I spotted a green light speeding in all directions in the skies of Uzbekistan.

When I served in the Peace Corps in Uzbekistan I lived in a small town by the name Shavat, in the Khorezm region, not far from the Turkmenistan border. I was a teacher in a small school and rented a house there.

One morning I woke up for school. I can’t remember exactly which time it was , but I know it was between 6:30 and 7:10 AM there. It was still dark. I stepped outside to walk to the outhouse in my backyard and as I did so I happened to look up in the sky and noticed something that seemed out of place there.

It was a green ball of light, moving slowly in all directions (up and down, right and left). It wasn’t just an insignificant spec in the sky but big and bright enough to have a true presence there. I knew immediately that it wasn’t a shooting star, an airplane, a satellite, or a meteor because I had seen those things before and knew how they moved. This object moved deliberately, covering wide distances in the sky in only seconds, as if somebody were moving a laser pointer dot all around on a blackboard. Then it sped away and disappeared.

That day I went to school and told colleagues about it. These were Uzbek nationals. One friend, a young woman my age who was my counterpart, was skeptical and treated me like I was crazy while my director told me had seen something similar years before. I also told another friend whom I didn’t work with-- a young female teacher at a nursery school.

The next morning I woke up again around the same time and just like the morning before I stepped into my backyard on my way to outhouse and saw it again. This time for only a split second before it sped away.

Later that week the nursery school teacher I had told my story to told me that she had seen the same thing while outside at her house, only late in PM hours.

Months passed. Later, in the Spring, my counterpart at school who had treated me like I was crazy when I told her my story apologized to me one day, and told me that she and her family had all witnessed the same object in the sky over the weekend, late at night. Her sighting took place for an extended period of time and witnessed by more than at least three people I have no opinion as to what this object was, only that it wasn’t normal and that it was definitely worth reporting. Especially since it kept appearing.

It was in 19??. We saw a rectangle luminous object flying above our building back and forth turning different parts.

We have never said anything about what we’ve seen to anyone and this is strange. I think we had erased memory for years.

Many years later I remembered that and asked my brother I’d that was real or my imagination. He confirmed that we had seen that and he also remembered that.

When I was lying on the bed in our yard of our house, it was nearly midnight, and I was slightly going to sleep. I don`t know suddenly, the sky was covered with clouds and the wind blew faster and faster. Immediately the blowing wind stopped and just like a flash, the oval bright yellow object in the sky appeared. It was staying in the sky for about 5 seconds and disappeared like the fire switches off.

It was at the evening of 1987 on the south part of Navoi city in Uzbekistan, my family and I saw a bright object over the KizilKum desert. We did not see the exact shape of the object because of the distance approximately 2-3 kilometers and because of it's brightness, the altitude of the object less then one kilometer. The object was on the same place for over 10 minutes and suddenly it separated in two parts, one bigger and other one is smaller, the smaller part become move rapidly around bigger part and looks like it was going to ground and back to bigger part. In about 20 minutes two objects merged together and moved away with a great speed. Also we did not hear any noise. Next day I found out in my school that number of people experienced the same, I am not saying that it UFO, maybe some Russian flying device but definitely not a helicopter and plane. And also the light was kind of flashing and very white and bright. Sorry if my English is not good. It is just a report, I am not trying to make any statments or release my name. Also I heard in the same area people we expiriening such things mmeny times.777 Sincerely, ((name deleted))

Large sphere the size of an apartment building hovered over a remote desert community.

Several first year students and their teacher reported seeing a large sphere that hovered over their gold mining town in the middle of the Kizilqum desert sometime in 1987. It was large (about the size of a small apartment building,) very bright and frightened everyone who witnessed it. Most ran and hid indoors until it left. Someone's mother took photographs, but burned them later because she feared they might bring an evil influence into her home.

Hopefully someone else will be able to confirm this incident?
