Levitating white light moving fast above the water surface a few hundred meters out by the coastline

We live in a house in the outskirts of Reykjavik capital region, with a direct view of the ocean from the backside of our house (20 meters away from the coastline). I was in the bedroom sitting and chatting with my spouse when we saw a fast moving white light, shaped like a star/diamond that moved at an elevated speed, floating at very low altitude (couple of meters it appeared) over the ocean´s surface, some few hundred meters away from the coastline/my house. I went outside immediately and tracked it over the surface for about 60 seconds or until I lost sight of it as it had turned inland. There was no friction or sound as this object/light moved forward, no change in its speed and it manouvered over rocks and made turns inland in ways that no vessel/vehicle known to me could. It never touched the surface, not the water surface and not the land. It turned effortlessly like it was levitating. There was no sound that came from it. My neighbors came to the window in the back of their villa as well to observe this light.
