Travelling between Parkes and Orange, stationary hovering craft approx 300-500 metres from road

Unsure of exact date, could have been late 1992 or very early 1993. My daughter was born late Nov and I recall her being very young. We (myself aged 18 as passenger, my very young daughter and ex partner aged 20 driving) were traveling from Parkes NSW to Orange NSW on the Henry Parkes Way. It was approx 7.30pm as it was dusk. Still plenty of light to see, but the sun was setting. As we were starting to get towards the end of the 'dungeons' (a stretch of very windy, steep area that is dense with trees and pines) I could see a VERY bright light through the trees that appeared to be at our eye level. The area where the craft was, a very large cleared area. As we came out into the clearing I could see the light in the distance and as we continued the road drops down, we passed the Endeavour Road turnoff, the road winds around and I could still see the light, unsure what it was. Past the Endeavour Road turnoff a few kms there is a house (1st house on left after Endeavour Rd turnoff) on the left (North side) of the road approx 300-500 metres from the road we were traveling and the object was next to the house, towards the back of the house (on the left side of house) and hovering the height of approx 2 story building. It was stationary (however we were continually moving during the experience at a speed of 100kms) no sound. The craft was round/egg, with a bubble on top, appeared dark and had very bright flashing lights that were running (like Christmas lights) in a horizontal direction. I'm unsure if the lights were running in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction. I was saying 'oh my god, what is that', 'do you see that'. I was trying to get confirmation from my partner that he could also see it as he was driving and his reaction was bizarre and annoying me. It was like he was totally ignoring it. To this day that baffled me, did he not see it, or did he see it and it was so confusing he was ignoring it . I did look at the time on the clock, I remember thinking I needed to check that in case we had a gap of lost time, however we did not experience a loss in time. At no point did we stop the car, or slow down to observe the craft and maybe that was because I had a very young baby in the car and I had a duty to protect. If I didn't have my daughter I would have stopped to investigate. To answer the question below, I have very limited flight time (pilot) in small and experimental aircraft, only 109 hrs. I did not have flight time at the time of the experience but have been flying in small aircraft (father is a flying instructor of light aircraft) since I was a baby. I am submitting this report 32 years after the sighting.
