The object was seen on the night of 28 April 2006 between 0:15 and 01:00. The place of the sighting was near the town of Theunisen In the Freestate South Africa.

The object move from the west to the east side in irrecular intervals/ MOVEMENTS UP ,DOWN LEFT AND RIGHT. It seem to have different lights going on and off in sucsessing. The colors of the lights were red,GREEN , BLUE AND YELLOW.

The event lasted oubout 45 minutes before the ufo dissapeare over the horizon.

Giant white orb appears to hover over rural Farmhouse in 1970's

Description of Event:
On a calm October evening in the early 1970s, my father, along with his four siblings and my grandparents, were seated outside their home in rural South Africa, enjoying the mild weather. Around 10 PM, they noticed an unusual and striking phenomenon in the sky.

A massive white orb, appearing much larger than the moon, suddenly hovered directly above their house. The object, enormous in size and glowing brilliantly, remained stationary and silent for approximately 30 minutes.

When attempting to observe the orb closely, the witnesses could see nothing but an intense white light. There were no discernible physical features or structures visible within the light, making the object seem almost otherworldly and impossible to comprehend.

The family noted the following:

The orb emitted no noise whatsoever. It maintained a completely stationary position throughout its appearance. Its brightness was uniform, casting a mysterious glow over the area. Despite the awe and unease, it inspired, the orb did not exhibit any threatening behaviour. After about 30 minutes, the object abruptly shot away into the sky at an extraordinary speed, leaving behind a streak of light that persisted for only a millisecond or two before vanishing.

Additional Witnesses:
The following day, several men and children from the nearby local township approached my grandfather and father. They inquired if they had seen the "giant moon" the previous night. These individuals described witnessing the same phenomenon, confirming that the event was observed over a broader area and by multiple unrelated witnesses.

Additional Observations:
No physical disturbances (e.g., vibrations or heat) were reported. The sky was otherwise clear, with no interference from clouds or other celestial phenomena.
Both the family and local township witnesses consistently described the orb as massive, silent, and incomprehensible.

Personal Notes:
My father vividly remembers the event and has emphasized that the orb was massive, far larger than the moon as it appears in the night sky. Its inability to manifest any physical features beyond the intense white light left the witnesses unable to "wrap their heads around" what they were seeing. The sheer size and mysterious nature of the object made it impossible to mistake for any ordinary celestial body or man-made object. The shared accounts from the community have further validated the experience.

This sighting remains an extraordinary and mysterious moment in our family's history and an event that continues to intrigue and mystify us.
