Inexplicable white object in the sky above a valley near Taygetus mountain range

Whilst having a coffee overlooking the valley, we were taking pictures, and noticed an inexplicable object in the sky which we somehow have managed to photograph, 3 times! In all 3 photos, it seems to look a bit different. The first 2 photos were taken from our hotel, while the 3rd was taken from the castle of Mystras behind it. But in all 3 photos, we were taking a photo of the same valley/view. The 3rd photo is actually from 09:47 on the same morning.

Fade white lights in a triangle formation moving straight line

I was on my balcony. I was trying to see if there was the moon in the sky when with the corner of my eye, i got some movement up high. I focused on that instantly and saw (i think it was 7) fade lights, in a big triangle formation, moving straight fom SE to NW without any noise and in a relatively high speed!
It lasted almost 10 seconds before it was out of my sight!

I've never seen anything like that in my life! I'm sure i saw it, i know it wasn't any known man-made craft (sats, airplanes, helicopters etc). I'm old enough to know these things!

I can say for sure if it was one big transparent, triangle craft or 7 small objects in triangle formation! Unfortunately i was in shock and didn't even think of getting my phone camera on to film it, although it might didn't appear due to the dark conditions!

I know it's probably not much but i wanted to share this experience with people who might recognise something like that or at least understand it!

I thought someone should know.

I was on my honeymoon at this resort, I saw a shooting star on the first night and the light pollution was very low so I’d hope to see another. I was looking out to sea most nights hopeful to see another one. I thought I spotted something, but after looking at it for a while I realised it was very close and moving slowly through the night sky. I thought it was perhaps a loose helium balloon drifting across at first, but it interacted violently with a light beam projected from a beach party. When the light touched it, the object took incredible efforts to avoid it and zoomed away out to sea and seemed to land on water and vanish. It was the strangest thing I’ve ever seem in my life.

A big object with a light source (rotating and shining visibly) in the middle, connecting two gleaming "clouds"

I was (together with my family) on vacation in Greece - Crete - Frangokastello. On 23rd of June at night, around 10:10 PM we observed an UFO, something that we have never seen before and something that we cannot explain. It was a big, irregular object containing a source of quite strong white/yellow light in the middle, rotating and shining irregularly, connecting two big gleaming "clouds" together. On top of one of them a straight blue line of light was clearly visible as well. The object was moving towards East, not very fast, but very steadily, without any noise. Suddenly one of the clouds disconnected from the rest of the object and remained in place, however still gleaming with a strange glow impossible to be explained, without a visible sources of any light. The rest kept moving to the East and slowly, after about 10 minutes it became not visible anymore. However, the disconnected cloud that was left behind was still there, with a slightly changing shape, becoming a more regular oval, still shining for about 20-25 minutes and then slowly disappeared as well. Apart from me and my family, also our neighbors there saw the same situation and could not explain it with anything known to us. Please, see the picture I have drawn to illustrate the object. Please also find attached two videos of pure quality (taken by mobile phone), apparently only the central point of light is visible on the footages, but maybe they might be editable to make the quality and resolution better? One evening, I was lying on a couch on my balcony, watching football on my iPad. In the background, the typical sounds of the village could be heard. Dogs were barking, and cars and scooters were driving up and down the street. Suddenly, these sounds disappeared without warning. At first, I didn't even notice because I was focused on watching football. But at some point, I became aware of a very high-pitched, tinnitus-like humming noise. I leaned forward to see what it was and noticed a spherical object in the air.

It was about 100 meters away from me in a straight line and was slowly descending vertically. The object's colors were metallic and dark, but strangely, it also appeared to have a liquid-like quality. In the middle of the round object was a horizontal white light, though it didn’t illuminate its surroundings. The object descended for about 10 seconds until it disappeared completely into the darkness.

I said to my partner Emma look at that it looks like a line of smoke but it's on it's own in this clear sky that's strange . Then as I said that it all of a sudden started turning and we both instantly look at each other and said wow what the hell is the because lines of smoke or clouds just do not certainly turn in the sky like that . It did like s full turn then suddenly shoots off though the sky with what looked like a ball baring like ball at the front of it . We was amazed and stunned at the same time that we said we need to ask the pilot when we was getting off the plane but we couldnt see him staff said and they dismissed it. Iv just watched a program on UFO.s andcseen how to contact you so did because we just didnt know who to ask . The incident took place over the Aegean Sea in Greece, near the town of Ayia, Larissa, Thessalia, Greece.

The photos were taken from an IP security camera which takes snapshots on specified intervals and on movement detection, and stores them on an ftp server.

The camera is there for about 3 years. The purpose of the camera is not security, but just to watch the sea and the sunrise. It looks S-SE There are 25 shots of the object. In the first and the last the object is barely visible. The only thing I changed on the photos is the filenames to show the series.

Strange shaped craft over Crete

I honestly don’t care if anyone believes me but I feel the need to tell someone about this.

My wife and I were walking down the beach just outside of Platanias star gazing. It’s a small village West of the city of Chania on the island of Crete in Greece. I saw something out of the corner of my eye to the right (on the land side not over the ocean) and it was some kind of craft clear as day. It was odd shaped. Definitely closer to a saucer than any other shape but much wider in the middle than the stereotypical ones you see in movies and the edges were more rounded. It was covered with lights around the middle and on the bottom but they weren’t the same. Some of them were brighter than others and some were clearly different colors. I distinctly remember seeing some shades of red but it was mainly yellow light like from a light bulb.

I was in the Army a long time and have seen many different aircraft and it wasn’t anything of ours. It’s hard to say exactly how far away it was because it’s hard to judge the distance and size of something when it’s in the air at night, but if I had to guess it appeared to be maybe 3 or 4 city blocks away, approximately 100-150 feet off of the ground, relative to the houses down below. If you were to take your index finger and thumb and measure about 2.5 to 3 inches between them and hold it at arm’s length away from your face. That would be about how big it appeared.

My wife and I stood there for a second very confused and then the lights dimmed and it was gone. I didn’t see if zip away or anything, the lights just dimmed to black over the span of a second or so and it was ‘’gone’’ or perhaps just hovering in the dark. It made zero sound and there was no wind that night to carry off the sound of a chopper. There is nothing it could have been confused with. Trust me I’ve tried! my hardest to debunk it. There are no mountains behind that area and the shape was very clear.

The whole event lasted only a few seconds, but I got a very good look at it. I tried to report it to the government but they don’t accept these things apparently. I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately and came across this site. I know it’s probably not of any use but I just had to tell someone. Maybe you collect data to look for patterns or something. I’m not familiar with this type of stuff. This isn’t exactly the kind of thing you share with family or friends unless you want them to think you’re nuts. I was completely sober by the way and I don’t use drugs of any kind. I hope this helps in some way.

Was stargazing on the balcony, when a weird white light caught my eye. The light, spherical in nature, was moving across the sky eastwards, at about the height of a regular aircraft. It was probably traveling at a speed of regular airplane, but at the same time it did not move like one and there was no noise emitting from it (at the rate of its speed there should have been an audible noise).

What was strange was that unlike a regular airplane the craft wasn't flickering. At some point the light was starting to dim, it disappeared from the sky for a short while until reappearing again. The light again resumed its previous action and dimmed out once more,this time however it did not reappear. Unfortunately, I did not have my phone on me to capture and take pictures.

I have seen this type of light in the sky previously while in Greece, and while looking up from the same place a couple weeks earlier. I did not make anything of it the first time but it has gotten me interested now.

Strange UFO lights over the Kalathi - Taýgetos mountains Kalamata, Greece

Wednesday night around 11pm April 22, 2015, location: Kalamata, Greece, above and lower Kalathi - Taýgetos mountains.

I was out on my balcony view facing the mountains when I saw these balls of bright lights moving in many directions, up & down, sideways, bright to dim, colors ranging from white to light red-orange.

The distance between my house and the mountains is 3-4 miles apart, and the view of the mountain tops of the Kalathi is about 2,700 ft perhaps +/- (there is a live webcam facing the Kalathi mountains in Kalamata).

I thought at first it was fireworks or lanterns, the way they moved and changed size and color no lanterns nor fireworks behaves this way! They moved near the mountain tops in 3 areas, I've seen them at the top of the mountain (many to few), also to the right and left of the mountain at different elevations all at the same time, appearing & disappearing.

I watch for 2 1/2 hours until I was tired and most had faded away.

During this time I had telephoned my girlfriend and she also witness this on her balcony as well.

Later my boyfriend can home to view some activity before they all faded away.

Green and purple lights over Central Greece for 7 nights.

I’d like to start by apologizing beforehand for any grammar mistakes, as English is not my native language (I’m Greek).

During our stay at my father in law’s vacation house in a village in central Greece (Euboea island), I took an interest in night photography (Milky way, constellations etc.) with out newly bought Sony A-5000 large sensor camera. To my wife’s request, I went to the other side of the house, with a beautiful view at the Aegean sea and the islands of Skiathos and Skopelos and took some night photos of the lights at the port of Skiathos.

The first 2 photos I took seemingly had a strong lens diffraction, at least it seemed this way from a glance at the 3 inch screen. So I continued taking night photos of the lights of Skiathos. When I got really bored and looked at the sky thinking “maybe a couple more photos of the milky way before sleep,” I saw over my head for about 3 seconds a black disk flying with no sound and going south, towards the village of St. Anna. When I started feeling my legs again, I remembered the 2 first “bad”photos and reviewed them again using the zoom rocket. I don’t really know what these lights are, but they kept appearing each night and I kept photographing them. As I am not a UFO or an X-files fan, I shrugged my shoulders and my life continued with nights out for dinner, walks, playing cards with friends, that is to say I didn’t spend much time sitting in the balcony and shooting in the dark until morning. But every night I devoted half to one hour to this strange occurrence.

Unfortunately as today (August 29) we had to leave and return to Athens, last night was the last photos I took, but I’m pretty sure the lights will continue as we speak. And since Internet access was limited in the village and we didn’t have a pc, we could only do this here in Athens.

I send to you by email 5 photos (including the first 2 I mention above), but I have over a hundred, most of them the same (i was shooting with the '3 images continuously' mode) and some not really impressive. Some of them are a bit out of focus or maybe a little shaken, most of them were taken with the camera sitting on the top of the wall balcony of the house and trying to lift the view by wedging under the camera the neck hanging cord or the lens protector etc.

I would also like to mention that the lights were not visible by the eye, every image was taken with a 10 seconds shutter speed or more, so as you can understand, I was shooting at nothing, hoping that the lights would appear on the screen. I also experimented by taking a couple of images with a 2.5 seconds shutter speed and the lights got really dark. I have also taken some of the last images using RAW together with jpeg, in a hope to prove that the photos are not manipulated in any way. If you think that these images are worth considering, I would be happy to send to you more or all of them, as well as any relevant information i can.

Transparent rectangular UFO

I want to share my experience with you I had some years ago, I have found many similarities with many people experiences from here. I was for holidays on Chios island, specific on a village called Viki which is on the northern part of the island. I was with some friends of mine outside the village for a walk, nightime with a very clear sky and full moon. We were looking up to the sky to see some stars falling and I was looking all around to see a falling star. A friend of mine told me to stare to a specific place cause I had more possibilities to see a star falling. So I did. I was down from the road electric light and above of me was the full moon. So I had good front and back light. As I was gazing the beautiful and clear sky, hearing the cicadas and feeling the light air coming on me I suddenly saw it. I was frozen. A flying rectangular transparent object with no sound passed in front of my eyes, under the full moon and above the road electric light. I could see its outline and also the stars behind it. It might have been about 300-400 meters above and it was flying very harmoniously, it was moving so smoothly and peacefully in the sky like a bird with its wings opened. It had no lights, nothing else on it that I saw. From the time I saw it until it disappeared in the darkness there were passed about 4-5 seconds. The speed of it wasn't so high, it was like spying with no lights and being transparent. I'm thinking that somehow repulses the photons going over it so thats why I couldn't see it. I cannot say if it was aliens, humans with human technology or humans with alien technology. I can only guess. That's all from me.

UFO escorts an airplane over Poros Island, at Greece!

Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at 8:45 PM, a UFO photographed on the island of Poros, escorts a passenger plane. The incident captured with the camera of UFO researcher Harris Koutsiaftis, which at that time was from the southwest side of the main city.

The two objects (where flying at high altitude) was shining, thanks to the reflection of the sun on them. Available in 30-40 seconds remained visible in the visual field of the researcher.

Those seconds the unknown object was moving parallel to the plane, then began to overtake them and in the ends flies in front of the nose of the airplane at a greater distance, until it lost both skyline. At the time of the photographs, dozens of people around began to realize what was happening and looked up in the sky observing and commenting on the paradox of the case.

Analyzing the incident, Harris said about the identity of shiny objects: "There is no known conventional military aircraft to fly with such speed, to reflect sunlight and it not after exhaust! So we talk, or an alien flying saucer, or a secret human aircraft, there escort the plane after the incessant crashes occurring in the last days."

In a further statement, Harris, excluded also the case of a reflection of a plane in icy cloud crystals, not only because of July and the clear skies of that evening, but also because the strange glow was not after the Sun but between him and the object.

More, for the strange passage through the next issue of Greek UFO magazine named "ET" and the September issue of Greek "Phenomena".

The second report of the UFO that escort a plane, over Greece!

Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at 8:45 PM, a UFO photographed on the Greek island of Poros, escorts a passenger airplane. The incident captured with the camera of UFO researcher Harris Koutsiaftis which at that time was from the southwest side of the main city. Seven minutes after Poros island, the unknown object and the airplane come their pass over Loutraki at Korinthos. The witness John P. immortalized on a video the crossing.

According to Harris, the continuous variation of light on the unknown object (as you will notice in the video) was due to volatile changes, which they was not happening with the airplane, that has a steady course in traffic level.

Orange-colored, star shaped and sized object hurtles through space, I witness and wonder about it.

There's not much to tell; I had come home from a party with a friend, and I was looking out of a window. There was an orange sphere moving, and my first thought was that it must be a shooting star. But it didn't have the trails or anything like that.

Either way, I watched it for approximately 10s and it moved behind the mountain and out of sight. I know no-one will believe me, but there is a US military base not far from here, and the orange thing was flying in a straight beeline towards there.

And I have seen shooting stars; I am capable of telling the difference.

Yellow flash light standing still.

I saw something strange for the first time in my life in the sky. I am writing this half an hour after it disappeared.

I saw a yellow light flashing far away in the sky but not periodically. Sometimes the flash was for one second and sometimes for a little longer (3 seconds maybe but the shape is unkown to me. This was happening for 43 minutes. From 4:00 AM until 4:43 AM.

After that it turned white flashing and then never showed up again and five or ten minutes the dawn started. That's all I saw. The yellow flash sometimes moved only a little but mostly it was still in the same spot of the sky.

Also, I tried to take a video via my cell phone but nothing is appearing in it because it has no zoom option and because maybe of the street lights and the distance.

Big white shining thing crashed in the Aegean Sea between Karpathos and Rhodes

I just saw something crashing. I'm on Karpathos, which is a Greek island in the South Aegean.

Today September 21th at 20.55 local time (GMT+3)I saw a large white shining thing sailing over Pigadia, the main city of the island. It flew quite low, my guess is 1200 to 1500 meters above ground and had the size of a jumbojet, if you saw it in that altitude.

It came in directly from southwest and had the shape of a french lily. I know that that's the classic shape of a meteor, but I don't think it was a meteor. It was bright white and even if it moved very fast, it seemed to sail. I instinctively prepared for an impact, because I thought it would crash at the promontory just north of Pigadia.

When it flew over the crest of the promontory, which has an altitude of 500 meter, something glowing red fell of it. This part must have fallen on the eastern side of Karpathos, whereas the main body must have crashed in the sea between Karpathos and Rhodes.

I also waited for a crash-noise, but heard nothing. Just before the red part fell off, the main body seemed to rotate 90 degrees and fly sideways.

At approximately 23:00 while smoking on a patio a twinkling object was visible to the southwest of the airport about 45 degrees up from the horizon. I dismissed it as a star at this point. An hour later 24:00 the object had disappeared from that area completely. This is when I knew something was up. I looked across the horizon and saw that the object had positioned itself to the northwest of me still at the same altitude. This time I stayed outside and watched it for several minutes noticing that it had moved very slightly to the north. The third time I went outside it was gone from this area as well. I saw a UFO in the sky of a CNN news report.

Yesteday, I was watching CNN International for the headlines and forgot to click it off so it went into the next program I-Reports.  Right away I saw an object in the sky.  The "UFO" stays stationery in the sky, the camera pans to the left and then comes back to the sky and that object does not move!  

Maybe it's a blimp or helicopter but it doesn't look that!   It looks like one of the classic UFO photos I've seen in books, TV and on the internet. Ironic, when I was watching CNN later, the same video came on and I KNEW.

I read or heard somewhere a long time ago that when there disaster or civil unrest occurs UFO's, mothmen, or some other strange things are seen.  I always believed this, too!   Anger or other expulsion of great negative energy attracts strange things (mostly evil).

I hope you will watch the video at the above URL above (I don't have the software so I can't record it-I hope you can record the video) and let me know your reaction.  

What blows my mind is that probably few caught it (but you can't miss it-this metallic thing is right there hovering in the middle of the sky) because I did a google check and no one mentioned it.  

MY QUESTION: HOW COULD ANYONE MISS THIS?  IS EVERYONE WHO SAW THE SAME VIDEO THAT BLIND THAT THEY DENY WHAT THEY'RE SEEING?  

Something unusual is in that sky!

Starlike object flying at commercial jet speed

I had just been watching a DVD of the movie "Stargate" (coincidence ?) and I stepped out for a cigarette. I looked up the sky since there were few shower clouds earlier. The sky was very clear, only few whispering clouds scattered. I looked up towards the Orion constellation thinking how bright the stars looked tonight, when I noticed a star as bright as Sirius, which was also visible from where I was standing, moving across the sky from the right of Orion on a straight course from S.W. to N.E. As I was trying to focus looking for the blinking lights of the airplanes I noticed it was traveling at least at 30,000 feet altitude without any sound. No blinking lights just a steady bright light, and as it went over a thin cloud it started to fade into a normal size star in the sky. When it came out from over the cloud it kept on getting dimmer although it was closer to my point of view by then. I lost sight of it behind a building.

This is the 3rd incident in the past three months of witnessing an unusual flying object in this area. My first encounter, however, was in 1971 when I saw a fireball entering the atmosphere and after making a 90 degree turn it split into 4-5 smaller objects that traveled horizontally at a fantastic speed.

A UFO , what is going on ?

It was midday and I was having some time with my family at my aunts house . I was sitting near a window , alone-the others were one floor above me, while I was looking outside the window , I saw an object increasing its altitude slowly over the sea ( near that area there is NO airport , the nearest airport is 50 km from there ) ... The object had two parts , two round parts , that were connected to each other by a thick curved line ... It really looks like a helicopter , but it is not ... It flied to high for a helicopter and after that , it had no propellers , it made no sound and both round parts were to big and seemed too heavy for a helicopter to carry , its color was gray . I was totally terrified at that moment , the only thing I thought of is to take my dig camera and snap it , I did !!! I have a picture of it and it can be seen very well if you zoom on it .

The weirdest thing though is that after I couldn't see unidentified flying object any more two fighters of the Hellenic Air Force flew over the area and towards the place that the ufo flew ...

Huge musquito like golden object over Ionian Sea near Messolonghi, Western Greece.

Date and time of the sighting: March 7th, 2007, 19:30 to 19:35 and also 19:40 to 19:42.

Place: Messolonghi, (Western) Greece.

At the above time and date, in the night sky - the sunset had taken place an hour earlier - I saw a very bright object, stationary. The color was bright golden and the shape of the object like a cigar with a protruding thinner extension, vertically protruding from the upper part of the main body. The main body was a little longer than the extension. The extension was pointing towards the sea, almost vertically (but not totally). It looked like a mosquito. It remained immobile at the same spot on the horizon both times it appeared.

The angle to the horizon from my position was about 40 degrees. Its size, because of the distance involved (many miles in clear skies), was three times bigger than the size of the evening star observed at the same time. I was standing at the balcony of my flat, located in the town of Messolonghi, and the object appeared towards the west; in my opinion it was hovering over the Ionian Sea and before the island of Kephalonia (Copholonia).

NB A few miles to SW direction from Messolonghi, on Peloponese, there is a military air base.

One triangular object flying south-to-north observed in daylight and perferctly clear sky. It had a pulsating blue-white (like a flash) light emmiting every few seconds from its "rear end" and seemed to move in small "jumps". It was directly over me and at rather high altitude (I noticed it accidentally, looking at a contrail of a jet in a different part of the sky and to another direction), so it was difficult to keep my eyes focused on it, after about 1min I lost it.

Spinning Matrix of Lights object encountered in Crete Greece

The best description I can give for this object is that from the bottom of the object we could see a huge matrix of round lights. If I had to guess the number of lights, I would say about 100 to 200 total. The object's height from the ground was 50 to 100 meters and it seemed to be following our car as I was driving. I say this because the object was exactly above us and it continued like that (spinning and moving from one side of the road to the other side) for about 5 more minutes approx. The sky had a mild fog so the only thing we (my wife, my son and myself) could perceive were the lights. The diameter of lights was similar to the huge spotlights that you see at events and fancy clubs. There were no clubs or events around that area (this is a rural - farm town). That was the first thing I checked - I'm a diehard skeptic who never believed any UFO stories). I'm concerned as I've never seen anything like it so close to me and it scared my family. Unfortunatelly, I did not have any cameras with me so I have no images to prove this event - just my testimony.

while driving up Mt.Holomontas , which i think is the tallest in the Halkidiki region of Greece i was recording on video on my cell phone the pine trees. As we were commenting on the climate there- i zoomed in to see the trees better when a round object appeared from the left at the top of the trees a few 100 meters down the road.It was between the trees, like in the middle of the road.It flew right then back left a bit, sort of centered it's position flew straight and disappeared. i comment on video: "a UFO". stopped recording in shock i think to actually see it with my eyes and not through the phone. i have a 00:37 second video.

In the summer of 2006, we played football at an elementary school. At some point, I saw a round shadow passing underneath us and then the time stood still. No one was moving; the ball stood still in midair, and I could only move my eyes. This was about a few seconds to half a minute, and suddenly everything was normal. Some kids had cramps, one who played basketball fell like he was standing still in midair. A friend said he saw a round black thing flying over us at that exact time. On 10/23/2006, at 03:00’ two of my best friends and I where at Dikaia, which is a small vilage near Orestiada of Evros, GREECE, and we were supervising our area, because we were on duty, we are solgdiers with salary.

Sadenly we saw a bright flying thing coming straight to our side. We felt so scary that we turned off our car and we stayed to the dark, thinking that it is something hostile from Turkey.

As it was moving to our side we could see that it had a strange shape of something like a diamond, and their lights were flashing around it. It came right above of us and stoped for about two minutes. We were terrified. We could listen no sound, but the lights were so stronge that we couldn’t hold our eyes open.

Sydenly it landed next to us and all the lights turned off. We felt deezy, our head was too close to be exploded and we swa about eleven "people" walking near our car. I stepped out of the car and took my weapon with me. But my head pane became stronger, so I threw dwon the gun. Then I heard one of the "thing" talking to me. It was like us, it had hair, it was two meters tall and its eyes were covered by something like black eye-glasses. It seemed strong and grey. Its head was bigger and its hands had two thumbs and six fingers. It spoke to me in a language like anciend greek and It was like singing to me. The only thing that I underestood was that they came to help humanity, and take in exchange some materialw that we can not use as fuels. Then they left, with no sound, and their lights were turned on as soon as they left the ground. Nobody has learned anything. We afraid to talk about it. I am glad that i found your site cause a very strange thing happened to me before 6 years.i used to work in santorini island in Greece.and one night around midnight,i went out of home to call from a phone booth my girlfriend cause i didn't have credits.

While i was talking with her and gazing the big volcano,between the sky and the mountain located there,just over the sea surface a triangle-shaped object appeared very close to me.it was obviously rotating clockwise slowly but steady.i could see 3 light spots,equally located one from each other connected with black lines that i could barely see because of night i guess.the most strange thing was that its lights were not like ordinary lights but like negative lights. i mean like when a torch is facing a wall or something. i cant explain it better, i am sorry.

So after it did a full turn it disappeared immediately.it didn't run or move towards.just strafe.

I cant say what it was but for sure i felt like it wanted to be seen by me because it came very very close.i was so frightened that i was frozen for a minute.

We observed a bright light travelling in a north-easterly direction.

It was travelling very fast. There was no noise, no aircraft flashing lights.

At first we though it was a satellite. So went and fetched our binoculars. Followed it through the night sky. Then it stopped for about 10 seconds, afterwards it continued to move slowly but appeared to be moving upwards and away because it's light became gradually dimmer until it disappeared altogether.

It was a very clear night with lots of stars out.

All three of us saw the light for about 60 seconds.

It was brighter than any star in the sky.

I wouldn't have believed it unless I had seen it, and I saw it: there was thunder, lightning and heavy rain. I was on the balcony watching the storm with my girlfriend, when we both saw a triangular shaped thing pass about 150 feet in front of us, the thing seemed to be only about 10-15 feet across. It has no discernable colors except for three dim orangish lights at each corner. My girlfriend continued to watch it and I ran to get binoculars, and when I lifted them to view the thing it veered to the left and out of sight. It was in view for about 15 seconds. This was not a plane, it was in contrast to what I have read since, too slow and small. It was about 12 miles from the nearest airport and not in the flight path. It was flying about 50 feet from the ground. It was not ball lightning, or any kind or ligtning. The electric lights in the apartment were flickering but only before the thing was seen, although I am sure this was due to the storm being the skeptic I am. It sounds really odd, but the thing seemed to be almost like one of those pictures that if you view it at the wrong angle it can't be seen. I'm not crazy. But it sounds like I am.

My friend had a digital camera and was shooting photographs of his son playing in the water. None of us saw anything unusual at that time.

When my friend looked at his pictures at home, however, he found a very strange sight: a distinct, silver, disc-shaped object in the air between the beach where we had been and another peninsula of the island in the distance. The disc was symmetrical and tilted at a slight angle. It was deepest at the mid-point, tapering at the edges. In a photograph taken a minute later, the disc is no longer there.

a look-through aircraft a la 'predator'

I'm a danish citizen, and the observation happened as I was on a vacation in Greece. Being a reporter I felt, that I had to report it to some 'professionals', and I've tried that, but learned the hard lesson that nobody really cares.

On the first of October 2002 on the isle of Folegandros, which is situated in the south-western Cyclades, I observed a strange aircraft while I was lying on my back on some coastal rocks a little south of Karavostasi. It moved south at a relatively slow speed at an altitude of about 3000 feet.

The craft was completely transparent.

I want to point out, that I have often seen how aircrafts under certain weather conditions seem to blend into the sky - even a clear blue one. However, living in cold Denmark you go out and splay yourself in the sun as often as you can during summer. The beach I use is one mile from the Int. airport of Copenhagen, so I've studied aircrafts a lot lying on my back.

I first noticed this one as it ploughed through a lowhanging white cloud. I was puzzled by it's shape, which I could see as a shadow on the 'belly' of the cloud. It looked like a big fat cross, the nose and wings round like the shape of a trefoil and the body rather plump and short.

I thought it might be some kind of veteran aeroplane, so I waited for it to emerge from the cloud. When it did, the 'mouth' of the cloud seemed to start whirling like a washing machine, and I was shocked to see, that the 'thing' coming out was completely look-through or invisible apart from a tiny blurry outline much like that of a soap-bubble.

The background sky was blue with fleecy clouds, and I could see these clouds right through the plane.

As it passed over me, and I was struggling to keep my eyes on the ghostly thing, it cast a shadow on me too. After a very short period I simply couldn't see it anymore. And when I say 'see' I mean the blurry outline. And other comparison I could make would be to the entity in the movie 'Predator'- it was that kind of effect.

I think I might have seen a socalled black project craft.

Dancing Lights over Greek sky.

The event took place almost an hour ago, moments after midnight on Wednesday September 4th.

While walking from South to North direction in Agria - Volos - GREECE, we saw three lights moving in parallel from east to west. The middle light was bouncing between the other two lights, moving like a pendulum. Soon after that the formation changed into a triangle that was continuously changing shape and dimension. Just as they were reaching Kassiopeia they aligned again and performed a very tight and fast 180 degrees turn without any reduction in speed. Right after the turn, the formation started changing again. For a moment the lights gathered close forming a bright single light but almost immediately it broke again in to the three lights, until it dissapeared in the light cloud generated by the nearby city of Volos (east).

The Sky was clear with no clouds.

The lights were as bright as a not-so-bright star, but there were fairly easy to spot, mainly because of their highspeed.

During a tranfer from Italy to Turkey in august 2001, the petty officer on the port side of the bridge called me outside (I was an Ensign in the italian navy at that time). I still do not exactly know what it was, but I saw three very bright spots that could have been the three angle of an equilateral triangle that converged towards the centre. As soon as the reached it, they moved at incredible speed in an eastward direction and disappeared after a few seconds.

Fast moving and violently zig-zagging orange light over the Greek Island of Mykonos

Well I assure you I never thought I would be submitting something to one of these sites, but I would really appreciate any suggestions about what my friends and I saw. In the early morning of April 13th, around 4:00 AM, on the from Paradise Beach on the Greek Island of Mykonos, two of my friends and I saw a strange orange light in the sky. My friends saw it exclaiming that they saw a shooting star. I looked up quickly expecting it already to be gone but it wasnt. It moved near the speed of a shooting star across the sky, which was very large given our location, above us. Then, about halfway across the sky it did something absolutely bizarre, it began zigzagging to the left and right at sharp, but seemingly identical, angles at the same high speeds as it crossed the sky. The whole thing might have taken eight seconds, but this thing definitely made about 10 radically sharp zig and zags before it vanished. I know of planes that could have crossed a sky that size in even less time, however, I know of know plane that can or would move like this. It had an orangish-yellow glow. Any legitimate suggestions would be appreciated.

Some won't believe it.

This situation has happened in Greece two years ago.One night I went to a disco with some friends,and we were going home we saw tow shiny objects that were doing circles.First we thought that they were birds,But we saw them again and they were coming towards to us.When they were coming closer we realised that they weren't but some sort of a disk.

We just saw a Bright Ball flying below the clouds...if it was an airplane we would hear it...(we are pilots)...it had a High Airspeed higher than a Fighter Jet...We just don't know what it was..

We where standing at the Road...and we started watching a thunter storm in Turkey. After that my friend asked me what the hell was a Bright Light Running from us to Turkey... It was a ball running too fast.. We know that if it was an Airplane we would hear it...or we would recognise it from its lights.. If it wasn't an airplane, what the hell was this thing? PS: it was like a big light ball...

On June the 5th 1999, one week before my wedding, my best man along with my friends and brothers surprised me by hosting my stag at a comedy club where that particular evening myself with a group of others were to be hypnotized. The evening went great and I had a wonderful time, and yes during the show I was one of the & subjects who was hypnotized. Trouble is just before my wedding date, I believe it was the Thursday, I started having dreams of a very different nature. I dreamt that I was awakened (as if I were right there in my body at that very moment not like myself standing by my bed watching me wake up, rather I was in my body within my dream.) and there were two short people with huge eyes and what I found funny about that was that they did not have any eye lids or eyebrows. It was hard to tell what they really looked like because it was dark in the room. I cannot say that they forced me as much as I volunteered to follow them. They spoke oddly without opening their mouths and before I could talk they would answer me. I don't remember much after that until the time that I was sitting on a very low chair, the kind you would find in a kindergarten classroom. Then I remember talking to them for a while and them telling me stuff about where they come from and then I don't know how the conversation started, but the next thing I know is that whatever the hell it was I was seated in became transparent on the upper half and I could see earth below me. Then we swerved extremely fast, just like you do when you go around the corner on a roller coaster, except that I did not feel much of the turn. Just then (I know it sound stupid) I felt like I was turning into water except without the water. It or I was like what you feel when you get a mild electrical shock, except that it did not hurt and it felt warm. The thing was it wasn't just me turning watery or melting which I think is more of an accurate description. Everything melted too the sun, stars, earth, and the next thing I remember is that I was hovering over some planet with domes on it. I remember asking if we were going to go down there, but they said no, and then I remember nothing. I was not forcibly confined unlike the stories you hear, and at all times I remember the feeling of free will. Yes I know what I am saying sounds crazy, but I cannot forgo the sounds, smells, touch, of every part of my senses. Since last year I have read that you can remember more under hypnosis, and I am willing to go a truth test and be hypnotized again. If I did experience this, I am sure my dreams of this are somewhat fantasized of what actually happened to me, if anything at all. But then I have been drawing stuff like triangles within triangles. I asked my friends if at any point the hypnotist even suggested to myself or anyone that we were on a UFO, but all of them said that that never happened, also I remember everything from the comedy club. My guess is that the best scanerio is that we can actually find out where they live, and the worst case is that I am pronounced as a stupid fellow with nothing better to do with his time but to dream the fantastic and scream wolf! UFO in Ermioni

On November 17th, 1998, at approximately 5:30 PM Greek time, I and my mother witnessed a remarkable UFO sighting while driving through the Ermioni region in the Peloponnese, Greece. The exact location is 37,50233° N, 23,19204° E. As we made our way back to Athens, we spotted a massive, dome-topped UFO hovering silently in the sky. The object, estimated to be around 15 meters in diameter, was enveloped in a radiant white glow emanating from its rim.

This unidentified craft remained stationary for nearly 40 seconds, seemingly having a clear view of our car as we had for it as well. Then, without warning, it began to ascend slowly, before abruptly accelerating upwards at an astonishing speed that surpassed the speed of sound. Unlike typical aircraft, its rapid ascent produced no visible sonic boom. Its movements were deliberate and controlled, as if it had paused to allow us a clear view. We continued our journey towards Athens without altering our route, maintaining a cautious pace as we processed this extraordinary experience.

The altitude of the UFO during its initial hovering was estimated to be around 3,000-5,000 feet. It was not a mere inexplicable light in the sky; it was an unequivocal sighting of a structured craft. Throughout this encounter, we felt no sense of immediate threat from the UFO.

Despite the significance of this event, we remained silent about it for the following two decades. Only now, after 26 years, have we decided to share our profound experience. We have no doubt whatsoever that we witnessed a non-terrestrial craft, propelled by technology far beyond our current understanding. Our encounter with the Ermioni UFO remains firmly etched in our memories, a testament to the vast and enigmatic mysteries that continue to unfold beyond our earthly realm.

While videoing some boats docked in the marina I happenned to video a yellowish glowing trail, 25 degrees off horizon, far away, during dusk.

There was one object, and it looked like a fireball, possibly a large meteorite entering the atmosphere but it looked like it had the velocity of an jet airplane. No blinking lights, no sound (too far away), just a steady fireball-like trail, off in the horizon, set against a beautiful sunset. It was really quite pretty. I don't know what it was and I couldn't identify it. I taped about 30 seconds of digital video (jvc digital video camera) and have no idea how to get a copy of the video to you (if you're interested). Whatever it is, it's my only experience with seeing something I couldn't identify and therefore I'm very proud of my little video! My guess is that it's a large meteorite and definitely not a plane, but I'm not skilled enough to make that call. Background: I am 31, a computer software engineer, and have a graduate school education.

Silver ufo stands still in the blue sky, and suddenly disappears.

I was around 16 years old when I saw the ufo. I was out in the afternoon for some football with a friend. When he went to catch the ball, I just saw that disk shaped, silver coloured object, standing absolutely still in the blue sky! No engine sound, no smoke from the turbines (like airplanes do), so I guess it was a ufo! When I turned my head to see where my friend had gone and then back to the sky, it had disappeared in thin air! After a few minutes, there it was again, in a different loction, but again still and soundless. It was quite far away too. Then it disappeared again and that was it…

At 1991 triangular bright yellow colored objects on black sky in central Greece,EU.

The event took place in summer of 1991 at night around 22.00 - 23.00 local time.

I live in central Greece, SE Europe.

The objects had triangular shapes with bright yellow color in a black sky.

they went straight and suddenly changed their track and again straight.

They moved like a saucer so you could see the angles of the triangles to change continuously their position. After some time they disappeared...

I was 12 yrs old at that time and was with mother and friends in central square of the city.

Many regions in greece had seen such objects at that time and a local newspaper had written that the regions match the air corridors of an emergency situation N.A.T.O. would use from bases in Italy and Germany. At that time was the crisis in Iraq.

Maybe secret weapons / technology??? I am 25 yrs old, University graduate and just finished my military service in the navy (compulsory here for 1 year)

While driving an big light covered all my car. nothing was in function.

It was night at 3:00 am and I was returning from my job. I was driving in a central road but there was no one there. I had the radio on and I was sleepy. There was no lights in the road. Suddenly while was everything ok, i slow down the car and one big light covered all my car! I couldn't see anything. The radio i had turned on stopped playing. White light, with searchlight-like beam, at 3AM on Crete.

One day in the spring of 1983, in the month of May, I hiked due east of the small fishing village of Paleohora, on the southwest coast of the island of Crete in Greece.

My destination was a remote, secluded beach that is located about a one hour hike from the village. To the north of the beach there is a high, straight, cliff and a ravine running up into the mountains. The ravine is a somewhat narrow gorge that is the location of an unusual stairway like ascent. With widely spaced, large stair-like rock formations, leading up into the mountains. The ravine itself is lined with numerous caves. It bears a remarkable resemblance to a stairway that was created over the millennia by the flow of water from the mountains, but was now dry.

I climbed up into one of the caves on the right side of the ravine that is a short hike up from the coast and fell asleep.

I awoke around 3 in the morning, sat up in a cross-legged position, and as soon as I did, a somewhat large, white light, with a searchlight-like beam proceeding from the front of it, passed by slowly, heading downhill, towards the coast.

It was as if something had woke me from a sound sleep so that I would see the unusual object.

It was only visible for a few seconds, 5 or 10 seconds as the most, but it was close, large, silent (much like the ravine itself, that was many miles from the nearest human settlement) and highly unusual to say the least.

I waited for about a half hour for it to return. When it didn’t I wrote it off as another day in western Crete and went back to sleep.

I was on the roof of our home (most houses in Athens at that time had flat roofs)with my Dad observing the stars with a small telescope. My Dad noticed what appeared to be a spacecraft in low orbit, illuminated by the sun which had just set. I saw it, then we both saw a second spacecraft (both pinpoints of light) "below" it, or in formation, abeam it and maybe 100 miles to the side of the other. We watched these for a few minutes, tracking our heads in the direction of travel, when we noticed with our peripheral vison a third light approaching from the opposite, and slightly below, other direction. They abruptly stopped when they met to form a perfect equilateral triangle. Then they paused, and moved off in a third direction. A short time later a family friend screeched to halt in front of our house, asked if we saw it and repeated our observation adding that he had had a yard full of people who also saw it.
