Small sphere type object passed by our camp in broad daylight.

My family and I were camped at a favourite camping spot deep in the Buckland valley over the Christmas break. It was approx. 4pm in the afternoon, we had not long sat down to relax after swimming. I had decided to sit back in my chair for a bit of a rest while the others decided to play a board game under our tarp.

Through the treetops to the south, I saw an object flying at reasonable pace. I thought it was just a largish white bird at first which is why I stayed focused.
It was headed northerly toward our camp as I was waiting to see the flapping wings but I was having difficulty seeing any wings! As it reached our camp (about 5seconds from first sight) and was clear of the tree canopy I could see it in full… it wasn’t a bird, it was a white sphere… no wings! About twice the size of a basketball. It kept a straight line and continued northerly before my view getting obstructed by trees again, it’s pace was easily faster than a bird or drone. It was totally silent.

Total time of my sighting was only about 10 seconds, The object was approx.. Between 50 to 100metres above the ground maintaining steady altitude and direction, It’s size from my perspective was about the size of a basketball, that’s why I would estimate it’s real size to be nearly double if you were up close.
It’s colour seemed whitish but could have been glowing or reflecting given it was daylight and the sun could have been reflecting off it. Hard to explain but somewhere between reflecting and being white.

I didn’t call for my wife and kids to come and look because by the time I realised it wasn’t a bird I had only about 5 seconds of view time left.
