I was standing in my back yard admiring orions belt when at 7:30pm I witnessed a triangle craft lights on each corner pass just a few inches under the belt heading south it was only visible for a few seconds before it blended in with the night sky sighting was only a few seconds long.

Craft flew over apartment at very low altitude and I took a photograph using my cell phone within 30 seconds of sighting

I was laying in bed and noticed bright lights in my window coming right towards me as if something was going to crash into my building or go right over these apartments so I grabbed my cell phone and ran to window and took a picture as it flew right over the neighbors building and at first I thought it was a plane until I looked at the photograph which didn't look like any plane I have ever seen and it had lots of lights all over it and it looked triangular or rectangle shaped but this incident lasted maybe 30 seconds and I called 911 and reported it to police and had two officers come over to look at the photograph and they could not identify this object either and then they left after they verified that I had seen something and showed them photograph!

Why saw something, that we still can’t explain

While fishing. We saw something, that we can’t explain. There was a long, cigar shaped, rather large object with NON flashing lights along the length of it. It produced absolutely no sound and it was very quite on the lake that time of night. It was relatively slow moving(not fast enough to support aircraft flight). NOT Helicopters or any type aircraft that we could associate with this)(or we’d have heard them for sure). To me, it was opaque. Almost to the point you could see through it, but not quite. We don’t know what we saw, but it was NOT explainable to us.

While driving north we saw a very sharp fingernail thin elongated oval shape moving slowly in the sky at an angle. It had a short tail.

The shape was large and slow moving but very high up. It was neatly sunset and the object kept catching the light. It appeared shiny or possibly slightly transparent. At one point it went behind a large cloud and we thought it was gone but it reappeared a min later. I held my finger up to the windshield to see if it was actually moving (it was nearly fixed, but very slow) and it was indeed moving very slowly to the east.

Odd shimmering lights over Midwest

Hi, I'm an amateur astrologist. On 04/11/2021 @ 2201 hrs, I was deciding on setting up equipment. Directly over head I notice a shimmering circle of stars. Looking very much like a heat mirage, only in the clear dark sky.

Surrounding the shimmering were 8 'lights'? in a semi circle, moving uniformly together. White in color moving much quicker than night lights move. (2-3x more quickly). The lights traveled in a southern to northern direction. I have many apps to help with night sightings. All aircraft Flightradar24), satellites (Heavens Above) and many star charts. All the above showed no active. Total time was about 5 seconds and gone. Clearoutside.com reported my site with 10 miles visibility, new moon and Class 2 Bortle (0.18 mcd/m2) Of course, I was alone, but contacted you via phone.

Strange movement of light over Canyonlands NP in October 2020.

I was motivated to report this incident after reading about the upcoming Pentagon report.

I camped in Canyonlands National Park on October 20 and while watching the stars saw a single light in the distance that looked like a plane or star and appeared to descend and/or move further into the distance, before turning sharply in a smooth movement at a very high speed. It moved way too suddenly to be a conventional airplane. The light from it slowly faded as it headed in new direction.

Eight light objects appeared in a perfectly straight line, 45 degrees off the horizon

We saw a perfectly straight line of 8 bright lights in a 45 degree angle off the ground. Each of the crafts was perfectly spaced from the next. After watching and acknowledging it (verbally) they began to separate, again at perfectly even interval distances. The one highest up then shot off and, in order, they sequentially shot off and disappeared. We thought maybe they were planes, but they hovered in place perfectly for way too long to be a plane and were very bright (we initially thought they were stars). They also moved much too quickly to be any known man-powered craft. We also used a constellation app on the phone to try to determine if it was a constellation, but the app was unable to detect any major stars or planets where the anomaly appeared in the sky.

This may or may not be associated, but a flock of geese began honking erratically and several dogs started barking at the same time we noticed these anomalies.

Walking home from seeing a movie, I noticed an object moving around in the sky.

I stopped and looked at it, and noticed it was flying in circles and zig zags, the light got brighter and dimmer over time and when I saw it the clearest I noticed it had 3 lights in a triangle formation.

When the three lights were observable, dogs in the neighborhood began barking.

I observed this object for about an hour before it just vanished.

Cube ufo which kept tuning lights on and off and was extremely close to Earth.

I had took a step outside to take a breather, when I had noticed a airplane. I was watching it a light at least 50 miles away came out of no where. I thought it was a tower but it started to move. Every so often, all the lights on the ship would turn off and come back on. When it came closer you could see the shape of it. It was a cube, as far as I could tell, and very close to Earth. It soon passed the building I was at, and didn't go anywhere, just kept moving until out of sight.

Large, slow-moving, noiseless, pulsing red light moves east to west

At about 1:20 am CDT on October 5th, 2014, I was lying on my bed on my Macbook Pro. The curtains of my north-facing window are open, as is the window. I happened to look up from my Mac and glance out the window, only to see a pulsating red light. The pulse is almost exactly one per second, rhythmically, like a dimmer being turned all the way up and then all the way off. The pulsating light was quite a bit larger than a blinking red wing light on a jet, at least three times as large. As best I can judge the distance, it appeared to be within five to ten miles of my house.

The object was moving — slowly and without variance in speed — pretty nearly due west, at maybe a third or a fourth the speed of a low-flying light aircraft.

The experience lasted twenty minutes. The object gradually moved out of sight to the west, never changing course or speed, never altering the rate of pulsation for its light, never changing size or growing dimmer except insofar as distance altered its visibility.

The object made no noise whatsoever, not of jet engines, nor of helicopter blades, nor anything else.

This was a fireball that streaked across the sky, almost horizontal to the horizon, and broke up as it passed behind the tree line.

Object appeared in the South sky approx. 120* south east at about 20* above the horizon. Object was as bright as a street light from about 100ft and was white in color for majority of path.

At approx. 220* south west, color changed to include a light green tint and began to break up, losing smaller particles as it continued to travel. Soon after that, it went behind some trees and was obstructed from my view.

As I walked around the neighborhood loop, I came across another witness with a better view who said it continued to travel until she lost it in the tree line. Entire sighting lasted approx. 5 secs.

We saw some very unusual events in the sky that possibly involved normal aircraft and un-normal aircraft.

We were driving from MCGehee, AR, to Monticello, AR, when we saw several aircraft in the sky. At first only the "odd objects" were there.

Not long after, there were several objects on either side of the "odd objects". These objects appeared to be normal aircraft of some kind, but the ones in the middle (the ones there first) were entirely different, in shape, movement, etc.

Maybe I'm crazy......Whatever it was it made enough of an impression on me to make this report.

Faint craft almost invisible with 2 burners like a fighter jet.

A very faint object, the body was almost invisible except for what looked like 2 burners that propelled the craft.

The burners were very faint light orange / yellow in color. The speed was fast but not super fast.

It looked like it was cruising along a flight path.

I tracked it through the tree I was standing under until I lost sight, I quickly ran into the open sky line and was able to see it fly away in the distance seeing only 2 round shaped burners that looked like a fighter jet.

It had no sound.

A very strange feeling came across me that we are for sure not alone in this universe.

At approximately 20:30 I brought my dog out to do his business. I had walked to the side of my home and was looking up at the sky while my dog was busy. I was looking into the North West sky. I was looking at what I believe was Jupiter and Venus. The moon was in a last quarter phase so there was adequate moon light pollution. As I switched my gaze to the West I saw what I thought was a very large white bird flying across the sky. If anyone has ever seen the beauty of white birds flying in the moonlight then you would probably know what I am describing. As I focused on this thing I quickly saw it was not a bird (I am getting teary and shivery thinking about it). The UFO was triangle shaped and was travelling with one point of the triangle leading the direction of flight. There were three small steady red, somewhat dim lights. One light was in each corner of the UFO. There was a distinct hull of some sort. The closest thing I can compare the body t! o is one of those triangle break down reflectors large trucks carry. It seemed as though the center portion of the triangle was either missing or very black. It was like a triangle in a triangle. There was no sound that I could hear. The altitude was hard to tell. The UFO blocked out light from the stars as it passed overhead. The UFO took about 10 seconds to cross the night sky. I do not know if it disappeared or because the lights on it were so dim I lost it in the light pollution over Minneapolis. I also do not know if it just appeared when I first saw it or if it was moving into the moonlight where I could see it. I am a middle aged mechanical engineer and a intermediate star gazer. I am not excited easily. As I watching this I was shivering, hairs on my neck were up and I wanted to cry. When I think about this my eyes water. I do not know if I am scared or excited because I have never felt this way when reflecting on an event. Nothing I have ever seen has! made me feel this way. I have seen other things in the sky b! ut this takes the cake. I immediately drew it on paper once I was back in the house. I showed my wife. She was concerned. She has never seen me act this way before. I am so drawn to this I feel I need to write this. I believed from a young age in UFO's. I am very scientific and enjoy advanced Physics. I feel as though I am changed a little. Also, there is a nuclear power plant less than 15 miles from my home and the sighting. There is probably so much more to say but I am at loss for words.

I stopped at a gas station to make a phone call, my car was facing towards the woods. I made my phone call to a friend, we were talking about corned beef and cabbage, and then I felt a force coming at me as if it was pushing me back in my seat...and there was a light. As if coming out of a cloud, it was goldish yellow light coming straight at me. I'm looking at it trying to figure out what it is and I tell the person on the phone "there's a yellow light coming at me, there's a yellow light coming at me". At a distance it stopped and it looked as if it was vibrating or shaking side to side. It then stopped vibrating...it stayed there and I was just staring at it. Then it came closer to me, stopped and then started vibrating/shaking again. Then the vibrating stopped and I could see that it was real round. It hovered approximately 1000 feet right in front of me, coming from the west. I am staring at it and it seemed to me that it was staring back, I felt an energy. I'm confused so I tell the person on the phone" I feel it looking at me and I'm just looking at it and I can't do anything" my friend says " I think it's a UFO, get out of the car and take a picture " At that point the oval yellow object is slowly moving over my car and across the road.I physically got out of my car to take the picture with my cell phone, it had sped up, but I was still able to get a picture. The object then went higher into the sky, stopped, then lowered straight down over some trees,I could see the UFO clearly (the yellow light), stayed there for a while, a couple seconds, then went down as if it was landing and disappeared. This is not a hoax and I mean every word I just said. Don't think I'm crazy, I am not crazy.

Dog alerting me something was not right

Both my pets acted very unusual.....nervous, anxious. I have a cat and a dog. I had to continually let my dog out and I noticed 3 lights in a straight line that looked like stars at first glance but then I noticed that they were different in color and clarity. More of a blue/white rather than yellow/white and didn't look like the other stars around. I had never noticed this group of stars before. I saw them at around 20:30. I brought my dog in but he refused to settle down and go to bed. He was very insistant to me that something was not right. I let him out again around 22:00 and that star formation was completely gone. All of the other stars that were in the vacinity were there but not those 3. My pets acted strange all night. 2 of my other friends with pets told me this morn that their pets acted strange also.

Two bright orange/red circles spotted in Monticello, IN - (Shaffer / Big Monon Lake) - lasting 5 minutes

Two bright orange/red objects moving east to west separately, which lasted between 2-2.5 minutes between each object. The total amount of the sighting occurred for 5 minutes. The two objects were flying at a low altitude. They were moving over Shaffer Lake then to Big Monon Lake (Monticello, IN). The skies were very clear that night. The stars were shining brightly and there was no overcast. The objects made no sound at all. They were round/circular in shape. They were traveling at a very smooth pace. The two objects began to elevate higher in the sky while they were moving west and then disappeared.

Me and a friend saw a giant blue/white light up in the sky that made no sound

At around 22:15(10:15 PM), me and a friend saw a gigantic blue/white light up in the sky that made zero noise and seemed to disappear after about two seconds.

We went through any possibilities of what the object could have been but all seemed to be wrong, of course the first one being that it was a plane. We went over this but decided against it; the object was simply too big to be a plane.

My grandmother suggested it was a rocket, but my friend and I quickly disregarded this theory.

We also suggested that it could be a star exploding but didn't have any evidence against or for this theory.

For all we know, it could have been a star exploding.

singular light running across the sky too fast for satelight and too slow for shooting star with no blinking lights.

About 36 hours ago, I was standing out in my front yard of my new farm. I was reading "The Old Farmers Almanac" and it said to look in the southern sky at nite to get a fantastic view of the planet Jupiter, as it is the brightest lite in the sky at this time of this year. I stood and easily found it. I called my wife outside to look at it. We admired the bright planet for a few minutes and went back inside.

Later that nite at about 10:30-11:00 pm., I went outside to investigate what I thought were some dangerously close coyotees, (I have 2 dogs and 3 cats). When realizing that there was no apparent danger I looked up again to take another look at Jupiter when I noticed a rather quick moving light going across the sky heading in a straight line (north-by-northeast I would say).

Normally, I would think nothing of it as Atlanta is a huge airway and we occassionally see aircraft in the area. However, this light (as I pointed out to my wife), had no signal lights or other identifying features. It was moving too quickly to be a satelight (as I have seen them before). It didn't look like a shooting star as it was moving to slow for that. It also had no tail.

The best way I and my wife can discribe it is a far off light moving quickly from horizon to horizon in a staight line much like an aircraft would do, but without any other tell-tale blinking lights. Until the day I die I suppose I will always wonder what that was two nites ago.

Two lights flying odd paterns and running into each other

It was a very clear night and we were looking at the stars, there were a couple planes in the sky that we were also watching, while looking at those we noticed something that at first glance looked like a plane. After watching it for a few seconds we noticed the lights were flashing non stop instead of twice and then a pause like a jet. We also noticed it was flying at a higher rate of speed, at first it was a long ways behind what was clearly a jet but it quickly caught up and zoomed past it. It then went behind trees so we couldn't see it. We came in my house and went to look out of an upstairs window (this took approximately 5 minutes) by the time we got to the window it was all the way across the sky. It flew in a zig zag pattern for awhile and moved over to the left side of the window. We then noticed there was another identical object on the right side of the window. The two objects began to fly very fast toward each other, and when they got very close they turned orange and the one on the right began to get dimmer and dimmer till it disappeared. We continued to watch the one on the left till it disappeared behind the trees.

orange orb ball of light in the sky

it was 2 AM on 10/31/08 between Clinton and Wayne County line in Kentucky. Me and a buddy of mine saw in the sky in a distance there were a large orange ball of light, we watched it for 15 mins until a second orange ball appeared beside it and only stayed for maybe 10 seconds and disappeared, as was watching the orb we noticed that every time a plane got near the orb would go out as if you would turn off a light bulb, it did this 3 more times and as the the third plane passed the orb went small and followed the plane for a sec and then shot straight up in the sky and was never seen again.

3 bright orange lights flashing in the sky for about 10 seconds then went away, after that big ball of white light falls from sky.

We seen 3 bright orange lights separate from each other. The farthest right light flashed then the middle and the third. after that it just sat there for about 3 seconds then it went away. My friend said it was in the sky on the right then jumped to the left and thats when in flickered. about 5 minutes after the UFO left we seen a big ball of white light go down towards the earth, kinda like a meteor but it was to big for that. all this was seen at night.

I was out on my deck around 10:00 pm and looked up to the northwest part of the sky. I observed what looked like two white lights close together moving north and the would stop for a feww seconds and then change directions. This happened several times. They blinked out two or three times but would come back on. There was no sound whatsoever. I have to telescopes but did not have them set up. I went into the house to get my binnoculars but they had moved out of sight to the north out of my view. I have observed this same type of thing several times over the years I have lived here.

multiple lights seen in sullivan county

I work at the local country club. I was doing a 4pm-12am shift that night. It got pretty slow so i decided to take a walk and smoke a cigerette. It was very clear outside, you could see planes everywhere. I was standing in the parking lot facing east when i caught sight of a pair of very bright lights in the sky. I stood there looking at them for about 5 mins. I dropped me cigerette and ran back down the road to the main lobby. One of the security staff was sitting at the desk. I told him that i had seen a few bright lights in the sky and that i was going to the top of the 700 wing to get a better view.( that wing has 6 floors and the roof there is the highest part of the building.) I asked if he would come with me up there and he agreed. We took the elevator up then walked the 2 flights of stairs to get to the roof. We stepped out onto the roof and i immediatly saw the 2 lights right away. i pointed them out to the gaurd. We watched both lights for about 5 mins. One of the lights blacked out and was no longer visable but the one that was became even brighter. It began to move across the horizen towards the south. It then stopped and started to pulsate. When this began to happen i noticed there was a plane off behind and below the light. This is how we know that it was just hovering there. After a few more minutes i noticed the light had a black ring around the center of it. I turned to say something to the gaurd and when i turned back the light was gone. We looed around but couldn't see anything but then another light appaere and it looked just like the other. That light blinkked out as well after 30 seconds. After a a few minutes a dimmly lit object started to move towards the south, then what i thought was a plane started to follow the dim light. The 2 got very close, travelling almost parellel to each. Then the one i thought was a plane suddenly stopped following the other light and beganto get as bright as the previous object. It then dimmed out and was not visable.We didn't see any! thing el se the rest of the night.

I got home and told my brotherwhat i had seen and he looked at me in amazment and told me that he was driving down the road from the country club and saw a similar bright light in the sky that moved to the south and blinked out just like the lights the gaurd and i saw.

they were stars that moved all over the place

we saw them in the light coming off of a building. they were moving too fast to be birds and did manuvers that birds cant do. they would sudenly stop or make right angle turns. sometimes they would split into two. four of them flew in a formation. some flew in circles around each other. there was one that was many times bigger than the rest. it was shaped kind of like a bird but in looked smoothe like skin, its wings were pointed more than a bird, and it flapped its wings different than a bird. it flapped them more like a stingray like they were made of a rubberlike or cartilage material. there was only one like that, the rest were a lot smaller and disk shaped.

We saw a sm, rectang. object 2x with a hum & circ., wavy-patterned air around it make quick 90 deg turns w unbelievable speed

On 9/30/05 at 3:15pm and again at 5:20pm, I heard a strange humming sound coming from above which caused me to look into the sky.

When I looked up I saw at about 40,000- 50,000 feet directly above me a small rectangular, white object with a circular wavy- patterned air disturbance "pocket" around it, no following contrail.

At first it made a left 90 deg turn and then a quick right 90 deg turn to the south and then it quickly (faster than any jet or plane)sped off over the horizon.

Again at 5:20pm I heard the same humming sound at which time I called to my wife inside the house to quickly bring the binoculars. When she came outside (within 10 sec) she also heard the hum and saw the same object in the south sky about 45 deg off the horizon.

She tried to look at the object thru the binoculars, but was unable to find it so she lowered them, located the object again a fair distance from where it was and tried again to locate it in the binoculars.

Again unsuccessful, she lowered the binoculars, located the object again at which time it sped off over the horizon.

It was a perfectly blue sky with no clouds, temp about 75 deg. I am a navy veteran, a pilot for 40 years and a retired CRNA, my wife is an RN.

I (age 44 M) was riding as a passenger in vehicle heading South on U.S. 94 about 5 miles North of Monticello, Minnesota on Saturday, July 30, 2005 about 12:15 A.M.

My Brother (age 42) was driving. He noticed what at first appeared to be a large meteror passing by up and in front of the vehicle moving from the South to the North. He said that it had a tail - I did not notice a tail.

The object appeared to slow down and turn into a bright white disk. It was "floating" down - heading toward the ground, going much too slowly to be a meteror. It was heading down in a straight line, and then disappeared over a hill at least 2 miles away. We both commented that we had never seen anything like that before.

My Brother is college educated in the real estate business - I have a doctorate degree.

Three fireballs repeated approx. every 30 sec. apart just south of Monticello

I was driving on Springboro Rd. driving north toward Monticello from Ind. 18 at about 8:30 P.M. when I noticed three fireballs to the northeast of my location. They appeared in quickly one after another, about a half second between each, in an area approx a moon's width apart. The fireballs were a bright orange color, similar to a road flare, and lasted about five seconds, with the first one to appear being the first one to go out and so on. I continued to watch the area of sky where the lights appeared and continued to see the same three fireball cycle continue for the next 5 to 7 minutes,with the cycle repeating, about every thirty seconds, until I was directly west of the fireballs. I guessed, based on a cell phone tower that the fireballs were in front of, that the fireballs were located approx. 3 to 4 miles southeast of Monticello at a height of 2,000 to 4,000 ft. There were aircraft in the area that I feel were military but these aircraft were all to the west of my location and were doing some kind of training activities with each other, which is a common thing to see at that time on Thursday nights. This is not the first time I have seen the fireballs, but it is the first time I have been certain it was not a naturally occuring fireball.

Three dots of light in Earth's orbit moving east and then disappeared.

I'm sure there is a logical explaination for this: While star gazing and also watching for satellites and comparing with a website which tracks near earth objects, I noticed three "dots" , not UFO's (for lack of a better description) and they were in a 'formation'. One was in the lead, the other two were following, one on either side. As I watched, I turned on my night vision to possibly get a better look. Looking through the night vision, I confirmed the three objects and noted that they seemed to be travling either East or maybe away from earth. They were not moving really fast or anything, just moving enough that you could tell they were not stars. They were definately not in our atmosphere, WAY UP. Anyway, the one behind and to the right of the lead one began overtaking the lead one and then they dimmed out into nothing, disappeared, whatever. I don't know. What was it? You Tell Me? The NEO website did not show three things that were supposed to be together in that area of the sky at that time. I don't believe there are aliens prowling around, I don't believe in them at all. I'm Christian. If there were, I believe there would be better evidence than what there currently is. One problem I have with UFO sightings is this, If these beings are so advanced and traveled so far to get here to our insignificant planet, then why do they need running lights on there space craft? Don't you think they would be able to move around in the dark without being seen? I just want an idea what this could really be. Can anyone help me with this?

Last friday night around 9:00 p.m. I was sitting on my front porch when I noticed a light out of the corner of my eye. I turned to look and noticed six lights in a circle hovering in the sky. The lights were on for about 10 to 15 seconds then went off. In about 30 more seconds they came back on again about 200 yards to the north and stayed on for about 10 to 15 seconds before they went back off. That was the last I saw of them. All I could see were the lights. Friday was a very hazy night in Monticello.

Many lights went by us and followed us when we ran.

We were making out in a cornfield when we heard a strage humming noice. We looked around and one of our group spotted a group of lights headed just slightly away from us. There were about 8 of them and they seemed to be traveling at an astonishingly fast speed that was steadily moving about one hundred feet above us. Some of the more timid members of our group got scared and we all ran with them south, and away from the lights. When we were running we could tell by how our shadows had shifted and moved to in front of us (rather than to the left) that they were following us. We ran and ran as they stayed aproximatly the same distance behind us when we then hid in a cave that was along the side of the rood. The next day those of us who lived nearby woke up to go to work and found that we must have walked in our sleep and hurt our noses (our pillows had a little blood on them) which we think must have been a psychological effect from taking in the fearsome sight of the UFO.

I like to snap pics of the surrounding area to use as reference for painting and sketching.... I had opened my bedroom window so as to get a clean shot and took a quick one of the barn and landscape in the back yard. I noticed nothing anamolous when I took the pic. Of course when I downloaded it off my camera it showed the 3 lights in a trangular pattern... I was inside the house at the time and the sun was in the west, the camera angle points to the east, so I think that lens flare or reflection of sunlight would not be an issue here. Not sure of that though. But would like to here if you have anything to say about this. Also, am not an avid ufo type, or I should say I wasnt out there looking for a ufo pic.

This is the second ufo I've seen in monticello. This one was bright orange and it kind of pulsated from dim to very bright. It was also bouncing around not going in a set direction. There was planes flying about, off in the distance so i thought, maybe a plane? but then it did something a plane does not do, it got real bright and went out as if someone blew a candle out. The other one i seen was in 1989, it was a florcient blue and cigar shaped. a friend of mine and i where near a park named dehoise park and there it was hovering over some trees that overlooked the lake. We both seen it and agreed it was a ufo and when we looked back at it, it was gone.

Bright White Light

A bright white light traveled across the sky from southwest to northeast. It was directly south of me when I first saw it. I called for my daughter to bring binoculars. By then the object was in the east. Viewed through binoculars the object did not display the normal light configuration of an airplane. There were no red or green or flashing white lights. The object was at an estimated altitude of 20,000 feet and traveled at a speed comparable to that of a Lear Jet traveling at that altitude. It made no manuvers, and did not make ANY sound. The object passed south and east of my location (2 miles North of Monticello) It appeared to pass directly over the town and flew northeast on a course that would have carried it near the town of Quitman, Georgia. As it passed though an area of light cloud it gave off the kind of aura that is usually seen when car headlights move through fog. I am a retired USAF NCO with 25 years aircraft maintenance experience. I am also an astonomy enthusiast. The Object was not an airplane that I could identify and was not a star, or meterior. This report is not very timely, but may corrobarate some other sighting.

Golden/Amber bright star like light glows for 3-5 seconds and fades. Reappears 10-15 seconds in another location. 3 jets scramble the area.

While sitting in a hot tub only minutes after we entered. My wife saw a light and asked if it was a star in the east at about the tree line. It was almost the same size and distance to resemble a star. But as we looked, it slowly faded. I replied, well I don't think stars disappear. So we kept watching. Every 15-30 seconds it would appear in a different location but at the same level of horizon but many miles apart. This happened about 10-11 times. While this was happening there were 3 jets that would alternate flying west to east and circle back. As the jet got closer the light would reappear then fade. At one time as the jet appeared a smaller light left the light object as if a missle tracking a target. This light either circled the jet or just faded as it got closer to the jet. I commented to my wife that I was expecting an explosion as I felt it was just like the Patriot missle that would track and explode the Scud missle. As soon as this streamer light (which did leave a visible path trail) faded. 2 lights the same size reappeared and one was just above the other. They lit up for 3-5 seconds and then faded. All this time the jets circled or criss crossed. After 8:15 the objects did not reappear( at least in the East) but I did see jets circling in the north only minutes later. Also about an hour later the satelite dish which is Dish network was split screen for about 10 minutes. This may just be coincidental. I am very interested if anyone may have seen the same thing. I am searching the web now and will watch the news tonight.

Happened to catch a very bright and large green fireball streek through the sky in Iowa.

I was sitting in front of our computer here at my house and was watching a movie(Chasing Amy on Starz) that was on a small TV located in front of two windows looking out at our front yard that is facing to the west. Shortly after checking my email, I was turned to watch the movie when I caught a fast moving light passing through the branches of a tree in our front yard when I first took notice. Thanks to my astronomy class I took in college, I can say that it was at about 75 degrees in the western sky travelling to the west, northwest and dissapeared at around 45 degrees(with of course 90 degrees being straight above my head). I live in a small town of 3500 people and not far from our downtown area with pleanty of light polution to boot, more than you would think. This fireball was five times brighter than any meteor I saw during the meteor showers last night that I viewed from my drive way. And the color was bright, almost a neon green. Might I also add, it was an incredible sight and I practically kicked myself when I saw it. I was in awe and disappointment that no one else was around to see it with me. I am a 20 year old college student majoring in film and media studies with a minor in psych and go to the U of Iowa in Iowa City and am home currently on summer break. I'm moving back to school over this week. I'm an amatuer, amatuer astronomer wanna be and heard about this site through Art Bell which I am an avid fan. Just wanted to do my part and report this. "On August 25, 1995, at approximately 12:40 am, my wife and I were driving Westbound on Route 17 in New York State.

As we neared exit 107, near monticello (at the top of a Mountain), I saw a large bright object streak across the sky at about a 15 degree inclination to the horizon.

I first saw the object in my right side of vision and I followed it until it passed over the horizon on my left side of vision. The object took about 4 seconds to traverse this entire distance. The object appeared to move at a constant velocity without acceleration.

The object was emanating bright light of a strange blue-green tint. It was not as bright as a car's headlights. The object appeared to have a precise circular cross section. (I was struck by, and focused on, the object's precise edges.)

The object did not trail a plume or any other meteor-like scatter. The object was dark at the top and near the center, and I could discern various precise geometric structures in these darker area, as if they were mechanical or machine-like. The object displaced abou 1/2 steradian, equivalent to that displaced by the moon: therefore, the object appeared to be the size of the moon.

I believe the object was quite distant from me. Just before the object reached the left-hand horizon, it emitted what we physicists call an S-wave. That is, a spherical "bubble of light" emanated from the object.

This spherical "bubble of light" obviously was not travelling at the velocity of light, but it was moving very fast, possibly faster than the velocity of sound. I talked to several knowledgeable physicists about this phenomenon, and so far, nobody was able to give an adequate explanation.

I am reporting this 12 years later, so some of the details I won't remember. I was driving home after school, and I was on a side road getting ready to turn on to a more travelled road. As I slowed to stop before turning onto the road, I looked in my rearview mirror and saw something flying very quickly in the distance--it would have been like I was looking over my right shoulder. At first, the sun glinting on the object made it catch my eye. At first I thought it was a ballon and was catching the sun funny, but then it began to get closer, and I could see it was too large and moving too fast. However, it was too small to be a plane, and too low and too fast. The object flew over and above the trees and to the right. By this time, I had turned onto the road, but I had slowed down to look, and two other cars had slowed also--so it wasn't just me. I tried to make myself think it was a sophisticated R/C toy of some kind, but it was too big for that. It was very, VERY quickly gone. This whole incident was 1-2 minutes in length.

The object (I got a brief good look when it was overhead) was chevron/triangular shaped, with steady lights at each corner and (I think) some moving lights between the corners. It was silent and, as I've said, small and fast. I did tell some others, and we thought it might be an experimental military device. I think it was too small for anyone/thing to be in it. It is hard for me to know how high it was since it was a very clear and bright day with no clouds. I had nothing to compare it to in the bright blue sky.

im not exactly sure what the date was but we were sleeping out on the lawn. saw a object zig zagging across the sky. it would appear to move great distances in a split second. It would move and it appear to hover and spin. had three lights you could see when it was hovering and spinning.then it would zip across the sky. Made approximately for or five high speed passes in all directions'then it fly over the blue mountains and was gone.To this day never seen nothing like it.…
