Pinkish, transparent, gun-shaped object seen by two adults in Sheffield, UK.

Me and my father were standing on the back garden while he had a cigarette, when suddenly, we saw an anomalous object high in the sky.

The object had the shape of a bulbous pistol. It was flying incredibly slow and was emitting a dull pink glow in the centre and looked transparent in places. It seemed small but was significantly high in the sky.

It was also swinging from side to side, like a pendulum, as it moved. It eventually disappeared over a line of houses.

there where 3 what looked like balls of fire in a perfect triangle formation which we noticed moving along the sky keeping in perfect formation. then they came to a standstill and slowly faded to disapearing gone.i did manage to get my camera phone out and video the objects and you can here that we were amazed at what we were seeing we were at work on our break it was 6:00pm.

a small flat disked shape, orange coloured, with orange rays coming off, moved further in the sky at late evening.

I was staring out of the car window and I saw this very strong coloured orange thing and because it was dark outside at first I thought it was the reflection of a street light. When I looked again it was this small flat disked shape orange light with orange rays coming off it, which were more faded than the ball. I then told my mum and when she looked around to look as we moved further away, it was higher in the sky and bright orange and looked like a star. I saw it flash once and as a plane neared it disappeared.

5 lights, Diamond formation above street. UK 2008

It was mid-summer in 2008, I estimate around the time of June around 10pm at night. Myself and a friend of mine left our home to grab some food from a nearby chinese takeout. As we walked along the road, I glanced up into the sky above the restaurant and noticed 5 solid orange lights, in a diamond/kite formation silently hovering.

I estimate the distance to these crafts from ourselves at approximately 250m away, we paused in our tracks and simply observed what was happening. The two points of light on either side of this formation(the left and the right respectively) began to slowly move towards each other, in a very smooth and seemingly controlled manner, passing each other and becoming stationary in each others original position (essentially these two lights cross paths and swapped sides on this formation), around 60 seconds later they reverted back to their original positions before disappearing, leaving only 3 lights remaining.

These 3 lights began descending to what I would estimate approximately 100m in height above us, and began moving down the street towards us, passing over head. The formation had became somewhat of a .. "convoy" following one after the other in single file. The first of the 3 lights passed by approximately 50m and as it did so, the solid orange light emitting from the first craft, simply turned "off". Now that the glare of the lights were gone, we could see a circular craft of some sort, silhouetted against the night sky, it was rotating anti-clockwise very slowly.

We could tell the craft was rotating due to the fact there appeared to be some kind of components on the exterior hull, slightly darker in colour than the craft itself. The craft was a silver raw metal kind of colour, as it continued by we stared at this craft intently but strangely enough.. without blinking or turning away, the craft vanished. It didn't whiz off at high speed, or make any jerky movements, it was there and then it wasn't..

The second and third craft did exactly as the first craft had done, it moved over our heads around 50m away from us with the lights turning off at the same point as the first craft, the same type of craft was seen silhouetted against the sky, spinning anti-clockwise very slowly, with the same outside markings as the first craft. It too simply vanished while looking right at it, as did the third craft moments later.

There was absolutely no sound, no humming or vibrating which also puzzled us both. My friend observed everything I did, standing no less than 2m away from myself on the corner of the street.

I am fairly certain these were not Chinese lanterns, as their path of flight and movement appeared to be extremely steady and controlled, I do not believe paper chinese lanterns can move in a controlled manner, they're carried by the wind and these objects were clearly not affected by the wind.

In hindsight, I do not know why I did not attempt to take any pictures or evidence of this encounter. The reason it's taken me 5 years to make a report of this sighting, is for two reasons: 1) Every time I bring up this encounter with anybody, friends, family, strangers, I am subject to ridicule and people questioning my sanity.

2) I have struggled trying to locate the proper authorities to report this to whilst living in the UK. I thought about reporting to an American organisation however I was unsure if it would be accepted, given I am not residing in America nor did the sighting take place there.

Two orbs travelling parallel and disappearing

As I tidied the back garden I looked up at the sky at 10.25 to see two circular shaped lights in the sky to the East, travelling towards the left at a parallel and equal distance, I shouted my partner who also saw this. There was no sound and it was really low in the sky, there is no way this could be an aircraft such as a small plane or helicopter.

After a few seconds they disappeared, they didn't shoot off or go into the distance, they just disappeared. Shortly after a jet fighter flew over and headed off North.

We do not have aircraft that fast which can turn so sharply

Taking garbage out to the bins and looked to the sky as it was clear. There was a plane overhead to my left then three other objects which I thought were initialy planes tracked along the same flight path but seemingly higher. after only a few seconds it was obvious that the three new object were far faster than the aircraft and they were not flashing, at this point one of the light changed direction very dramatically 60-70 degrees and disapeared towards the horizon the other two swept around on a much more circular path and followed.

Thirty seconds later the fouth craft came overhead and from behind me on a direct "chasing" path towards the first three, the speed was simmmilar to that you would see on a shooting star excepting it did not burn out.

astrophotography cygnus/sheffield

Hi i am an astronomer/astrophotographer and tonight 11/29/05 i was photographing part of the northern sky Cygnus constellation when i saw three star like objects move north west across the bottom corner of cygnus the objects were in no particular formation and were moving very slowly(slower than a satellite but seemed as high) and then disappeared. I have seen numerous satellites in the past and know that these did not have an equatorial path as they each split up going different ways till they got to the centre of cygnus then vanished.I also know they were not of military origin as i keep upto date with all military exercises and these were too high anyway. Unfortunaetly i thought id have picked them up on my DSLR but theres no trace on the pictures .Can anyone tell me if anyone else seen the same observation

it was bonfire night the sky was light up with burning bonfires me and a friend with his girl friend and mine were sat on a wall at his front gate eating burgers. with it been fonfire night our attension was drew to the sky when i noticed a large black hole in the sky coming over the house i couldnt make out if it was big or if it was at low altitude what ever it was it was noiseless and perfectly round in shape as it was directly above us and it was darker than the sky around it there was no flashing lights that u normaly here people say just a black circle not moving at any sort of speed either no sudden changes in flight path. i am a beliver in ufo's but at the same time tried to come up with an explanation the only answer i could come up with was it could be a cloud of smoke but as we watched it move away out of sight it didnt seem to brake up at all like u would expect from a cloud and still to pass over in a perfect circular shape whats the chances of that?? ill leave u to draw your own conclusions.Apart from this sighting there was another with a bit more to back up what i definatly thought was a ufo i was on the street with some friends just mucking around with a football when i noticed in the sky above a tree there was somthing silver sparkling in the sky it was day time late afternoon but the sun was out and it was a cloudless warm day i watched it for a fews minites just hovering there i decided to go in and tell my dad he then joined me and he too couldnt explain it. all of a sudden in a blink of an eye it shot from its position streaght up about 10 to 20 miles and stopped dead in an instant then we heard jets coming over heading in the ufos direction when we looked round again to see the ufo it had gone just like it had vanished first two jets went over followed by another three and they were really moving dad was stunned and so was i. nothing was heard from it after that but i have no doubt that it was a real ufo and my best ever sighting.why is it so hard for some people t! o belive in life beyond this planet the fact that we are here makes it 100% possible doesnt it.if not it would be a waste of billions upon billions of other planets and stars wouldnt it.

we were out in the woods walking our dog when my brother started talkin about the stars. so we were all looking and we saw this shooting star or so we thought. ((name deleted)) started saying it had stopped so me and my brother elliot looked up and saw the star still and two more appeared then. we got scared and two more came they were slowly getting bigger and we noticed they were coming nearer. we could vagiely tell they were saucer shape.there was a vibrating sound we panicked but we didnt move. the objects stopped and lights could be made out. the flashing lights were weird after a few minuites the objects started humming really loud and just shot off in the same direction.

Help i saw this and now i have told my story i need to know if you have seen this.

I don’t know if im reporting this to the right people but I have spoken to my partner about it and she thinks it would be a good idea.

Ok I was about aged 11 at that time I used to live in a children’s home not being happy me and my friend went for a walk following that night me and my friend were separated and placed at a distance apart, It was about 23:30pm and we were walking past the old water tower not far from Meadowhead School The craft was disk shaped with six lots of lights green on the inside red in the middle and blue on the edge with an orange haze on the bottom the craft it landed about 15 feet away it had a strange hum to it landing not far from the water tower not thinking of what it might have been me and my friend went to have a look in the field only to find nothing there and we got scared and called the home for someone to pick us up only to find that we had lost about 2 hours of our time as the home logged the call at around 01:35am im just wondering if anyone else saw what we did and if anyone can offer an explanation as to what happened to the 2 hours we missed that seemed like a few seconds had past I hope someone can help as its been bugging me for a while now and I have only just had the guts to tell someone about the sighting.

i have top footage of this event , and i dont think anyone can question it

this craft u.f.o etc was seen by my wife approx 19.30 hrs, she then shouted me as i was in the loft upstairs, as my wife watched the craft dissapier behind some hills, becouse we live next to a golfcourse, it vanished for about 35 minutes,which gave me time to set the video camera up. next came a vehicle being driven across the course, only three verry bright lights showing becouse it was dark, these lights were a lot brighter than halogen lights, anyway the vehicle stoped, after a few seconds these lights became one big ship, now the strange thing is that if you watch the video footage and keep your eyes on the lights of the vehicle they dont moove at all,what im trying to say is the vehicle became the ship itself, this happened twice in about three hours. now the video footage i can tell you must be a one off becouse you can see the ship clearly, its like a light bulb shape with lights at the top of the bulb and rotating coloured lights at the base of the bulb, like i say it all on video. if you would like some more information please feel free to do so " cheers"

Four friens see strange triangles in the sky at night

We have all placed our memories of what happend in this section Wittness 1 We were walking around in the park at aroung 12:30 at night, I looked up at the sky and there was this little light in the sky, I pointed it out to the other guys and we watched it for a bit, it was a small triangle shape, like three lights and the two othes came and joind it and made a bigger triangle shape and flew off. Wittness 2 I didn't rely see much cause I was a bit ((drunk)), but I can safely say that Wittness one and 3 were compleatly sober cause they don't drink cause wittness one used to be a acholholic and has stopped drinking and wittness two just dosn't drink!!! What I did see was some little red lights in the sky flying around and doing stuff that a plane can not do, but then I was bladerd! Wittness 3 I was trying to stop wittness 2 from falling over cause he was propper drunk when wittness 1 said that he could see something in the sky. I looked up and saw this littel red triangle zooming around like and space ship in one of thouse kid's games. it just flew around the sky like it was scanning the gorund and stuff the two other ones came and they all went upwards and dissopierd into the clouds. It was probbably just some thing that can be explaind naturaly, I don't think it was aliens caus I dont belive in that stuff. Wittness 4 OK all I saw was some blobs in the sky and everone got all freeked and said they were aliens and they were gonna abduct us and stuff. I don't rely know what it was but I'm not that relighable cause I was drunk. Well that's it!!! We've put that they had light but they didn't rely they just gave off theis red light all over, it was like one big light.

THE UFO

Right, this has taken a long time to publicly come out with it, but I feel that i have to. some time near october, 1999, me and my brother were walking home, at night, when we encounterd it, flying above us, it was huge! all we could do was stare at it, we must of lokked like two gormless idiots, i can remember the details on the underside. it was concave on the bottom, so i have a tendancy to belive it wasn`t the aroura project, and it looked green, like the little green track things on a mother board. it was silent, and mostley black. I would like to know if there are any reports of a ufo sighting in Stocksbridge, S.Yorkshire, around October, 1999.

4 craft in formation with witnesses

i was with friends on an inner city road(the wicker, sheffield), when one alerted the rest of us to look at the sky. From over the Archers we saw 4 objects like stars fly towards us. It was a clear night in Winter, other stars were visible. As the objects drew over head, they paused and then started manouvering like juggling balls in the sky with 2 of the objects periodically uniting so that there were only 3. They arived in a 'V' formation and after a few minute's display they reformed and left in the ditection from where they come.
