It was hovering over a school felid about 800 meters up.

So I was on my way home from work and I saw an object hovering in the sky. I thought is was a cloud to start with but then I saw lights. I wanted to approach it but I didn't know if I was safe. Are we safe?

Triangle impression from 9 large lights at the front

Flying single large craft moving north to south sighted through broken cloud with 9 huge white lights on the underside which were not very bright forming 2 sides of a triangle .Yelled at friend to move to a position from under a portable gazebo and look up and he caught maybe 2 seconds of visual then tried to get his partner to see , but too slow so only 2 witnesses . Apparent speed was greater than a light aircraft (Cessna) and less than a mach with no ( zero ) sound. My personal flight experience to limited to a single tandem skydive . I am a 64 y man with good vision and hearing .

8 quarter sized orange/white balls of light, one at a time appeared in 2 second intervals between them, one at a time.

In the morning sky, still a bit dark out, an orange/white ball of light appeared at 45 degrees up in the sky, just above the roof line of our two story house. I spotted them from where I was sitting, outside in a spa in the backyard of our property. It descended 5 degrees then disappeared, then another ball of light showed at the same spot where the other one first appeared, descended 5 degrees and disappeared. A total of 8 balls of light, each two inches in diameter did this same manuevre.
