I went out of the house in the afternoon to buy bread and saw a round disc moving quickly in the sky. I took out my phone to capture it, but the camera's focus blurred the image, and I couldn't get a clear shot.

Yesterday, as soon as I left the house, I looked up at the sky and saw something flying at an incredible speed. It wasn’t a civilian or military plane, and it seemed small compared to regular aircraft. I couldn’t capture it clearly, but I will send the photo and video, even though the camera and focus failed me, resulting in blurry footage.

Brightly lit rolling cloud - beam of light flying towards me. no other lights.

I work in southern Iraq. I am assigned to a small camp there as support for various Exxon Management personnel. First of all, let me tell you, I am a sceptic for any of this, but open minded. I have a an extreme level of competency and common sense. I am not easily fooled.

I don't remember exact dates, but it was about this time last year. I walked out of my modular building to got to dinner. It was dark out. When I turned to lock the door, I looked up to the west and noticed a bright object headed right towards us. It was up about 25-30 degree above horizon. There were no visible clouds in the sky. There were NO planes I could hear and NO plane lights visible in the sky.

The object immediately didn't feel right- I had a sense of dread in my gut because it was not anything recognizable. It was like a rolling white cloud with a bright white headlight beaming directly ahead of it. But it produced its own white cloud that was in front and around it rolling or billowing over as the object flew towards our camp.

I did no see any tail or wings. I did not see any tail or wing lights. This is part of why it seemed unearthly. It was actually frightening because it was headed down towards us about 1-2 miles away.

It was very distinct- meaning not fuzzy or unclear. It was clear and obvious, but not normal. (Made no sound at) all I was actually kind of afraid and began running to get help when another person walked by me outside and I said "look at that thing up there in the Sky" He is a engineer and he looked and said, "What is that?" Just then the light went out, but the cloud that was rolling in the sky kept moving and turned south. So now I was witnessing a white cloud about the size of a large aircraft moving across the sky with nothing around it. We could see the cloud do to to regional surface lighting. This cloud was about 500-1000 ft above the ground, moving about 100 miles/hr southwards. There was NO WIND and no other clouds in the vicinity. It was not normal. I was shaken.

I consider myself a smart guy, but this was unworldly. I told someone at dinner- a retired military guy here. I said "either I just saw a UFO, or the USA has some extremely advanced cloaking technology for their drones. He said nothing.

Tuesday, 14th of February 2017 Around 16:15 PM, my two young sons witnessed and captured a video of a possible UFOs.

It was 1 major teardrop shaped object with multiple spherical shining objects circling around it.

The objects were traveling in a relatively slow speed from southwest to northeast above Baghdad.

The sighting duration was about 15-20 minutes in total, but they managed to capture only the last 10 seconds before they disappear all of a sudden.

The Objects were emitting red lights with no sounds heard.

Mass UFO sighting my military personnel in Iraq.

While an infantryman in the United States Army, I was on a combat deployment to the Maysan province of southern Iraq. I do not remember the precise date, however, the incident in question happened during a counter IDF mission along the Iraq/Iran border at a time after midnight local time.

As a Humvee gunner, I was a part of a 3 vehicle convoy, consisting of two other gunner-mounted Humvees. After positioning out vehicles and going blackout, meaning we turned off our vehicles and any sources of light & mounted our infrared sights to our weapons and ACHs, we began our mission of being prepared to respond to any enemy IDF towards our forward operating base. This type of mission was typical of our overall mission while stationed at this FOB, and usually lasted between 2-3 hours. We were planning on holding position for 3 hours.

Shortly after blackout, I’m not positive exactly how long, but don’t believe it to be more than 20 minutes, I received communication via the headset radio from the forward most gunner, who was in front of my Humvee by a distance of 50 feet. The lead gunner asked me if I had a visual of an airborne vehicle at one o’clock of his position, at an angle of 45 degrees to the horizontal, and at an unknown distance but believed to located on the Iranian side of the border.

I lifted my helmet-mounted infrared and tried to acquire the target with the naked eye, figuring it would be easy to acquire with the naked eye. I could not locate it, which I communicated to the lead gunner. He then advised me to use my infrared.

After deploying my infrared, I acquired a single target that was clearly airborne and giving off a strong reading on the infrared, which to me meant it was either using some type of infrared light source, or was giving off heat.

After affirming target acquisition, I had a! short conversation with the lead gunner about what it could be. Considering the object’s slow movement, which seemed for the time being to be nearly or completely stationary, we speculated it to be a foreign helicopter, mainly because of the object’s position and our lack of knowledge of any friendly aircraft in the area. We continued to observe.

I could see that the object was clearly moving, although slightly in multiple directions. I would describe it as a very disturbed, very unstable, very erratic type movement that seemed almost magnetic in nature. Even though it seemed to be making constant, albeit very slight directional changes, it always returned to what appeared to be it’s original position.

Several minutes into observation, the object did appear to be closer than it originally appeared; now being visible at an angle closer to 55 degrees to the horizontal. The object appeared to move to this newly observed distance, which given the intense darkness and no visible landmarks with which to gauge a distance, it was hard to determine its distance from us. The object then seemed to hold position and become less erratic in it’s multidirectional movements.

After seeming to stabilize, the object then began to make a very distinct aerial movement that was an obvious, almost figure eight pattern, although not quite. Shortly after beginning this new movement pattern, the object seemingly seemed to divide into two separate objects. Once there were two objects the movement pattern changed from a figure eight to a slow, coordinated movement. They would start close together in a side-by-side position before moving away from each other a short distance before the left side object gained altitude, while in the same movement the right side object reduced altitude. They then followed the same movement in reverse until they were back to the side-by-side position. After returning the their starting position, they began the movement pattern yet again, this time both objects divided at the beginning of their movements, seeming to create two more objects. This is the only moment of the event that I recall anymore radio chatter.

The lead gunner radioed to me and said, “Are you seeing this?”. I simply replied, “I’m seeing it”. The now four aerial objects fell right into the pattern of movement, back and forth, each of which dividing again and again until, from my perspective, filled a quarter hemisphere of the night’s sky. At this point, there was an absolutely unknown number of the objects. It appeared to be in the hundreds. Their continuous and methodical movements seemed, from my perspective, to create a grid-like pattern in the sky. Each object following the grid lines forwards and backwards in their coordinated movements.

Once a quarter hemisphere of the night’s sky was completely filled with these dancing objects, they began to slowly fade. Very slowly and at the same time for each object, their light became less and less visible to us. The fading didn’t seem to take more than 3 minutes once it began before all objects were no longer visible. During the entire ordeal, not a single object broke formation nor had an irregular movement to the other objects. Including during the disappearing act.

After the objects completely disappeared, the NCO in charge of the mission was clearly spooked by the event as much as the rest of us, as he decided to return to base at that moment. Everyone else eagerly agreed after voicing our collective disbelief.

The sighting didn’t seem to last more than 20 minutes to any of us, though we were 40 minutes from our scheduled 3 hour mission timeline. Nobody voiced concern about it, but we were clearly missing well over and hour and a half of time. Our watches read the correct time, we just don’t remember getting to that time. Whether that time was indeed lost or we were all just so mesmerized by what was happening that we didn’t notice how much time was passing, I can’t be certain. All I can be certain of is that nobody that was a part of the mission was eager to speak of it, as it went unreported by the NCO and wasn’t spoken of again, even between those of us who were there.

As of writing this recounting, eight years after the fact, I’ve still not spoken to any of my fellow soldiers about the event, nor do I plan on it. At the time, everyone was clearly eager to forget it ever happened. I plan to respect that. However, I can speak for myself and I’ve been more and more eager over the years to speak about it. Still, even I haven’t spoken about to anyone other than my parents and one close friend of mine that is eager about the subject of UFOs and UFO sightings.

I will say now that I’ve grown increasingly interested into what exactly happened that night and have gone over it time and again in my head trying to make sense of it. Given the loss of time, I am worried that there’s more to the story than even I can recall.

The biggest reason for that worry comes from the emotional response I have to attempting to recount the event to someone. When trying to retell the story to my family and my closest friend, I became emotionally unstable. It was hard! for me to tell them what exactly happened without bringing myself to tears, as if the experience was indeed more traumatic than I remember.

Looking into the sky, while walking over to my vehicle I noticed a star that seemed to move. I stopped and asked my friend if he could see what I was looking at. He took a min sighed and looked at the object, and said "what is that?" I noticed then that the object was getting closer. The star object stopped and turned around I noticed then that It was not a star but a reflection of the lights around us. It was dark Diamond shaped and it was about 500 ft. verticle. Its edges glinted from the lights around us. It was a square or diamond shaped mirror that you could see through. The contours suggested that it was not flat but edged and not rounded. It shook dropped about 5-10 feet then shot in a western direction. When leaving the area it was almost impossible to see when it began to shake.

UFO Cut communications during combat situation then was fired upon.

UFO Combat Contact Date: October 15th 2009 @ 0300 in the morning.

Location: Al-Iskandariyah, Iraq Brief background of me at time of incident: I was a 11B (Infantry) RTO (Radio Transmitter Operator) Description of event: The night started out as a basic patrol from FOB (Forward Operating Base) Chosen. The base was located at the Al-Iskandariyah power station. Everything went as normal when our convoy came under attack from insurgent forces. As the RTO of the convoy, I was directing communication from the convoy to the base. The attack happened at the government housing that we called “The projects.” The housing was setup as multi-level apartment complexes surrounded on all sides by farmland with the road going up the eastern side of the complex. Power was scarce in the area so there was no electricity at night.

The encounter happened about 15 minutes into the firefight. I was standing by the driver door of the HMMWV (Military Vehicle, similar to a civilian Hummer H1) coordinating the attack and directing support with the Lieutenant. Facing west, the UFO just appeared out of nowhere. I was looking directly at the craft when it appeared. The craft was dead silent, had a dark hull, non-reflective, appeared cigar shaped from my angle, and had a series of blue lights on the bottom and top. The craft was about 100 meters away from us and about 150 meters off the ground. The craft was dead still and had no sway or movement at all.

About 30 seconds after it appeared, the (Singars) Radio’s in the HMMWV immediately started to emit a steady tone. Our vehicle was equipped with 3 radio’s (One for platoon, one for battalion, and one for aviation.) Two of the radios where on VHF Frequencies and one was on a UHF Frequency. All three radio’s started to emit a stead tone on all three radios at the same time. Our handheld radios (MBTTR Radio) also emitted the same tone. As I switched to the different channels, every single Freq was jammed with the same tone.

The fire fight immediately stopped and a single shot was not fired by either us or the insurgents. At the same time our communications were jammed, the electronics on the ITAS TOW Missile system went off line rendering the missile launcher and optics useless. The craft stayed there motionless for about what I guess was 2 minutes when we heard 3 loud booms coming from our base. After the booms, the craft immediately disappeared and all communications were restored.

At FOB Chosen, the TOC (Tactical Operation Center) was monitoring our contact when they too witnessed the craft appear (as the base was only about 700 meters away from the craft). Later when we returned to base, they told us to that they heard the same tone, not only from the VHF and UHF radio’, but also the tactical satellite radios. At the same times, all the computers in the TOC went off line and became unresponsive.

At the same time, our base had three 105mm howitzer artillery cannons loaded and on standby for our contact in case we needed them. When the craft appeared, they lost all communications with everyone and their targeting computers went off-line. The Staff sergeant in charge of the firing line, unable to get orders from the TOC, immediately identified the craft as the cause of the blackout and considered it hostile. Without the targeting computers and no time to do calculation manually for the trajectory, he ordered the cannons to direct lay (Essentially pointing the cannons straight at the target, instead of lobbing the rounds) toward the craft and ordered a 3 round volley to be fired. After the cannons fired, the craft disappeared.

When we returned to base for the AAR (After Action Review), no one could explain what we all saw. After the artillery fired and neither us in the field or the artillery line saw any explosions on the craft, we assumed that the rounds missed the target all together. There was an immediate concern about the rounds because after figuring out the trajectory of the artillery rounds, we saw the point of impact was in the middle of the city of Al-Iskandariyah and the concern for civilian loss of life and collateral damage immediately became priority. We had an AH-1 Cobra on station and gave the pilot the grid coordinates of where the rounds should have landed so he could identify the point of impact and give us an accurate grid and battle damage assessment. The pilot flew in a straight line from the cannons in the direction that the rounds were fired. The pilot came across the radio and reported that there were no impact craters within a 1000 meter radius of the calculated poi! nt of impact and no appearance of any disturbance.

The next morning we were dispatched to the area we thought the rounds landed to ask around if anyone heard where the rounds landed and no one reported hearing anything at all and the local clinics reported no one being admitted with any shrapnel wounds or no new deaths. We have no idea what that craft was and even more, we never figured out what happened to the 3 artillery rounds that were fired. A direct lay shot to a static target 700 meters away should have been an easy direct hit, but there were no traces.

UFO sighting in Basrah Iraq by U.S. Soldier

I am a U.S. soldier and have never had a drink, smoked or done a drug in my life. I was raised very conservatively and have a very level head. I am a father and have been married for over 10 years.

While deployed at COB Basrah, Iraq, I saw something that can only be described as a UFO. I was walking back to my tent from a shift and saw a formation of lights in the shape like the tips of a 5 point star.

The lights were white and round and they appeared to swoop over one of the sections of the camp and lift up higher. It was only a few seconds of a swooping movement and then the lights faded quickly.

My husband was stationed in a camp in iraq, from july 2004 to June 2009. This happened in the early part of 2009. It was right at dusk. He says that the ship was as large as the entire camp. It was triangular shaped. He said if you take three of the largest air craft carriers and place them in a triangular shape end to end then thats how large it was. He said it was dark in color. There were white lights on it as well. I asked him if the camp manager addressed the incedent and he told me no they wanted to squash it.

My husband contacted the military ans they told him they were "handling it," and not to talk about it to others. He also said there was no sound coming from the ship at all. he says that it was about 800 feet up but was hard to tell ause of how large the ship was.

Norway lights spotted last year in Iraq.

I am an American soldier and I was deployed to Iraq all of last year. I was at combat outpost carver, in salman pak, 20 miles south of baghdad. I was on guard at ecp 1 with a half dozen Ugandon soldiers from a company called EDOT. We sat and watched the very same lights that were seen over norway on december 9th, 2009. I called it up on the radio and got told it was probably an illumination round. I have seen hundreds of those and this was not the case. It was the very same thing in the pictures coming out of Norway. I just saw those pics on the foxnews web site and it made chills go up my spine.

Ceiling of Mirrors over my Blackhawk Helicopter.

My Blackhawk helicopter was taking fire from down below over the deserts of IRAQ one night. As the gunner, I was shooting and I momentarily looked up and prayed for God to protect us.

As I looked up, I saw like a thousand 16 by 16 inch flat square mirrors like solar panels all connected up about a 150 ft. long extending well beyond the length of the helo and 50 feet above it forming a flat ceiling. The panels were moving independent of each other like they were fluttering.

I don’t know its width because the helicopter was partially obscuring it. But I had to look quickly back down and keep shooting because we were taking fire.

I am familiar with fixed wing and helo military aircraft, and work in a facility that repairs various military aircraft and have been doing so for 11 years. What I saw that night above IRAQ is unlike anything I have ever known, and I think of it to this very day.

Strange object/funnel cloud with two steady lights moving over south central Iraq.

I am in the US Military and currently stationed in Iraq.

On 15 June 2007 at approximately 2230, I and two other soldiers saw a strange object/formation/thing in the sky. It looked like a funnel cloud about 100 feet tall and was approaching us from a northwest direction. It was white/grey in color. There were no visible lights on it.

It was moving fairly fast. I used my night vision goggles to get a better look at it. I could then see two steady lights. One light was at the bottom of the funnel and the other about halfway up the right side.

As the object passed overhead, it looked more like a cone. Once it passed us, it headed into a southeast direction, then immediately south.

I noticed a third light moving towards the object at a greater rate of speed with my night vision goggles in the same direction; both moving south from Baghdad. The object and lights then began to fade out of sight.

I am not sure if this was a UFO or the International Space Station, since they began working on it I believe the same day. I'm sure there were other people who saw it here also. It was dark and wish I could have taken pictures.

Multiple military personnel watch a strange, unexplained target on a USAF radar screen.

Mailed Report from Member of U. S. Military in Baghdad:

On Monday morning, May 14, 2007, a number of USAF personnel became aware of a very strange return on their radar screens. Senior USAF personnel were summoned, and those present discussed the situation, trying to determine what the object might be.

I would really appreciate anyones input on what this may be because I have probably spent a total of a ymonth of my life pulling security at night and this was not military air. Number 1- its near sattellite orbit 2- moving quicker than sattellites 3 to high speed at that altitude to be military air.

The video is a little over two minutes and the first half is in pitch black as I was attemting to locate my military issued night vision (pvs -14's) and we finally get it on film near the end. you can hear about 15 people all witnessing it and peicing it together. You will notice that at one point in the middle we stop talking. Thats when we realized it was not us (US military). the video contains harsh language FYI. please watch and tell me what the hell I saw. For operational security reasons I can not give details where I am and who witnessed, but lets just say that an entire battalion sized element witnessed this and NO ONE could identify what we saw. you can hear in the commentary that our command acknowledged the sighting when I asked to call to out tactical operations command inquiring about inclement weather and they said no but they see it too. During my first deployment, we had come in contact at a hazardous intersection. Something caused me to look at the sky when it started, and I saw the damndest thing, a diamond-shaped object stationary in the sky. It was high, I can't judge elevation at all, but it was high enough I'm surprised I saw it.

We had rotary wing assets in the sky at the time, and they can't fly that high, so it wasn't them. It was diamond-shaped, stationary, by itself, and so high, giving me some degree of certainty that it wasn't ours at all. I observed it for only a few seconds before changing focus back to the firefight.

2 Groups of Stationary Fire Lines lasting over an hour

At 1845 hrs 2 groups of light were seen in the sky for approx 1 hr 15 min. One group northerly from our position at the Kirkuk Regional Air Base located in Iraq had 3 small fire lines, the other approx south by south west had 1 larger fire line. The two groups of fire lines were oriented in different directions. The fire lines appeared to come from the sky and were bright enough to penetrate the light clouds that passed by. The lines grew steadily brighter and then receded, but never appeared to change distance, heading, or other appearence. In the vicinity of Kirkuk their are oil refineries and other plants that have large external flames, however this phenomena has never been experienced here. It did not appear to be miisles, rockets, aircraft, or other such military weaponry or hardware known.

Bluish lights travelling quickly, stopped and then accelerated away in an instant.

I was north of Baghdad in a very rural and desolate area. We were performing a surveillance operation. I observed three bluish white lights in a column formation (I would estimate spacing between objects to be 800m and the altitude to be 1600m). The objects were traveling from the south-by-south west to the north-by-north east. I brought this observation to my partner’s attention.

Our first thought was someone had fired a few rockets, but the altitude and flight path was not consistent with such an event, although the speed of movement was. We watched as the object covered a distance of approximately 50k with consistency of speed, direction of travel and altitude.

We were discussing amongst ourselves what they might be when in an instant they came to a complete halt. A fraction of a second after stopping, all three objects blinked and then accelerated out of site (The first appeared to be in a very steep if not completely vertical climb). The second object moved in what appeared to be a level trajectory due east. The last moved in what appeared to be a gradually increasing altitude north.

It took approximately one second for the objects to be completely out of site. We switched to IR and still had no visual contact. Obviously, we discussed the issue amongst ourselves but did not report it to higher for obvious reasons. We have no idea what these objects were and unfortunately where unable to determine a shape.

Strange lights, and radio transmissions in Iraq...

Around 2200 hours, about 3 hours after the begining of our shift; I stepped out on the steps of the back door (Which faces West.) to smoke a cigarette.

I saw what at 1st glance seemed to be the star that's discribed on this sight as a usual false sighting, but I realized that the star discribed was in a different part of the sky (I realized this because I like to watch it flash different colors sometimes when I'm looking at the sky.). I belive the star I sometimes watch is more to the Southwest, so it caught my attention.

Immediatly after thinking this, I observed the object to move extreamly rapid for the distance it appeared to be from our position (I am an air traffic controller, so I am aware of "normal", or fighter jet aircraft movment.). I closed my eyes, and shook my head a little to focus on the object to see if my eyes were playing tricks on me, and it continued to move rapidly, change directions instantly, and stop in place.

I called my soldier over to confirm if it was acually moving, and he confirmed. As we watched; another couple of minutes past, and over the tower radio frequency (Our facility monitors the control towers radios.) I heard a broken transmission from what sounded like a pilot that said "...yea, it's a triangle...".

Tower came over the frequency, and told the transmitter to "check freq.", which means your transmitting over our frequency, and your not supposed to. If anyone who's reading this knows anything about aviation radio language, there is nothing anywhere about any triangle that would need to be transmitted to anyone.

I continued to watch the object, using a fixed object placed in my line of sight just below it to ensure myself my eyes weren't tricking me after starring at this thing for a while. It contiued moving irratically, and moving in the same area in the sky for about 30 minutes, and then seemingly dissapeared. It was to far away to make out a shape, but it appeared that depending on the direction of movement, it was emitting different colors (Perhaps different colors on different sides of the object, and depending on what side was facing me; it would show the other colors?) I KNOW, this was not a star.

Beams of light with an extremely slow pulse to it, seen over vast desert and only seemingly visible through NVGs, with a bright glow

Dates and Times are approximate Myself and another Marine were on post on the North side of our base. The base is on a plateau overlooking several small towns and a few other small Forward Operating Bases.

Looking out to the northeast, (where we have seen many other sightings as another I described earlier), I noticed several small beams of light barely noticeable by the naked eye. We are aware of what military/insurgent operations in the area and what types of signs might be present. Looking the night vision and heat sensitive optics, we could see them. With the heat-sensitive optics, not as much.

Myself and the fellow Marine tried to shrug it off as just lights placed by locals or even coalition forces that perhaps we were not aware of. But through night vision, the beams appeared to go up to an extremely high altitude, and near the base had a glow, as noted vaguely through heat-sensitive optics. There were two-four beams at any given time over the early hours of the morning.

As we had to stay aware of base security, we couldn't focus completely on these but they were intriguing. I'm not placing the fact there could be a largely logical reason for these, but it felt weird, and the beams of light had weird characteristics.

This was months ago and I have just found this site, and it's hard to recall all the details, but I do know that they faded sometimes, and would come back brightly at times. This was only really visible through night vision equipment.

And the areas that the beam on the ground was focused gave off heat and a bright glow, and was in areas not completely populated. The area is not like Baghdad, it is mainly vast desert and spotted farmlands and towns.

This was very bizarre to me.

Starfox shaped craft with blue glow and smoke/debris trail behind with no sound within 2500m and an altitude no higher than 400 feet.

The object was flying at least 100-200 feet off the ground heading due north. No sound was reported. It was in the shape of an aircraft somewhat, sort of the shape of the video game Starfox. It was reported by my post and another post on Camp Taqqadum in Al Habbiniyah, Iraq. It must have been between the two posts and probably about 1000m - 2500m away from my position. The craft had a bright blue glow around it (somewhat like a comet), and had a trail of smoke and particles. Again, I must infer that there was NO sound, and the location between two posts would make it impossible that it was a missle or aircraft that is known to myself because no sound was reported, and I was outside.

During Guard one night, me and the other guy looked up in the sky and seen some orange lights in the distance, they were really far away and we called them in but the guy on the other end of the radio said that they were only flares. me and the other guy knew they weren't because they didn't go down and they went out and appeared somewhere else in the sky, we were not the only ones to see them and they lasted for about a week. when we looked in the night vision googles we didn't see anything, if it was a flare then it would have showed up bright in the googles but there was nothing in them.

As a UH-60 Black Hawk medevac pilot I was on a routine night transport from Al Asad to Balad and back to Al Asad. After dropping off patients in Balad flying back to Al Asad under night vision goggles at an altitude of 200 ft I observed what appeared to be 5 lights all on the same craft at an altitude of 60,000 ft or more traveling from south to north. Could not be seen without goggles on, craft was not moving erraticly or at super high speeds, did not make any sudden turns. No aircraft were operating at that altitude at that time. At apx 3:20 EST a "breaking news" report came on about 2 explosions in Baghdad. The field reporter was Brent Sadler (spelling). While he was reporting, a live shot of the smoke was shown from one of the explosions. A helicopter flew close to the smoke plume closely followed by a white light. The chopper went out of the screen (the camera remained stationary) and the light slowed, "turned" around toward the smoke, then quickly pursued the chopper again. This may be an optical illusion on my part, but it certainly was convincing.

Amber sphere in Iraq

My unit had recently deployed in country and we were in a transitory barracks. I had stepped out to get some fresh air by the "smoke pit" and looked towards the airfield (Approximately 1 mile) to see an amber sphere stationary between the airfield and myself. As I work on aircraft it caught my attention. I initially thought it was the moon but with a haze. However, the moon hadn't been rising till much later and was not in that area of the sky. I then considered a blimp, but it made little sense due to the proximity to the airfield and the types of aircraft that fly over that portion of the base. I had about a minute to speculate when it appeared to fold in on itself (like 3 evenly spaced dark petals. It was night after all) and silently disapeared. At no point did I hear any sound. Unfortunately, I didn't have another witness with me. It was a hand span above the horizon. It was as large as a full moon when on the horizon (when its size appears largest). The object was bright (but not glaring) and featureless.

If it hadn't been for the way it disappeared I'd have passed it off for my being unobservant of my surroundings. The following morning I looked to that region to see if I had missed some sot of tower or structure in that area but there was nothing to break the horizon. As for the way it folded; the "petals" were evenly spaced at 10,2, and 6 o'clock. Also note the petals were unseen until it actually occured. It seemed very odd for me to see it as a perfect sphere and the fold to be so even for it to be a local military related event that I just happened to witness. These observations made me want to share this.

Also, (since I marked aircraft were nearby) there are/ were aircraft taking off or landing on a 24 hour basis. I did not observe anything making inspection passes. This would prove difficult considering its proximity to the field and the period of time that I saw it. (pilots don't sit in the plane waiting for UFO intercepts, and the passing of a launch alerts takes 5 -10 min) I am late reporting this as I hadn't heard (or thought to try due to obvious distractions) of this site until a few days ago.

Speed and course changes more abrupt than military aircraft. No sound.

As it departed my driver, who had just arrived, asked me what it was (in much more colorful lamgauge).

8/10/2004 0355 Extremely fast, regularly "winking" white light west to east direction. While west of Baghdad, Iraq.

I was stationed about 30 miles west of Baghdad, Iraq in 2004.

At about 0355 on August 10th, 2004 I went outside to cool off due to hot summer night. I've always been interested in aircraft and stars. I just happened to look overhead when I saw appear a one "winking" light travelling from west to east at a extremely high rate of speed.

I was 46 years old at this time; I have seen many nighttime objects over my life but nothing at all like this.

It appeared to be travelling several thousand mph. Very regular, rhythmic white "winking" light approx. 4 times per second. No breakup or scattering of artifact as with a falling meteor, space junk or satellite. No sound what so ever. It appeared to be extremely high however I was able to see it travel in a straight line for about a total of 4 seconds while it "winked" to the east.

Fully aware that I was in a active combat zone, this light, however, was vastly (understatement) faster than any combat jet know in! theater. At this time, I was a navy corpsman assigned with the USMC as well as a RN.

Summary: Very, very fast regular "winking" (approx. 4 x second) distinct white light west to east travel. No trail or contrail seen.

It was about 5-7 feet away when it started to rise. It was not a tracer bullet as it was much larger and slower and there was no sound. As it rose, it picked up speed and was quickly out of sight.

UFO hypnosis

While on post awaiting relief, I witnessed a boomarang shaped formation fly from the north to southeast. This was a very peculiar sighting because Coalition fighters were in the area, flying sorties, and seemed to scatter away as the object approached Ramadi. It flew low (10,000-15,000ft), made no sound at all, and sped up and slowed down frequently. At first I decided it was a fighter formation. So I waited for the sound. It never came.

My relief, walking up, saw me looking up and asked what I was looking at, he looked up and said "oh... One of ours?", I said,"I dunno? It isn't making any noise". Then I lost sight of it over a building.

I briefed my relief of what took place on my shift, what to expect that night, and special orders from our CO. I started walking back to my rack when I noticed the object had stopped shortly after it left our sight. I hovered in the distance. As I watched, I noticed one of the 3 lights on the right move in and out of the formation repeatedly. I stood there scratching my head.

I got angry for not being able to figure out what it was and said, "what the F%$k is that?" My relief, now on guard, walked over, looked up and said, "huh, thats so friggin wierd". As he said that it started moving east fast. Then it slowed almost to a stop, and shot off.

I realized that both me and my buddy were staring at a black sky with our mouths open. I shook myself out of whatever trance I was in, looked at my buddy, who was still staring, and tapped his shoulder. He jumped a little and looked back at me. We said nothing except a mutual,"huh", and parted.

I can't explain what it was. I have been out here on 2 occassions, and never witnessed anything remotely like it. After it disappeared, I just walked away without a word or second thought till later. My buddy vaugely remembers what happened. I find that very disturbing…

During our occupation of Iraq my squad members and I sighted a craft that was cylindrical it passed over our position and seem to scan the far side of the river where we had received mortar fire from. This craft did not appear like any craft used by the us military. Later it was revealed that Saddum Hussein was taken into custody in the same area.

Around 2pm central time, I was watching the fox cable news on the Iraq war when they were showing a shot from the hotel in Baghdad, Iraq. The camera was fixed on an area of the city not showing anything in particular when suddenly an object flew through the frame. I recognized it and was hoping it would come back again and it did. It was about 8 inches long, silver and thin with 2 small winglets at each end. It appeared to be flexible. It flew in a hap hazard pattern like a fly for a few seconds and then it was gone. I forget the name these are called but it reminded of a drill bit. I was pretty excited as this was my first and only ufo siting.

I have seen photos of them before and will include one similar to what I saw. I wonder if you can buy a tape of that show??

Unexplained lights over Marine armored column in southern Iraq

During assault into Iraq, March 2003, I was a member of the 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. After the initial attack into Az Zubayr (near Basra) my Regiment re-assembled for the movement to Nasariya, about 22 March (the war was very chaotic and I did not keep a journal as things were so hectic). We formed along the highway and started movement well after dark, 2100 or so. As an armored vehicle commander (AAV) my duties had me in the turret searching for threats/targets as we proceeded along the highway at about 20 mph. I had a pair of NVG's (night vision goggles) to aid my night vision and needless to say my crew and I were very alert and nervous/excited with the start of combat a few days earlier. I soon started to notice pulses of dull orange light in the night sky which could be seen with the naked eye. They would trace an arc and pulse in intensity like a flare but would give off very little light (unlike an illumination flare) and the really curious thing was that when observed through NVG's they still gave off very little light. NVG's amplify natural and infra red light very intensly and I could not understand what it might be. My crew saw these lights as well and we agreed none of us had ever seen anything like it in training (new weapon?... if so, whose?) I called it over the net (radio) to the command vehicle and they acknowledged they could see them as well and did not know what they were. These continued one after another all night and seemed to be close aboard. The obvious reaction was that they were some form of illumination being used by the Iraqi's but I should mention that the surrounding area was desolate arid desert with little place to hide and hardly any terrain features for miles. We encountered no resistance whatsoever during the movement, and so no enemy to explain the source. There was no sound that could be heard though the engine noise would have made that difficult. What I found to be really curious was that nobody seemed to care though it obviously! implied some sort of weapon or device was being used and it was not ours. The airspace over the Marine advance was tightly controlled to avoid friendly fire and we saw plenty of helicopters to know the difference. These were to be seen on later nights as well during our push on Baghdad and it got so that we stopped reporting it at all as we would any enemy contact. I never got an explanation though the Regimental Staff was part of my column and all the officers I asked could not explain it either. Again, these lights would move in slow shallow arcs like small orange balls that would glow brighter then dull and then brighter again. These would pulse maybe 5 or 10 times then disappear and soon another would be seen in a different direction. These were noticed with the naked eye and did not look any different with night vision goggles (?). They were seen only up in the air and did not seem to fall to earth and seemed relativly close by. I should also mention that we were all obviously sober and awake and very alert. On that first night in particular they were seen during most of the movement, 8 to 10 hours along 150 miles of desert highway. The night sky seemed clear enough to make out the stars some of the time but not a lot of moonlight to aid night vision. There was no noticeable effect or purpose to these lights to explain them.

The convoy commander relayed over the radio that we were ready to move. I jumped in my truck, and welcomed aboard Private ((name deleted)), my co-driver also known as my battle buddy. I remember it was a quiet and slow ride, but then I seen that this HUMMV drifted ahead with speed.

The distance between our vehicles was increasing. It only took seconds to get to the point when I wasn't able to see them at all. I remember feeling terrified, because all I seen around was just darkness and we were on this cliff rolling downwards towards the end of the bridge. I had no idea how or where those roads led, so I slowly released my foot off the gas, held down on the clutch and allowed my vehicle to roll, attempting to keep the wheel at what I considered straight.

All of a sudden my tractor jilted downwards fast as if my truck fell into a deep hole and my truck started to sway from left to right beyond my control, then it stopped. My tanker full of fuel was creaking as if it was leaning. I learned we were leaning in like a see-saw position as I glanced over to my frightened battle and seen she sat higher than me. The unevenness in the cab of my tractor gave me a clue that we were leaning off the cliff! This same cliff that had a significant drop! We both sat solid in the truck beyond terrified because we knew we were about to die without a doubt. We both didn't even want to talk, we just stared. The emotions of my battle filled me with sorrow and I was too stuck in fright to tell her that it will be ok. The sad thing is I remember the only sentence she said was, "I love you battle, at least we won't have a long death, it'll be quick because we're going to hit rock bottom too fast." We laughed, but it seemed as though our tiny fake giggles made the movement of the truck worse. I had no idea where the convoy was behind us because I couldn't hear anything. We were definitely not about to make a move and turn around to see. So we sat still wi! th no other choice but to ready ourselves for death.

What we then witnessed was out of this world and would require you to actually be there to believe it. As I stated earlier we were driving vehicles that were used in Desert Storm, and that my tractor trailer was a stick shift. The only way for that raggedy truck to turn on was if I pushed both my tiny feet way down on the clutch, then turn the key and hold it until it turns on in that exact order. This instance was different. My truck just turned on by itself without the use of the clutch and definitely not the use of the key. I refused to move a muscle let alone turn the ignition to start. My hard to handle steering wheel spun crazily round and round and without being in any gear, my truck jolted forward then to the right. I thought the weight of the truck had given in on the cliff and we were falling. My vehicle continuously rolled forward until my battle and I noticed we were at the other side of the bridge and safe on regular road. We can see our heavy foot HUMMV parked! along with the rest of the convoy that was ahead of us. Behind us was a gap followed by the vehicles that were behind us from the start. It was a good thing a tanker moved from the back of the convoy and became the leader to lead the rest of the convoy to the end of the bridge where my vehicle was approaching. I didn't remember traveling that distance. It had to have been a 3 to 3 1/2 mile roll that I nor my battle had any recollection of. I'm not insinuating that we were somehow time warped or anything of the sort, it's just that a 20 mph vehicle ride over a 3-mile stretch would be noticeable. It only took seconds for us to travel that distance. At that time what mattered most was that we were alive. We were somehow saved from that cliff drop to death. My battle and I just stared at each other amazed by what we just witnessed and I remember my battle saying to me, "I will ride in this truck from now on." Once we were completely caught up to the convoy, Amy and I got out the truck and threw our hands towards the sky with kisses, thanking God for another chance at life. My praises was interrupted when I suddenly saw this anomaly in the sky. To describe it at it's best it looked like our moon when it's at full moon. This anomaly was shining bright and as it coasted in the sky a white fire like trail followed it. I wasn't able to hear a sound from it. It was high in the sky, but low enough to see and know for a fact that this was not something that we would call an aircraft of ours on this planet. It shimmered a royal blue like color as it coasted silently and slowly in the sky. It looked as though it was following our convoy while in the sky as though it was watching us. It was an odd sight, but very beautiful! My battle buddy, a few dozens of the soldiers in the convoy and myself watched this anomaly as it seemed as though it was following the whole convoy. We couldn't take p! ictures because flashes fell under light discipline and no one had a camera. This was an experience that would pass down as a myth to our grand children, but I will always know that I was there at the origin of that myth.

It was summer of baghdad almost midnight as I remember after the war and the fall of baghdad, i was sleeping on the roof that time becouse there was no electrisity in baghdad, so at that time I saw something is moving from the north going to the south, speedy or not i don't becouse i could not recognize the hight of it. I thought it was a US air craft at the begining but it was not, becouse there was no winds at all only a shape of rectangle only flying, no light, no sound at all, the problem i could not see more details becouse it was so dark and the moon was in the other side, so i saw the reflection on the object only.

The event was already happening when I started my sighting, about 20 dots reflecting light type, at a very high altitude, changing formation at remarkable speed in pairs , then each pair rotate at center of gravity, then dots switch the pairing with another dots, gave an impression of exchange invisible things, then formation scattered in all directions like a blast and disappeared, the dots leave no trails, and did not emit light, were too faint that I had to look at the edge of the lens to be able to see them with the side of my eye.

in autum of 1992 an identufied flying object was sighted approximatly 20 km to the north west of kerkuk northern iraq apperantly it was picked up by radar of northern and middle air defence sectors of air defence;16 air defence prssonalle saw the craft travvelling westbound at 400 knots at an altitute of 600 ft.at early afternoon.an air defence captain gave the order to engage and anti-aircraft fire was started 4 22mm canons fired on the ufo.and terget was reported hit.as all the air defence personelle saw flames bursting out the craft.

Object filmed by professional camera crew during first Gulf war

possible UFO captured on film in in a program entitled " In Harm's Way", shown on the Discovery Military channel.

The film depicts an British Tornado jet aircraft performing a roll maneuver and an object appears in the top right part of the screen.

The shot only lasts a few seconds and is approximately 30 minutes into the program.

My DVR was recording at the time so I was able to capture the video.

The program will air again on the Military channnel on 03/17/07.

I can send a video file should you care not to wait until that date.

I do have some concerns over copyright infringement.

From reading your bio and from seeing a tv program that portrayed your operation, I feel that you can and would be discreet should I send you a short clip on-line.

The clip was filmed during the first Gulf war, 1991 0r 1992.

Strange black triangle moved close to our formation

In the early hours of desert storm around 02:46 hrs myself and three other aircraft (MH-60K Black Hawks) were inserting UW forces to take out a radar and scud site just inside the Iraq border with Kuwait.

When our task force was about 2km out from the LZ we dawned are NVG'S as lead pilot on my aircraft I took control of the bird and started to prepare to land as I looked to my right to see the other two aircraft I looked at the blackhawk to my right and just above and to the front in the distance approx 3/4 at maybe 1,000 ft I saw what apeared to be a F-117 coming towards our formation, there were not to be any fighters in are AO at that time, the craft got within a 1/4 mile or so and slowed down to a speed which a stealth could not maintain and then turned to our north like a 90 degree turn the wing span was to long to be a F-117 the span was 70-80ft across no lights or any heat could be seen with the NVG's I heard the rear aircraft ask what was that aircraft doing so close to us and the the thing just vanished in the night! When we got back to base we never said anyting for very goog reason we did not want to be grounded and have to be debreifed for hours.

I did check with fight ops and they said there no fixed wing aircraft at all with in 10 miles from us.
