out and said that’s really odd. It looks like a star, but I’ve never seen a star flash so early Brightly.

So I used my Star Walk app on my iPhone to see if I can figure out what it was. It didn’t show anything in particular. At least it didn’t show in that area of the sky. It was located south east at about 120°.

So I went in and grabbed my telescope in my Canon T3 I. I hooked up my camera to my telescope pinpointed it and took rapid succession of photos. When I zoomed in on it and used the LCD screen of my camera, you could see the flashing of colored lights. They were like flames all around it. They were streaking out from around it.

I tried to take video through my camera, but for some reason, when I went to take the photos and video of the card, the video was not there. It could’ve possibly been operator error, but I am a videographer,

Bright twinkling lights in the sky over slidell,la

I went outside last night to smoke a cigarette, "Can't smoke inside," and I love to look at the sky. when I looked I thought it was some planes, I Seen 5 then out of nowhere they had more some was moving around the others that a plane just can't do and some was going straight, then they just left.it was bright lights like they where twinkling or something I am very confused!!!

At 19:25, I had just checked my watch h because the gnats had arrived to help with the yard work. While picking up tools facing my shed I heard a muffled bang...but a strong. It was like the noise took a breath. I could feel the energy suck in and push outward like a volatile explosive as it is triggered by a blasting cap. The noise also had a kind of twangy echo like a indoor shooting range.

Within 15sec the sound of a jet engine emanated from the same place as the bang. Putting the pieces together as they came into light led me to the belief that a jet plane was flying at a high altitude due to the cloud ceiling which would give way too much turbulence to achieve super sonic speeds. And the cloud ceiling also muffled the bang by being denser than air so a portion of the noise would slow, bounce off, and travel along the ceiling instead of being free to instantly pass through air and travel to the ground. The jet was so high that it was impossible to spot. It was traveling due south to wards New Orleans, the Gulf of Mexico, and the mouth of the Mississippi River.

I then heard it travel in a North or North West direction, maybe passing as far over as Gulfport, Ms, then coming back up seemingly to the point origin to head south again...possibly near Hammond, La. These distances are only guesses from the rough speed it had to be traveling, length of time a jet exhaust was heard on a particular trajectory. It must have circled at least five times, once heading south there was a second exhaust that went its own way once they reached the southern destination. These intense activities slowed or stopped at 19:55. Through the night I have heard the jet every couple of hours but just passing by once or twice but nothing kike the roughly half hour of consistent circling. I only mention this due to the recent rash of jets being scrambled in panic mode the whole world over.

The closer we got to it the ball of light was clearer and we could see what appeared to be a triangular shape cluster of vivid white lights hovering in one spot over I-12.

Once we passed under it and looked back to see it again it was gone.

On 8-2-2014, I was bringing my girlfriend home as I usually do at around 22:30 or 23:00. As we made out way down her street, we witnessed an obvious UFO above and in front of my truck just above the tree line.

It should be noted that her street is near a major shopping center, but her street is secluded with trees and wooded area surrounding the road. There are street lights along the road but quite spaced out and are often out/dim.

There was a car approximately 500 yards behind me traveling the same direction. As we approached her driveway, which is on the left, we both observed a UFO with white lights blinking around the rim of the object. They blinked on and off rotating around similar to the light movement of the arcade game that you have to hit the stop button as it passes the 10 in front of your spot.

The lights were very visible and the craft was just above the trees and about 20 yards in front of us. The object was moving right to left passing over the road/trees. As it went over the street we arrived to her driveway which we quickly jumped out to attempt a second sighting of it, however it was gone.

She does live within about 10 miles from a small airport, however the craft did not have any green or red lights the the circling white pattern. It should be noted that we couldn't see the full outline of the object due to the trees and darkness, however we could clearly see the edge shape due to the lights circling it. I would estimate the size of the object to be approximately 75 to 200 feet wide.

My girlfriend is afraid of the idea so she automatically said it was a plane, however there was a plane flying high up in the sky that was clearly a plane with the red, green, and white light. She accepted the fact that we saw what we saw, a UFO. It should also be noted that for as low as it was there should have been a distinct sound, especially if it were a plane, however we heard none. My truck is not the quietest in the world especially since I also had the radio on, however there should've been a distinct sound for as low as it was.

This was the first time I had ever experienced seeing something of this nature, but I am so glad that I have my own proof enabling me to personally know without question that they are out there. There is however always the chance it could've been a military craft, but it was definitely not a plane.

Strange objects in night sky which appear to be distant stars.

My son and I was camping while lying on our backs looking at stars through binoculars, we were looking at stars which we could not see with naked eye, just roaming until we see some stars which were very far away, just enjoying the night. I looked at a star, with binoculars, which was rather bright, but appeared to have structure around it.

I then looked at it with a small med powered telescope and it appeared to be some sort of craft.

There was another one (star) I also observed. which appeared to be larger then the first, like some type of space station. It blew my mind.

I am a retired police officer and I have been a sky watcher since I was 7 years old. This was not a star by no means. What is it?

When I was 7 I saw a UFO pass through New Orleans. If I remember, it was Oct. 11, 1973.

I originally thought it was a bird but to high and way to fast.

Confirmed 9 orange separate lights.

Starting at approx 23:20 noticed orange light moving out side moving North East to South West. The third light prompted me to go outside with my father, at approx time of 23:30 . Clearly observed multiple (counted nine) very small (estimated beach ball sized) orange lights clearly separate. Low flying not making any noise. It should also be noted that the night and location of observance was extremely quiet. Took video of two flying together. Noted also that no wind was present at ground level and sky was super clear visibility. Also note that I was super excited having never experienced anything like this and was very talkative during video. Father also shot video. Mine came out better using a Samsung Galaxy S4 cellphone. Side note, lights appeared to have small red top and were constant not flashing, estimated 40-50 MPH.

Mass amount of re objects caught on video in Slidell La.

The objects were round. The color was red sort of like fire embers. Also in my video at 1:21 you can see what appears to be an orb floating between and around two of the objects. I witnessed these objects at the La Quinta Inn in Slidell. La. I was in Slidell for work purposes. There were two other persons who witnessed these objects as well. One was a man also staying there for work purposes. The other was a female hotel clerk. Upon talking to her about these objects I was informed that a UFO hunter group was in town a month prior for same objects. except those objects were white lights. I never called anyone but asked repeatedly in video for someone to call. I do not live there and I know there is a naval Air Force base not far from where I was at I just assumed maybe military stuff going on.

I wasn't planning to report this until I read the recent sightings in Georgia and Florida of green and red lights.

I walked outside around 8:45pm to smoke a cigarette. I looked up at the stars like I always do at night when I go out to smoke. While scanning the sky I noticed a bright red object moving at a steady pace.

This object seemed to be swaying a little bit as I observed it. It appeared to be at a very high altitude that of a jet liner (30,000 feet or more).

I couldn't hear anything( but I live near the Interstate and its quite noisy). The light was constant with no strobe and appeared bright but very high in the sky.

I watched it for about a minute moving from West to East before I could no longer see it. It may have turned slightly to the south before it disappeared in the night sky. I have seen many helicopters and planes flying at night but this was different. This light seemed as if it was fire.

I wanted to post this to encourage others who may have had a closer look a this object.

I really want to know what it was I saw!

Two clearly visible, internally lighted spheres, flying in formation toward New Orleans

On New Year's eve, 2009, at about 21:00, I went out to my back deck to watch the fireworks going off around our neighborhood. Looking straight up, I thought I was looking at some strange new form of fieworks over my house. However, I soon realized these objects were too high up and too large to be fireworks.

What I saw was two large internally lighted spheres traveling in a northeast to southwest direction toward New Orleans from Slidell where I live. They were identical spheres traveling at about 50-60 mph, in a perfectly parallel course at the same altitude and speed. Their altitude appeared to be about 1000 to 1200 feet and they were about the size of a small house or about 75 feet in diameter. The wind was virtually calm and there was a broken low overcast cloud cover.

The spheres appeared to be made of translucent glass or ceramic material which appeared glowed pink over-all with uneven blue and gray horizontal bands around them. They glowed from within and were clearly visible for about three minutes before disappearing into a low hanging cloud bank. The strangest characteristic was that they had a collar around the bottom of the spheres which was emitting yellow flames in a downward direction which bent back away from the direction of travel. Looking up into them was like looking into an upside down can of burning Sterno, but much bigger. The flames were too big to be a hot air balloon and would have set a balloon on fire because they were also deflected up the sides of the objects by their speed of travel. They were also going too fast, and at too constant a speed and altitude, to have been ballons.

There were no navigation lights, beams, or other forms of illumination visible. They glowed with a soft glow from inside them which made them clearly visible in the night sky. There were no visible windows or other openings to be seen.

They appeared to possibly have been man-made robotic craft of some sort, but I know of no craft with these characteristics that could possibly fly in the manner of these two spheres. For this reason I have to classify them as unidentified flying objects.

I am a retired college instructor and former private pilot familiar with many forms of aircraft, but I have never seen any like this.

Two lighted translucent spherical craft traveling slowly on a parallel course towards New Orleans, LA

I am a retired college instructor and former private pilot familiar with many types of aircraft. I had not been drinking on the night of the sighting.

I was at my home in Slidell, Louisiana, on the night of December 31, 2009 when the sighting occured. I went outside on my back deck at approximately 9:00 P.M. to observe the New years Eve fireworks going off in my neighborhood. I happened to look straight up and saw what I thought at first to be some unusual fireworks. In a few seconds however, I realized I was looking at two strange aircraft which were way too high up to be fireworks. I saw two identical, perfectly spherical, internally lighted, translucent globes which were predominantly pink in color with uneven pastel blue and gray bands around the globe. They were not brightly lit, nor did they have any other visible lights on them such as navigation lights, but they were easily visible in the night sky. They had no visible windows or openings that I could see.

They were each about the size of a small house and were at an altitude of about 1,000 to 1,200 feet, and were moving from the Northeast to the Southwest in the general direction of New Orleans across Lake Pontchartrain. They were flying on a perfectly parallel course at a distance of about an eigth of a mile from one another at exactly the same speed, which appeared to be about 50 t0 60 miles per hour. One was slightly ahead of the other. They eventually disappeared into some low hanging clouds a mile or so from where I was standing. In all, I viewed them for about three minutes, and never heard a sound from them.

The most unusual and distinctive features of the craft were the flange-like collars they had around the bottoms of the globes. From these collars were coming flames which looked like regular fire, not a rocket flame. These flames did not appear to be any kind of a propulsion system because the flames were deflected backwards by the wind created by the speed of the objects moving through the air on a perpendicular course to the bottom of the globes. When they first passed over me, I was able to look straight up into the burning cavity created by the collar on the bottom of the globe and it reminded me of what looking into an upside down burning can of Sterno might look like.

These craft looked like they could have been man-made objects, but no man-made objects with these attributes could possibly fly in the way that these did. I've never seen anything like these craft before or since this sighting so I have to classify them as being unidentified flying objects.

Object with 2 red lights & 4 smaller strobing white lights heading west on I-12

I was heading west on I-12 and had just driven past the Slidell Airport Rd./Northshore Blvd. exit (about 3AM) when I noticed a red light in the sky off to my south which was also heading west (this object wasn't heading to or from the small municipal airport in Slidell).

As I continued driving and watching this object it did seem to be relatively low in the sky (3,000 to 4,000 feet up) and I could begin to make out 2 mid sized red flashing lights (each light was flashing separate of one another fairly quickly).

At this point the object slightly changed direction to begin heading Northwest.

As the object was picking up speed it seemed to be about 1/2 mile in front of me as it crossed over I-12 at the Lacombe/St. Tammany exit which is about 3 to 4 miles from the original exit that I first saw it at. At this time I could clearly see that inbetween the 2 midsized red lights were at least 4 white strobing lights smaller than those red lights but I still could! n't see a shape to the object. Almost underneath where the object was there were 4 vehicles traveling west, I was roughly 3 to 4 blocks in back of these vehicles. I noticed as this object passed over those vehicles, 2 of them did press on their brakes for a few seconds so I do not know if those people were able to make out the object. This area has very tall pine trees on both sides of the Interstate. As it crossed over I-12 and continued heading on a Northwest trajectory at the same altitude I lost sight of it behind the tall pine trees on my northern side. This entire sighting lasted just about 2.5 to 3 minutes.

Now, this could have been a plane. I simply could not make out a shape to it at all, nor did I hear any noise from it. I live 20 miles west of this area and I live in the direct flight paths to both the International and Municipal New Orleans airports and I have never witnessed a plane with lights flashing the way these did. I know that this wouldn't have been a commercial large plane flying that low in this area as it wasn't coming from or going towards the Armstrong International area. I have seen smaller planes at night with just a red light on it but none that quite flashed the way these did. I am interested in seeing if anyone else reports seeing these lights and could clear up if it was a plane or not.

Bright red, green , white and blue sphere shaped object

We saw a very bright object in the sky and at first thought it was a star. But, it was too bright and too close to be a star. It was sphere shaped and with binoculars looked like there was ring around the middle. It was white, green, red and blue. It was not noticeably moving but we went inside and when we went outside 30 minutes later it was in a different location. When I looked through the binoculars the object appeared to be very slightly moving up and down. I really do not know what it was--I know it wasn't a plane, helicopter, satellite or star. We went inside again and when we came out about 30 minutes later the object was gone. I have never seen anything like this before nor had anyone else in my family.

Bright white lights seen in open area on road

I did not see it but my girlfreind did. She was driving home by herself with our daughter from my house. She turned on to military road drove for half a mile and saw these lights in the sky. She just told me about it yesterday and she does not believe in aliens or anything like that. She said it was the wierdest thing she has ever seen in her life and she almost stopped her car in the middle of the road to watch it. Last nigt I showed her video of the ufos taped in Mexico last month and she said the light looked similar buy in a diff shape I will try and illustrate.

The Mexico lights when there was six in the frame looked like this - - - - - - She said their was also six light but they looked like this . Ok my description is not coming out right. The six lights she saw were on top of each other instead of on the side.

At about 20:00 we saw a redorange glow move west to east . As it past out of site Two Air Force F15 came over on the same path as the Object. then ithing they went to afterburners as my Son and Ilook on.

Morphing Chromatic Craft with Chaser

In the sky above our house on a clear day I spotted an object that was bright with chrome reflection. The object seemed to be about anywhere from 2000 to 5000 feet high. There where no clouds in the sky to guage height. There were no other aircraft in the sky to guage scale. My wife noticed it as well, and she agreed to keep an eye on it as I ran in the house and got my camera. I shot several images of the craft. In the max zoom of my telephoto lens (70 to 210) the object appeared to be a series of chrome spheres that seemed to be constantly moving and changing shape. Several times the objects formed a verticle "V" shape. The "V" shape was made twice in a very short time of say 3 seconds. I have photos of this, (as negatives as I haven't developed the images yet.) The group of orbs totaled 7 objects in all. They approached our house from the west and then began to travel south once they where over our house. Soon another sigular orb apeared from the north and started to follow the grouped orbs south. The group of orbs picked up speed slightly, and were soon covered from view by trees. Sight was lost on the sigular orb after the group moved south. The group continued to change shape the entire sighting.

I reported this with the understanding that I may be reporting a few Mylar baloons that got loose from somewhere. I have access to Mylar baloons at the car lot I work at but, I have never seen them behave in the manner I have described.

I will update this story after I have the photos developed. I have included an illustration for reference.

Amoeba like plasma "craft".

I was in my backyard at 2pm practicing a technique known as "Cloud Busting". As I was concenrating on a small cloud an object suddenly "shot" out of it traveling on a northern heading.

The "craft" or thing was roughly teardrop shape. It made no noise,(aircraft I have view from this apparent distance can usually be heard,). The craft had a steady speed and I estimate it's speed, (from my experience is Close Air Support practice while serving in the Marine elite ANGLICO unit), to be in the vicinity of 800 to 1200 miles an hour. It moved much faster than any airliner I have ever seen from that distance.

The object itself was translucent and had a pinkish center and ruby "outer skin". It also had greyish black spots inside it's "skin" that seemed to move as it flew.

The object left a light contrail that was smooth and even. The contrail quickly disipated behind the "craft".

I followed the object with my eye until it reach a larger group of clouds. As it approached the larger group of clouds the crispness of it's edges began to break up in my vision and soon I lost sight of it completely.

I had the sense that this was something organic and alive. I can speculate that this was some sort of "plasma" creature that traditional science hasn't discovered.

A disc was seen this a.m.that was huge as reported on our local news. SEveral respected members of the news team reported seeing it and they ahad an astronomer tell them it couldnt be Venus. Please investigate

Appeared to be a formation of sorts at first; 1500-2500' feet off the surface; 1/2-3/4 mile in length E-W, 1/4 mile wide N-S; over Lake Ponchatrain,LA;

Driving from New Orleans I saw what I thought was a helicopter squadron flying in a rectangular formation (6 lights) over Lake Ponchatrain. I noticed this because it looked very uniform and clean (like precision flying). As I approached, driving from W to E, I rolled down my window to look closer at this very cool sight. As I approached the leading edge of the 'formation'(a very clear night), I looked up and saw nothing but the point of light, as I continued driving, I remember how clear the stars were. As I past the last series of light on the Eastern edge, I remember thinking how odd that there was no sound, and that I couldnt see the 'helicopters' just the lights. As I drove I looked back several times to see that it had not moved. It was perfectly suspended from beggining to end 1500-2500' off the surface. A perfect rectangle 1/2 to 3/4 mile E-W long, 1/4 mile N-S wide. If you have ever driven the bridge from New Orleans East across the Lake to Slidell, the object started about just where ... if you look left you can see the train tressel, beyond that basically going E, and extended up to the area before you ascend the large hill of the bridge. Any way thats it...The odd thing, I didnt think about what had occured until I was into Mississippi, then I realized I saw something and that ... well I dont know what I saw. I wasn't scared ... But like an event where an innocent curiosity takes place you act natural, unsuspecting, non biased, moronic even. Then you talk about it the same way. It looked like a grid, a guide or a reference of some sort.... It was perfectly rectangle, very big, clear, and low! I have never seen another thing before or since.

Shape shifting, color changing UFO

The craft flew much faster than a jet would, and could hover gracefully, and quietly. My description will follow a brief short story.

A friend and I were playing ball in a school field. He got my attention by pointing in the sky at this craft. We immediately knew it wasn’t a plan, jet, or helicopter. We ran home, about 80 yards distance, and told my mother that something strange was in the air above the house. She indulged us by going outside to see. She is a religious person and wasn’t ready to accept this; however had no choice but to believe what she was seeing.

We quickly went to the neighbor’s house to verify with them what we were seeing. The neighbor swiftly said, "I will not talk to any reporters about this."

By this time 5-7 minutes have passed and the craft is now hovering approximately 300-500 ft. above us.

It is in one almost football looking shape and colored bright silver like. It is hovering and all the sudden splits into three parts and begins to change brilliant colors and maneuvers as if it was showing off its talent. Incredible color change like I’ve never seen and hard to describe. It put itself back together and hovered about 3-5 more minutes, then in the blink of an eye shot off in the sky and then it was gone. An unforgettable sight!

I appreciate this forum to report what I saw. I was a young lad who went outside to feed the dog in the back yard. While walking back to the house, I gazed at the sky and saw these rotating colorful lights on some object. It was so amazing because I had no idea what it could have been, especially being so young and unaware of UFO's. I watched it move swiftly from side to side, then all of a sudden it just took off at an amazing speed until I could not see it any longer. It moved so fast, it appeared to just vanish in a few seconds. I reported this to my siblings immediately when returning inside the house. I have often shared this sighting throughout my life. It is something I can never forget. After reading of these other sighting from others, there is so much parallism.

Silent glowing cigar-shaped object flew silently at low altitude along the train trestle south to north

In 1972, I has just turned 18 in August, and my uncle, who was a very young 40, died in September. He has metastatic cancer. We became quite close in his final months, and one day when we were visiting alone, he told me about his close encounter experience. He knew of my great interest at a young age in UFO’s. Many years later, I asked both his daugther and widow if they had ever heard of his encounter. Although they both had, he had never detailed to either of them, what he told me then.

Now at age 70, I realize I have both the privilege and the obligation to record his story, and am grateful for NUFORC for preserving these treasures of memory, as in my case, only detailed to me. If I do not share it now, the story will be lost.

When my uncle was a teenager, in the late 40’s he was spending the summer months at his parent’s fishing camp on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, a salt water lake just north of New Orleans. Specifically, the camp was on Rat’s Nest Road on the North Shore of the lake. Built out over the then pristine waters, the camp was accessed by a wooden walkway and then beyond the camp itself was another walkway to a fishing pier. He had gotten up in the middle of a late summer night to ‘pee’. Back in those days, it was a matter of walking to the end of the pier and taking care of business, as there was no indoor plumbing. As he gazed out over the quiet, still, dark lake, the night ablaze with stars, his attention was suddenly drawn to the west, as a very low—flying, glowing, cigar—shaped object travelled south to north. Less than a half mile away, he determined it followed the railroad trestle to the west, in total silence, perhaps 10 second departing from view to the north. He reiterated that it looked like the fuselage of a commercial passenger plane, complete with a row of likewise glowing ‘portholes’ (I seem to recall the glow was phosphorescent green), but minus wings, tail or cockpit. The sighting was startling and memorable for him. He ‘knew’ intuitively it was ‘not from here’. I feel honored that he shared this recollection with me, and glad to share this with your readership now.
