Object was photographed, but not seen at the time the photo was taken.

May 12, 2021, my girlfriend photographed a rainbow with an iPhone 10 in three consecutive photos (1 – 3). The last photograph (3.) captured a white oval shaped object.

I have included the photos with their descriptions.

Photo Information:
1. First photo is of the rainbow, zoomed in.
2. Second photo is of the rainbow, zoomed out.
3. Third photo is of the rainbow, again zoomed in, but this time however the photo caught an oval shaped object at the top center of the image, which was not seen by the photographer at the time the photo was taken. It was seen only a couple of days later when I examined the photos.
4. This is simply an enlargement of the oval shape with no adjustment to the color or contrast. It is interesting by the fact that it looks as if there is disturbance in the air above and around the object.
5. The contrast is boosted in this image, as well I increased the DPI to reduce the pixelization to smooth it out. When I did this, I was expecting to see simply a white shape getting whiter. What really struck me were the colors that were hidden in the bleached-out whiteness of object in the original state.
6. This photo has the contrast pushed almost to the maximum.

I have no idea what this is, and I have never seen this kind of shape appearing in an iPhone 10 image before, assuming it could be a glitch in the picture.

Assuming it is not a glitch, but an actual object, if I were to interpret the colors in photos 4, 5 And 6, I would say the first photo captured an object as it is falling, leaving a sort of wake in the air above it. 5 Looks like the bottom part of the object is heated up while the top is cooler. 6 is that concept visually enhanced.

Yesterday on November 17, 2020, around 6 PM I was traveling from Charlotte, North Carolina to Belmont, North Carolina when I observed a strange object in the sky. I observed it for 5-7 minutes. After I arrived to my home, I parked and began walking towards an area where I hoped to continue observing it but I could not see it.

The object appeared large and was positioned vertically and shaped like a stretched out oval with the bottom of the oval being denser in mass the top. The top of the oval almost appeared to trail the object, which first led me to believe it may be a comet. When the object did not move it was apparent it was not a comet. It was white with a light orange hue and was opaque with the outer rim having a cloudlike quality that was less opaque. The center of the object was black and had no opaque quality. The center did not appear to be reflecting light. The black center contrasted starkly with the outer rim.

I could not see anything solid in the center – only blackness, almost like a dark hole.

Bright white flashing lights in the sky caught our attention. We only had a view through the trees and could not make out the shape of the crafts (there appeared to be two). One craft had multiple lights, possibly four, blinking randomly but with only one light lit at a time. The other craft had a single, non-flashing light. Both were moving away from us, heading roughly east, toward the Belknap mountains.

AFTER RECEIVING SAID CALL, I WENT OUTSIDE TO VERIFY IF THE OBJECT COULD BE SEEN FROM MY LOCATION. DUE NORTH OF MY LOCATION THERE IS AN OBJECT IN THE SKY THAT WAS APPEARING TO FLASH CLEAR, GREEN AND RED LIGHTS. I THEN TURN AND LOOKED SOUTH SOUTH EAST OF MY LOCATION AN OBSERVED SIMILAR LOOKING OBJECT IN THE SKY FLASHING THE SAME COLORS. ORIGINAL CALLER CALLED BACK NUMERIOUS TIME AND REPORTED THAT THE OBJECT WAS NOT MOVING AND HE WAS LOOKING AT IT THRU A TELESCOPE AND THE OBJECT APPEARED TO BE LARGER THAT A PLANE. CONTACT WAS MADE WITH BUFFALO AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TO VERIFY IF THERE WAS ANY AIR TRAFFIC IN THE AREA. My boyfriend and I were driving over the bridge over the Rogue River on Jupiter Rd. heading South. He was talking as I watched what I thought was a meteorite, just as it got closer, it slowed (which I knew was not normal if it were a meteorite), so I pointed to him and said, "Look!" The light surrounding the item went out.

I said, "What did you just see?" He responded, "A ball of light that went out. If you didn't point I would have not believed you when you told me about it."

It would have hit the water, but we did not see or hear anything.

Black mass floating and traveling SouthEast in Belmont NC

As my wife and I were walking our dog a black mass (thought it was a bird at first) caught my attention south west of downtown Belmont. The mass seemed to appear out of nowhere and hovered for a moment but then proceeded to travel in a southeast direction making no noise.

At first, I thought this may have been a bird but there was no flapping of wings as it progressed further in its travel. Unsure of what this thing was other than unidentified.

Object with bright light and blue/green tint moves rapidly and silently through Belmont

At around 10:45 PM on Wednesday, April 1, I was laying on my couch in the living room looking outside the front window and saw a very bright light, with a faint blue/green tint surrounding, move rapidly behind my neighbor’s houses across the street.

From the angle I was looking out my window, this object could have been miles away, but definitely looked much closer.

The roundish object moved horizontally in a fairly straight line from SW to W. I only saw the object for a second or two since the opening between my neighbor’s houses is only 25-30 feet.

The object didn’t have any tail behind it as it passed and didn’t make any sound that I could hear.

Organized fireballs over Belmont, NH. Coordinated with separate occurrence also visible.

Driving home my friend and I noticed a bright orange light entering the horizon from our right. We immediately asked each other what it was noticing it was moving very slow, wasn't blinking and seemed to burn orange with no tail or sound.

The light drifted a visual distance of a foot to a foot and a half before it appeared to drift in our direction. We would later comment that it seemed to notice our headlights and swerved in to investigate. I put my car in park as the second light entered from the same direction.

The second light passed with seemingly more resolve. It was larger and passed by much the same way. The first light had seemed to pick its spot in the sky to diminish in brightness. Light number two seemed to decide on turning in our direction more aggressively at this point I felt nervous and turned off my headlights.

Upon turning off my headlights, the second light went the same as the first. This one persisted as the third enter from the right.

My co-witness captured crude photos on his cell phone as well as a short video capturing their pass.

The third light, more consistent in brightness did not seem to notice us as it passed by and went the way of the previous two.

These lights were bright and clearly different from the other celestial bodies. I compared it to my wife later as a fireball who's light reflected off a thin mist.

When we returned home upon completing a short scan for any other such objects we noticed a second 'patch' of three similarly moving, similarly colored objects moving on the horizon. The second patch was too far to see with the same profound detail however the similar behavior led us to a relative conclusion.

The reason for the + followed by the question mark is that along with the obviously unique sightings mentioned earlier, a huge number of 'stars' were acting very odd. More like a junebug around a streetlight then a star. Wiggling and pulling from side to side. These 'wigglers' can be found nearly every night however the six fireballs are things we have never seen before and defy our ability to explain.

It was dark, and I was riding past a church in Belmont, NC. I saw three red lights to my left hovering above the ground in a triangle pattern.

I stopped my car, rolled down my window and attempted to take a photograph, but it was too dark outside. The red lights were initially on, then went off in a pattern - circular and clockwise around the triangle, then came back on in opposite fashion before going off completely.

There was no jet or helicopter blade noise, just silence.

Saw what I thought to be a star off over treeline, then didn't remember it being there a few minutes ago.

Okay I live in heavy air traffic area as well from CLT. For a few seconds appeared to be coming slightly closer then stopped and begin darting from right to left up and down and changing in brightness, this was no airplane any plane would have broken apart moving like this.

Only traveled what looked like small increments and stayed around one area for about ten to fifteen minutes. slowly drifted out of sight and then I couldn't see at all.

Two orange dot moving across the night sky.

We saw what appeared to by two separate flames. My wife asked if it could be hot air balloons, but I stated it was moving to fast. It or they appeared from the east/south east and moved off to the west/North West.

We heard no sound nor did we see any stars. I tried to take some pictures and saw what may have been one star, after enlarging the photo.

My friend and I were sitting in my backyard by my shed looking at the sky and I noticed an orange sphere shaped object much like Jupiter that was bigger than the stars around it. It hovered for 5-10 seconds and then went straight up in a zig-zag motion. And took the remaining time to cover a good portion of the visible sky time flying up and left through the sky before disappearing.

There were no blinking lights on this which rules out aircraft.

Me and 3 friends saw a bright orange orb slowly fly in and out of view.

On july 4th, me and three friends were on the end of a dock on the lake watching fireworks and swimming. one of my friends said something about how clear the sky was and that you could see a lot of stars. as we all agreed i kinda took a gaze into the sky admiring the clear night. i noticed a bright orange object just kinda moving along the tree line from maybee 2000 ft away.

i quickly realize that its not a firework or a plane or even a satalight. i tell my 3 friends to look and we all watched as it slowly moved through the sky. we were all kinda like wtf is that?!? it started to go over the tree line to where we could barely see it but it stoped right there and just dissapeard. it looked like a flame or a bright campfire, but with no defining shape. i call it an orb. there was also a plane going right over while we were watching this orb, kinda weird to see a plane then that thing cruisen near it. well its cool theres this website to report this, and i see where someone else saw the same thing the same night in skys not far away.

Deffinatly freaked me out a little but i am very interested in more information about this.

At 1907hrs on 16 April 2009, in Belmont, Maine, just outside of Belfast, I was in my house watching TV, when something caught my eye as it passed by one of our skylights. I repositioned myself and noticed it was unlike any aircraft I had seen, in person, before. (I grew up in not only an airline family, but also a military family just outside of DC.)

I made it outside before it left my field of view. It was a large aircraft, though size cannot be determined since it was dark and I live in Maine, therefore, there was no frame of reference as to size, speed, or altitude. I can say for sure that the aircraft DID emit a sound very similar to that of a jet engine, yet muffled.

The craft was triangular in shape, with three (3) white lights, one at each point of the triangle, and one (1) or two (2) red lights dead-center. The craft was in my field of view for approximately 10-15 seconds.

The two things that struck me as most odd were that none of the lights were blinking and there was no apparent attempt to evade public view.

I am a firefighter by trade and am trained to observe. I stand to gain nothing by reporting this.

Me and my daughter were driving home, both in separate vehicles. It was 10:30 at night in rural Northeast MS. My daughter was ahead of me in her car she saw the lights first then as I came up on them I almost ran off the road trying to see what the object was. We both saw a line of lights with one in the middle blinking, it was hovering above the ground just taller than the power lines. The closer we got the more triangular shaped the object seemed. My daughter then called my cell phone to see if I was seeing what she was seeing. By this time I had drove past the object but could still see it in my rear view mirror. I decided to turn around and go back to get a better look when I got back to the spot, the object was gone. Nothing flying off in the distance, no trees blowing around from it, no noise, nothing. When I had first saw it flashing in the distance I was thinking when did we get a cell tower there but as I got closer I realized it wasn’t attac! hed to anything. It was just hovering above the power lines and then it was gone. I don’t know what it was and I am not saying it was alien in origin but it was definitely unknown to us what it was. Also in the mid nineties me and my sister where driving from our parents house to my house and as we crossed over a railroad track a glowing green orb dropped down out of the sky, hovered for a second in front of us and then flew off. We looked at each other in disbelief then drove on home. Of course when you tell people these things they look at you like you are crazy. This I do know: first I am a Christian who believes the bible is the true inspired Word of God and it is infallible, second that I don’t believe in little green men and aliens that are visiting us and checking out how we live on earth, and third that I’m not crazy I did see something I could not identify Twice!!!!

I saw something unbelievable

it was a lonelly evening i was working at a private school in belmont, and i was locking up the building and as i was preparing to go home i liiked ((sic. Looked)) out a picture window which was very large by the front door to the right of the entrance i saw something that was unbelievable it was very scarry. it was a very large vehicle about 20 to 30 feet of the ground . it had a very large door open and i could tell this couldnt be happening the vehicle was as big as a 3 family house and it was a rust colored steel color very thick steel of some kind it was just vibrating and movind very slow i hid behind a pole praying the thing didnt see me and i stayed thier .i looked at it for about 3 to 4 min approximatly . i then peeked out and it was gone . it was something that defied gravity. it also had a humming sound .i looked good when i first saw this thing and i couldnt se any kind of anyone or thing inside it it was ! very dark inside where the door if it was a door was opened .this thing was unbelievablle . and it really terrifid me .

follow up on a 3 light ufo, awkwardly moving.

i submited a previous report, about 5 minutes ago, but recently, after i spoke to a representative from washington i believe, the ufo began moving at a staedy pace to the right. I figured it must have just been a statlite, but at that moment, it moved awkardly backwards, diagonally. It was much more visible before, but no i have to lean out of my porch to see it. It is what looks like 3 star clumped to form a triangle. It is no bigger than your fingernail, a full arms length away. It has changed colors, but in very long timespans. It went from whioth saw it and belive it is te, to red, blue and green light. It has what seems to be a trail of light connected to it. MY dad and siter both saw it and agree that it is a ufo. I triangulated its position, and it seems to be above me, a little bit closer to the horizon.

Star- looking, awkward moving, 3 lighted ufo.

I looked about mid horizon/above me. I saw what looked to be just a regular star. Although, blinking. Its is a combanation of 3 stars clumped together. I have been looking at it, and as my witnesses left, it started to move slightly, like trying to message me, as it moved, it made what looked like to be shapes. It moved at a steady rate, then returned to a state of rest. Although it looked originally like a star, it moved, and in too awkward a shape to be a satalite. There is what seems like a trail of light. Im still looking at it as i type this, and it still moves ocoasionally.

Group of white lights over lake

At 9:00 PM, a group of 12 white blinking lights were spotted over Lake Winnisquam, headed south over Belmont. I grabbed binoculars and followed in my truck. I lost sight of them because of trees. At the southern end of the lake I spotted 6 in a group, silently gliding through the sky just above the trees on the Belmont side.

The group had split up and these 6 had reversed direction and headed north. I observed them for 10 minutes until they were out of view.

At 10:30 PM, 3 blinking white lights, in single file but close together, slowly flew over Lake Winnisquam from Meredith, down the Sanbornton side. At the exact same time, all 3 stopped blinking and turned orange. The 3 orange lights continued slowly just above the wooded areas of Sanbornton and Belmont, until out of view.

PERFECT Triangle shaped craft. 3 lights on bottom (round) with dull glow on entire underside. The craft was observed over Lake Wylie

Myself and wife were driving home from an evening out with our 3 kids. We were driving down Southpoint Rd (parallel to Lake Wylie). Around 2315hrs, my wife observed an object flying in a strange manner and in a flight path that is not ever used. Southpoint Road leads to the Duke Power Allen steam plant and the main portion(s) of Lake Wylie. CLT International Airport is very close by but we were nowhere close to the flight path or paths that the airplanes ascend and descend.

When my wife observed this, she literally snatched my arm and pointed the object to me (she was driving). When I viewed the object, I was in total awe. The object was a half mile from us and was flying over the lake. I figure that the object was 1000 feet (probably less) from the ground. The object from flying west as we were heading east. We slowed down and were moving at a snails pace on the road to observe this phenomena. The object stopped, appeared to hover and then performed a swift 90 degree turn and was heading in our direction (towards the steam plant). We kept driving (slowly) and then noticed the object had changed course (back to the west). We then turned our vehicle around and went back to the original spot of where we viewed the object. When we arrived, the object was back in it's original position. We pulled into the high school parking lot and sat there viewing the object. Then the craft took a southerly course and flew over Gaither Road (towards the other side of Lake Wylie). The craft had NO SOUND and a dull yellow glow on the bottom. The three lights were dull also but a tad brighter. When the craft pulled away, it kept at a very slow pace and was very close to us. Unfortunately, there were a lot of trees/angle to where we could not track it after that. I am a 4 year veteran honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. I was an Operations Specialist (Radar operations). I am now a Project Manager with a Mechanical Engineering firm. I have been employed with this firm for 8 years. My wife is a homemaker (stay at home mom). We are both active in our community. The other witnesses were our kids (seven, five and two). The two older children observed this craft and were visibly/emotionally disturbed by it (probably from me and my wife's excitement). I will gladly submit to a polygraph test. This was truly amazing!!

Meteor like flaming ball, except much larger and closer in appearance.

This object looked similar to a meteor with the exception that it was much larger and appeared to be much closer. I have seen meteor showers in the past which look distant and rather small. This object looked like it was as close as an airplane would be. It was about the size of a walnut at that distance. It was a bright light with an orange glowing tail. It seemed to be moving across the horizon and downward and appeared for only for 1 to 2 seconds. I know this must be a meteor, but I don't understand how it could have been so large and appeared so close. I was startled by this sight, as I was riding as a passenger in a car driving down Ralston Ave. at approx 8 to 8:30 pm in Belmont, CA. The driver of the car also witnessed the event. I could not find any information on any meteors appearing in the local news today.

Large fireball seen near San Mateo Airport

We observed a large quarter sized object so near the San Mateo airport that we looked to see if a plane had crashed. In the sky over the mountains was a fireball that I could see pinkish and yellow waves of heat or electricity rolling off the backside. It had a bluish tail and shot off toward Santa Rosa moving very fast. I thought its to big to be a meteor as they look like shooting stars? This was never mentioned on the news that night and no plane reports either. It sure was a big well defined meteor.

The cigar shaped craft was hovering in the southwestern sky fairly close to the ground. There were lights on it. There was a bright "strobe" type light emitting from the bottom of the craft onto the forest floor. I went into the house to call my son to see it and when I came back it was gone. I saw this same craft the week before in the middle of the night and in the same area and it lasted over ten minutes before it suddenly disappeared from sight.

Faint starlike object moving in space at high speed stopped and lined up with other 3 faint stars.

My wife and I were taking our evening walk in the hills. I observed a faint star like object moving in darker space (mid-sky) far above, from northern to southern direction at a relatively high speed (almost faster speed as a passing satelite at lower altitude). When I saw it I immediately showed it to my wife. I thought it was a satelite, but as soon as it reached a certain point in sky it stopped. Then I saw that it was lined up with other 2 or 3 faint starts just like it in the sky, making and semi-curved line like a star cluster. At this time for another observer it could seem like another heavenly star cluster since the pattern was not moving. We continued our walk with this in mind that this may be another sighting and whether we should report it, until I found your web site. We figured well nothing we can do about that but to wonder.

Saw a bright green fireball with yellow tail shooting directly downwards

I was standing on my balcony when a bright green fireball with a yellow tail shot from above (approx 70 degress) to below my horizon (approx 45 degrees). The fireball was about the width of my thumb at arms length and had a glare similar to a magnesium flare (only green, not white). The tail had a length about 7 times the size of the fireball. In all, the object was as long as my middle finger held at arms length. It came straight down, 260 degrees by magnetic compass. It made no sound. I have no clue about its distance from me. Weather conditions reported at San Carlos (2 miles from here) at 8:45pm: Clear sky Wind WSW at 7mph Temp 59 degrees Pressure 30.12 (steady) Visibility 10 miles I've spent many years watching meteor showers and have never seen anything like this. Unlike meteors I'm used to seeing, this had a very shaprly defined shape, the magnesium flare like light was unusual and the tail had a constant length. I have no doubt this is a natural phenonmenon, but I know there have been many reports of unusual green fireballs in this area of the country over the last couple of years. A pencil lead streak across the sky dropped hundreds of miles, the object slowly move toward the west.

I was outside looking for something in the sky when this thing streaked across 3/4 of the sky. It started like a sharp pencle lead drawing a line across the sky, and the streak became a little widerer as it crossed the sky. The streak was a dull orange in color, and there was no flash of light like a meteor would produce. It traveled from a south by south-east toward the north by north-west in two seconds. It seemed to disappear into the north sky, but a few seconds later I realized the tail was the only thing that disappeared. The object had come to a complete stop, and the object was dropping toward me position. It dropped until it was four time size of Mars, or about the size of a 22-cal bullet. It looked like a distant white star when it stopped in the sky, but it looked like a bright white-orange ball when it stopped dropping toward my direction. It was about 1/2 mile north of my position, and its elevation was at about 10,000 ft. when it slowly (400 or 500 mph) moved due west of my position. My view was obscured by some trees, and I lost site of the object. I moved to a different location, but the object was out of my view. The object made no sound, nor did I see another tail or exhaust. The whole thing lasted a very short time, but the westerly movement was the most time consuming. This is the second time I have witnessed a strange object moving due west.

One large triangle craft, 20 small red, clear, and green lighted craft

my mom my youngest daugher and i went to pick up my other daughter from dance class, it was dark, we passed a feild with a row of trees in back, suddenlty we were blinded by a huge flying object with a bright light, it vanished but frightened us, on th way back we saw object with red light come up from behine tree and shoot into the sky so face and high, it stopped and formed a triangle with other objects with either clear, red, or green lights, each only had one light, and was small like teardrop shaped one man flying machine, we realized the sky was full, one would leave triangle and go to another they kept moving then shot back down, we drove to rea, but thout we lost them, we pulled i a place to turn around, there they were, there were 20 hovering about 10 feet off the ground in a straight line, my mom got scared, we think they saw us, she drove fast up to main road, no one was around, and for some reason we sat there atthe stop sign, then ahead of us we watched a big triangle shaped craft slowly rise from a feild behind some tree's, i opened my door and got out, i was not afraid but too calm to react, it came right over us, it floated slow,there were no lights on it, no sound, it looked black with blak squares like windows, then it just slowly went off towards where the small ones where, then my mom started screaming again, i called local news, but my mom said not to because people would think we were crazy, i am not exactly sure of date , many other sightings here in michigan at the same time, but this is not the only time!

a bright light followed a slow zigzag path from the horizon to the zenith then made a right angle turn

A group of campers went on an overnight trail ride and camped by a river near the Brentwood riding camp in western New York. Apparently the counselors had stayed up late chatting. Sometime after midnight they came around and woke us up to see what they hadd spotted in the sky.

We watched a shaky spot of light that hung just over the southern horizon in the middle of a circle stars. After about 10 minutes the light began to make its way towards the zenith, but it didn't travel in a straight line and it moved relatively slowly. It zigzagged from side to side as it moved upwards. Taking roughly 15 minutes to reach the zenith. It then made a right angle turn and headed down towards the western horizon moving in the same back and forth manner.

After about 5 minutes it changed course and in a straight lined zoomed away from the planet. It was gone in seconds.

The night was absolutely clear with no moon and the sky was full of stars. It was bright enough that we could see each other in the glow of starlight.
