Starlight objects moving rapidly in a straight line across the sky.

I went outside to watch for meteors at approximately 4:40 am. As I looked straight up I observed a train of starlight objects travelling in a straight line coming from the northwest and heading southeast directly towards the moon. Some were closer together than others but all were in a straight line and moving very fast across the sky. I went inside to grab my phone in time to try to photograph them. I counted the last 20 of them as they disappeared into the moonlight, but there was at least that many more before I ran back into the house to get my phone. I've never seen anything like that before.

Stepped outside for a smoke .looked to the northeast and noticed a strange rectangular bright yellowish light slowly moving east .No noise at all . Slowly moving almost a standstill .. Then disappeared behind the hot springs mountain . Very strange

Two whitiesh-yellow fireballs observed for a full minute or slighly more in western NV.

At approximately 2100 hours, after an extremely hot day, my friend and I were outside enjoying the cooler night air when he shouted, "Look, look" while pointing toward the south-east sky. We watched a whitish-yellow colored, fireball break up into two pieces for approximately 1 full minute. Before the object flew behind the mountains, we observed it break up into several pieces. I have witnessed Perseid fireballs in the past. This object moved much slower. I believe it may have been a large piece of space junk.

I also contacted DCSO on the non-emergency line and was informed that they had taken several reports of the object. ((name deleted))

lights seen in eastern sky in Minden, La., at conference centre at Caney Lake!!!!!

At approximately 00.15 hours (12:15 central/-6 hrs.) I was returning to one of the cabins at the Caney Conference Centre in Minden, La., when I stopped to view all the stars in the nice clear sky. I noticed a bright light in the eastern sky and was trying to figure out what star or planet it was. I didn’t have any of the astronomy books or magazines with me, but it just didn’t seem to be in the right place. It was about 30 degrees on the horizon.

All of a sudden it began to move around slightly. At first I thought it was just my eyes playing tricks. But then it moved again. It did this several times in about 10 minutes time, very erratically. It would move up, down, left, down, up right, left, down, up, right, up, right, down, etc.; very random, but not very far, only maybe with in one or two degrees each move. Then it stopped. When it stopped this time, it looked as though there were two other lights, right next to the main/brightest light. The brightest one was whiteish, the other lights were reddish (one to the bottom right) and blueish (one to the top left). I had my 10x42 binoculars with me, but when I looked through them, it just looked like one big blob of light.

After about 5 or so minutes of stillness, it started to move around again. This time it did basically exactly the same as before. Also, both times, it appeared to wind up in the exact same spot it started from. Now, there is a small airport just down the road, but it didn’t move like any plane. If it had been, and it was on approach, then the light/lights should have gotten bigger, further apart, and I would have heard the engine. Not to mention it would have changed altitude gradually and not returned to the same spot where I first noticed it. I continued to watch this lighted object for about another 30 minutes; so almost not quite an hour. I stopped because I just figured it was some light/beacon, on a wire, or top of a pole, or something and the winds up that high were blowing stronger and moving it erratically like that.

Well the next morning (being today) I went back to the same spot, only about 50 or so yards from my cabin. THERE IS NOTHING AT ALL IN THE AREA OF THE SKY IN THE SPOT WHERE THIS LIGHT HAD BEEN AND WAS MOVING AR0UND. I even took out my binoculars again to see if there was something further out and very narrow that I just couldn’t make out. Well, there wasn’t. So that is why I thought I’d post this, just in case someone else saw the same thing.

The coordinates of my position are: N 32 39'52.0" W093 18'08.3", facing E 90deg. This is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this in my life; and I’ve looked for stuff out there like this. I hope someone else out there saw, or sees the same thing in this area, and reports it here on NUFORC. I actually live in Baton Rouge, but am here for the week.

A strange orange light big enough to be enough to be plane moved across the sky but soon stopped and soon phased out

My dad had us come out to look at this. We had called your hotline as well to report this. There was a bright dark orange/red light that was moving across the sky south to north. We were observing it from the west looking towards the east. It apeared to be a plane or a helicopter so it was about 4 times brighter than a star, However there was no noise while it moved across the sky about 45 degrees (favoring the north) than it stopped and than started and stopped a few times. After about a minute it started to get smaller as if it was moving further away from us. During this the light elongated into a line instead of a sphere which seemed to have a whitish bluish light with the orange. Than it completly vanished. It seemed to close to be a satalite, or space station.

WHILE I WAS TAKING A WALK I SAW TWO TINY DOTS IN THE SKY.

Well I left my house. I was walking to TACO BELL. It was on 04/29/2006 on a Saturday evening at 7:00 P.M. Something in the sky caught my eye. I saw 2 little dots in the sky. I don't know what it was. It wasn't a plane or star I saw in the sky. I don't know rather it was a weather balloon. But there was a plane in the area. But there were two tiny dots in the sky about anywhere from 5.000 to 20.000 feet. But the two little dots I saw in the sky were moving. I was looking to the northwest and saw these little dots in the sky then they went under a cloud and I lost sight of them. I kept looking and couldn't see them no more. I'm not sure what I was seeing but two tiny little dots in the sky. It was party cloudy.

Midnight Shadow On The Patio With No Visible Reason Why.

I did not want to write about an experience that happened two years ago, but I keep wondering about it and thought if I wrote it down maybe the wondering would go away if someone else said "hey, that happened to me." I do not recall the exact date, but it was September near midnight and the hot summer weather was changing. It was a full moon and I stepped out on my cement patio to feel the cool air. My dogs were up along the fence making their usual last leg lift before coming inside to sleep. They sleep inside because there are coyotes in the neighborhood. I live 15 miles north and a little east of town.

It was bright out and while reaching for a chair I looked down on the white cement and noticed a shadow. It was round. I looked up and there was nothing up there to be its cause. I looked on the roof -- perhaps a round object was up there that I didn't know about and it was casting a shadow down on the cement. Nothing on the roof. I looked in the black Locust tree, maybe there was a round nest up there and it was casting a shadow. All I saw was the shape of the tree and a little light coming through branches. It was bright out and I looked up a little to the left of the only tree in my yard. The moon was there a minute ago and it wasn't. There was no moon -- In the strangeness of the moment, I didn't put that piece into the puzzle until it was all over.

I was not frightened. I looked back down at the round shadow on the patio. Still there and it was about ten feet in diameter. I know because after the event I ran into the house and got a tape measure. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Again I tried to find an overhead cause for the shadow on the patio and I was looking up and around and I noticed one of my dogs was watching something up in the sky. Every so often he would jump into the air like he was trying to catch something. I walked around looking up and I walked into the shadow and watching my shadow emerge when I stepped back out.

I stood quietly for maybe 45 seconds and I kept my eyes on it. I watched the shadow as it started to move across the patio. The one older dog, laying near my feet, jumped up and ran into the house and the other dog "followed" the shadow across the yard -- jumping up and down barking. I remember looking all around when it starte to move and I remember seeing the moon, and the shadow slowly moved off the patio down to the ground and the black circle moved slowly across the light colored sand. I was walking behind it and I could see my shadow to my left - on the left side of the shadow. The silent invisible round what-ever picked up speed, a perfect circle was right there to see and follow and I would have, but I was stopped by my fence. I watched it grow larger as it slithered across the yard and into the street. It was heading west north west. And then my dog stopped barking and leaping into the air and the shadow that had been on my patio for no more than two or three minutes had moved up and away.

Obviously when I first looked up at the full moon it wasn't there because the invisible round craft was between eleven and twelve o'clock position in the night sky and it was blocking my direct line of sight. It blocked the shape of the moon but the object in front of the moon gave itself away by casting a shadow on my patio. And I think it was close, maybe 50- 80 feet over my head (?) and that is why my dog was leaping into the air trying to catch it --- it was close enough to his senses to "leap up and catch." I saw nothing but a round shadow on the ground and I saw nothing to be the cause. The sky looked bright and normal for a full moon out in the country. No light pollution. There was no sound except my dog barking and just one other thing. When I went inside to get the tape measure, I noticed my five Koi were racing around their pond. As usual their covered porch, shades drawn, was in the dark and they should have been sleeping. How did they know there was a noiseless invisible, shadow casting, intruder? And why were they, and one dog upset, and I wasn't?

driving up mountian road,observed 3 large round balls hanging in mid-air

on my way to work at Lake Tahoe from Carson Valley between 4;30 and 5 am I observed three silvery-blue balls , larger than houses, hanging in mid-air off to my right and to the North of Kingsbury grade. maybe only 130 meters from the road at one point. as I took the curves up this mt.road the objects would fade from view and then re-appear, untill I had passed that canyon and was well above it,and view was hidden by tree line. No lights or windows were observed they reminded me of enormous baloons but could not tell if they were metallic. I was driving taxi at that time and went to work not making a report but telling a few of my friends about it , of course no one had any notion of what it could have been, but several years later in casual conversation with a sranger the subject of UFOs came up and he told of seeing the same thing at the same place except he was observing from highway 395 heading south into Minden (at least 2-3 miles out in the valley.

Circular saucer shaped object clearly seen and left with no noise in less than the blink of an eye.

On a bright sunny day I was driving on Germantown Road just east of Richardson School and noticed a bright light in the sky to my left/north. the light/object disappeared by the hill to my left, so I traveled another 200-300 feet and took a left and went to the top of the hill, coming to a stop and there 75-90 yards in front of me was a large, house-sized circular object hovering perhaps 40' above a house. I noticed 3 cars parked below the object and then noticed 3 people moving quickly to their cars, getting into the cars and driving away fast. For 10 seconds I thought about following them but then I diverted my attention to the object which was not moving and not making any sound but still in position above the house. In less than the blink of an eye, it was gone.....no sound...just disappeared to the north. And, that was that. I told my college friend of this in 1966 he tells me. It has been decades but the memory of that craft, the 3 people leaving, and the noiseless, incredibly fast disappearance of the object, remains with me.

High altitude sighting in 1947

I was in the 7th grade. One summer afternoon I was lying in the hammock in our back yard, when a small dot appeared on the horizon, flying in a straight line roughly from north to south. I was extremely interested in airplanes, being able to identify everything flown by the USAF, and being familiar with the speeds they can attain. This was at the time of the first operational jets, and it was 15 to 30 times faster than a jet. It only took about 8 to 10 seconds to traverse the entire sky, horizon to horizon, a distance I estimated at 25 miles, more or less. The speed must have been 10,000 to 15,000 MPH. I had excellent vision at that time, being a little farsighted. The craft was too high to be able to determine shape, but there was no doubt as to the fact that it was real, and that it was fast!
