I noticed the object thinking it was a helicopter when I noticed it was just one solid light then suddenly moved up and down real fast

I was walking in the house looking for "monsters" with my son with torch like we do most nights however when walking into the dark room something grabbed my attention when I noticed a bright orange like light moving across the sky when I looked out the window, I thought it was a helicopter at first until I realized it moved down then up suddenly real fast I called my wife to make sure what I was seeing was actually there, when I turned back to call her it disappeared, 3 minutes later it reappeared moving quickly back in the opposite direction then back up and disappeared again and we stayed and waited in case it came back but to no avail.

Flying in unison, coming from all directions, fading out of view

First seen 3 following each other within 1km. One coming from a different direction and followed another moving object, watched it turn and speed up.
Saw 2 coming toward each other looked liked they were going to collide but avoided each other. Saw another 4 following each other within 2km of each other.

We seen more but these ones were memorable to witness. All seen with minutes of each other, within the hour that we were watching the sky. They were heading north east. Did not have a phone to record at the time. They were just a solid white light moving in the sky not leaving any trail, several just disappeared as if they went out of our atmosphere

I saw 3 or 4 lights above Mt Karioi, they would rise slowly illuminate and shine more before dissapearing. Sometimes together.

I was actually on a late phone call to my mum when I saw the lights travelling along and upwards from the mountain. They would start travelling sometimes together and sometimes alone, a dim light at first that would then get brighter than any stars surrounding, shining and travelling through the sky and then after a few short seconds they would dissapear. After a minute or so lull. They kept reappearing, this happened for close to an hour. My camera battery was dead and my phone is no good so sadly I couldn’t capture it, but it sure wasn’t moving like a satellite or a plane. I called a friend who was still awake to confirm the abnormal nature of the lights and I felt best to report it. It started above the mountain sometimes the light was alone sometime with 2 or 3 going in a different pattern / direction. It faded to the left of the mountain and then out of view after midnight

Appear to be following satellites then coming down to cloud level and travelling along the horizon. Often moving in curricular patterns

Seen them a few times before with family members previously here so was looking with my partner intentionally. First saw 1 following a satellite. Deep orange but very bright similar to Mars, it got brighter as it came lower. Disappear behind clouds. Reappeared coming through them and traveled south. Not traveling in a straight line. Then 5 more very high altitude moving in formation and then “spaghetti“ patterns before leaving either individual and in a pair in all different direction. Seen this a few times now, sometimes they are lower down and there are many witnesses who have seen them now. Checked flight maps and nothing in the area.

Out on deck putting out cat food feed stray cats looking at stars was cloudy on one side so turned around then looking up towards the house seeing stars then noticed one star moving then 2 more chasing first star darted around very fast getting lower to the point could see shape of the craft silver shape star shape then changed like ball sphere shape then charge shape spiky shape craft then I talked to the crafts saying hello they stopped darting around hovered for a bit then changed back to sphere shape shot upwards into space tried taking photos but was very dark hard to zoom in pixels wish it was day time I've seen orb sphere shape craft before in the past 2019 that flew over my car stopping all power then flying towards Westgate mall shopping area were police and fire department where there talking about power cut ? Said thought was orb shape UFO they said you saw it too I said yes I couldn't use ATM machine as no power so I drove home nearly home saw orb landing at my local park in my street car lost power middle of the road tried push car side road walk to the park tall white looking grey aliens almost glowing skin picking up weeds flowers white flower hold dirt where roots are attached there chatting to each other 2 of them walking back to the craft seemed happy I'm like hi waving they looked ignored me walking back into craft shooting back up into sky into space I guess.

Silent low flying UAP we have 2 videos

We looked up at the moon and saw something moving under the clouds clear as day which we both videoed on our phone's it just cruised over us until our view was blocked by a hill. This is very hard to describe best is to watch video.

It was flying a short distance from my room through the window on the second floor. It had shining green lights, flew overhead, and disappeared when I went out to investigate. The music on my headphones also started to distort. It had the noise of a diesel engine, which sounded like the RNZAF planes flying near my building. There were no Planes of the New Zealand Airforce on the flight radar and no commercial planes that flew over Howick.

Two UAP's accompanying a satellite

I observed what I took for a satellite travelling towards the south east whilst I was facing south. Suddenly a bright orange-yellow light of a similar size appeared close above and behind. This second light suddenly changed direction, going below the satellite. At the same time another orb appeared below the satellite and abruptly moved above it. The three objects flew closely together for maybe 30 seconds then disappeared behind some clouds. I remained outside for several minutes but I saw nothing more of any lights.

There was cloud cover, object was moving at a steady pace and appeared to be quite low in the sky.

Description of the Event:

While boarding our boat at Port Motueka, we observed an object flying overhead. Initially, we speculated it might be a drone or satellite, but its altitude appeared too low to be a satellite. The object moved silently, as we could not hear any noise coming from it.

At first, the object seemed to move slowly, but as we departed from the port and headed into Tasman Bay, it rapidly crossed the bay and disappeared over the horizon.

Cloud cover made it challenging to discern its exact shape, but it emitted a bright light that transitioned from a stark white to a warm white as it moved further away. The brightness remained steady despite its speed and distance.

Additional Notes:
• Weather Conditions: Partial cloud cover.
• Duration of Sighting: Approximately 5-8 minutes.
• Distance Covered by the Object: From our perspective, it seemed to traverse Tasman Bay in a relatively short time.

Lights flying around in figure of 8 formations

I drive the ferry from North Island New Zealand to South Island. Every morning, we sail towards Wellington from the West. On the night shift, around 0400-0500, as we sail past Karori Light 2.2NM away, you can look to the East and see this formation happening. At first, it appears to be Starlink, but the formations are random, not in a straight-line and are much quicker than Starlink. The lights dive behind the mountains and pop back up again. We watch this almost every night shift, with multiple witnesses. It is very hard to video with a mobile phone and when the ship is rocking and rolling. I have ticked that I am a pilot. I am a second officer in charge of a 180m long ship, with 17 years experience at sea.

It looked like a satellite but moved incredibly fast in multiple directions. Left to right and up and downwards.

My friend called me outside to witness what he was seeing in the clear night sky. As it's a rural area there was no lighting interference. At first I assumed this bright star must be a satellite until it suddenly moved, at great speed. I don't believe there is any human made vehicle that could move this quickly. It was also ascending and descending at massive speed. It went left to right, stopping suddenly then dropped. Eventually flying away from us and disappearing as it flew off.

Then started heading across the sky quite quickly I started to film. The object the changed direction and velocity a few times. Which I also thought was weird. I filmed for as long as I could. Then left for work. Didn’t think about it as work was busy then looked at it mid morning and I am very confused about what have I have witnessed.

This thing looked like a spinning gimbal or cube in a black energy circle that pulsed with an aura of energy. Almost like a transfer of energy between the craft and the exterior or the black energy circle

Eastern sky camera recorded Orb during rain event at night.

The eastern sky camera views the area of sky to my east and trees in my back paddock are used as reference points for the FOV.
Camera is a 4K 15fps 2.8mm in night exposure mode with no form of camera illumination.

In the frames preceding the object entering the FOV it illuminates the top of a reference tree which is known to be 70m (229ft) from the camera.
It is raining heavily and the object leaves a light trail and wake through the rain which is consentient with its shape and size.
The object appears to vanish instantly leaving the light trail which dissipates shortly after.

All I saw was a very large aircraft moving thru the sky lower then any craft dare to fly, 6 lights 3 ether side located at the bottom

I was outside having a smoke at about 11-12pm midnight when I started noticing these very bright lights brighter then any light I've ever seen, moving confidently at lower altitude, it was if it wanted me to see it I instantly froze, for the first 2mins I was just trying to believe what I was seeing, at first I thought I was seeing drones as there were 7 lights in total. 6 Lined in the formations of three,angling away from each other ○ ○ untill I realized….

I then attempted to run and tell my brothers who followed me out side by this time it had gone, my brothers said I need to lay off the cigarettes, to which 1 of them said "ah yup it was a meteor shower the other said satellites, in my head all I could think was you both are stupid no satellite orbits earth under under the atmospheres and if it were a meteor shower it would have been reported on television, since this night I have pondered what I saw, I could tell it was a ship because you couldn't see the stars it flew in front of. It also had Ai chip like patterns that would light up like sparks from grinded metal moving around it like snakes on the ground, maybe I do smoke too much I don't know but this is what I saw clear as day.

Witnessed a strange white light flying over Lower Hutt. Possible Chinese Rocket.

Was standing outside at 10pm on the 12/12/22 and saw a strange white light approaching from the west in what looked like a cloud.
There were no clouds that night so I watched it for about 15 min and could not identify it as anything usual. It flew off towards the South East and eventually faded out.

I took Photos of it and later read reports from around New Zealand on the weatherwatch meteor reports website that were the same as what I saw.
Therefore it wasn't local to just Wellington and could be seen around the country. This suggests it could be high in the atmosphere. There was some suggestion there that it could have been a Chinese rocket launch that apparently occurred at 9.30pm.

It could possibly be that, but I haven't seen it confirmed.
Its very unusual to see any sort of rocket like that in New Zealand.

In the morning sky, still a bit dark out, an orange/white ball of light appeared at 45 degrees up in the sky, just above the roof line of our two story house. I spotted them from where I was sitting, outside in a spa in the backyard of our property. It descended 5 degrees then disappeared, then another ball of light showed at the same spot where the other one first appeared, descended 5 degrees and disappeared. A total of 8 balls of light, each two inches in diameter did this same manuevre.

Saw a long string of lights way above the clouds for about 30 seconds -lights in the string a mixture of red and yellow ball lights set along the string with dark gaps between the lights, travelling slowly in a straight line that the disappeared -there was no noise and 4 times the length of an aircraft- my witness was my mate I was talking to on the phone who I described what I was seeing to -there was no alcohol or drugs involve as I was boringly sober -this is the 4th UFO sighting I've had in 40 odd years, although one was explained as the shuttle going up, seen as a shaky triangular flamming light thousands of miles away above the horizon, seen off the top of The Remarkable Mountain Range after dusk in August 2003 I think. The first one I saw witnessed by 4 of us sitting at Huia Hall Reserve on sea wall 30 December 1978 was a white light ball with 25 meter yellow on blue streamer that appeared over Awhitu Penninsula head and dropped down to fly across the Manukau Harbour before lifting again over Spraggs Point at which time it disappeared with a pop and all the lights in Huia went out [also witnessed athe the local Waitakere Ranger sitting on his front portch on the hill behind us]. The second was at Takanini in summer 1991 I think, seen by 15 of us in clear skies, tall joined pods that were translucent in colour and wriggled through the sky like a snake -we couldn't explain it -there was no sound

Bright white light with smaller green lights hovering and moving around for four hours at northland beach

The following sighting is a true account of a sighting and is recorded as follows.

We were staying at a holiday destination in Tapeka Point, Russell, New Zealand when we noticed two green lights next to each other around 200 meters from our house up at the end of the beach. The lights were above the water’s edge and around 50 meters above the water. They were both stationery for 30 minutes, then started moving at 90-degree angles down to the water and back up to their original positions. Additional lights seemed to come from them, flying around in erratic movements. The green lights shot beams of light down to the water and there were other lights moving upwards from the water through the beams.

Another much larger very bright white pulsating light appeared above the green lights. This light appeared to grow and morph in shape and changed colour between white, orange, red. This intense bright light made its way along the beach front like it was searching for something, all the while pulsating and lighting up the trees, beach and sky.

At one point the white light object landed on the beach with pulsating white and orange lights. We also saw figures at three different occasions walking around the beach and nearby park. These figures were seen when the bright light was lighting up the beach and the next-door property which is a park. It seemed they were warning us off with bright flashing lights beaming into or near our section while we were watching them.

We called the police and we were on the phone to them for a considerable time throughout. This was a hard call to make as it sounds crazy, however we had to make it as we were all very scared and had young children in the house and did not know what to do. The police did not come out in the end as it was a two-hour drive and we agreed to call them if things escalated.

This whole episode lasted for four hours. There were three of us watching this unfold, from the house and front deck and trying not to be seen. It was very scary as we were so close to this event.

Around four in the morning, the green lights disappeared, and the pulsating white light stayed a short while after then slowly moved away towards the deeper waters and disappeared into the water.

A long line of hundreds of lights moving North from low in the Western sky, quickly at 22.35 on 02/05/21 in Waiuku, Auckland, NZ.

A very long straight line of lights that appeared to look the same height and size of the stars seen in the night sky were travelling from the West horizon straight up, reaching a length that took up a quarter of the skies length, and vanishing at the same point one after the other. It appeared to be hundreds if lights, all moving at the same speed quite quickly. When I saw the line of moving lights I called my partner outside to witness them as well. He got to see them for about 30 seconds while I ran to get my phone to film them, but they had all gone by the time I returned outside.

I am a 50 year old mum of 3 boys, and my partner is a 46 year old engineer.

2019 late october around 1. 30 am i was cleaning our farm shed out as i couldnt sleep because i was taking care of a sick brother getting worse from a brain tumor so i decided to strip our shed out through the night while he finally went to sleep, while i was taking a leak near our cars in the driveway out of know where in the area i was pissing were these beams of lights around me, i looked down and around me first and said where the fk did they come from then looked up and about 30 to 40 feet above me shining over me, and moving real slow ,about slow walking speed ,this what ever it was floating over me.I thought might be a helicopter but it was to close and didnt even make a sound and was way to big to be a drone ,floated over and past me and stopped about 20 feet away as if it looked like it was watching me , it was about the size of our 25000 litre water tank and while it was resting there i saw another one either come out of it or it was behind it and that one shot off heading towards our township in a split second and disappeared the main one stayed for about another minute and in one or two seconds shot up towards the night sky and vanished ,I wasnt scared of it while i was watching it , I was so amazed I saw a ufo or what ever it was ,its something you dont forget .It wasnt an orb because it was to big ,but I did want to know what was flying this thing , it was real fast and noiseless ,its no wonder any military cant catch these things ,the way they took off ,the governments might get lucky now elon musks has and is still putting sateites all over our planet or if another one crashes,but i am so wrapped I saw these ones , the next day i checked the roof of my car for burns as i didnt feel any burn marks on myself .so still here and still alive ,but was brassed off ,20 metres away my bloody mobile was in the kitchen, so there is something out there and i want to know what , newzealand see"s a few objects up there ,wrapped i found this site

I have only just started to reach out about a sighting my son a friend and myself witnessed one day about 3 yrs ago, this cluster of orbs manouvering around was visible until they faded out of sight. First of all, when I first sighted them they were visible quite clearly, then,⁷ as if they knew I was looking started to move higher and higher, I was straining to see them. There's more to the story but I'd prefer to talk to someone face to face.

I'm hoping I can get lead to somebody that can tell me more about this information.

Why I've left it this long is because of ridical.

I saw around 100 small UFO circles in the sky. I didn't know what they where, but they must of been some sort of alien type spacecraft. They all had flashing lights and there was a bigger circle than the rest and its lights where dark red. I legit saw a small tree/plant float up into the bigger UFO shape and then the smaller UFO's just disappeared and the biggest one zipped off and all the street lights flickered for a minute. When it left there was a sort of static noise for an hour or so..

around 01h00-02h00, driving through mountain range meaning no street lights, there was an orange light following our car. I have previously seen shooting stars and high atmospheric lights that dart across the sky but this is the first time I noticed 1 following us. I noticed it when driving and when we swapped drivers, I watched it more closely. It maintained relative speed to the car and was lower than typical star. I saw it move from right to left side of the car (I was sitting in the back at the time and literally watched it move across the sky behind the vehicle on a straight stretch of road).

It disappeared before we hit the town/streetlight section...

My sighting was early evening, just before or just on twilight. I was sitting outside on the doorstep facing northeast. The view of everything in front of me was clear, no obstructions of any kind. I was looking up just a little higher than straight ahead. The craft passed over head from behind the house and into my field of view. It was in my estimation only about 1500 feet up and moving very fast. There was no sound at all and obviously no signs of propulsion like a jet aircraft would have. The craft was gone from sight within about 1.5 seconds and I just sat there where I was sitting wondering how could that be. The next bit is the Kicker. Roughly one and a half to two months later it happened again. Similar time of day, same speed, no sound, same type of craft and bang on the same trajectory, except this craft had a light green aura that was clear to see. In some respects I think I'm the luckiest man on the planet to catch both instances of this happening. There was nothing media related about it at all. There is no doute that both crafts were not from around here because we don't possess anti gravity technology, the speed, the no sound, well I'll leave it with you. You's can figure it out because I don't know and I haven't been going round telling everyone, Just in case I got labeled as a nutjob.

2 Big Sphere shaped objects flying across the sky too close to be planes.

i was on my way home from school and I got of the bus and it was about an hour walk to my home. Then, I turned my head for a second, because I saw a bright flash of light, then saw these two objects just fall out of the sky.

I thought I was going crazy, so I pulled my phone out and recorded as much as I could of the UFO's, or what ever they where.

But before I could get my phone out, I watched them chase each other across the sky. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen.

But the thing that gets me most, they flying too close together, and too low to the ground, to be planes, and when they left they were gone in a blink of the eye.

Personally, I have never seen anything move so quick in my whole life.

7 Redish Yellow spheres Spotted in New Zealand.

Last night on 08/06/17, at around 8:15pm, I saw 4 lights hovering in the sky and I went to get my partner to see them with me, less than a minute later another one flew in, then another one, then a final 7th.

The four that were flying were hovering there, and the others were moving in from the side trying to catch up.

I Stopped and asked my partner and I myself listened as one was coming in and seemed to be the closest. We listened intently as I realized they could be helicopters but we could not hear anything.

Then when the lights were all together which moved and looked like helicopters flying together, one started blinking then faded out. Then another one started blinking and faded out one by one until they all blinked and faded out.

Some only blinked for a little while, while other blinked for longer until they all faded out.

It was one of the more strange incidents in my life.

There was also a plane high up in the sky (Much higher than these Flying objects as the blinking red light that you see on A plane was much smaller and it flew like a plane.) The color of these lights was: I saw yellow, my partner saw red.

Bright light (definitely NOT the ISS) observed shortly before a flyover by the ISS

I went outside to observe a flyover of the ISS which was scheduled to pass almost directly overhead at 9:20pm local time from NW to SE. At approximately 9:15pm I observed a light similar in brightness to the ISS but north of my location. After observing the light for a few seconds I realised it could not be the ISS: it was flying in the wrong direction (nearly west to east) and was too far north. The light also appeared to change direction a couple of times but this may have just been an illusion created by the atmosphere.

After checking the Heavens Above website, I was able to confirm the ISS was not yet visible from my location so I returned to watching the object. Soon after, I went back outside the light abruptly vanished.

A few minutes later I observed another bright light NW of my location and, after watching for a short time (and checking the Heavens Above website again) I was able to confirm this second object was the ISS. I watched the ISS for several minutes until it dropped below the horizon.

The unexplained light I observed was first seen roughly north of my location and was in sight for about a minute. I think it was at a very high altitide although I have no way of knowing for certain. It disappeared after travelling across about 20 degrees of the sky reaching a position roughly NE. Angle above the horizon started at about 75 degrees and finished about 60-65 degrees above the horizon.

Weather at the time was moderate wind (about 25km/h) from SE. Sky was mostly clear - no clouds around where the light was observed. Many stars visible but no moon.

At no point was any sound heard nor were any changes of colour or brightness noted before its disappaerence. It was a steady, bright white light.

Personal info. I am a qualified educator (College/University graduate) in my early 50's. I have worked in education and security and I am a trained observer. I am a keen amateur astronomer and am fully familiar with the night sky. I know what stars, planets, the ISS and satellites look like and have observed many meteors. The object I saw resembled the ISS for brightness but was definitely not the ISS.

White light un- naturally shifting across sky in Takaka NZ

Trying to find an active information call in center, I have no solid evidence of this claim but I wanted to let someone know what we had seen.

Me and two friends were watching a very clear sky at around 4.30am on Friday morning in Takaka NZ, Amongst a torrent of shooting stars we all witnessing a small star shaped light moving across the sky in an erratic and unsettling nature, I pointed at it quickly to my two friends who also claimed it to be un-identifiable to them.

It moved like this from north to east across the sky for about 30 seconds with erratic movements speeding up and down, fluctuating in speed, direction and even seemed to blink from spot to another randomly.

Other dim star like figures seemed to move around and dart from vision and back around the same area of the sky.

The main object we saw was nothing like I have ever seen before in the sky, Astronomy and cosmology are two of my biggest passions and with music, Iooking up and having good judgment of what i am seeing is important.

The difference between this and other objects such as satellites or planes is that the object constantly staggered its flight path like no other earth bound space craft could.

Delta shaped ufo caught on video in South Auckland Sky!!!

Last night, on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at around 10pm I was moving some bags from inside my car into the house at Weymouth. I looked up and noticed a delta shaped ufo moving in the night skies of South Auckland. It moved from a South to South-Westerly direction. I had my point and shoot camera in my pocket so I started recording. I yelled at my wife to get the cel phone.

It faded out of sight after about 30 or so seconds later. I then realized there were other amber (not all) lights following it of at least a dozen. It was then that my wife also saw some of them. Some of the neighbours also saw the lights. I didn’t know if the lights were going to show up on the dark sky digitally. I also managed to get my high-end infrared video camera and film the last of the lights going by. The police helicopter showed up as the last of them moved across the sky. Perhaps they were monitoring them. These were very close to the restricted airspace of Auckland International Airport. I could see no navigational lights. There was little wind at the time.

According to reports average wind speed was 6 knots coming from a West South-West direction. Were they Chinese lanterns? They moved pretty quick to be lanterns in a slight breeze (I estimated according to Google Earth to be moving about 30 km/h). I applied some video filters in part of the video to bring out the objects.

no hablo ingles muy bien pero queria compartir esto con ustedes lo que acabo de presenciar, soy astrofotografo amateur y estaba en el patio de mi casa tomando unas fotos de el milky way y cuando estaba en busca de un buen angulo para mi foto mire algo parecido a un avion muy serca aproximandose a una velocidad muy rapida y sin ningun sonido lo cual quede observando por unos segundos mientras pensaba que si era un avion pero obviamente era tan serca que si fuese un avion se habria escuchado el sonido de sus motores y tambien la luz no era tan fuerte realizo dos movimientos que eran tan rapido por lo cual termine mi duda de ser avion no podria moverse a esa velocidad y maniobrar de esa forma y a muy poca altura. despues de unos segundos observandole quise poder cambiar el lente de mi camara y poner uno de zoom ya que estaba usando un wide angle lens dude mucho poder grabarlo pero fue tan rapido que cuando quise poner mi otro lente ya habia desaparecido. le dij! e a mi esposa pero no me cree y no es la primera vez viendo algo asi pero esta vez decidi reportarlo. Very bright light hovering over Cook Strait, New Zealand, shooting away at speed.

On the 26th of May, 2016, I was driving from the town of Kaikoura to Blenheim on the north-east coast of New Zealand’s South Island. Heading north on Hwy 1, approaching Lake Grassmere at about 19:45, I noticed a very bright light in the night sky over the range of hills just north of the lake. The light seemed to be farther out behind the hills, likely over the Cook Strait. Being somewhat colour blind, I am not sure of the colour of the light, could have been red or orange.

I pulled over on the highway (41°44'05.0"S 174°07'43.2"E) to get a better look. It was suspicious as it was much brighter than any stars in the sky or aircraft for that matter. At first, I wondered if it was the aircraft landing light on a plane taking off from Wellington airport, but it did not move up or down, just stationary.

The light sat stationary over the hills for about 5-minutes until precisely 19:49. It then dimmed to about 25% of its original luminescence, then moved off to the North at a rate of speed I would suggest being 2-3-times faster than normal air traffic in the area.

Wellington airport is quite busy at this time, however the airport runway runs North-South, and was northeast to my position with aircraft taking off or landing in North or south direction. The light was to my north-northeast, several degrees north of the light pollution given off by the city. Checking some flight apps, I was not able to find a plane that would have been in that position at the time of sighting.

It is worth mentioning that 20-min before the sighting, a 4.3 magnitude earthquake was registered in the Cook Strait, in the general area where I had witnessed the light.

A clear morning sky, 30 minutes before sunrise. A cluster of flashing lights red, green, white randomly flashing with white sometimes brighter. The light appeared to be stationary, approximately halfway between the ground and apex in south east sky. I first noticed them at approximately 5:45 am till sunrise around 45 minutes later. Once the sun was nearly up, the lights and stars were no longer visible.

Hovering and flying in angular positions and darting with lights and very birght lights over Waiheke Island, Auckland, New Zealand

For 3 days now, there has been a very bright object hovering around 6.30am in Torbay, Auckland, New Zealand. My step day said the light woke him up so he got out of bed and went and looked at it over the ocean. He said it was hovering and had lights around it like in the movies. He watched it for 5 mins then went away and 10 mins late came back and it was still there.

The next morning it was there again and this time he got his binoculars out and could see lights around the base of it. He even scribbled down a picture of it.

This morning it was there again and moving all over the place. Tomorrow we are going to try and video it.

We were at the lookout behind Whirinaki Beach at around midnight. We noticed a strange droning sound, looking out towards Whirinaki and the sea. We also noticed strange flickering lights hovering over the coast (about 300-400m away).

As we observed it, we noticed it was a disc-shaped object, approximately the size of the beachfront houses. It was floating above, 10m (33ft) across.

We noticed the object had flickering colours of light traveling along the body.

After about a minute of watching the object float slowly southwards along Whirinaki Beach, with an altitude of around 40-50m asl, the object slowed and turned. We heard a strange droning sound again, which sounded like a decelerating ghost from Halo.

The object then put out a bright yellow light from the front, which grew in intensity from a small star like spec to a hand held spotlight pointed towards us.

At this point we started leaving the lookout and the object disappeared behind the hill.

3 weird flying things fly over the sea in front of us.

I am a 45 year old father of two daughters 10 and 13.

Yesterday 13 October at around 7:45pm we were walking on Tahuna Beach in Nelson New Zealand. I had taken them down to the beach for a walk after tea and to eat Cookie Dough Bites for dessert.

The sun had just about gone down and there was heavy low cloud cover on the horizon.

All 3 of us saw this object follow the skyline. There was no noise. It had a black part at the front. It was not luminated. Trailing behind the black part was what looked liked flowing tentacles. These tentacles moved into various shapes behind and sometimes around the front part. The tentacles did not move randomly but seemed to moved in a very deliberate manner, at one time forming an almost perfect square behind the solid black part.

It moved quickly across the sky before fading from sight.

I recorded it on my iphone. It can be see a lot more clearly when I play it on my iphone and zoom into the picture. I've taken some screen shots of the video zoomed in. I recorded for a minute but its hard to see after about 24 seconds.

Two more followed shorty after. They looked exactly the same and were spaced about 1-2 minutes apart.

Unusual objects in photograph

On Saturday the 25th of April 2015 I was at work. I am a keen amature photographer and seeing a beautiful sunset starting to form I grabbed my camera, went out the front of the store I work in and took around 30 photos. I didn't even look at them until the next morning but when I did noticed 1 only frame with three (3) black dots on it. Zooming in I was shocked to see they were not plains, birds, bugs or anything I have ever seen before.

I'm sure you understand that I do not want to look like a crack pot, but am very curious as to what these may be. below is all the information about my camera and the photo. I have attached two photos taken 13 seconds apart to show one with the objects and one without. The first photo does not have the objects in it.

To get an idea of scale, the building roof in the bottom of the photo was around 400 mtrs away and on top of a rise around 40 mtrs up. This photo would be pointing west out to sea.

Me and my son where driving through a little town called waitara in Taranaki in New Zealand, It was a dark cloudy night, No stars in sight, an there was no body around, not even a car.

We where driving up the street an I went to turn left at the Give way ,and I looked up and seen this flying object, I couldn't believe what I was witnessing, I had to look away a few times and looked back up again, and it was still there, moving gliding slowly over the top of houses it was amazing it was perfectly a big round circle, nothing Ive ever seen before in my life, under the graft the lights where bright white overall shapes, it was very close and down low, there was No sound at all coming from this object.

My son was screaming with fear in the car, I was trying to get my phone to take a picture as I was driving, I followed behind it and came to a stop on the road, and got out to take the picture as I was running across the road, meanwhile my son was so frighten, I just went on adrenaline and looked up to take the picture, It was gone it just disappeared.

We both were in shock for weeks I was afraid to drive at night, my son is now afraid of the dark, he has to sleep with the lights on, I never forget want I saw, we are not alone.

Westerly view from Titahi Bay, looking towards the moon at approx 9pm.

One light (looked like a star) - sped across the horizon, i assumed it was a shooting star which made be stand up to get a closer look as the roof edging was blocking my view.

As soon as I lost sight of the first moving light it was followed by another 5 to 7 lights, which travelled in the same direction as the first. They were all in a formation (distancing between them didn't change for the few seconds I witnessed them in the sky).

23.4.14 9:26pm The whitish images are of very bright satellite which caught my eye from inside the house, larger than Venus. Travelled 140 degrees across sky directly above Darfield, then instantly disappearing. Moving from southwest to northeast at satilite speed. 23.4.14 9:38pmThe 2 red dots are seen from Darfield looking towards the dairy factory when photo taken. Both appeared slightly distorted circles, very large and distant, vibrant reddish orange.

Seen for over a Minuit with other witness. The pair were travelling south approx 70 degrees of observation, dancing around each other gently as they moved over the plains. Reddish white light that was the moon reflecting off of a UFO that I seen tonight. 18/03/14

I looked up at the back door to see what I thought was a star with a slightly reddish haze directly above and then it moved north and then northeast and then it vanished and as I know that this was no satellite this would seem to me to be an observation of us as I was doing the same of them and as I have one eye that is partly blind and one that is 150% and above average I do know that I have seen a new sighting.

Orange Orb like Objects cruise past us like a small aircraft and then just Disappear our Camera would not record

It all started when I went to the rear of my daughters house, waiting for her to get my keys for the car, I looked up and saw a strange ORANGE light.........

Now I am 1 of these people who look up to the heavens often ans have seen many things that I thought could be UFO's but after watching for a while have just been satellite's or a plane.

This object had no lights that airplanes have to have and and was way to close to be a satellite, as I looked behind it there was another 1 following it but a fair distance behind, they were moving the speed of a small aircraft, as we watched the 1 behind did an 30 degree turn and just DISAPPEARED, the bigger 1 that was in front (the 1st 1 I noticed) got smaller and smaller and then GONE.

Me and my daughter where like OMG what the hell were those? Then we looked up and there came a 3rd orange ball coming towards us, I ran inside and got my son n law and then the kids followed and we all watched this 3rd and final ORANGE ORB LIKE THING glide past us and then burnt itself out right in front of our eyes! Now while these Orange Orb like UFO's were making there way pat us there was this BRILLIANT white light, like as Bright as The Northern Star,,, that is what we thought it was? But it was in the wrong place? We took a photo of this and when we zoomed in on it it had a strange like beam or a straight edge going through the middle of it and then it was there and then it was just GONE,...Did not move did not burn out JUST VANISHED in front of our eyes........

We are FREAKING out now and the kids are screaming?

strange fast light patterns

Two big circles folowing eachother in circles On tailing the other Occasianly they come together and fly in 3/4 of a circle then they seperate and follow again Sometimes one gets a little ahead so other follows fast to catch up Now I can see a smaller third one following one now and again And off in the distance I can c one flashing or two then the lights go towards the other lights and disappear for seconds then the come bak around They are changing area mass sometimes then going back to the distance There are now two more far away in the distance now but arent circeling eachother they are circeling in paralel to eachother I thought it may be the clouds and spot lights but there are no beams pointing towards the lights Now I look 20 minutes later and they look more like 3 lights put closely together still doing the same thing but very far away

8 bright intense round lights, appearing in twos, following the exact same path at slightly different times with no noise.

On the 22nd September 2012 at 2105, my husband and I were outside on the back porch having a smoke. Over to our right are the hills of Taradale. My husband was looking that way when he said, "What is that orange light?" I looked over and saw this incredible intense bright orange light moving fairly slowly towards us.

I went inside and asked our boarder to come outside and have a look. We both returned outside in time to see this orange light suddenly veer very sharply to the left and fly very quickly upwards where it just disappeared.

As soon as that light had climbed upwards, two further bright orange lights followed the exact same path as the single light. Then as before, as soon as these lights climbed, two more followed the same path. As before, they climbed and two more followed the same path. Finally, as these ones climbed, one more single bright orange light followed the same path before climbing and moving very fast away.

These lights were consistent; they did not flicker at all. They were fairly close yet there was no noise at all. The night was beautiful, very clear with no cloud. The airport is not in the direction of the lights and as we live on the flight path, we know where the planes come in. They come in directly over us or from the west to the east and at a low altitude.

These lights were fairly low when the first came into sight but they were traveling from north to south before heading west. I can hear planes very clearing when they come in.

They were not flares, flares act in a totally different way, plus ((name deleted--husband)) knows what flares look like. Also, the sea is to the east of us.

They were not Chinese lanterns. If they were, the lights would have been flickering even slightly. Also, they all would have turned to the west at the same time if they wind had blown them. These lights followed each other exactly.

They were not weather balloons as we do not have them here in Napier.

I got my camera and put it on video and aimed it at the lights. I looked at the screen but couldn’t see anything on it so I stopped filming. It wasn’t until two weeks or so later when I downloaded photos onto the computer, I saw I had actually got one of the lights on video. Unfortunately, as I thought I wasn’t getting anything, there is not much film of it. Still, it does show one orange light which looks nothing like a plane.

They were sort of round and very large. The way, in which they veered sharply, it was impossible for one of our aircraft to have made that turn, only a fighter plane could have turned that way. Again, if they were fighter planes, the noise would have been heard but it was silent.

My husband called the police and was told other people had also reported the lights. A few days later, the police called again and told us, the lights were not flares or lanterns and they had no idea what they were.

My husband is 45 and a digger and bobcat driver, very down to earth type of man.

I am 47 and don’t work due to having Fibromyalgia.

Our boarder has since moved out. At the time, he was a security guard.

x2 yellowish/white spheres seen in clear night sky by female.

I am a mum of 3 children under 4, in my mid 20’s. While heading outside for a smoke at my backdoor, i see what appears to be a fireball soaring overhead lower than an aeroplane, slightly faster, no sound. In a straight path for 1-2mins than upwards and they just disappeared.

The centre of this "fireball"was a white/yellow orb with what looked like fire or an orange halo glowing around it. As i studied the second "fireball" the orange glow seemed to be moving from side to side rapidly. The fireball‘s were about 3-4mins apart. Unsure if there were anymore as i went back inside.

ok so we were going duck shoot and on the way back at about 6pm i looked up at the sky ( i was on the back of the truck) i noticed a zooming red light. Then when we got up the driveway something bright came down to the man it looked like it was going to hit it then it quickly just dodged it. So it definatly had to be by the moon because it dodged it and it wouldent of dodged it if it wasnt by the moon anyway it was very bright it was a yellow goldish color. before it passed the moon we thought it was going to hit it.

After it dodged the moon the object then dropped lots of altitude then changed color to a brown then faded out

A saucer shaped object hovering in the distance got my attention, I captured the following image of it over West Auckland New Zealand.

Sighting details: Date of sighting: Wednesday 14th March 2012 Time of sighting: 3.25pm Duration of sighting: Initially a second or two, ( I quickly grabbed my camera and captured a shot on my Sony Cybershot). After taking this shot I saw the object flash off – it then disappeared from view) Total duration perhaps 10-15 seconds.

Location: Elevation Café’s Deck on Scenic Drive, Waitakere City, Auckland New Zealand.

I was meeting a land agent to view a few local sections and we had arranged to meet at Elevation Café’ on Scenic Drive in Auckland’s Waitakere City at 3.30pm. I arrived around 3.15pm and decided to have a coffee out on the deck which offered one of Auckland’s best views from high up on the Western ranges (Waitakere Ranges) looking back over West Auckland in an Easterly direction to Auckland city.

The day was bright and sunny though I’d noticed that today Auckland (unusually) had a haze over it. I had just taken a couple of pictures of the surrounds and was enjoying my coffee when I felt compelled to look skywards, I noticed an airborne object which was a darkish saucer shape and it was hovering a couple of Km’s off into the distance, (The distance is relatively hard to judge) though given that it was appearing past the line formed by the ranges means the object was quite large and must have also been quite a considerable distance away from my vantage point.

To my naked eye the object was relatively small and had a darker bottom section and shinier (?Metallic) top portion. I’d characterise the object as being a “large bug size” from where I was standing and it appeared in the sky at about the height of a low flying aeroplane.

There it sat wobbling and occasionally glinting light (which I assumed was a reflection from the sun) this was only for a very short while in the sky over the Henderson Valley. (I’m not certain about the exact point over which it was hovering) I couldn’t identify what the object was though knew it was something of interest that I hadn’t seen before so quickly grabbed my camera and took a shot. I lowered my camera and managed to see the object for a brief moment, it appeared to have vapours beneath it.

It then ”flashed” and disappeared off to the left vertically on an angle perhaps 65-70 Degrees. After this it was completely gone from sight.

There were no other objects in the sky at the same time as this sighting.

Looking at the picture through my camera’s small rear screen the object didn’t look all that impressive so I waited till I got home and connected my camera to my HDTV.

Two other patrons (a couple) were dining though they didn’t see the object and it being a matter of only a couple of seconds before it left after taking the photo I didn’t have time to alert them before it disappeared. It all happening so quickly and me not being certain of what had just happened I thought it wise not to appear like someone delusional in front of two complete strangers.

I have spent days trying to debunk this sighting myself, …. Perhaps it’s a blimp… perhaps a large cicada with wings on the downbeat…though it is too far off to be a cicada or any type of bird. The object was metallic and saucer shaped, it also disappeared in a flash!! As a trained scientist I always use a methodical and analytical approach to problem solving, this time I have come up with no good answer as to what it is I witnessed over West Auckland- perhaps then this constitutes a UFO?

Amoeba-like object excretes red rod, attracts tiny lights, then vanishes.

I was walking home from a friends house. Neither of us consumed alcohol or any other perception-changing substance in the evening. As I crossed the field near my house I lit a cigarette, and some distance away saw about four other people in the school below who were drinking. I stayed on the field for a while, then noticed above me a glowing object with an unclear shape. The light of the cigarette was distracting so I put it out. The glowing thing was a dull green and just hung in the air, far above me. It was not unmoving however, as it seemed to be slightly blurry, making its exact form difficult to make out. But it was not travelling in any direction. After about a minute a red line came from the object. It was also glowing and was much brighter than the main body of the thing. At this point the people below at the school left. I believe they saw the object though can't be certain. The glowing red line cast a light on the green object and I could now see ! that it was quite cloud like and slightly transperant. It had no exact shape and appeared more like a floating blob. I was reminded of an amoeba. At this point I noticed, though with much difficulty, many tiny lights cluster around the red line, which were very small and hard to see. I watched this for a few more minutes. The red line did not go back into the main body as the object went away. It is hard to say how exactly it left as it left behind a "stain" like after image in my vision from staring at its light so long. This made it hard to tell where it had gone and how it had departed. For a short while after it had gone I noticed a quiet ringing in my ears, but am unsure whether the thing was the cause. I went home and went to bed, thoroughly mystified.

Four reddish coloured lights appeared in the night sky in a triangular formation, one light below the lower apex, began separating...

Sighting: Sunday 26 December 21:55hrs New Zealand Standard Time.

Location: Meeanee/Taradale, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand While driving north on the expressway between Meeanee and Taradale (North Island, New Zealand) I noticed an arrangement of lights in the dark off to my right above the horizon. I thought it was an arrangement of lights on a power pylon in a nearby field as they were red/orange in colour and unlike the bright white of nearby background stars. There were 4 lights making a triangle configuration with the fourth light below the lower corner of the triangle. My partner who was also in the car confirmed the sighting. As we moved further down the road the lights seemed to separate and it became clear they were not local but much higher in the sky and further away. We stopped the car so we could assess their movement. At this time we saw what looked like a conventional aircraft (pass between us and the lights). Soon the lights began separating further, two moving off to the right, one remaining more static to the left and the fourth disappearing from sight. All of the lights were of a reddish-orange hue and appeared to pulsate slightly in intensity. Soon all the lights had disappeared from sight.

Light to north-northwest heading east over Paihia, Bay of Islands, New Zealand. Appeared to be below cloud level. Suddenly moved away on steep trajectory (about 60 degrees off horizon) and disappeared very fast, within 5 seconds.

two UFOs seen in south new brighton new zealand

My friends and I were walking back from watching the Summer Solstice eclipse at the beach and we were at our front gate I noticed it first and said look a UFO! It was a red circle with three flashing silver/white dots going around it. It slowly started to circle down. We watched for a while then were forced to leave.

We saw the second one at approximately 22:35 it was a oddly shaped outline,like nothing I have ever seen before,the out line looked like it was made up of small stars. Flashing silver/white lights a red light was in the top region and it looked kind of like a plane flying backwards made of small stars and lights.

It was about 11pm in the evening and myself and two other people witnesses a UFO in the sky . We noticed a strange light in the sky that was beaming very brightly onto the water and you could see the water very visibly by the light and then the light would go out and dissapear for a few seconds and reappear in another location close to it previous positon this happened about 4 times and stopped and happened again in 30minutes and the same thing happened again like before but not as long. Below in the water where it was happening were two squid boats fishing with bright lights and the lights in the sky were hovering above them , ive never seen anything like this before and it was not an airplane as there was no noise or other lights flashing like they do on airplanes, that weekend I heard of other weird lights in the same location at Curio Bay which is not far from this location. We tryed to get a video on our camera and mobile phones but they wouldnt work! while this occurred. I endevor to go out there and begin a study to see how frequent this is happening .

two star light objects moving very fast, in abnormal directions, moves in vectors

Like a star, changing colours from blue, white orange and red, moving circles, up and down, left and right, in a manner no known aircraft or flying machine could do. Seen approx. 30,000 feet above east coast. Would decsend half this distance in less then 2 secounds, then one the same south about fifty miles both on east coast of New Zealand, approx slightly south of Whangarie, the other coast of Warworth. This is seen regular and lots of people have seen it, however no one wants to report it. I am an ex pilot with many hours and assure you this is not a normal thing...a stealth could not move at that velocity or do such manourvers

Light Seen in Sky in Remote Part of New Zealand.

I was outside this morning in a rural area of the North Island of New Zealand, about 45 minutes away from Kaitaia. It was approximately 6:45 AM just before the sun had come up and I had been looking up at the stars. I looked away for a second and when I looked back I saw one of the stars moving.

It looked like a bright star and it just slowly moved across the sky. No sound or craft was detectable but I imagine the object was very far away. It took about 60 minutes ((sic. Seconds??)) for it to cross the sky. Enough time for me to wake my girlfriend and have her come out and see it as well.

It is possible this was just a satellite and that it wasn't actually stationary but rather came into view when I was looking away and just happened to crossed the path of the stars. There was no blinking or coloration and it was definitely not a plane. A satellite is a possibility though I have never seen one before.

I just thought I'd report it here in case anyone else saw it or had any information as to whether or not this sounds like a satellite.

HI,I SAW A GENUINE U.F.O.I WAS OUT IN MY ORCHARD LOOKING VERTICALLY UP INTO MY ADVACADO TREE FOR FRUIT.I NOTICED A SHINING OBJECT IN THE SKY WHILE PEERING THROUGH THE BRANCHES.I STEPPED TO ONE SIDE OF THE TREE INTO THE OPEN AND OBSERVED A METALIC SHINING OBJECT VERY HIGH IN THE SKY.IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SEVERAL MILES HIGH,IT WAS DOING THE WIERDEST FLIGHT PATTERN I HAVE EVER SEEN.IT WAS DOING TIGHT CIRCLE LAPS AT A VERY HIGH SPEED FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS THEN HEADED NORTH FOR SECOND.THEN WENT VIRTICLE TO INFINITY IN A SPLIT SECOND. Bright orange flashing light moving then staying still and then disappearing

Driving up my driveway, I noticed a bright orange light in the sky to the east, I bought my vehicle to a halt and got out of my car and noticed the light was moving, and flashing dimmer, brighter, dimmer (not on and off), it was not moving like a aircraft, it was changing paths slightly and too frequently, then it came to a stand still for about 10 seconds, then it faded out but not like a burn out fade, more a disappearing into distance fading but as if it was still standing still if that makes any sense.

I contacted Airways Corporation and they haven't had any aircraft in the vicinity for over 20 minutes and reported to me that the cloud cover was at 3000 metres, it was below the cloud cover or shone very brightly through the cloud cover. It wasn't a flare gun, too high for that. The time given is 04:05 NZ time and time Airways Corporation was contacted was 04:12. They also told there was no abnormalities on radar. I don't have a problem if someone wants to contact me over this matter.

We were driving to view a house festooned with Christmas Lights in West Auckland on Christmas Eve around 9pm. As I proceeded from the traffic lights I noticed two red circles to the south-east. I pulled to the side of the road and signalled to other our family in the car ahead to pull over. We all witnessed two slow moving red lights about drawing pinhead size, one behind the other. At first we thought they were helicopters but no navigational lights were visible and there was no audible sound. They flew together for a short time then one changed course. We all joked that they were checking out the house of lights and my d-i-l suggested it was Santa arriving with Rudolph! As one faded into the western sky it no longer glowed but appeared as a pinprick constant red light. We continued to see them as we walked to view the house and as my husband and I returned to East Auckland we spotted the lights again - this time two side by side and one on top. We quickly searched for a safe spot to stop the car but they had disappeared.

The Auckland Herald also reported strange lights over Tauranga the same night but the Police had no reports of other sightings. I did not report our sighting other than to this site.

Hi I decided to get out of Auckland City for a while,so me and my girlfriend went for a drive,so we decided to go to Whatatane,its a small town out side of Auckland City in New Zealand.But when we got to the town all the acommodation were full,So I decided we should sleep in the car,at Whakatane beach.I went to sleep,but I had to get go to the toilet,So I walked a bit towards the water.It was a very clear night.So I looked up.And I saw 3 objects very high up in the sky,they were so high up they looked like stars moving,but I knew they were not stars because they were moving at in a triangle formation,two flying in the back and one flying in the front,and at very high speed.So I thought I should tell somebody.Now I know we are not alone.Call me Crazy

UFO just hovering there

As me and my brother were driving home from work, he noticed a cylinder shpaed objecct hovring high in the sky, i pulled over and we got out. I can definitly say it wasnt a normal plane, work is close to the airport so i know a plane when i see one.although it was not on any flight path to other planes. I cant say if it made a sound as work is in a semi industry area with constant noise. It was giving off a light orange pulse then shot away in a northerly direction. It was gone from site within seconds.

Both cellphones failed to take even a half decent picture all we got was a blurry shot of the night sky

Large yellow/orange circular object moving at constant speed, with instant change of direction

It was quite a bit after dusk, and most of the stars were visible on this clear night. Coming outside from the house, I immediately saw an object about the size of a penny held at arm's length. It was circular and yellow/orange in color, with a bright center and slightly dimmer radius. At first I thought it was a meteor, but it was moving slower than that and appeared larger and less bright. Its speed was very consistent, and was becoming more dim as it moved from south to north. I didn't think any of this was particularly unusual until it INSTANTLY changed direction, almost but not quite 90 degrees to its original path. It continued in this direction and became more and more dim until it faded completely from view. At one point it was obstructed by a bush in the yard, so I ruled out some kind of hallucination / visual artifact. There was no sound accompanying the object. The entire event lasted perhaps 15-20 seconds.

Approximately 2.15am i was sitting down across the road from the army base.
I looked up into the heavens.
right where i looked, what appeared to be a space shuttle, painted in black/grey/light grey cammo dropped down nose first and made a short glide to stop.
as it came to a stop, it morphed into a white glowing circle shaped craft, and then moved so fast as to appear to be a blur, zoomed off towards the north island.

A light in the sky over Auckland ,New Zealand. Changing direction from left to right at 45 degree angles. Quite stunning to watch

On saturday evening I went outside onto the deck and was observing the clear sky over Auckland as I do from time to time, after 5 minutes or so of looking I saw what I thought was a shooting star going across but then to my amazement it changed direction suddenly on about a 45 degree angle to the left for approx two seconds then went straight for another two seconds then it changed direction on a 45 degree angle to the right and continued this staggered movement until it went out of sight. I can only drscribe it as being a light and unable to distinguish any shape being it was so far away which is why I first thought it was a shooting star. I was totally flabbergasted seeing something in the sky changing direction suddenly to the left straitening up and then altering it's path to the right and doing it at random again and again.

hi, i reported this sighting a few days ago, but used the wrong month day layout we use down here. it was a few weeks ago about June 2nd.

To add I haven't seen any other reports in local news etc. but it was going fairly fast and quite low. The v shape was tight and a bit irregular, the orbs seemed to jostle.

Could only think of a group of geese or ducks being lit by cars and street lights, but have never seen that before with bright red/amber.

Not much else can add, my friend isn't sure what it was as only glimpsed while driving after i noticed it. It was at times briefly obscured while driving and was gone by the time we got up on the bridge with a good view north up the valley. Could be similar to the well known here Kaikoura lights in 1977. Also foo fighters are described like theses looked.

Black Triangles

Myself and my Dad were standing across the road looking out into the distant hills while listening to a concert on the other side of the road.

I looked out into the hills and saw three triangular shaped objects slowly moving and rotating towards the south. Each moving black triangle had flashing lights on each corner (purple). They all moved together very slowly before fading out of site.

Orange lights above Hutt Valley

Observed a v shaped object at dusk seeming to be made up of nine or ten individual glowing orange red lights or orbs traveling north towards Upper Hutt.

I first observed the lights from the car when coming up to the bridge by the central library, then pointed them out to the driver. I wound down the window to see better, the object was traveling quite fast and was in front of the hills above the motorway, about helicopter size.

It resembled a group of geese flying in v formation, except it was faster and it appeared the objects making up the v shape were self illuminated. The individual lights changed position slightly within the shape.

Possibly one l larger object, or individual lights/orbs flying together.
