The flying objects were in the sky and they were moving so fast, but it was dark so I could not see them well.

The flying object had different colors. One was red. One was green. One was yellow. The others were white light that look like stars and constantly stayed on. They were moving faster than airplanes. Two of them almost crashed into each, I thought they were going to crash. The noise become so loud, I got scared and went back into the house. One was very low that I could hear it. It did not sound like an airplane. Kind of sounded like a subway train.

Blue-green light in east sky moving in pattern

Saw a very peculiar thing in the eastern night sky, around 8 pm Tuesday night about five miles north of Ripley TN. Was clear and cold with tons of stars visible. A single bluish - green light, not blinking, was quickly tracing a daisy shape in the sky. Repeated the same pattern for about twenty minutes. Unable to determine size or distance but was as bright as surrounding stars. Rural area with trees in all directions around highway 51 so I don't think it was a drone (my first guess)

Succession of triangular craft, emitting flashing white and red light, and silent.

Succession of triangle shaped crafts, bright white light with red flashing lights, flying low in sky and made no sound.

Each craft flying about a half a mile apart in southwest direction. Would see a bright flash of light over the treeline then a craft would appear.

Happened in rural part of lauderdale county about 1/2 from Chickasaw Wildlife Refuge.

While talking on the phone with a friend, I observed a very bright light moving across the sky from SSW to ENE. I ask my friend who was on the phone to look at the sky from his location which is approximately 25-30 miles away, and he witnessed the same object moving across the night sky.

was standing out in the yard with binocualer looking at what i later found out was a twinkling star in the sw sky ,, notices strange triangle craft,no stobes, 3 dim lights, not visable without binoculars,, move from se to nw ,in southern sky very fast ,, only visable for a 7 to 10 seconds though gap in trees ,,, was not airliner, i see those all the time,, could be military,, my first sighting,,, lived in the city most of my life,, moved out in wild 2 months ago,, what have i been missing

Large bright light, no sound in the shape of a circle, with bright white halo,moving west to east

We witnessed a large extremely bright white light that was in a shape of a circle with the light being so bright that it gave itself its own white light halo. There was no sound or any blinking lights. It moved from west to east in the night sky at approximatly 10:00 p.m. As it moved farther away from our location, it diminished to a smaller "dot" and disappeared. As bright as it was, it did not cast any light on the ground. It was somewhat high in the sky, but was several sizes larger than any of the planes that were flying overhead.

A round shiney object that was slower than a helicopter and like a balloon.

Me and my little girl was driving down toward WalMart when she looked up and said daddy what is that plane doing going so slow.I looked up in the sky over the hill and this cirlular shape that was moving real slow like the speed of a helicopter but slower was bright aluminum color .Its shape was very distict, then I looked down at the road then looked up again in a clear sky and this shaped just disappeared into thin air.We parked and looked up in the sky and saw a jet and its vapor trail.But this thing moved very slow in the sky and was very hesitant at approxitly a mile upand there was no trail or anying and the sky was perfectly clear.

7 red/orange stationary objects appeared over Lake Erie on 10/10/04 for 15 minutes and then all disappeared at once.

Traveling on Route 20 west, 2 miles from Erie PA. Sunday , Oct 10, 2004, I was driving my friend observed these bright red/orange circular objects. 5 were in a semi circle, equally spaced apart and not moving (appeared over Lake Erie). we saw one beind them more north east in some clouds. One more was ahead south/west. in clear blue sky. We pulled over and then another car pulled off the road in front of use to also look. They were just hanging there and not moving. We did not see any aircraft around or jets. We watched them in the blue sky as the sun was setting. It was like the objects were picking up the relection. Finally they all disappeared at once. I don't believe in UFO's. We saw something we never saw before and want to know if this was something the sun was doing. We thought for sure something this big would have been in the newspapers, but nothing. However, I was mentioning this to a friend in Toronto and they said they heard somthing about it on TV. I didn't hear anyting in the USA/

Saw large rectangular object apparently cloaking itself in Tn. in 1990

Hi there,I just discovered your sight not long ago while pursing stories of ufo sighting in Mexico. Anyway I was curious and went to your archives and lo and behold a posting of 3/9/2004 drew my attention. I believe it was from Va. The report read that the person saw a large rectangular craft.......had a starry looking underside and so on.

well this really blew me away because in Oct. of 1990 I saw something that was very similiar. I was living in Ripley Tn at the time. My dog woke me up about 1:00 a.m. barking his head off. Thinking that maybe something was wrong with my horses I grabbed a flashlight and went outside to investigate. Seeing that the horses were fine, I found the dog barking in the back yard and looking up. At the time I didn't think to look up, but did hear a low hum like you'd hear from power lines only a bit deeper and louder. I got the dog around to the front yard and sat on the front porch steps to have a cig.Anyway I looked up to the sky since it was a clear and starry night and noticed a huge patch of stars that seemed to be very close.(meanwhile the dog is still whining and distressed and I keep hearing this low humming noise) all of a sudden this patch of stars starts moving and then I could see this huge rectangular outline ariund the whole thing. It must have been the lenth of at least 2 football fields and was at least as 3/4 the width of a football field. To tell the truth I was pretty shaken at this point but I couldn't move...... this thing wasn't that high only ,maybe 300 feet. Then it started sorta of floating to the South towards Memphis. It seemed to have come from the North. The humming stopped,a few of the star like lights flashed and it just moved on. I had never seen anything like this in my life.Finally when it was out of sight I went back inside and my daughter who was 12 at the time yelled out Mom, why were you out so long? I just told her at the time I was checking the horses. I can tell you this....I laid awake a long time that night pondering all this and the next morning felt sort of addled but I know what I saw and have never forgot it. The only people I've ever shared this with was my daughter when she was grown, my mom and my husband of 7 years. But when I found someone who'd seen something so similiar and so recent I just had to share this. I hope you put this in the recent postings so that! if anyone else has seen something like this,maybe they'll come forward to. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest! I am 48 years old and not an avid ufo seeker though I do like to stargaze and if a ufo shows up fine but since this happened have had 2 more sightings one 3 years afo of the classic triangle of lights and another in March of a phere shaped objuect seen in broad daylight. My husband was with me and saw the last two himself.

Looked like a star then started moving slowly. After a few minutes it streaked off as if it where the speed of light.

My wife, her brother, and I were standing outside of our home when we saw what looked like a star. It was motionless at first and then it slowly started moving. I told my wife it was just a satellite or aircraft. After I said that the object took off. It streaked across the the sky faster than any man-made aircraft. Just guessing I would say it was going about 10 or 20 thousand miles per hour.

Invisible but never the less still there.

I have wondered if others have 'seen' this. I was living in a very rural area. I steped out on the back deck one summer afternoon for some fresh air. As I was standing there my hair begin to feel as it was standing on end. I started looking around. The sky was clear with only wispy small clouds. As I looked east I noticed two clouds ended in a curved line. I also noticed a distorted look to the sky in that area about 100' in diameter. I call two friends outside. As they came out there was a loud buzz and a blast of hot air. The leaves on the trees about 200' from our position rolled and turn up as if exposed to heat. They never recovered and died. My friends asked what was that to which I had no reply.

S. diplomat, describes an incident in which a family was badly burned by a very bright object seen hovering near their home on the outskirts of Caracas, Venezuela, and the surrounding vegetation turned black approximately 9 days after the sighting. The three of us watched a large object with flashing multicolor lights in neighbors field for 45 min to an hour

While celebrating the birth of a new granddaughter in Dec., my ex-husband(who is a good friend) asked me if I remembered what we saw in Ripley when my daughter was 4? When he mentioned it I instantly recalled the event and how it got pushed back in my mind I'll never know. Anyway,my ex was a young Methodist minister and was assigned 3 small churches in and about Ripley.We call it a circuit. We lived in a small parsonage in the Edith community which was a bit in the country. My Mother had gone with us on the move to help with my daughter who was 4 at the time. We're from Mississippi. My ex.was going to school at Lambuth college in Jackson, Tn had 3 churches and boy were things hectic. Anyway we had an elderly couple who lived next to us that we'd become friendly with. They were in bad health so we took it upon ourselves to sort of check on them. They lived about 350 to 400 feet from us if that and had a huge garden spot to the side of their house and back view of ours. Our bedroom window faced their garden and part of the house. We'd been in bed for awhile and my mom comes knocking on the door and says,"children, gret up,get up, there's something going on at the _____ next door! I wake up and think what in the world now. I was on the right side of the bed with the window next to me and when I looked in that direction I saw lights flashing. My ex was awake at the same time and said,I'll bet its an ambulance. Mama,by this time was in the room and was going on about,"look at that ,its an airplane! I'm trying to get awake and say Mama,how in the world would an airplane get out there?!!! So I peeked through the window,well we all werepeeking and there was this thing flashing all these multicolored lights right in the middle of these folks garden. I told my ex,Man that's ot an ambulance, why would they be in the garden out back, and have you ever seen an ambulance like that. This thing looked like a christmas tree lit up. there were red,blue,green,yello,white and amber lights just flashing all over it. I mean, if anyone had driven by,they couldn't have missed it. It looked like it was a pretty good size,the garden area had a lot of land on the back side. It didn't make any noise and it seemed like it was just a little above the ground. Mama is saying she thinks its a drug drop from a helicopter, I'm half awake and trying to sort this out and get her to calm down and be quiet. My ex is just WOW,look at that. I tell Mama, its not a helicopter,its got the wrong lights,its quiet and why in the world would anyone drop something in the_____garden in podunk Tn. I don't really know what I was thinking,it was just so weird. so we watched it for a long time. It just kept flashing and seemed to be turning, it kinda looked like a lit up turnip. That sounds silly but is easily understood. My daughter doesn't remember too much of this but woke up and thought it was Santa Claus. The lights didn't seem to have any pattern,they were just flashing all over this thing. What my ex and I did notice was that the lights didn't seem to be shing outward in a long direction but were confined pretty close, and cast shadows. By now,we're wondering why the ____ haven't woke up and noticed something strange in their garden.My ex had the bright idea of just going out there and finding out what was going on. I asked him if he was crazy,didn't he realize that we didn't really know what that thing was,my mom told him it was drug dealers and he'd be killed. I mean this was just really,really surreal. Mr. Davenport,at this time I don't think UFO had even crossed our minds. I know Mama didn't. That would be just too far out of her realm of reality and experience. So we watched some more. We remarked that if it was a helicopter we'd hear something,It was so close I could have probably hit it with a rock from our back yard. About that time,Mama pulled the curtain open wider to get a better view and I was trying to get her to quiet down and don't right in the window and the thing beamed a whitish ,blue light right at the window. Well whatever we thought it was, we all knew we'd been spotted. ___and I hit the floor with the baby,and Mama started crying and screaming that we were going to be killed. I remember peeping up at the bottom of the window and seeing this thing out there sorta of shifting and this light going through our room like a searchlight. Then it just shut off, the object rose slowly and just eased on. No big burst of speed, or anything like that. Mama wanted to call the police about drug dealers,my ex started the UFO thing and I remeber telling them,look, we can't call with wild stories about drug dealers cause that implicate the old folks next door, and we really didn't know anything of the sort, I told my ex that, we were new,in a goldfishbowl being in the ministry and young,what would people out there think of their new preacher seeing ufos in the neighbors garden? And God forgive me,I told my little one that it was santa checking the area out and that if she told anyone he wouldn't come back. The next day,I went over to the ____ house and asked them if they heard noises the night before. They told me they went to bed around 7 and didn't wake up until 6. They had a big,old house and probably wouldn't have noticed much anyway as their room was on the opposite side. I eased around and took a look at their garden area and there was no sign of any kind of depression,suggesting a landing,but the old stalks in the garden were whipped around.Looking back now,this was a very extrordinary event,maybe even more so than I know.How this got into the back part of my mind is the real mystery. But I was just 29 years old in a strange place and trying to be the perfect preacher's wife and model mom. I just installed a scanner and tomorrow am going to e-mail a drawing of what we saw. I'm 50 now,my ex is 53 and my mom is 76. I don't know what we saw. Neither does my ex. My mom to this day still believes it was drug-runners as she calls them. Me,my ex,who lives in Memphis and my Mom would have no trouble answereing any questions about this. Don't take my sense of humor relating this as this is some kind of joke, its just that it was just that way. Since then I've seen a "few" strange things and have no reason to mislead anyone. I just think by reporting what we see only helps us get a grasp on this thing. I would like to add that my mom is a very fine lady and pillar of her church. My ex is a man who I don't think would even know how to fabricate something and me.... I just tell it like it is. We are educated,sound minded people. By the way,I did post a sighting for Ripley for 1999. It was 1990,large rectangular craft. My typo. All the Best
