My wife and kids have witnessed 3-4 objects hovering around our area close to HWY 4 West on our side of town. I have seen these objects with them and by myself almost every night this week and almost nightly since around the 20th of April (or so). These objects almost are somewhat triangular but almost remind me of something from Star Trek or Star Ward like a Warbird or Falcon type aerial vehicle. HOWEVER, they seem to be hovering and only move so slightly and in a flight path unlike any regular plane I've ever heard of. Even as of last night, three to four of them are position in an almost quadrilateral type formation. They seem to be just 'watching us'. The objects we observe seem to give off a blue-ish hue...yet lights (flickering orange/green sometimes emanate from them). They seem to almost react intelligently as I am wandering my yard trying to keep focused on them. They flicker sometimes that it almost seems impossible to focus. I have seen these thin! gs so often that any notion of considering it to be anything 'recognizable or explained away' diminishes. My family and I also have witnessed red and green lighted low-flying aircraft in the skies on two of these occasions. They don't seem to perceive the objects and 'they' in turn seem unaffected, as well. It's freaky. Has anyone else seen these?

I saw what I can describe as a silent, stationary beacon in the night sky make a single revolution and vanish.

I do not want to sound like one of those kooks that probably contact your agency all the time, but I have seen something that is a mystery to me.

I am a retired Federal employee (34 years USACE) and I have always had a fascination with aviation, military aircraft, the space program and the heavenly bodies above. I've always got a eye on the sky (day or night). For health purpose, I walk at night in my small town neighborhood.

Tonight, 3 Aug 2014, at approx. 9:15pm Central time, I saw what I can only describe as a silent, stationary beacon in the night sky (like a lighthouse at sea) make a single revolution and disappear with no further sight or sound. I pulled my cellphone and checked my “PlaneFinder” app, and as I expected, there was nothing there. The truly amazing aspect of this event is that it occurred once before while I was walking at night, at roughly the same time in August of 2004. Almost exactly ten years ago.

I live in northwest Mississippi, 30 mile south of Memphis International. We get a lot of FedEx traffic in the evenings so I’m quite familiar with their aircraft, their lighting and their sounds. And helicopters are extremely audible. Nothing that I know of in aviation, silently turns in place with an extremely bright search light that points downward.

What do we have in our inventory that can cause such an occurrence? Thanks,

Large white light moving at helicopter speed, no sound, totaling a distance of about 6" from viewing point before disappearing.

At approx. 23:10 on September 11, 2011, I was standing outside staring at the stars with a green laser pointer. As I was talking to a friend of mine, I turned facing Northwest and saw what I immediately accepted as a plane. But all in a matter of seconds, I realized that the object had no blinking red or colored lights. Just a white light about five times the size of a star.

But judging on the speed, it couldn't of been a plane, but about helicopter speed. Yet, no blinking lights, and no sound. My first instinct after about two seconds passing, was to just shine my laser pointer at it. As soon as the beam hit it, it disappeared.

From my experience, this very much resembled a meteor during a meteor shower. But it only totaled a distance of about 6" from a viewing point, from the time of sighting to the time of disappearing. Might of just been some space trash, but thought I'd report it anyways, just in case someone might of experience the same thing,! and have a better explanation.

Lights in the Mississippi sky.

A friend and I were returning home from an out of town baseball game. When we got close to home we left Interstate 55 at Como, MS exit. Traveled east on back road. Noticed a large dark triangle in the eastern sky. The moon was full and the sky wasn't black but the area in the triangle was black. As we watched one of the lights on the side of the triangle left the triangle and vanished. Following this the shape changed and appeared to move north. The movement was not rapid. We had stopped the car to watch what was going on. I was looking north and saw two balls of light one from the east and one from the west. The two objects passed each other and quickly vanished.The two appeared to moving at a rapid rate. We made a sharp turn over a bridge and we were slowly driving west.What appeared to be a glowing orb was seen in the nothern sky. It was very bright. As we watched it became larger and the light from it became very bright. It was as though it made several p! ulse like glows and then vanished. All of this occured over unplanted fields in a rural area. Today I rode over the area. I could find only one tower and it was marked with a red light. All of the lights we saw were bright white. We did see several planes.
