We were looking towards Mt Solitary then there was a bright flash of light we could not explain

We were at Lincolns rock, three of us, joking around about UFO's and then all of a sudden, looking towards Mt Solitary, there was this huge flash of light. We were shocked and spend the next 3 hours looking very carefully and saw multiple other unexplained sightings, what looked like satellite changing direction, light in distance, object going in different direction to all other satellites.
