I was leaving my street in the car when we saw two fleets on the horizon near the roundabout, heading towards Aveiro, They did a line formation, there were 5 or 6 up, an empty space in the middle and another 5 or 6 in line down from the first fleet. They disappeared after 3 minutes.

I saw a wall of light rainbow

I was waiting for the bus to pass, chatting with my friend and holding her sleeping baby in my arms. She was standing in front of me while I sat at the bus stop. Behind her, in the sky, I saw lights—many lights that I initially thought were stars. My first thought was, "The sky is clear tonight, the stars are shining." But I quickly realized they were moving, and I asked my friend to turn around and look too. In front, there were hundreds of lights moving in a peculiar way; they were very close to each other but didn't collide. It seemed like several of these lights were coming together to form a pointed shape. Behind all these lights, which appeared to be moving in waves, there was a slightly larger light, more whitish in color. I thought about filming it but figured it would end quickly; however, it lasted a few more minutes, so I asked her to record it with my phone. But I knew the camera was terrible, and nothing would be visible. They continued to move in their dance until they disappeared over the horizon.

A flying small sphere/orb moving in daylight

On a hot sunny day, after spending the morning at the beach and having lunch at a nearby cafe. My parents and I decided to go to the local park to relax under the shade. Right before entering the park, I noticed an object flying slowly against a clear blue sky. The object looked like a circle from the angle of observation, at roughly 35 to 50 degrees. At a distance of approximately 20m. The approximate size of a baseball, if a bit small. It moved exactly north to south across an open backyard. The side facing the sun looked like polished metal (metal mirror under sunlight) because of the intense reflection. The edge of the orb seemed to be vibrating/oscillating (the hardest part to describe), as if a bit hazy. No matter how much I tried to adjust my eyes I couldn't see the line of the circle perfectly. The rest of the sphere looked blue against the backdrop of the sky but not a perfect match in ton, almost as if bounce light from the sky on a reflective surface. Moved against the wind at a slow speed, I was able to determine this as a pigeon feather crossed my line of sight while tracking the object. The object then passed over the top of a 2 story house and I lost track. I couldn't require the sphere afterward. I didn't take a picture because there was no way my camera could pick up anything besides blurry pixels. The orb was too small, bright against a bright blue sky.

So, I was looking at the sky, when I noticed a group of 3 or 4 little lighspots in the air, like it was a star, the same size and shape as you see the normal stars in the sky, but this wasn't any regular star, it was a group of 2 in line, then a third one appeared, and i saw a fourth one distant from this 3 group, but they were moving, one started to go upwards, distanced a little bit from the 2 other that were close, and then started to go forward again, 2 continued in line going forward, but at a moment they stoped still, and started to move again, while the other separated from the group and went east, the other two proceded to move forward to the NORTH SITE from the location I sent, and the third one joined that 2 after a bit, I thought it was a starlink satelite, but i checked the starlink MAP, and nothing was passing by at that moment.

Fulminating ball of light, distinct from other ilumination sources defied gravity forces and suddenly flashed up.

I have very good eyesight and so I could see some distinct features of this phenomenon, it was an increasing energy source (bright orange) being expelled from possible cavities within its source, it was distinct from other light sources as it didn't "blink" and it was next in view to light sources that could be compared to such as radar lights, planes crossing by, city lights, chemical reactions, and a possible forest fire.

I don't believe in any of this. But, it defied our known physics laws, thus, I had to report it. I tried to record it with my iPhone Pro 13, but whenever the camera came close to encountering the light source it became blurry no matter what degree of zoom I applied to it, this further strains my reasoning of possible explanations.

The source gravitated for 10-12 m, as we continue our life, but I kept an eye on it (for obvious reasons), then suddenly it flashed upwards with a slight trace of light behind it, and checking it getting blurrier into what I assumed to be the stratosphere and just "Vanished"( its impossible not to leave a trace like that and suddenly disappears??). Either way, the source was definitely hot with a pasty vision blurry to it since details fail to match any man-made known machines or mechanisms.

A line of square metallic like lights observed moving across the sky.

In the dark sky, what looked like a string of square lights in a straight line were observed to be traveling quickly. The line of lights then turned slightly and then got slowly smaller as it appeared to move further away from us. We live in one of the least populated areas of Portugal Europe so there was no sky traffic and no noise or light pollution, almost full moon. There was no noise associated with the passing of this string of lights. It was very strange. The light emitted in itself was unusual, like a metallic reflection rather than the light given from aero planes passing in the night sky. The lights on this did appear to be doing something sim in at to flickering but seemed to be in unison with each other. Anyway, never seen anything like this before, we had time to call the kids to look and they were equally surprised and perplexed.

Reddish triangle above the sea, north of Portugal.

Circa 2 AM I started to hear seagulls squawking which is pretty unusual.

Since they were keep making noise for a while I went to the balcony to see why the commotion.

I live half a mile from the coast.

Saw a reddish triangle hovering over the sea, quite big.

Now in this location it is pretty common to have fishing boats and other kind of vessels, but it was nothing like that. In fact, there were two different boats near it, like 50-100 metres to the right and left, I guess. Unlike this vessels which have small distinct white lights, what I saw was like a huge mass of lava-like light, slowly fading into nothingness. Coincidence or not, when the event ended, the gulls went quiet.

I had a similar experience July 2012, but that time it was bigger and spherical.

We didn't know who to report this too I highly doubt anyone that didn't witness it would believe it anyway.

My husband and I don't believe in aliens but we ran out of logical reasons for what we witnessed last night.

We're on holiday in Portugal and my husband called me outside last night quickly because he'd seen something. He pointed up to the sky and immediately I saw what he was talking about.

It looked like what I could only describe as at least 100 'stars' all moving the in same direction across the sky, about the speed of a plane. They all flashed on and off in regular intervals but individually. So they didn't all flash at the same time but they were all flashing.

We saw them move across the night sky until it was too far away to see them any more.

I tried to video it but it didn't show up on my phone camera.

UFO in Portugal: I had a strange thing happening about 3 days ago (15-06-2016) at 00:50 a.m.

One small flash in the sky caught my attention, I started wondering what was that, then came a second and 3rd, all in about a frame of 10-15 seconds. Not in the same place but in the same sky region! I waited for more and while I waited looking for more. I noticed a small light like a star but a bit larger, it was faraway from Earth but visible. It made several movements in several directions, never making curves but abrupt changes in path!!! Straight lines in a short piece of sky, then turning and turning...straight line, then changing direction. Faster than a plane for sure.

It was in the skies above, not horizonte!! I started looking for places and people who could register this event but nobody paid attention or replied. I had no way of registering this because my phone only has 2Mp, so its useless! The object (UFO) was seen over 2-3 minutes, as soon I realised what it was I tried to contact people to have more witnesses or advises, when I went to look again i was gone and never to see again.

While I was searching for someone to talk about this I noticed that 2 days before this event it was registered in video near Lisbon-Leiria.

My place (village) is 70-60 Kilometres away (45-50 miles). But this one is going on straight line, my vexperience was in several direction but looks like just a bit smaller.

We saw about 500 lights between 100/200m from the ground moving all at the same time together.

We were doing a security round on Sintra airbase at around 10:30pm and we saw about 500 lights like 4000 Kelvin's moving at the same like they were all together. They were moving slow like 0.5m to 1m per second and at the end of the runway they just disappeared. We tried to film but the cellphones couldn't capture it. It was clear sky and couldn't find any explanation for that, we were part of the air force security so there was no experiments or any other thing going on. And the runway is only use for the new pilots to train.

I would like to share my experience that took place last November 14 close to 6pm, in Figueira da Foz, Portugal.

What I saw is similar to the image (of three lights forming a triangle) that brought me to your site.

Me and my 6 years hold son were on the porch and he referred me three stars, counting them, and immediately afterwards was going to start adjective them with the names of our dogs who have died, when it began to disappear one after another and finally another, disappearing entirely, leaving me and my son to look at each other because the stars had disappeared.

They were therefore three points of light that formed a triangle and without moving, disappeared one by one.

I wonder if there was some more reports and also would like to know if I am before observation of a natural phenomenon or else do not know yet explain.

Tonight, I was arriving home from my night shift, and I saw a shape of a pentagon with lots of lights emitting strong beams.

There where six lights that after each beam would stay stronger then the others, making the Pentagon shape.

I have seen alot but nothing like this.

Bright led like object, straight path, pulsated and changed direction in a 180º V shape movement, left quick trail.

It was around 3.57AM Europe GMT time when looking to the general sky scenery something caught my eye aproaching from my right to my left POV.

It was VERY fast when compared to the size or a airplane, around 10x the size of a A320 following a domestic path, this when looking at the same supposed distance/height, a height where you can clearly distinguish the winglets/ tail lights. Compared to a star which is only a small dot it would be roughly around 100x's the size, alot brighter! Regarding the brightness: this object was very bright, enough to made me turn my head and aknowledge it's presence. It made a small straight path horizontally, this while getting brighter. Just imagine 1 (one) true white led of a flashlight, now put it in a dark room, make a small path with your hand holding the flashlight and you have a rough idea.

Then, the most impressive thing about this sight, it pulsated for about 1 second, and it switched direction in a rigid "V" shaped maneuver and it left a trail in the sky for about 1 second that quick disapeared while bliking the eye. The pulse was obvious, as also was the trail. It was basically like the Entreprise warming up and going to Warp Speed in the well known movie. But alot more distance in this one.

No idea of the origin, who made etc. Just clearly something not natural, like the shooting star that preceeded it around 4m. The type of light, movement nature (something not being propeled with fuel combustion engines, much more smoother), the relative velocity of the path in the sky and way it went to "warp" in a V-shaped 180º change of direction.... just unbelieveble.

Also, is anyone is closer to this it would be blind looking at it. This was pure 7000K white, very homogeneous/soft but also solid light there!

40 small illuminated craft seen flying across river in Lisbon

I have not reported this to anybody else. I am a retired (30 yr) Met Police Officer (UK). My wife and 2 friends were walking along the river in Lisbon, on the north side, (approx opposite the huge Statue to Christ). An elderly man who was clearly fishing was pointing at the sky excitedly. saying "the Portuguese airforce just went that way, they are bombing Syria". We all laughed at him. I noted that a few other strangers had stopped because he was so exciteable, and I said to them (they were Dutch or German), "He has had a bit too much aguadente". Then 5 minutes later, after we had moved on about 50 yards, I saw something I wish I had never seen. I would rather not have seen it. About 1000 to 2000 feet up, and maybe 3 to 5 thousand feet away, were about 40 "craft" (my friend thinks 60) .. diamond shaped with white lights around the edges. They were "flying" no noise, from my right to left. I saw purple and green in the! middle of one or two of them. The others say they cannot recall that. Our two friends are responsible adults who live in the USA (details supplied if requested). Some of the craft hovered in one position. Others jerked down and upwards. I joked to my friend, "are we being invaded". But truthfully,we cannot think of an explanation. We thought maybe they were some kind of "projection" by a prangster, but there was too much up and down movenent of some of these, while others remained on course, and the area covered was too big for a projection. I know you are going to think I have been drinking! (any lie detector would show that this is a true account). Like I said, I wish I had never seen it. And we watched them all fly over the river and disappear into clouds. I swear I saw the rear of the craft.. there was a double dimension to this. How big were they? Because of the distance, I would say, maybe as large as an estate car. If you have any questions for me, please contact me. I will tell you more, and who we are, if you wish. We did have phones/cameras with us.. but each one of us was awe struck, and didn't talk to each other about taking a photograph, so we didn't photograph this, which I now regret. And because of that fact, we may not be believed. I have googled "UFOs over Lisbon", and this appears not to have been reported. There was a young couple standing just a couple of feet behind us, and they did not photograph it either.. they seemed equally bemused. I am open to any logical suggestion as to what this was ... "please". My friend's wife said, "It must have been drones".. but there was "no noise", they were all illuminated. And besides, doesn't one "drone" cost millions... so 60 of them... in close proximity... I do not think so. I saw an aircraft approaching Lisbon airport travelling from left to right... These things did not move like any aircraft I ever saw.... It is all bizarre !!!! The night was clear and crisp. I looked at my w! atch.. it was 2230 hrs.

I have just realized that your centre is in the USA... (does that matter??).. Our two friends, are US citizens, and later, perhaps you could speak to them...

My name is Sérgio and I live in Portugal. This photograph was taken in 2014 in Vila Nova de Gaia, a city in northern Portugal. To be honest I had completely forgotten about this sighting and that I had a photograph like this. Why now? Because I was looking for an old email and discovered that I had reported the sighting to a Portuguese association that studies the UFO phenomenon and that email was completely ignored. I received no response. But I can guarantee that I used my cell phone to take this photo and that (according to what I sent in that email) I was with a co-worker when it happened and that she also thought it could be a UFO. There was a really big party in town with a lot of people and music.

One man was staring at the sky and tried to take pictures of what he saw.

I looked too and I saw a bunch of lights high in the sky but under the tiny clouds.

There were about 50 little lights in a formation like an old kite: a diamond and a tail. The object(s) was moving slowly over the Porto bridge to the east.

The lights were flashing alternatively.

It could have been an attraction for the event taking place in Porto ... something like a giant kite attached to a plane ... but there was no plane to be seen or heard ...

This site lies in a straight line 1 Kilómetro the nearest town: Vila Nova da Rainha Atmospheric conditions: Partly cloudy (An observer who met on the ground and taking into account the whole sky that is possible to observe, I'd say +/- 15 to 20% of this space, would be cloudy).

Duration observation:  + - 2 minutes Size Subject: Slightly smaller than the size of a dime currency (Euro) viewed from the ground. We estimate that the object is not found over 2,000 meters

Description: On June 21, 2014, 07:03 minutes, I was driving on the A1 (Main Highway Portuguese in the south/north direction), when I observed an object oval in shape and dark gray color. The property remained subject during the period in which realized its presence, I noticed that would have a rotational movement (clockwise) on its main axis, for when the sun's rays focussed on the underside of the object noticed a slight moving aura ...

The UFO found himself next to a cloud ending slightly beak, which came not to be covered by it. Suddenly the object began a movement hyper fast in the northwest direction. During the observation and face started to move, expect to see have seen ojecto enter the cloud, and then out of the other side quickly, but this did not happen ... he disappeared completely within the cloud. The object was metallic appearance, gray in color, has never issued any sound or stationary, nor when you started the movement.

Note: I served the Portuguese Air Force for 36 years, I have the exact notion of what are fixed-wing aircraft or mobile, I know their noise, the ascending or descending movements, speeds, the usual or unexpected behavior ...

Another curious aspect is the location of the place of observation. Straight local line is the 5 Kilometers of the former Air Base 2 Ota, where pilots of the Portuguese Air Force reported observations of unidentified flying objects, is an area that particularly already consider as a Hotspot, as this this subject it concerns.

Disk lifted off vertically from top of hill, stopped and hovered over my neighborhood then stopped directly above my backyard

The day that changed my life.

This experience happened in 2013 which is quite a while ago and my time recollections and some specifics could be a bit off but I still remember the experience as if it happened yesterday. The whole experience lasted for approximately 15 minutes.

On the 23rd of January 2013, on a somewhat cloudy day with intermittent light rain, at around 7:30 pm I had the most incredible experience of my entire life that really changed me. I never saw the world the same way after this.

I was coming home from school. I got off the bus stop and started walking - it takes me about 5 mins walking from the bus stop to my house.

I start walking and then I reach the end of this road and have to go down a somewhat steep road. As I approach this place with a few buildings, I look to my left and look toward the hills - as I would everyday, just cause I love the hills.

I looked and I immediately noticed this bright light light up on top of the hill. It looked like a lamp post was lit up there on the mountain top which I thought was weird.

It was yellowish/orange in color. I continue walking, turn left to go down the road and this light starts ascending, like vertically ascending, it looked like CGI, like a scene straight out of a sci-fi and I just stopped, shocked, I actually thought to myself "Is this happening? This can't be real, it can't be" then when noticed the disk shape… At this point I'm frozen and just stop looking at it completely shocked.

So then I kind of snapped out of it and started rushing down the street, almost running because there's a point in this road where there are houses on the left and they were blocking the thing in the sky, I vaguely remember someone going by me, a woman going up the road and for a split second as I looked at her I thought "Are you seeing this? Why aren't you looking?" as I kind of hesitantly raised my hand to tell her , but was so shaken, that I just kept going to get down there so I could see it again.

When I passed the houses to my left passed I could see it again and it's still going up, in a somewhat slow way, and as I get down on the intersection I stopped in awe looking at this thing, as it passed throught a cloud and watched the cloud brighten as the object passed through it.

It was so beautiful, a perfect disk, from that point of view I could only see its side and bottom. It was so bright. I had never seen that kind of brightness, I can't explain it, and as the object got closer I noticed the surface it was this molten metal/lava-like material, really weird that's the only way I can explain it, and it had these dark spots like when you look at pictures of the sun and it has those dark spots.

It then continued ascending and then it slightly stopped, and kind of tilted towards my direction and started moving toward my location, at this port I could see its top, it was was same, and because it was even closer I could see movement on the surface, like the it really was lava or something moving and along the sides it had these lighter bars, almost like glass against this lava surface, they were whiter in comparison to the rest of the craft.

Suddenly and for the first time since seeing this thing, I thought about my phone, and immediately upon touching my pocket I remembered that I have hardly any battery left, my phone was a Samsung phone from like 2012 or something and it had this setting where the camera app wouldn't work if the battery was below a certain percentage. I think it was 15% or so at the time.

But I still tried I opened the camera app and I remember the app actually opening and I did see the object on the camera but like a second later a warning showed up saying that the battery was low and it automatically closed.

I was so frustrated but at the same time I was like "Oh well fuck it I want to see this thing" and just put the phone back into my pocket. The people who say "Why don't we have more UFO videos out there" or "If I saw a ufo I would immediately reach out for my phone and take a picture" need to understand that shock has has lot to do with many experiences. I'm telling you from personal experience it's not like that because you do get shocked at least I did I don't know what other people's reaction would be if they ever saw something like I did but when I saw it I was so shaken by it that all I wanted was to look at it. I was shocked from beginning to end. Reaching for my phone wasn't my first thought at all, only after a good couple minutes and then I was so frustrated about not being able to take a picture. I actually threw the phone away a couple weeks after because I was so mad at it for failing me that day.

Anyhow, so I continued looking at this disk, it stopped and started moving right almost parallel to to road I had to take to go home. So I start running because after I realized that I couldn't take a picture I was like "OK then I need to get home and call my mom and whoever is at home to see this thing" so I started running and as I'm running this thing is like going parallel with me I'm looking to my left and I see it in between the houses and then I get to a field and I see it very close still moving right but relatively high still, not close to the houses.

Then I turn and keep pacing looking at it. Then there's two houses blocking it and I look in between them and then finally I get home and call mom, "Come out! Look at this, there's a disk, a ufo, come grandpa come out and see this'' and then I went straight into my room because my room has a window that's directed to the side where I saw the ufo outside I thought that I'd be able to see it given the position it was at outside. I look out the window and I see nothing and then I hear my mom shouting "It's here it's here, I see it! Come out!" and I go out immediately and this thing is now stopped, just hovering right above my backyard.

I would estimate it was approximately 50 m above my backyard, very close and this thing was huge I would estimate it to be like 20 or 30 m in diameter or something it was big really big but the weirdest thing was when I went outside after my mom called me the disk wasn't "bright" anymore it had "turned off its light", the surface light was gone it was just black. There was only this black mass in the sky and that's what my mom was seeing I told her how it was before I got inside, and we just stopped there looking at it just in silence looking at this black mass in in sky, clearly visible against the lighter gray clouds, suddenly to our amazement it started flashing lights violently underneath, like Christmas lights but a really fast flashing, multiple colors in small lights all throughout the bottom surface of the craft.

My mom was immediately like "Take a picture or something" and I told her real fast why I couldn't and then she went "What is that? That can't be a plane right? It can't be a plane right?" then I remember my mom saying "it would be great if we had something to film this thing with" and I was like "Yeah I know we could have an amazing video". Her phone didn't even have a camera. We didn't have a lot back then, we were and still kind of are a poor family, so there was no other chance. Plus there was no one outside, it was a cold day and at that time no one was really around. Except for that woman I passed coming down that initial road.

We watched this object flashing for about I would estimated like a good minute and a half and then it stopped flashing and went back to being a black mass in the sky again. Then it started to slowly ascend until it hid behind the clouds and we couldn't see it anymore and we were just just like in silence for a few seconds.

And if this whole experience wasn't weird enough I immediately went up to my grandpa's house and I realized that he hadn't come outside. I was like "Why didn't you come outside and he was like "Well because I've already seen those things many times" and I was like "What do you mean?" and then he starts telling me about a few "disks" he has seen, especially about one day when he says he saw a metallic disk on the ground right across the street, there used to be be field there, now it's all houses, and he says when he saw it he ran out towards it to try to get close and he says it just vanished right before he got too close to it. He said it just "disappeared in from of me like magic". He even made a quick drawing of the object, which I no longer have. He passed away 4 years ago.

I asked my grandpa why he never told me about UFO's and he said something along the lines of "I don't wanna be out there saying I saw this or that, people are gonna think I'm crazy".

This experience changed me. I never looked at the world the same way as I had before.

I'm sorry for making this text too long but I really had to put all of it in here, it's not an account that can be shortened because it was massive. I feel pretty lucky to have seen such a thing, but eternally cursed to live with the uncertainty of what I experienced and also to live with constant ridicule from even close friends.

This changes us, especially my experience which was for me, unequivocal evidence for something bigger than us.

Boomerang shaped object or light traveling extremely fast in Lisbon, Portugal.

At aprox. 1:04 AM, Lisbon time, GMT+0, i was going back home in my car after leaving my girlfriend at her house. When i was passing through a dark road, which i pass everyday for the past 6 years, i noticed something in the sky. It looked like a spotlight, but boomerang shaped, it was going fast, like some kind of light was being projected in the sky. The sky was cloudy, so it really looked like a light projection, either from bellow the clouds or above them.

I didn't pay much attention to it as i thought it was a reflex or something like that. However after 50-100 meters i saw it again, this time going on the opposite direction (from right to left) with the pointy part of the boomerang always facing the direction the object/light was taking.

I started to look at the sky to check exactly what it was. I didn't see it for a while, but then saw it again and again. I saw it around 6 times, being the last one near a roundabout, aprox. 300-400 meters from when i saw it the first time. Most of the times it was going from left to right but i saw it at least twice going from right to left.

The light was traveling extremely fast and going on both directions randomly. The size of the object was like a big sized plane at the minimum altitude. However i didn't hear any sound.

coordinates of observation point N39º W9.4ª time of event: about 21h50 GMT event duration: less than 1 minute was watching and admiring the moon located above the horizon line and the night sky, the weather was clear.

One "star" called my attention due to its brightness (located maybe 30º above the moon), I tried to focus on it when suddenly it became much more brighter and brighter (maybe 1 or 2 sec event) and it started moving with an incredible speed, loosing its brightness into space I suppose, till I loose its sight (10 - 15 sec event).

Been trying to rationalize and only explanation I can find it had to be a UFO.

Big object for 3 minutes moving up and down and spining slow. Take some pictures.

Watching the moon when something big come across the sky, about 1 or 2 Km from us.

My brother went inside the house to bring my camera when it disappears... 2 min later it appear again and i start to take some pictures, it was very difficult because that thing doesn't have much light, i supposed the only light come from reflections, so, it was very difficult to focus, but there is 3 or 4 that are nice.

It doesn´t move right and left, just up and down as do a little spin. It looks like it have some kind of darkest area in the middle.

We are awake in that street until 4 A.M., just to see if it come again, and since there we come to the same place every day, unfortunately nothing...

There are any report that looks like this one? I wish i can see it again, because now i have my HD camera all the time with me.

Hello,

This is my first report of Ufo sighting.

I am an amateur photographer and usually after dinner when the sun is going down, I go out and take some pictures.

It was late in the afternoon, about 19:30 when I started the session, finishing an hour later (20:30). The photo that I sent was took in during that time.

When I finish my sessions, I usually edit my photos in Photoshop (ajusting contrast, vibrance, clarity... all these are made in the .RAW format, the format of 1 of the file, the other 2 are in JPEG) The Raw format helps by giving the user a lot more of data from the photo.

The object appears above the Sun as a disk shape, doesn't look like a cloud or bird.

Below that same object there is another one, a sphere shape object also unidentified, there is a possibility that this second one might be a wheather baloon.

A strange flying object almost crash into my car

I saw something, but I’m a little scared. I couldn’t tell this to my wife, because I know she would believe in me and think that I really saw a UFO. I don´t believe in aliens or things related to those stories, but this experience was too much for me. I hope you can help me understand what I saw. I was driving home this morning from work (I work at night) in my old Ford Orion and suddently something came in my direction. First, I thought it was an uncontrolled car comming over me and, to avoid an imminent crash, I turned the steering wheel to the right side of the road and stopped. It wasn´t another car. The object stopped at my left side. That thing had almost 8m long in a metallic blue color, with a damn shape I really can´t describe. Probably 20 or 30 seconds after we stopped, that object turned in to an absolutely transparent shape and lift off slowly to the air. I step of the car, look up and about 10 or 15 m over me came another object like the firs! t one with the same size and shape and disappeared at low speed going to North. I didn´t hear any strange sounds or saw strange lights. The only thing I felt was some strange wind, I guess, and a very strange sensation of relax. Please, I would like to know if some one can try to give an answer. Thanks and sorry for the bad english.

Saw a light that looked like a satellite but then expanded and shot off like a bullet

My friend and I were skywatching while on holiday on Graciosa island in the Azores. We had been watching satellites and shooting stars going over for 10 nights, so like most people, we are familiar with those.

But then we saw a light traveling from our left to right way up, and it looked like a satellite. But after a few seconds, it began to expand and grow brighter, and we both had the strangest feeling that it was looking at us. After a few moments it shrank back down to its normal size and luminosity while continuing its journey across the night sky. Then after a few more seconds, it began to get bigger and brighter once more, before shooting off like a bullet across the sky, leaving an enormous streak of light in its wake.

It begin when i was 15 years old, i only remember falling a sleep and waking up with no memory what so ever, which is weird because the same thing happen when i was 5, anyway woke with no memory, a completely broken nose where im sure there is nanotecnology implant on me, on my hands i can no longer bend all my fingers, on my chest, im always spitting thick saliva, and i think my parents know about the existence of the presence of the shadow people who know extraterrestrials exist and have acess to there tecnology. A 15 year old sees a small hovering cylinder in the Azores, Portugal.

I was aware of a faint pulsing sound which was keeping me from getting to sleep. This pulsing had been going on for about 7 minutes, so I decided to have a look out of my bedroom window to see what was causing this sound. I looked out, and as we live in a small village with no street lights it was hard to see. The bungalow opposite us has a 40 feet high water tower behind its garden, and I noticed a small 'trash can' sized cylinder slowly moving up and down over it. It was hard to see what color it was, but it was light, maybe white or a pale gray. It had a domed roof. I was able to look at it for a minute or so before it quickly headed west and gained height. The pulsing stopped when it left. My parents laughed when I told them and said it was probably a helicopter (my dad used to fly Sea Kings for the RCAF), but I know it was too small and quiet to be a heli. Another thing I noticed was that it left a smell of burnt rubber. 100% sure it wasn't a helicopter.

strange turquoise light over Portugal sea on sunday night.

On 22MAR09, around the 2245 GMT, Sintra - Portugal, I was on my backyard watching the sky over the sea. Lots of commercial planes flew that time and we are able to see it. Then I saw some strange light turquoise with a similar oval shape, moving too fast and making strange trajectories. I thought that could be military airplanes, since I live near the air force academy. But then I saw something real strange, the light had become stationary about 15 seconds, and then I make some things real strange. First I had make it circular maneuvers and the I saw the light flipping several times and then a real big noise, like the plane breaking the sound barrier. And the UFO just vanished in black sky. The UFO could not be very high, because has clowns in that night. Normal the commercial planes I can see the shape, even some times I can see what company they belong. This was strange. Too bad I didn’t have any recording machine available at that time it would be interesting. Any way I saw films about some maneuvers that modern aircraft can do, but Portugal doesn’t have that planes, the only modern planes they have is the F-16 and Dassault Alpha-Jet.

Very Bright yellow light high in the sky in Algarve

Me and my girl friend left our house in Carvoeiro Algarve at approx 21.30. The first thing we noticed in the sky was a bright pinpoint of light much brighter than a star, it was far away and I assumed it was Venus but it troubled me because I have never seen Venus so bright. We both looked at it during our walk for about 10 minutes. We made several tests to see if there was any movement, making a comparison with nearby stars. It was stationary. It was so bright that it gave a star burst effect and it was difficult to eliminate the star burst effect to ascertain just what it was.

We both agreed it was not round but elongated, we continued our walk to a nearby hotel. Buildings began to interfere with our view of the object, at this point we made a decision to continue to the hotel with the hope that we could view it from the rear of the hotel, as it turned out we couldn't, again it was obscured by buildings.

We stayed in the hotel for about 1 hour, when we returned to the last siting position it was gone. There was no trace of it anywhere in the area of the sky where it was, this object was not an aircraft as there was no flashing lights just a very bright, yellowish, stable, elongated light, approx 4 times the brightness of Venus on a good night.

Two orange balls dancing playfully in the sky and travelling at great speed

Sighting: 3.40am 4 August 2008 Algarve, Portugal I was lying in my garden, out for some fresh air as I was unable to sleep due to the heat. I was just looking at the sky and the stars. It was a very clear night and I saw several shooting stars.

Then suddenly (at 3.40am) two orange coloured lights/balls appeared in the sky above me, travelling southwards. They were side by side and seemed to be dancing and playfully side stepping each other. They travelled much faster than any aircraft I have ever seen, though it was hard to gauge how high up they were.

They were definitely not airplanes. There were no trails, just round objects. As they flew over towards the ocean they just disappeared all of a sudden.

I was left feeling very emotional as I was convinced I had just seen a UFO.

I stayed there for a whole hour fixated and hoping to see more, but that was it. I shall definitely be looking out for more of the same. It was so exciting.

Needless to say, no one believes me. I am just hoping to hear of someone else who saw what I did.

Unknown object or craft seen mid-Atlantic over the Azores

The unknown object seen was viewed during a sequences of exposures taken with an Olympus E-330 whilst photographing a well known tourist attraction namely "Ponta de Castelo Branco" (White Castle Point)on the island of Faial in the Azores. The technique being used which captured the unknown object was HDR (High Dynamic Range)and a series of shots were taken over a periof of circa 10 seconds. The object appeared in only one frame (with said frame,the preceding and following frames being shot on a period of a maximum of approximately 4 seconds). The single object was similar in shape to the space shuttle albeit much more streamlined like a nose cone of a rocket and appeared to have no defined detail other than what appeared to be a wing and curved elements at the rear of the object. The object appeared to be travelling from left to right and seemed to be light coloured, perhaps white.The photograph is available (as are the precedinhg and following shots taken) for review if so desired.

red light crossing the sky on the shoreline

I had just returned to my house from walking my dog on the beach when I noticed a red light above my house. So I decided to go up to the balcony, and then that's when I realized the light was crossing the sky, from north to south, on the shoreline, completely silent.

My house is about 250 meters (273 yards) from the shore.

This was not a red light from an airplane's navigation lights.

This red light would get very intense and then would grow dimmer but wouldn't entirely disappear, unlike an airplane's red navigation light which basically seem to blink.

This was not an airplane, I'm very certain of that. Planes crossing the Atlantic, arriving at Lisbon's International Airport usually do their approach exactly over the area where I live so I'm very used to watching them and I recognize their navigation lights.

I can say for certain that it wasn't a (conventional) plane because the light was completely different, it was much lower than a plane, and it crossed the sky alot quicker than a plane, as it completely disappeared from my sight in about 1-2 minutes.

At the time of the sighting there wes a civilian plane on the sky, so besides the obvious differences I also had real time comparison with an actual plane.

I called the Portuguese Air Force 30 minutes after the sighting and told them what I had seen, and they were very helpful and asked me the (I assume) usual questions: estimated altitude of the object, duration of the sighting, etc. and told me they would get back to me.

They did, 10 minutes after that, and the person told me he had contacted civilian and military airtraffic controllers and they didn't saw anything on radar.

I'm sorry I didn't took any pictures or recorded the sighting, but even if I had a camera with me, I don't think I would have anyway, since it didn't even crossed my mind long after the sighting was done. I was just mind blown looking at it.

UFO unvisible to naked you caught on high exposure photo.

Beautiful night. I was taking night photos with my hi-end camera for use in a poster. I took some photos with extra high exposure time and ended up getting some flying objects not visible at naked eye (multiple shapes). Maybe they were invisible and got caught only because of the extreme exposure time. I don't know. It can also be a camera's fault, but is very unlikely because this is a high precision camera and only some regions of the sky show this thing. I have hi-res photos if you care to take a look.

The colour we believe it was like steel, grey to blue tone.It was not the first time.In 1992 did happen, during a draw period. At the the end of the seeings it started raining during weeks.Curiously we're now living another draw in the region!

My dad have noticed a Y-shape light effect over the valley. I've made a few shots of it but unfortunately there's no option for direct upload a pic on this website (gotta use an email) so I have to apologize for my lame English of my explanation.

In a matter of fact, as it's written above, the were a Y-shape 2 beams of light convirging to a ground and a light from a bottom.

Well, I'm not really sure it was a UFO because the area where the light from bottom was seen is a suburbs of the city of Coimbra so I guess it might be just a weird optical effect because there were heavy clouds.

At 38.77N 27,01W I was driving on the Lages Air Force Bace, Joint Portuguese, USAF, I noticed a very bright sphere at approx 140 degrees ( runway 14/32 ) It was in close proximity to the eastern sunrise. Can not express distance because of the dense moisture field at the lower levels, but think it was distant.Was not an aircraft as the brilliance was not a reflection from the sun and did not have have an apparent movemement. Had little time to observe, but as a meteorologist, I alwaws look up and can descern movement. Am not a ufo type, but have observed one other visual anomaly here.The brilliance was of another color of the sun, wave length, definitely was not a reflection of an aircraft, extremely white. Was very,very bright. Suggest you query the USAF Radar at this site.

Triangle shaped lights disapeard on the sky

I was driving on a dense forest zone, and when i look up, i saw 3 bright points. I am a amator astronomer, and i was intrigged by the lights. I didn't knew any stellar objects in that zone of the sky, and they were too bright to be stars. I kept looking, and i saw that the lights were conected to each other by light, and saw the lights moving away in the sky (just imagine when you see a plane taking off from behind - it gets smaller and smaller) so did the lights, smaller and closer to each other, loosing intensity and becoming red - probably because of our atmosfere. The size i cannot tell exactly, but from the aceleration vs distance vs aparent size, i would say it had the size of about half a mile across the left and right lights (yes, THAT BIG).

My wife witnessed everything. The shape of the lights (remember, it was a REALY dark night, so i could only see the lights, not any aircraft) were like a triangle pointing down (3 lights): 2 on top and one in the middle of the 2, but slightly below, connected by a thin light to each other (forming a V).

When i was arriving home at yesterday night at 21:10 (local time ) i see a very big object ,it seems blue and white at the same time ,near my house , the object was falling from the sky very fast, he was falling from left to the right in the sky,my first idea was that it was a plain that will crash in the ground but then when he was very close to the ground (aprox 100m he reduces the velocity and desapear behind the trees ,then i wait for the noise, because i think that he would crash or maby fly up again . but i whait and have seen him anymore . One other thing was that i can´t hear any sound from him anytime .

many lights moving, one at a time in many directions

I was with two friends, on the top of a hill and we we're having a picknick when one of them told us to look at the sky, we saw a small light, very high in the sky (appeared to be on the outter side of the atmosfere) and it was moving at a moderate speed, it changed direction about 4 times and then the light dimmed and it disappeared. we kept looking up and after some minutes we saw another similar light moving towards the opposite direction, then we saw another one in the same direction as the first, we saw about 10 to 15 lights moving in the sky in 4 different directions. Some kept a stable light while others dimmed it and one was blinking. An interesting detail, that might have been a coincidence is that I remembered to get my camera from the car right before the sightings (to prevent any robery), I tried to film 2 of the sightings and just as I pointed the camera the lights dimmed imediately, so I put it away.

Transparent triangle with bright light follwed by shaft of light to the sky.

We were on holiday in the Algarve, Portugal. It was just after 11pm on 2nd June 2004. My wife, me and our three children were walking around the garden at the rented villa when my son and I spotted a very large transparent triangle in the sky. We believe it came from the north and was heading north-west. It appeared to travel in a straight line for 2-3mins with changes in speed. It was totally silent. The triangle was travelling on it's side with the main point facing 9 O'clock. Within the main point was a piercing white circular light. When the triangle faded out of sight to the west, we were drawn to the north again where we saw a huge white shaft of light on the horizon which started from the ground and reached as high as you could see. A friend in Southampton, England confirmed the same sighting by mobile two days later. The locals and radio were talking about the sighting for the next few days. The date and time are accurate. The strange thing is that we saw a fighter jet earlier that afternoon on the same flight path. At all times the skies were crystal clear.

LISBON (AFP) - The Portuguese airforce has been on alert since late Tuesday, when several authorities and witnesses reported seeing a luminous unidentified flying object.

AFP/File Photo "Military radar surveillance has been increased and F16 planes are ready for take-off," tabloid daily Correio da Manha reported Thursday.

It said the Portuguese civil protection service had received scores of calls from people who reported briefly seeing a silent, luminous object in the sky on Tuesday night, giving off white smoke.

Air force spokesman Colonel Carlos Barbosa confirmed to Lusa news agency that military radars had detected "a target... that was not identified as a plane" for two or three minutes.

The national air traffic control authority, Navegacao Aerea de Portugal (NAV), also confirmed a UFO had been spotted in the north and south of the country just before midnight on Tuesday.

"The control tower in Oporto (north) detected a flying object which had been observed 25 minutes earlier in Montijo and Beja (south)," NAV spokesman Paulo Lagarto said.

The authorities were unable to say what the mysterious object was.

But Jose Fernando Monteiro, a geology researcher at Lisbon's science university, said he had consulted US air defence officials and the UFO could not have been a meteorite.

If it had been a meteorite it would have travelled much faster and made a lot of noise, Monteiro told Correio da Manha and Lusa.

The European Space Agency said the UFO was not a falling satellite either and the Portuguese weather service said there was no meteorological explanation for the phenomenon.

The only person to come up with a possible explanation was astronomist Jose Matos, who said the UFO might have been an Iridium telecommunications satellite.

"These satellites orbit at a height of about 780 kilometres (490 miles). They each have three antennae, which are polished like mirrors and reflect the light of the sun," he told the media.

It was around 23:15hrs I was observing the the sky,when sudently I saw what appear to be a comet with a long very bright conical tail.It was located aproximately NW and very high.Sudently it started moving very fast in zig-zags to SW with a redish point and it desapeared living the long bright tail behind for a few minutes.

It was not a comet,It was not a meteorite,it was not space debris, because debris or meteorites don't circle and don't stop in the air.

What could it be? Note that this UFO was seen in various places in Portugal and was on TV and all the press but no reason was given for this UFO.

Bright white light moving at light speed with comet like tail, leaving cone shaped trail at source.

The object was a bright light source like a helicopter landing light with a large and downwardly expanding cone of brightness which looked like a searchlight but did not reach to the ground. I guessed the source to be at about 1000m high. The object was silent throughout the period. I called my wife who was outside at the house and she saw this and the following. The light source rapidly moved outwards from the initial point. It had a definite and prominent tail as it appearded to accelerate away, moving at "light" speed, and disappearing in 8-10 seconds into space about half way between Jupiter and the Big Dipper, to the west of us. Meanwhile the cone of "gas-light" was disapating in the light easterly wind during the remaining 8-9 minutes. The sky was completely clear with a full moon. Many dozens reported the light fenomenon throughout Portugal.

20 People saw a UFO for 500 km in Portugal

People saw a big light in the horizon, from south to north of Portugal. Light phenomenon in Portugal sky! Seen by thousands of people!

I don't know if you know already about it but in June 1rst, 2004 every people in Portugal could see a light in the sky... Some people film it, other take a photo from it... Some radars, not all of them, from AFBs localized in the south capted it...

The notice can be seen in http://www.rtp.pt/index.php?article=110898&visual=5 (it is in portuguese) and the european space station denies that can be a satellite or atmospheric/astronomic phenomenon but cannot give an explanation for it... The wird of all this is that some scientist came to the tv and said, on june 2nd that it was certainly a meteorological satellite, but in june 3rd they said it was "space trash"!!! Well, people are confused and don't know in what to believe... Maybe in a few days they give a correct explanation but if they don't do it I think me and all people from portugal saw a big and bright light surrounded by smoke on that night coming from out of space…

In the end of the fireworks i saw a small light in the sky

I spent the new years with my family in Madeira... I dont remmember if it was during the fire works or after, but like, about 0:05, I pointed to the sky, i pointed to something like an aeroplane, which was what we thought it was, i showed it to my cousins and my uncle. we looked at it... it disapeared in the fumes of the fire works... its was very far away- we could only see lights. after some mins or secs, it appears again, but going in the opposite direction- like going back from where it came from. It stoped in the air... then it went a bit down and continued to the direction and dissapeared in the fumes. some secs after it appeared again and this time, i stared at it, and i could see the triangle form, kind of an arrow, like this = ( > ) there were green lights on the back points and a wite one on the front (i cant remmember the light colours very well). then it dissapeared and apeared again in the "2nd" direction again. and dissapeared for good! it was awsome! i loved to see it closer

Happened in Bilbao 17:30 Saturday.

One craft flaying in right line, and at the same time, it was balanced on its axis about 45º aprox.

It was of form made oval with a species of wings behind I seen the craft about 15 min with prismaticos, eyeglasses, and its color was green very dark. The objet was moved at little speed, but a traffic helicopter arrived suddenly at the zone, and the craft flew hardly in seconds very high and disappeared of my vision.

I had never seen something like this.

Vasco da Gama Sight

As i was passing in Vasco da Gama Bridge at 23.35 aprox. going to work i notested a fluorescent green triangle upsidedown (base up) with a red light in its left top corner. i was suprised and keep driving and looking.. it was a strange color that green sort of a smoth fluorescent color. I was looking to it and looking for the road , and suddently another red light lighted in the right corner. it was strange. i look back to the road to make shure i wasent going against any other car, and look back to it. as i look i had a clear view of the all image, the triangle and the 2 lights, and then suddently it went like up.. a fast zapp and disapear. from the beggining the object was moving very slow for a diagonal trajectory, from righ to left up. i thought it was a plane...but no planes have they full body colored and the lights are red in one side and green in the other. i now this may sound strange, even i dont know what it its. i know one thing...the internet is full of lies...but believe if you want.. i just needed to report this. stay well all!

I was standing in my varanda smoking a cigarrete when, as usually, I looked at the sky to watch the stars. I was struck by a dim moving shape coming from my left (that is from north). Though this is a quite inhabited area, the sky was very bright and the stars quite visible. It was a chevron formed by several dim lights (10 more or less), just like stars, but with a litlle less brilliance, moving together towards south (in between the lights it was plain black). It just moved slowly, and calculating through the angular disposition of the chevron, it was high in the sky, more or less at the same altitude as cruising airline airplanes . Nevertheless it had none of the usual characteristics of an airplane (no red or white flickering lights, which I usually see either in low altitude during landing procedures in the nearby airport, or at high altitude since in Lisbon it appears to exist an important radio reference). I noticed, however, that one of the snmall lights got out of the formation and disapeared. That is to say that I've never seen nothing like it. Of course, it hadn´t any specularity. It continued to move slowly towards south (I thought to wake up my wife, but I knew that the shape would soon run out of view). And so it was, continuing to move southwards, till the cheveron lights disaparead due to the distance.No sound was heard. I wrote this description because it fits the report from Wisconsin the 5th September I've just read.

I work on the airport of faro,my job is to give ground asistence near the planes. I am shore that what I saw was not a plane. . .

Opaque spheres in Lisbon

Whilst doing some sight seeing of Lisbon we drove up to St. Georges hill located in the older area of Lisbon. Prior to reaching the actual top of the hill we stopped on the wat at a Mirador as views were quite amazing. As the international airport is located in the city of Lisbon itself we observed to out right a TAP airliner ascending however, we looked at each other not knowing whats was going on because on the region of 7 spheres began to follow the airplane, sort of greish-brownish in colour, opaque and perfect in diameter apprx. 5 mts judging by the size of the airplane's windows and these spheres. The event took apprx. 30 secs. All these spheres circled the plane in a playfull fashion from left to right going round the fuselage. Following this, the spheres in an organized fashion beagn to form in a straight line after each had circled the airplanes rear fuselage, then after formation took of upwards at high speed dissapearing behing the grey sky clouds as the plane took off, an airbus (smaller model). Funny thing is that we all rememberd and commented briefly but remained silent and no further comment was made but then, after a few months they all sort of forgotten the whole episode except me recalling the event time and time again trying to make sense of it. This is not my first experince and in additon to that I have also experienced outer body and seen the earth from above only to wakent feeling the most unexplainable happiness and fullfilment in my inner self.

A very large bowl-shaped UFO seen near a beach, with a blue light rouding it and making a humming noise...

I was at my beach house near Aveiro and I woke up. I saw a strange blued light coming from outside and I went to the dinning room to see what was making that light (the view from the room is a river that ends on the sea, at the other side of the house). I saw an enormous object over the river (about 15 meters large) that had the shape of a bowl turned upside down. It was dark silver and emited that blue light. The object was making a kind of humming noise. It stand over there about 25-30 minutes just as it was paralyzed and then it started moving not very fast to the sea. It was very close to the houses, so I could see it clearly.

I never told this to anyone till last week I was talking with some friends and two of them I don't knew before started telling that on August 2001 they were at a beach party in Aveiro and they saw exactly the same object coming from the river and passed over them till the sea where suddendly disappeared! As I told before they saw the same light but they didn't hear the humming noise.

I wasn't a person that used to believe on this kind of things, and in fact I didn't, but that day changed my way of thinking forever! I'll send a drawing and a map of the zone I hope it can help.

A strange spherical object with purple haze and trail/ tail was weaving in and out of the clouds and disappeared.

It was an overcast day, I was watching my friend’s baseball game when I looked up and saw an object weaving in and out of the clouds. The object was a spherical shape with a purple haze around it with a purple trail/ tail. The sphere looked like it was emitting electricity to the haze or the other way around. Then it returned into the cover of the clouds and I never saw it again. This occurred at Lajes Air Base on the island of Terceira in the Azores.

A very strong light, like the flash of a thunder, but with a specific form (oval) with 2 kilometers, apears in the sky for almost 4 minutes and a very strong noise was heard. Suddenly, the light disapears from the sky to a litle circle of light.But the noise didn´t disapear, it continues Then we felt something that seems to be a very strong earthquak, that we´ve felt by almost 3 minutes. In my house my family runs to the street to save themselves, from what seems to be a natural disaster. This "thing" has been seened and felted by enumerous people in a distance bethween 6 or 7 kilometers. Later, other people said that they have felt and seen this "thing" to. The object was hovering in one place and then it was gone

It was full moon middle august night, one of my cousins noticed something in the sky, to the left side of the moon but much lower. It was as big as a quarter and looked like a circle/saucer, it had many lights, a larger one in the center that was at least 1/5 the size of the whole craft and at least 10 other on the outline. The larger light was of a pale blue color, while the smaller ones appeared to be pale yellow.

The object was not directly above us, we were seeing it probably in a 45/50 degree angle.

During the period we were looking at it, which was about 2 minutes, the object was completely stable in that position. At all the time we were looking at it bottom. We shouted to relatives inside the house to come and see it, but no one answered. We ran inside the house to get them outside, that took about 1 minute, and when we returned outside there was nothing there anymore. No trail, no sound, absolutely nothing.

Star-like Light in the sky made 90 degree turns

I was on vacation with my family in central Portugal. My cousin and I and 2 female friends of ours went behind the town church in Gafanha da Boa-Hora (just south of Aveiro) and we sat there talking and taking in the night sky which was clear of city light and any kind of smog and so, one could see many, many stars. While we were looking up (we were not drunk or on any drugs), we noticed a light slowly moving across the sky which we had first thought was a star since it was of the same size and and a little brighter than one. This object then stopped and made a 90 degree turn and continued before stopping again and then making another 90 degree turn. All four of us witnessed it and were in awe. We quickly went through the possibilities: a star, an airplane, a satellite...but none of which would stop and make such turns. The object soon disappeared. We were freaked out by the event.

when i was 6 years old me and my cousin,of the same age,saw an object 10 meters up on the sky .

it was a clean night i was with my cousin on a bridge over douro river- north portugal - and i noticed him that the lights of a church were off. moments after this,i was looking to the river when he cried out and said ~to me to look at for sum to north. we both saw a big cigar, red with an orange aura, strong light, running from right to left in a right line . velocity about 30 km.h. the distance was about 600 meters. it desapear at our left side behind a litle mountain. we run but was impossible to catch the object. some years, someone i met, told me that someone at the other side of the river could see the object but in another perspective and i enderstood that it was not so cigar but a plate. a red one. i never talked to that person and i dont know who he(or she) is. but i remember the moment very clearlyand with a sensation of pleasure!

20 years ago my father saw 3 triangular shaped objects "dancing" in the sky above him.

It wasn't me who saw it but it was my father.

He was at the beach of Cascais, at night with some friends. He was lying on the sand looking at the sky. What he saw was quite fast; 3 triangular shaped objects above him.

They looked like they where made of stone and there were no lights on it. The only thing that happened was those 3 triangular objects "dance" with each other in the air/sky and then each one of them goes to 3 different sides. the moment my father said "hey guys look at this" they disapeared.

I'm sory I don't know the exact time

USS Scorpion sinking

I am submitting this in hope of garnering info for myself.

In June, 1968, aboard the US Navy ship Hyades (AF-28), we were notified that the USS Scorpion (nuclear sub) was overdue and the last known position report was in our area (just off the Azore Islands, Atlantic Ocean, known as the Atlantic Ridge area.)

We immediately commenced a search of the area, which for us lasted 3 days and nights. We were the first ship on station and searching.

The water depth averaged between 6,000-12,000 feet deep there, with undersea mountains in the 4,000-10,000 ft. range, I remember (fathometer readings).

On the second night of searching, an object was reflected in the searchlight (24" mercury arc light) I was on. (I was a signalman and my duty station was on the signal bridge running the light). As the ship turned toward the object, it went out of the "beam," and was lost due to darkness (it was a cloudy night with no moon or stars, pitch black).

The next day we were relieved on station by the rescue ships and continued on our way to the Sixth Fleet in the Med.

A few years later, I read about the aforementioned incident and that the object (which was lost in the beam) mysteriously lifted off the water and disappeared in the sky. Also, the sinking of the Scorpion has been attributed to the "Bermuda Triangle" curse.

Does anyone have any info regarding these allegations? I was involved in the actual incident and would like to hear any about any info suppossedly existing about this. I realize the time factor involved here, but it is something that has been of interest to me for many years and I have decided now to see if I could get any info it.

USO sighting near Azores following USS Scorpion sinking

This it to possibly confirm a report of the UFO/USO sighting of 05/??/68 in the vicinity of the Azores following the reported sinking of the U.S.S. Scorpion and subsequent search operation.

I was aboard the U.S.S Monrovia APA-31, which was in route to Norfolk, Va., from a six month deployment in the Mediterranean.

At approximately 9 PM a large submerged object was sighted on the starboard side, just aft of the stern. The object was an elongated ovoid in shape, luminescent orange in color, and appeared to have a translucent quality. The USO matched several course and speed changes, and rendered compass, radar, and radio equipment inoperable.

As quickly as the object seemed to have appeared, it disappeared.

The length of the sighting was approximately 90 minutes and was witnessed by 1100 members of the crew and a contingent of US Marines.

I was on board the USS Zellars DD777 and my ship departed April 4th 1968. My ship arrived in the Med. sea before the Sub USS Scorpion exploded and sank. The USS Monrovia was side tracked and participated in the search for the Scorpion.

There is still a lot of secrecy of how the sub sank. Maybe connected to the object that Monrovia crew members saw?

I thought this might be of some interest. Many things can be seen on the open sea.

I was 4 year old. The UFO was outside my house.

I was 4 years old. I remember lots of lights. A couple days later I was sleepwalking trying to leave the house. I could not reach the latch to go outside. My parents found me crying and took me back to bed. I had no access to books, tv's or even electricity. What such to this day was the lights and shape of the UFO. A dream? Or reality?

UFO and alien sighting in the Azores.

I'm 86 retired. One of the things on my bucket list is to disclose information about an UFO that was seen hovering over Lajes Air Base on Terceria, Island, Portuguese Azores.

I did not personally see it, but from my position in the overlooking Headquarters building, I and others saw 500 Navy personnel in a ceremonial formation on the tarmac suddenly break ranks pointing skyward. A scurry of activity followed.

As the Base information officer, I fired off a message to the Military Airlift Command. The reply was disappointing. I was told in no uncertain terms to keep the sighting quiet. I was successful. In the 60s UFO sightings occurred to the extent of interfering with the mission.

On December 17, 1969, the Secretary of the Air Force announced the termination of Project BLUE BOOK, the Air Force program for the investigation of UFOS.

From 1947 to 1969, a total of 12, 618 sightings were reported to Project BLUE BOOK. Of these 701 remain "Unidentified." The project was headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, whose personnel no longer receive, document or investigate UFO reports. My report, kept quiet, is not included.

I can recall that the only newspaper in Angra (CORREIO DOS ACORES) reported that two guards on duty at the highest point of the volcano island, a weather station, described their encounter with two aliens and their spaceship. The aliens appeared clad in silvery attire.

The guards said they were knocked unconscious by ray guns that streamed brilliant white beams. Otherwise, they were not hurt. The aliens were not diminutive, the guards said, but about 8 feet tall.

Investigators found clear indentations in the volcanic soil presumedly caused by the circular space craft.

I cannot vouch for the accuracy of my remembered descriptions. It was 51 years ago. The most expeditious source of accurate information is to contact the Angra newspaper. The story and perhaps follow-up information should be in their archives.

I found it intriguing that the Azorean waters is up to a thousand meters deep. Good place to hide. The fact that no other sightings were reported at the time in the vicinity of the remote Azorean Archipelago have caused me to wonder.

Radar Siting of UFOs off Azores from Aboard USS Albany GC10 in Early Fall 1965

UFO sighting aboard USS Albany GC10, United States Ship, Guided Missile Cruiser 10, commissioned in August 1963.

Date of Incident: 1965. Estimated late summer to early fall, it wasn’t cold. Weather decks were open (nice weather, calm water).

Location: East of the Azores

((initials deleted--witness)) was an Electronic Technician ET3R (Radar). BR did maintenance on all radar on the Albany including SPS30, SPS43, SPS39, SPS10, TACAN, and airborne early warning (AEW). The Albany is a heavy cruiser, not an air craft carrier, but it do air traffic control (hence the TACAN).

It was after dark, after 10:00pm "lights out." Not sure if it was 8pm to Midnight or Midnight to 4am watch.

Russian Bear aircraft had recently been seen in the area and the 6th fleet was on lookout for maneuvers involving Russian aircraft and trawlers (electronic spy boats disguised as fishing boats).

((initials deleted--witness)) and air traffic controllers were watching 3 bogies on radar, but had no visual contact. Bogies did not respond to any communication. They were following fleet at distance of 40-50 miles for over an hour at approximately the speed of the fleet.

Decision was made to scramble three jets, possibly F4 phantoms (BR is not sure). Jet pilots radioed back jet speed on the order of 1350 KTS. Jet pilots did not get visual on bogies. ((initials deleted)) could see bogies on SPS30 in height finding radar.

It was not normal to have air traffic controllers in CIC (Combat Information Center) at night. They were officers and would normally be asleep, but controllers did arrive due to unusual occurrence this night.

The Albany used SPA33 Plan Position Indicator display units for multiple radar systems on the Albany but this system did not link into other ships in the fleet. The important point being that a malfunction of the Albany’s radar system would not affect other ships.

The task force mission was to protect the air craft carrier. They were protecting from sub attacks.

The aircraft carrier also reported three bogies on their independent on-board radar.

Albany’s radars were set on sector scan to focus on bogies.

The jets reported over the radio that they had radar contact with bogies.

Jets never got closer than 20 miles (thus no visual?).

Jets move about 1/4 inch per radar sweep at 1350 knots. The bogies began to move away in approximately 3/4 inch jumps per sweep. Bogies maintained triangular formation. Bogies disappeared from radar within 7 sweeps. Jets were still visible on radar.

Officer of the watch was present talking the Albany’s air traffic controllers.

Jets still in flight broke off pursuit and turned back to the air craft carrier.

Radar went back to full 360 scan. Radar operators were to keep a lookout for similar aircraft/bogies.

The two air controllers (lieutenant two bars) smiled at each other and one turned to BR and said, "this incident never happened."
