A round sphere that was 90% translucent was siphoning electricity from high tension power-lines in the forest preserve. There was a black suv on site with green and red lights flashing. When i slowed down to stop and take a picture the suv blared a very loud siren and told me to keep moving.

Later that night a friend and myself were having a bonfire when we heard a loud guttural noise that we could not recognize coming from the forest.

As we went to go investigate we saw a very large shadow come through the tree line so we ran back inside. That concludes the incident.

Red fireball observed above Harvey, La. moving from North to South direction.

Red fireball observed moving in sky, north to south direction, observed at northerly direction from about 50degrees above horizon, moving towards south to about 75degrees above horizon, at which point moving appeared to stop for a minute or so, object appeared to dim/fade in glow, as if moving away from earth towards a slight easterly direction, until completely disappearing.

For comparison, I looked around sky for jet or plane with lights on, saw one towards southeast traveling from east to southeast direction. I was able to see this planes lights typical of a jet flying at night. Lights on this plane did not match that of red fireball.

Then about minute or two later observed a dull glowing object of very faint grayish/white light in direction of southwest, moving again from northerly to southerly direction, this time about 40degrees above horizon, until object disappeared.

I had taken the dog outside, and while I was waiting for him to do his business,I looked up to stargaze on this extremely clear night. I saw what I first naturally assumed to be a flock of birds in a V formation, but this was 2 hours after sunset, and they were flying East to West, then headed Southeast, moving silenty and elegantly.

I had taken the dog outside to do his business at 8:00 P.M. C.S.T., and I knew the exact time because I had checked my watch. The sun had been set about 2 hours, and because a cold front had passed through the area a few days before, the sky was extremely clear. While I was waiting for the dog , I just looked up into the clear night sky to stargaze on this unusually clear night. Toward the East I saw what I naturally assumed to bea flock of birds in a V formation. They were moving relatively quickly, silently, and elegantly from East to West, then after a 15 seconds or so, headed Southeast. I noticed no significant sounds nor any flapping ofwings, and their color was brownish, and individually each more all winged shaped. I found this weird because I've never known birds to flock orfly in a V formation well after sunset and so silently. I only told a few close friends and my wife of this event, and only after I saw it reoported on this site, did i finally decide to report it myself.

Very large dual disk saucer ,counter rotating hovering and finally submerging into lake superior about 1/2 mile offshore.

As I was traveling toward Marquette mi from Harvey mi On 8/18/19883 on US41 I noticed a odd object in the sky on the left side of the car I was in .

The object was stationary and hovering it was very large Over 500 feet across it was a dual disk that slowly counter rotated as it hovered Tilted with the bottom toward me about 15 degrees So as to allow the landing legs to be quite easily made out .

The dual disks had lights on the edges and large lighted windows that had bay like projections .

Also the narrow mid section did not turn and there was a bit of a dome at the top of the upper disk with a row of lights .

Lights were many colors very bright red ,green yellow and white . The object was visible As I was traveling toward Marquette the object hovered for a few minutes and then went over the road and out over lake superior and slowly went under water after it got about 1/2 mile out it was very cool and a bit odd I personally prefer my special effects on tv or the movies this was the only time I have ever seen such a strange object it was many years ago but I could still sculpt or draw a model even to this day
