Big Light Shining from the River Upwards into the Night Sky

I was sitting on the step of our house in the morning hours. Suddenly, I saw a big light shining from the river upwards into the sky. It looked as if the sun was rising from the water. I quickly put on my boots and ran towards the river. When I arrived, there was no light. Minutes later, I heard a voice moving upwards through the night sky. It sounded like a portable radio being flown upwards through the sky while the speaking voice fainted away until I couldn't hear it anymore. I had never heard that type of voice or language before.

According to the local people, that light is common at the river during December and has been seen before.
