Levitating white light moving fast above the water surface a few hundred meters out by the coastline

We live in a house in the outskirts of Reykjavik capital region, with a direct view of the ocean from the backside of our house (20 meters away from the coastline). I was in the bedroom sitting and chatting with my spouse when we saw a fast moving white light, shaped like a star/diamond that moved at an elevated speed, floating at very low altitude (couple of meters it appeared) over the ocean´s surface, some few hundred meters away from the coastline/my house. I went outside immediately and tracked it over the surface for about 60 seconds or until I lost sight of it as it had turned inland. There was no friction or sound as this object/light moved forward, no change in its speed and it manouvered over rocks and made turns inland in ways that no vessel/vehicle known to me could. It never touched the surface, not the water surface and not the land. It turned effortlessly like it was levitating. There was no sound that came from it. My neighbors came to the window in the back of their villa as well to observe this light.

I was looking through a flir camera (ulephone armor 18T) because I was followed by drones and orbs for days before. witnessed by others

3 days prior I had come in contact with an orb of light. I already filed a report on that. Due to that I had seen orbs and drones hovering above me for days. These things were witnessed by my wife and and random bystanders. I was working that day driving a trailer truck. Carrying 20 tons of bird feed for chicken. I had problems with the rotor machine that pumped the feed. I needed to run out and unclog it many times. There was very little light as it was a cloudy night and it got dark hours before I arrived there. I used the flir to see better around me, but I was also checking if there were orbs or drones around. First off, stars and other bright objects do not show up on the flir. the moon was out of view and also behind heavy clouds. This could be something wrong with the flir itself however I have not seen this before or after on it. I will add the two videos I have of it. I have more videos where the object can't be seen anymore. I couldn't see the thing with my own eyes but it seemed pretty real on flir. Temperature was sub zero, with heavy wind. The direction of the orb is west as far as I can see. I taped the thing, ran to unclog the machine. Filmed the thing where it was in a different location. I had to unclog the machine again and then it was gone or hidden by the clouds. I filmed regularly for the next 3-4 hours before leaving. I haven't recorded it again but I do see the lights flying across my town to this day. they stop in my line of view and then keep going. I have very dark videos of the lights moving but I can't seem to film them properly while they are stationary. I'm adding one orb video where there are two that changed direction.

They looked like stars or satellites. however they converged high above me and hovered. Two left but one approached me.

I had been seeing these lights out of my window since November. I noticed they were not satellites from the way they moved or hovered. I had also seen them, along with strange looking drones flying over the neighborhood while I was outside with my kid. Mind you the temperature has been well below freezing.

I decided on the 7th of December 2024 to go for a walk. I fully charged my SamsungA35 and Ulephone armor 18T because of the flir capability. I went out at around five pm and walked the walking path next to the ocean. I saw many lights crossing the sky, probably most satellites. One was flying in a wavy pattern. So I asked in my mind if it would stop. It did. It hovered at around 88 degrees in front, over the ocean. Then it was joined by two lights that were slightly larger. It's hard to guess the size because I saw them the same weather they were a kilometer away or up close. After a few minutes the two larger lights flew or zipped away. I waited maybe 15 minutes staring at the light, sending it friendly thoughts. I tried filming but the camera didn't pick anything up. Finally the light moved closer to me and descended to the ground. It landed approximately 30meters away from me next to some pine trees. I remembered I had the phone with thermal camera so I took it out. The light flashed, lighting up the trees and vanished. I don't know if it was the cold or something the light did but for a few minutes after the only thing the thermal could see was a garbled image. Jumping from temperatures of -40C to plus 124C I got so cold that my hands barely functioned.

I went home to check the footage. In the next 4 days that followed there were strange occurrences at my home. Every computer would randomly shut down. phones couldn't connect to WIFI or 5g and more. One morning I woke up after a very peculiar dream at 5am and looked out the window. There were a bunch of these light flying through the clouds, one smaller light was rising up from my apartment building and joined them. Two lights descended from the clouds to hover in my line of sight above the neighboring building before rising up and joining the others. I have formed a group of 4 who all live in different towns in Iceland. They have all reported seeing the lights and drones, both small and large that are not commercially available. We compare our findings to flightradar24 and to stellar maps to be sure. I have since recorded on both normal camera and thermal other events which I can upload. some has been uploaded to Reddit already.

Me and my girlfriend were at the ROOF, a rooftop bar in the Edition Hotel here in reykjavik having a few drinks. We were sitting outside while the northern lights slowly appeared they were not super visible but when we took photos on our phone they appeared. While taking photos our iPhone 12s have this filter so we could see the sky better. Well I started seeing this small white orbs appearing and disappearing, at first I did not say anything since my gf would normally call me crazy. Well all of a sudden she sees it and calls me over. No matter how hard I tried I could not get a video or photo of them directly on my iPhone which I found super weird. What I ended up having to do was take a photo of my gfs phone when they appeared. Well I’ll let the photos speak for themselves because that was truly crazy. You will be able to see in one of the photos 3 perfect white dots in a triangular pattern. I will be back to Canada next week and I’d love to talk to someone about my findings. I have photos evidence and multiple witnesses. Some are locals from the hotel who said that is not normal. I will provide the photos if someone contacts me. I do not want my phones taken and used by someone else without my permission

Craft was about 10 km away from me, moving from east to west above the mountain.

I was a passenger in a moving vehicle on a coastal road close to the town of Eyrarbakki on the southern coast of Iceland. The vehicle was moving at a speed of about 90 km/hour from east to west. I rolled down the window on the passenger side and looked inland towards Ingólfsfjall mountain, close to the town of Selfoss, about 10 km away towards north east. It was a cloudy day and there were scattered showers of rain around the mountain. The cloudy sky was featureless and light gray so that the object stood out against it. I took two pictures, two seconds apart. The object was small seen from such a distance and seemed to move fast from east to west. I used a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone to take both images. There was only one object that I could see and it was not until I looked at the images that I noticed the changing of shape or rotation of the object and the halo around it. It looked to be dark grey in color.
I have a background in photography and always make sure my lens is clean. I know just as well that something on the lens would not show up sharp like this in the image. As the images are taken from a moving vehicle at such speed it is obvious that the foreground would be blurry from the motion. Only more distant objects would not be affected by this. The level of sharpness in the images is not optimal but it can be determined that the object is at least as far away as the mountain.

3 crafts that appeared from the west heading north moving in a way that was not like an airplane with a 4th craft followed after 10 min

It was a clear night over Reykjavik, I was looking out my hotel window looking at the horizon to see if I could catch the northern lights by chance. The first light came from the west- it was just a light like a bright clear twinkling light. It moved so rapidly left, right up and down. And suddenly 2 others joined it and they were aligned in a row of 3 moving in unison and then they just disappeared north. About 10 minutes later, another one appeared from the same direction. It moved the same way and disappeared in the northern direction. However again in the morning of 2/23/22 I saw the same object of light again at 5:45am. I tried to get my husband up to see it but it disappeared so quickly. We are not in a flight path from the airport. There were no other air crafts in the sky. The only difference is that the second time I saw the lone craft, it was very overcast and so it flew low. Both mornings the window was open and I didn’t hear anything like you would if a plane flew that low over head.

I was had just gotten home from work and was exhausted so i decided i would go relax for a while in my hot tub. It was around 11:00pm when i got in, i hadn't given the tub enough time to fill up completely so the water only reached about halfway. So i lay down using the seats as support and stare into the night sky. It had just started being dark outside again after the 24/7 sun months and i missed the night sky. as i was looking at the stars i started staring at random stars without blinking for long periods of time and after a few minutes i notice what i think is a satilite and start to follow it with my eyes. It isn't moving fast at all compared to the sky but it is moving erratically, fast short bursts in alternating directions. I knew it was a UFO/UAP and stared and followed it for a about 45 minutes. After a few minutes had passed with me staring at it and my eyes adjusting to the darkness i spot three extremely dim lights moving in unison with the lar! ger light(the UFO) i had been staring at. The movements of the UFO aren't very noticable, so it took some time to confirm that the lights very indeed moving in unison. The positioning of the all 4 lights combined made up two connected 90degree angles with the brightest light not at the nose, but at one of the round corners to the side. after a little while i notice another two dim lights a considerable distance away the bright light. Both below and behind and also moving in unison. Some minutes later I again notice two dim lights in my peripheral vision this time behind and above. This gives plausible reasoning for it to be one large craft but i not sure as i observed the smaller extremely dim lights to be somewhat unstable. What i mean by this is that they were somewhat shaky compared to the bright light which i could clearly see the i could never 100% confirm that the dim lights were moving as if it was one structure would compared to the bright light but nonetheless de! finatively at the same time, the uncertainty was with distance! . i cant tell you that it was the EXACT same distance.

Was walking down the road at Miðbraut witch is in Seltjarnarnes Iceland, I saw an oval type light in the skies, did not see the craft itself but just the light in the skies, it moved from left to right, and from right to left. It could not have been search light because there is no light beems emitting from the ground. It seems that the light was above the sky pointing downward like a search light comming above the skies. It could not have been helecopter, because the light beem was very large, it stopped just above me and waited for few seconds and then moved up the street and came back above me.

I had my phone on me and it has a camera but I tried to move my hands to get the phone to take pictures and movie but somthing.. don´t know I just failed to take pictures.

11-12 bright lights observed over Reykjavik, Iceland. One at a time in a space of 2 hours or so.

I am a student of history attending the University of Iceland. I’d like to note that I’ve never seen anything like this before. I do believe it is possible that aliens may have visited us and that UFOs might be alien spacecraft. The things I witnessed yesterday night left a lasting impression on me and I’m actually filing this report because I just need to get this sighting of my chest.

Last night me and my girlfriend had just finished watching a movie. The time was roughly 2:45 am. I walk out onto my deck and light cigarette. As I am smoking the cigarette I notice a light descending across the sky. My first thought is; “Oh cool, a shooting star”. But the object moved far too slow for any shooting stars that I’ve ever seen and it’s descent was taking much longer then any shooting star I’ve observed. As I’ve been looking at it for maybe 5 seconds it suddenly starts to ascend in a curve and then suddenly it makes a U-turn in the sky and bolts at high velocity in the opposite direction it was originally travelling. By the time this happens I’ve called my girlfriend to come look. Then the object vanishes but reappears a short distance away from it’s vanishing position about 2 seconds later, takes off at high speed again and then vanishes again. By this time my girlfriend is outside with me but missed seeing the object.

About 30-40 minutes later I went back outside both to see if I could see some more of these things and to have a cigarette. After gazing at the sky for 2 minutes or so I noticed another light. This light moved in a straight line but seemed to be changing speeds as it did. I observed 5 lights like these in a 15-20 minute timeframe and they all moved in the same line but I never saw more then one at a time. I lost sight of the lights as they moved over my apartment building. They must have been very high up. I called my girlfriend to see these and she saw two of them and agreed with me that there was something strange about those lights. As it was really cold outside I went back inside.

As I was about to go to sleep at about 4:40 am or so I went outside again to have a cigarette before bed. It was beginning to light up a bit outside but still semi-dark. I then observed about 5-6 lights appear one at a time far away on the horizon. They seemed to appear out of nowhere and then they would bolt away at high speed and vanish. One of the lights actually took a whirl in the air before bolting away. Then I went to sleep.

I would like to note that the sky that night was mostly cloud free and it was very starbright. Also I would like to note that due to a volcano that is erupting about 200-300 kilometers away from here there was very little airtraffic due to the ash, although none of the ash has reached Reykjavik yet a lot of European flights to Iceland have been cancelled in the last few days. Maybe that UFO was observing the volcano and used the chance as there were no other aircraft around, but that’s just speculations.

Saucer shaped object appears on picture, while not noticed when picture was taken.

Object on picture not noticed when picture was taken. Picture is taken towards west-northwest and the moon had gone down a couple of hours earlier. Looks like a lens reflection from a lightpost, although the lightposts in the picture appear of different shape. Also looks like a flying saucer from movies in the fifties.

Cylinder hiding from fighter jets in west Iceland

The 3 of us where walking on a well known footpath. We were enjoying the scenery when one of our party noticed a craft that seemd to be hovering under a cliff. The craft was cylindrical in shape with no obvious doors or windows. The color was some sort of metalic but it's difficult to describe it because looking at it hurt our eyes. (As in some sort of camoflage). Suddenly we heard a sonic boom and 3 fighter jets flew over, in what seemd to be a tight formation. They passed over us about half dozen times. All of us were very afraid, both of the noise and the low passage of the jets. When the jets had finally gone the craft left. It passed directly over us. It made no sound but we all felt terrible pressure in our heads and all our watches stopped. About a half hour passed until we felt strong enough to come down from the mountain. The fighter jets might have been from the U.S. but we are not entirely sure, a large Russian fleet has been manovering on the west coast of our country for a week now, they have not given any expalnations about what they are doing there. There seemed to be no markings what so ever on the jets.

Car buzzed by a bright object

The car was travelling on a country road in Northern Iceland. A light was at first observed relatively high above the car. The driver thought it was a satellite moving but suddenly it approached the car extremely fast and took position beside and above the car, perhaps 1-2 meters away. The object was the size of a small car and very bright and totally illuminated the car on the inside. The driver stepped on it and the object followed up to a speed of approx. 100 mph. When the car approached a few houses close to the road with street lighting, the object gained altitude - perhaps to 50-150 meters. About two kilometers later, the object suddenly turned left and crossed a fjord ca 4 kilometers wide, and took position above the drivers house. The driver arrived about 20 minutes later and the object was still above the house. Driver and passenger went inside and brushed their teeth, intending to go to sleep. As the object was still outside, the driver then went out and took some pictures with a digital camera.

The object was bright and multicoloured. The photos are not particularly clear, probably because the shutter on the camera closed because of the bright light. However, some lights in a triangular shape can be made out on one of them.

Two extreemly strong flashing lights

Two very bright white flashing lights (appr. 1-2 sec. interval) The strange thing is that the movement was very fast and the rear and the front light where on the same axis. That is the lights where not moving side by side as you would see on an aeroplane. No other lights flashed during the whole time. I saw these lights mabee close to 50°-60° up from where I was standing no noise was heard but the flashes where so strong that I had to blink my eyes every time they flashed.

Shining Golden disk zikzaking down and then shooting to space.

I was working in garbage sanitation one morning. I was with a colleague who was telling me a story and slowly stops the story with jaws dropped looking up in the sky. I looked around and saw a golden disk shining and hovering silent in the sky. It was pretty close and not very high up maybe 5k far and few 100m high. We just stared for a few secs and then it went diagonally down to the right a few m. Stopped and went diagonally down left. Stopped and hovered a bit. Then with a swing move to the right shot on superseded to space. All my colleagues saw this but no one wanted to admit it was ufo. I called the meteorology station in Iceland and talked to a guy who deals with "all these matters" He said a farmer in Eyjafjőll, 500k away had seen the same thing shooting all color rays out of in 15 min earlier.

Since I have seen a silver disk on another occasion. Also many times seen stars or lights making impossible moves in the air at night.

unusual lights over oceans

observed from 39000ft over mid atlantic ocean, initially from W2720.0 on the north atlantic track system: ball shaped white light light observed in approx direction of the sky over iceland.very high up, possibly low earth orbit. light appeared to travel approx in our direction, dipping slightly, got much brighter and then looped away northeastward growing dimmer. this happened in the same place 3 times. on the second occasion a small very fast light appeared to 'chase' the first brighter one as it was receeding. event times were approx. 0701z, 0711z, 0721z. At its brightest the light was much brighter than the background stars, and of similar intensity to a bright shooting star.it was a dark moonless night with many shooting stars, but they dont move in eliptical paths !. Also around the same time another object was seen to track south east ward from a position abeam left, to infront overhead, to right side horizon. its path was only visible as it pulsed light, one short quick pulse, one slightly longer one. this occurred 3 times (that I saw) each pair of pulses showed the objects track to be consistent with the last.Its, aprox. track was southeast.i believe what i observed is consistent with a test of a space based weapons system. I have never seen anything unusual in 20 yrs of professional aviation, and 10 yrs on the N. Atlantic.

Flying home from England, I looked out the window to see the sights. We were flying well above the cloud cover. It was a glorious, sunny day. Some distance away, I saw a small dark sphere that seemed to hover above the clouds. Upon closer inspection, it almost seemed to be bobbing and weaving, maintaining its position relative to the cloud deck.

The object seemed distant, yet it was about the size of a pea as seen through the aircraft window. It was perfectly round and dark, with a dark reddish-brown cast to it. It was perfectly outlined against the brilliant white clouds, and did reflect sunlight back from its edges as if it were very reflective but part of it was in shadow. (?) There was only one object, and it remained relatively motionless, just sort of bobbing and weaving. On several ocassions, the object seemed to drift too much in a vertical or horizontal distance, then it quickly and smoothly returned to its original position. It stayed in full-view for as long as I could see as the airplane progressed. My seatmate was asleep, this being a flight from Birmingham, UK to Newark, NJ. So, there was no one else for me to confirm the sighting with. I don't know what it was, but it seemed strange. Do balloons of any kind ascend to that height? I seem to recall the pilot saying that we were at about 38,000 feet. And the little inflight video screens noted that we were over the Atlantic Ocean, somewhere near Iceland. I am a marketing professional with no prior sightings of this kind. I was returning from a major trade show in the UK. I am a 35-year-old male American.

Ball of light traveling at a high rate of speed over Keflavik Iceland, circa late summer 1998.

I was walking with a friend down a side street in Keflavik Iceland in late August 1998 to go to the movies. The street was very wide, so I had an almost completely unobstructed view of the sky.

As is my habit, I looked up at the sky because the sky is very beautiful there, especially in the late summer. Although it was about 7:00 PM, it was still completely light out with no stars or planets visible, the sky still a brilliant azure. There were a few scattered clouds.

Suddenly, I saw a ball of light, but it was moving. It seemed to alternate between yellow and white in color, and it seemed to be quite high in altitude. I want to guess about 20 to 30 thousand feet (?). Because of the altitude, it looked to be about double the size of Venus, but not as brilliant, though it was bright.

I could not see the actual shape, or if it was an actual craft, but it did appear circular. The shape remained constant, though the colors seemed to change.

The main reason for this submission, though, is the rate of speed with which the object traveled. I first noticed the light when it was a little less than halfway across the horizon, almost directly overhead. It was completely out of sight in about 6 to 8 seconds. It also had a very flat, straight flight pattern, totally different from what you would see if you were watching a jumbo jet flying overhead, which tend to appear as if they are dragging across lazily the sky, hardly moving, and at an angle to the horizon.

Speaking of jumbo jets flying at about 20 to 30 thousand feet, they seem to take forever before you lose sight of them, and they travel at about 650 MPH.

Though I do not possess the mathematical expertise to calculate it accurately, I am pretty certain that whatever can race halfway across the horizon in less than 10 seconds at that altitude must be able to move at an alarming rate of speed. If it was something man made, I hope it is in the American inventory.

As with my one other sighting, I was in a state of what I like to refer to as a calm astonishment, unable to speak out to my friend about it. I believe I mentioned it aterwards, but the response was pretty lackluster, as is often the case.

playing with a jet

i was standing at my balconi and i got a good view, on my right side is reykjavik bay area and on my left is keflavik, so i saw a jet, probably a fighter because us army had a base at keflavik, then i see two objects that looks like small sphere but they are a litle bit lit, and the started flying around the jet fighter like they were checking it out or just playing with it, (and btw those objects moved like no other aircraft can move, it was like they were 2 flies looking at the light, anyway suddenly the took of at an amazing speed heading to reykjavik area, i´m sorry i don´t have a spelling program, i just wanted to tell somebody about this because it has been stuck in my head since that night

I`m a graduate at faculty of mechanical engineering. I underwnt fighter pilot med-exams and have confirmed excellent eye-vision. I`m also very familiar with all types of aircraft, helicopter, other airborne crafts and satellites, their in-flight behavior and day/night identification. I`m also familiar with stars and other astronomical objects that may be observed with naked-eye or binoculars on night-sky. I wrote complete data of every one of series of events right after they happend. Location: (on the balcony of my house) Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia Air temperature: +4°C Clouds: 0/8 (clear) No sighted air traffic (3 nm west of Il.Bist. there is a VOR/DME/NDB beacon) No moon. Hale-Bopp comet behind the horizon for almost an hour. Light pollution of sky minimal. Car traffic in vicinity: 2/min Observer in dark area, no lights in field of vision. Event: After the event that occured the day before, I observed southern skies approx. half an hour, naked eyed. I just wanted to go inside when a dark object flew over the town of Ilirska Bistrica, paralel to the valley in which the town is located (ie vector 150° ). I observed object at elevation of 20°, angular size 3.5°. Picture at: http://www.((website deleted)) Presumed craft shape: http://www.((website deleted))> Duration: Approx. 1.5 second Appearance: Object flew in the direction of 150°, straight. I started to observe it when it appeared from behind the roof of our house and stopped when it disappeared in light-polluted air low over the horizon. The observed flight path was 20° angular size. The main part of the object was dark, you could not tell what shape it was, you just noticed that your view at the background stars was blocked by something moving and black. At the end of this black mass, there were 4 white lights (I`d say they were about at visual magnitude 4 or 5), at equal distances in a line. Between every two strong lights there was a weak light, not the half way in between, but a little up and right. Those weaker lights were also at equal distances and in a line, that was paralel to the line of the strong lights. From the direction of motion, paralel movement of all lights in that direction and the perspective changes, I can tell by feeling that the object was close and low over the town. I`d put its route over the local factory. And by the movement through the air, you could just tell that the two lines of lights are perpendicular to flight path. After it passed by, I heard a one second long weak buzzing noise. Like the sound of tyres rolling but buzzing and much more quiet than car tyres. The sound pitch was lowering as the object egressed, like the doppler effect. Angular size of object: approx. 3.5° Angular velocity: approx. 7°/sec. My conclusions: The four strong lights were at equal distances and always in the line, at their fixed positions. No smoke trails behind. If they were parts of a meteor broken by Earth`s tidal forces, they would go apart, they`d be much more close together, their light intensity would change and they would leave smoke trails (I`ve seen a few meteor break-ups, and I know how they look like). The weaker lights were also at equal distances and formed in a line that was paralel to the line of the stronger lights, but they were located a little to the right and up from the strong ones. I don`t know about the size of the object. If I assume it was about 20m wide, then the 3.5° angular width would give it the distance of 320m. That would go together with that feeling of mine plus the sound did not come to me immediately, but with approx. one second delay. So, that would put the object over the factory 300 meters away at about 150 meters above ground level. Assumptions. Later comments: I read in a paper that there was a scramble alert in USAFB Aviano, Italy (which is located at 300° 80nm from sighting location) on the 11th of March 1997 due to a wave of UFO sightings over the base. I don`t know if the news is valid, but I seek explanation of this and my further two sightings in it. Added in November 1997.

It was a cigar shaped craft 400-feet long and 75-feet in diameter, like shiney aluminum.

I was 14-years old, am 62 now.

My friend's ((name deleted)) dad, ((pilot's name deleted)) was a PAX on a Navy Anti-Submarine Warfare Aircraft returning from Iceland. They were flying at 20,000 feet, above the clouds.

A UFO shaped like a cigar case, shiny like polished aluminum, approx 400-feet in length and 75-feet in diameter pulled up along side the Navy plane.

((name deleted)) and all on board started taking pictures. ((witness)) took six pictures and reloaded a roll of fresh film and started clicking pictures as fast as he could aim and shoot.

The UFO moved around the plane over the top, port side, under and back to the right side. It flew along side for several minutes.

The pilot made some maneuvers and the UFO followed precisely. The UFO pulled away at a high rate of speed and disappeared in the clouds.

Later the Navigator ordered everyone to turn over their cameras and film. ((witness)) kept the first roll, 6-pictures. He had the 6 pictures developed and there clear as a bell was the UFO.

I was fascinated and looked at the pictures a long time. There was a row of windows along the side, like round portholes. This was a solid mechanical device that made ballistic moves that no man made aircraft could make.

Nothing official was ever reported.

I did not see the UFO personally but saw the photos and heard ((witness)) report.

I believe what I saw to be absolutely genuine. /s/ ((initials deleted))
