Weird ufo over the inverness lake

On the night of May 6th, 2025, my wife and I were standing near the lake in Inverness, FL, when we witnessed an unidentified flying object high in the sky. It first appeared as a bright red object, resembling a large, slow-moving shooting star with a solid red “fire trail” extending behind it. Unlike a meteor, the object was ascending—moving upward slowly in a completely controlled, steady path.

As we continued watching, the object came to a complete stop in the sky, hovering silently. At that moment, the red glow shifted to a bright white light before the object completely disappeared from view for a brief moment. Shortly after, it reappeared as a dim red dot further away, this time exhibiting lateral (side-to-side) movement, almost as if scanning or observing. It made no sound the entire time.

The object then began to grow smaller and smaller, fading into the night sky in a straight upward direction, as if leaving the atmosphere or planet entirely. We observed it until it was no longer visible. The motion and behavior were unlike anything we’ve ever seen — not consistent with a plane, drone, meteor, or satellite.

Both of us were completely sober and alert, and we’ve never seen anything remotely like this before. The movement, color shifts, sudden disappearance and reappearance, and silent motion ruled out any conventional explanation we could think of.

To whom it may concern: Saturday, June 13th about 11 pm Inverness, Florida. My wife and I were sitting by the pool when she seen something unusual and asked me if I seen it.

I turned and there was a large fireball moving slowly from the north and turning west. It appeared to be about 500 feet above the trees and was completely silent.

We went inside and told our 15 year old daughter Sierra, (aka Digit), and our 50 year old son, Tony what we had seen. My wife (Amanda) and daughter went back outside, Tony wanted me to show him where we had seen it so we went outside also.

It had been about ten minutes since we first seen the Fireball when it appeared again. Sierra took a picture with her phone and Tony and I started videoing with our phones. It came from the north as before and again turned and went west.

I posted the picture and video on my Facebook page as did Tony, the fireball was much bigger than it appeared in the video. I’m not at all sure what we saw, but I know what it wasn’t… It was not phosphorus, a weather balloon, gas, fireworks, helicopter, or SpaceX.

After telling a few friends I now understand why some people are reluctant to mention it. Had I seen the picture and video we posted I would have thought it to be fake.

This statement is true and witnessed by the four of us.

500 foot wide silver object moved over 2 1000 foot radio towers no sound then disapiered

I was in the country feeding some dogs and I looked up and about one half mile in front of me was two 1000 foot radio towers and beside the towers was a cloud I thought that was strange because it was the only one in the sky as I watched it dissipated pretty fast and I was shocked to see a object about 500 feet wide it was silver and it started to move over the 2 1000 foot radio towers

I was looking east at the object and it started to move east out away from me it moved slow and made no sound then as I looked it just faded out of sight I was in the army 8 years and I saw a lot of things but nothing like this I know our aircraft and this was not ours as I watched it leave I took note it was about 150 foot thick and it was real sleek there was no wings no windows it was just a silver object I go to church and GOD said he has other sheep and now I know its true we are not alone it does not matter to me if people don't believe me I know what I saw and to every one out there take time to look up it would have been so easy to miss what I saw you really have to stop and look it was a scary thing and I hope to not see another one but I will be looking

Previous report filed, containing only one, highly compressed, video. The following is a more complete description, with links to all 4 videos, but the originals are too large to attach here. Feel free to append this to, or replace the original report.

11/9/13 Inverness, Florida

I saw approximately 10 bright orange objects passing from east to west, somewhat south of my location (Lat 28.8731 N Long 82.3606 W). All of the clips are really dark (sorry, shot at night), so they are best viewed full-screen, on a large monitor. It will also help if the room is dark.

I recorded a total of 4 videos, some, when viewed in the original format, display terrestrial reference points. However, video enhancement would probably show trees, and such, on all of the clips. Each video is of different objects, with some clips showing multiple objects at the same time.

Each video was shot using a Nokia 928 cellphone, with an 8MP camera. They are all recorded at 1920x1080 resolution, at 30FPS. The file names show the dates and times that each was recorded. The earliest recording started at 19:44:56 EST, and the last started at 19:49:28 EST. The cellphone was held in the vertical position (long side from top to bottom), so when viewed in a video player, the clips may appear sideways. If viewed sideways, east will be at the bottom of the screen, and the top of the original clip will be to the left side of your screen.

The objects did not pass all at the same time, in any sort of "formation". They passed during a couple minute period, at somewhat varying separations, and they seemed to vary in distance, but they all did appear to be tracking on parallel courses. To the naked eye, the objects were a fairly bright yellow-orange, and the general appearance did not appear to change with the viewing angle. It looked the same approaching (from the east), when they were even with me (looking directly south) and departing (to the west). The trajectory of every object was straight, there were no sharp turns, or zig-zags. Any perceived movements of that sort, in the videos, were due to my inability to hold the cellphone steady. Where the objects appear to stay in one place, "hovering", this is due to me doing a better job of panning with it, All objects continued moving at a steady pace, and did not stop.

19:44:56 This video shows at least 3 objects. The bright white light is the moon, At some point, near the end, my neighbor's porch is seen.

19:46:20 This video shows one object, passing over the roof line of the neighboring apartment. The light colored area, near the top, at the start of the clip, is the eave of my apartment. The lighted area is on the neighbor's porch, the bright white light, in the upper left, near the end, is the moon.

19:48:36 This clip has no obvious points of reference, and also displays "streaking". The movement is due to me moving the cellphone, not amazing maneuvers. I tried to pan with the object, as it crossed the sky, but that is not apparent.

19:49:28 This one shows a single object. It appears that I was fairly successful at keeping it centered, as it moved. The object was definitely moving, from east to west, and fairly quickly.

There was no apparent sound, associated with their passage, nor any debris tails (like with meteors or space junk burning up).

There were multiple witnesses to the event. I was with someone, and I also heard other nearby voices, in the area, making statements about what was seen.

2 orange spheres moving from south to north and seen by 3 people

My sister and I were looking out my back windows for fireworks displays. Suddenly a very bright orange sphere slowly crossed the sky in the east. It was traveling from the south to the north.

We live about 15 miles NW of O’Hare, and after watching planes take off and land for over 10 years, I can say this was not an aircraft. It was approximately the size of a green pea held out at arm’s length.

I called my husband who was upstairs looking for fireworks from the bedroom window to tell him about it, and he said he saw it too. I should point out that he is an engineer and a huge skeptic, especially about UFOs.

He came downstairs to discuss it, and as I glanced out the window there was another one, same size, same orange color, following the same path.

All three of us also observed this one as well.

Stationary object over with flashing colored lights in center and 4 or 5 dark disks on side of object.

At approximately 1:17 am the morning of November 2, I noticed through the window a green flashing light about 40 degrees above the eastern horizon that appeared to be slightly larger than the size of a large star. I studied the light because the green color flashing alternating with red then white seemed odd to me. The object did not move but appeared to stay suspended in the same location. After 10 minutes of waiting for it to move in the sky or to better recognize this type of pulsing or flashing light as a celestial body, I got out my little Nikon 9 x 25 binoculars for a better look, and then the object became much more visible. At this point I woke up my husband and he observed the following as well through the binoculars: This object was flashing a brilliant blue, red, yellow, white sequence that changed or alternated color about once per second, almost in time to my ticking mantel clock. I presumed the green I’d seen without binoculars was a blending of the yellow and blue in the atmosphere. The brilliant colors of the flashing or pulsing light all originated from the center of the object, sometimes flashing brighter than other times. The object seemed quite distant, as the atmospheric distortion between it and me on the ground made it difficult to focus at times. But by holding as still as I could and resting my arms on the window, the object's shape and further details became apparent.

The object appeared to be flat across the bottom, with “walls” that were roughly 1/4 the height of the overall width of the object. It seemed to rise higher in the middle from where the light pulsed. On the "walls" of the object, there were 2 large round dark disks or circles on each side of the central disk through or over which flashed the pulsing lights. In other words, there seemed to be 5 very large circular disks evenly spaced along the sides of the object, 2 on each side of the centrally located flashing light.

The details, for all the distortion and difficulty with keeping the object in focus, were actually quite sharp and surprisingly clear. At approximately 1:55am I stopped watching the object which still was in approximately the same location and went to bed. I did not take a photograph.

I’m an attorney with a Masters in Urban Planning and my husband is an orthodontist. Neither of us has seen anything like this before. I grew up in the country in Ohio and am somewhat familiar with the night sky this time of year, and have seen Sirius as bright as this. By using binoculars, the object appeared to be an object that was not part of the normal night sky.

I will confirm this "sighting" or debunk it tonight at 1:00 am Central time. If the object was indeed Sirius, then it will reappear and have similar characteristics.

Orange fireball (?) over Inverness, FL night sky

My husband and I were driving east in hwy 44 into Inverness with our daughter in the car as well. We were right in front of the Super Walmart when I saw an orange glowing object in the sky. My husband had seen the exact same thing a week ago when he was by himself. I asked him if that was what he saw and he said "YES!!".

We watched it as we drove and it appeared to be either traveling away from us or was getting dimmer. It got smaller and smaller then eventually faded out, popped back on for a brief second then was gone. There was a slight haze around it just before it went out. It was a crystal clear night so it didn't go behind any clouds. When we first saw it it looked about the size of a street light off in the distance, but was up too high to be a street light. It also did not have any other colors or flashing lights but a bright orange glow. We did see an airplane flying the opposite direction shortly after, but you could clearly tell that was an airplane as it had flashing lights.

A multi colored brightly shining star it was not!

It first appeared as a bright star in the night sky, but after closer observation & taking pictures & video we realised it was something more. It was circular in shape & had multiple colors, from the video it was obvious that is was spinning & had a pattern to it.

Twirling oval black "thing" dissapeared beneath the tree tops

I'm not exactly sure what I saw but I saw something that my mind can't make sense out of.

I was driving south on 41 around a long turn. About a quarter mile into the forest I noticed a large, oval-shaped dark object slowly "flipping" and descending. I thought it was some sort of weather balloon being dragged down by some very thin ropes.

It was oval shaped and twirled like a clock. It was very dark. I couldn't really make out what it was at all, despite its size. I watched it for about 10 seconds as it slowly hid out of sight beneath the tree tops. I was in a hurry to get somewhere but it really caught my attention. But the more I think about this the less sense it makes.

This is a very small and predictable town. Perhaps it was nothing extraordinary. I really don't know what to make out of it.

A purple-ish blue figure in the sky twirling in a box like motion, very very freaky!!

A couple of my relatives were over earlier this evening before the event took place. While standing outside saying goodbye, my younger nephew was screaming. So instinctively my family and i wanted to know what was wrong. That is when we all noticed what he was pointing at. I, myself was very shocked and breath taken, do not believe of other life being on distant planets. But this event shocked the hell out of me and is making me re-think.

What we saw-a purple-ish blue figure in the sky twirling in a box like motion. It made no sounds and gave us all an ominous feeling in the guts of our stomachs. It lasted about 25-30 seconds before it dissociated from as far as we could see.

Long story short, very very freaky.

P.S.--We do not have any airports near by, and where i reside is made up of a community of senior citizens.

An extremely loud noise lasting 3-4 minutes. Booming and hissing. Slowly faded away.

I’m reporting this here for lack of a better avenue. I’ve already reported this to the local police and they had no idea (though they took the report seriously). But then again, this is a very small town and people tend to be very unconcerned here.

A little before 11pm, an extremely bizarre series of noises awoke me and my husband. It was a very loud series of booms or clangs along with a very loud hissing or static noise. The booms were about 1-3 seconds apart and were random. The "hissing" noise was consistent.

The noise was coming from the sky and we determined it was moving. The first few minutes very loud and it got progressively quieter. No car stereo could possibly muster that much volume and it really sounded it was coming from above.

Now, we live ½ mile from a race track and small airport and I’m from a large city. I’ve heard a lot of noise in my life but NOTHING REMOTELY LIKE THIS. It was way louder than the nearby racetrack or airport ever was.

It was so loud and disconcerting we were watching the news because we thought something crazy happened but nothing. Again, it’s very bizarre. I wouldn’t know what to make out of this. My husband half-jokingly said it could be one of those military aircrafts but what would they be doing flying over a small town like this? Neither of us could remotely recognize either the clanging/booming nor the air pressure-like hissing to anything.

P.S. The police did say there was a boat show but that’s at least 20 minutes away. We’ve heard fire works go off (the big ones) and this was nothing like it. Again, the booms were a little random but where going off in a pattern for about 3-4 minutes straight.

Somebody else must’ve heard this!

Triangular shaped object see over Rt.14 - Rt. 68 in Inverness Illinois.

I am a physician, whose hobby is astronomy.

I was driving northbound on Ela road just south if Dundee Ave. tonight when I noticed an aircraft initially traveling southwest and banking leftward toward a south-southeasterly direction. The radius of these turns was small, and very smooth.

As the aircraft approached, I notices green wing-tip lights as opposed to the customary red left wing, green right wing tips. I wondered what kind of airplane this was.

As I continued to drive northbound I could see the shape of the craft via the light configuration. It had a triangular shape and appeared to be hovering and not moving across my field of vision as a regular airplane would do.

I rolled open my sunroof and heard no airplane prop or jet engine noises.

The craft then proceed to slowly move in a continuingly southeastern direction, at what seemed like a slow drifting motion. I then lost sight of it due to the tree-line.

The sky tonight is clear and cold...about 30 degrees. I'm not sure what it was. I would estimate that its altitude was approx. 2000-3000 ft. up.

I also noticed a centrally positioned red light in the middle of the undersurface of the craft.

I'm wondering if anyone else saw this object tonight.

My sighting lasted about 60 seconds. Closest intersection is Il. Rt 14 and Dundee Rd. @ 10.00 p.m..

A large rectangular ship making a humming sound was sighted over my house late in 1994.

Late in 1994, I stepped outside at around 9:00 at night to take my dog out in the yard. I stepped out, walked around for a bit, then we came back to the door, and something caught my eye.

I live by a lake and over the lake I saw some lights blinking in the distance. I watched for a few moments and they started coming closer. The lights were white and orangish.

Well, it disappeared for a few seconds then it came right up to my house. It was just sitting there in the sky and it was huge. It made a low humming or vibrating sound. The UFO was a rectangular shape.

My dog started growling and hissing and I was getting a little freaked out. It was really magnificent.

Then it slowly started to sail away back behind the trees and soon it ascended and disappeared.
