Bright white light traveling rapidly across the sky, then disappeared, in Prince Edward Island, Canada

It was a clear night with a phenomenal amount of stars. We watched a bright light traveling ESE from WNW at a rapid speed. It was the brightest light in the sky. There were no green or red flashing lights visible at any time. It took approximately 2 minutes to travel across the sky.

We had 4 witnesses.

It got smaller and smaller as we watched and finally disappeared.

One witnesses is a mech/elec engineer with several patents. He estimated the object to be flying at approximately 25,000 feet. Color temperature of the light was cold. It was way under the speed of a shooting star, way over the speed of an aircraft.

3 orange and yellow tinged objects in a clear evening sky over Prince Edward Island Canada

At approximately 11:35 PM on Saturday September 10th 2011, I was leaving a Blue Grass festival held at a recreation Centre in a camp ground facility called Marco Polo Land, near Cavendish, PEI. I had been doing the sound for all the bands and was leaving the park after my evening’s work.

I turned on to route 13 going south, from the facility. It was a bright moon lit night. As I drove, I looked up to see the moon and was surprised to see3 orange lights that appeared to be large but from a great distance. The three lights were in a perfect (upside down) triangle.

At first I thought that something could have been reflecting off the clouds, but quickly realized there were no clouds. At that point I didn’t know if the lights were from one object or separate.

I pulled over and stopped my vehicle.

Looking up toward the South East sky I noticed that the lights were moving in perfect unison toward the west..very slowly. It was then that I realized I was witnessing something very unusual. As I looked at each light I noticed that they were each more or less cylindrical but coming almost to a blunt end point at each end, and the ends appeared to shimmer. Each light was distinctly orange with a tinge of yellow through it. Again I emphasize that these lights formed a perfect inverted triangle, and I would guess that at the distance they were away, they could have be 20 to 50 miles apart.

As I watched, the lights, again in unison...stopped moving and were still for a good 30 seconds (my best guess). Then one by one each light turned (separately) and as best as I could tell, faded very quickly from view which leads me to believe they were actually separate objects moving away from my sight at a great speed, as each of them was quite slow in their turn, but faded very quickly into nothing. They didn’t just disappear, they faded very quickly... and again, one after the other but still maintaining the formation mentioned above.

I didn’t realized how bright they had been until they were gone, because when they disappeared it was as though the sky reappeared into a bright moon lit and cloudless sky, from being in the background of these lights.

I immediately told my wife and a visiting friend about it when I arrived home (about 5 miles away) and the next day, I mentioned it to my partner at the Blue Grass festival and he said he saw them too but put it off to weather balloons or “Chinese Lanterns”...but this is impossible as per my description above.

My friend and I were camping at twin shores, PEI. We were walking to the bathroom to get ready for bed at around 12:30 (midnight), we heard someone yelling from the beach and we walked to the beach where we witnessed for about 2 minutes a circular like fireball object, it was in the sky about 1/7th the size of the moon when we first saw it.

It was kind of like a bright orange orb that glowed on the outside, and when it got further away it ressembled a fireball.

We watched it to the point where it was too far away to see.

We observed one white, circular object which we thought at first was a plane flying across the sky. It exited some clouds and then began to fly in an erratic manner. It was flying in a zigzag away from us, making 90 degree turns without slowing down. It made at least 5 90 degree turns and then turned around and headed back towards us. It slowed down, flew in what seemed to trace a semi circle across the sky back and forth several times and then continued to fly in a zigzag pattern away from us until it disappeared behind a building.

We were in a hot tub at the time, stargazing. It was partly cloudy. Neither of us were wearing glasses or contacts. We were not under the influence of alcohol and neither of us has a cold that would affect our vision or hearing. We are both graduate level students in science.

The object was well lit up, on the clear night, was moving very slow, also the object didn't make any noise!

I am working in Borden Carleton and on my night shift. Borden Carleton is just over the Confederation Bridge. I was looking out the window of my work place and I spotted a large light in the sky. The light was a yellow light. The light started to flash slowly in and out. Then the light went out and 2 amber lights came on. They flashed for 20 seconds then the big yellow light came back on. This figure was moving very slow in the sky. Now its a very clear night with a full moon and absolutely no wind. I ruled out that its not a plane because of how slowly its moving. I figured it might be the coast guard or some sort of helicopter. The figure is over the water and moving in land. I seen it move alittle to the right, then move back on its track. I was on the phone with my girlfriend and telling her what I was seeing. I told her to hang on a second. I decided to go outside to see if I could hear what kind of craft it was. When I went outside, I didn't hear a thing. So that yold me it not a plane or a helicopter. So, its a full moon so I waited until it passed over the moons light, and noticed that it was the same size as a jet but there was no sound at all. Also it was moving really slow!! Theres no way it could be a jet. It was kinda like a diamond shape. Skinny looking front that got really wide. It was flying extremely low. My question is, Why was this figure flying so low, was very well lit up, and why didn't it make any noise?? I mentioned it to drivers in the area approximately the same time period, and they didn't see a thing. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen! Seeing it didn't really scare me. It was the fact it was so low and didn't make any noise at all!! Anybody help me out with this??

I was in the process of parking my car at my home when I noticed to the southwest approximately 15 degrees above the horizon a large ball of light, orange in color. It was brighter near the center then the outer edge. The object appeared to be approximately 5-10 miles away. It didn't appear to be moving. I observed the light for only a few seconds then looked down to put my car in park and when I looked back up it was gone. I have never seen anything like this object before. If I had to say what it reminded me of I would say a military flare but the light was much larger than any flare I've ever seen even up close.

I have posted before on here about the two to three objects ive seen over borden/carlton and have just recieved a phone call from my father saying he had seen the same thing. This time the glowing object flew straight across the sky making no sound and moving very fast. for a duration of about 1 min he said he watched it glowing and blinking all coulors in the same spot where i had told him ive seen it and it suddenly shot up into the sky disapearing very fastly. this would be the 4th time it has been seen over a period of 1 month

Over a period of 3 weeks i noticed a strange glowing object in the sky it was abnormally low and i knew it was not a star.

It was not the first ime i have seen somthing like this so i watched it for about 20 mins it would decend slowly then disapear.

WEEK TWO Its back i watch it and it does the same thing.

WEEK THREE me and my buddie were on my way to my place and he asked me if i have seen that weird thing i had told him about prior too, I said yes i had seen it twice and said to him we should look and see if its still there.........It was this time it went fast and was much brighter glowing yellow green red orange white, It moved up into the clouds and disapeared.

Not 3 mins later another pulling the same manuver straight up into the clouds disapearing it was then i noticed the third one very low to the ground moving quite fast behind some trees then disapeared.

By this time nothing more exiting was happening and decided to call it a night i have seen these things since but they will be back im sure of it. Ive seen them before same shape same coulous all at night over the years by myself and with freinds and family and am 100 percent sure it was not a craft of any sort man built that i know of

Then I noticed a really bright light coming from the West heading East. It was travelling at a unbelievable rate of speed, I tracked it for about 10 to 15 seconds. Then it appeared to make a slight right turn and just disappeared.

I was outside having a cigarette on our back patio, when I saw what looked like a fireball shoot across the sky horizontally. The object was in the southern sky travelling in a eastern direction, and it was pretty low between 500 and a 1000 feet aprox. The object also left a very long vapor trail behind it which hung in the air for aproximatly 20 minutes and had alot of sparks coming from behind it. I'm pretty sure this wasn't a meteor cause it was so low and it made no noise at all. I called my dad out right away and he saw the vapor trail left behind and he also couldn't believe it made no sound. I sure someone else must have seen this object, and I'd like to know if they did.

Conditions: Clear dark sky, no clouds or moon, temp 2C with a light breeze. My wife and I often look at the night sky while in our hottub. We are familiar the constellations, satellites and airplane routes. This oval reddish object was travelling SSW at least 2 to 3 times faster then any transatlantic jet we often see overhead. The object then veered 45 deg. to the right then sharply turned left 90 deg. I was going to dismiss this as just a bird flying but the object had a reddish glow and seemed luminescent as well as it was almost 10:30 pm. No sound was heard and this observation lasted for approx. 15 seconds. I enjoyed the expirience but it disturbed my wife. Did anyone else see this?

Hi im a 17 year old buy from prince edward island and last night i saw something that caused my dogs to go bizzerk. my 4 four friends and i were starting up our skidoos to let them warm up and we came inside my house as soon as we came in the skidoos turned off and the streetlight went out and the power to the house went out my parents who were is the shower thought i was playing tricks on them but they then found out where we were at that time. about 5 seconds later my 2 dogs petey and thomas went nuts even my moms cat the dogs were yelping and the cat was hissing at the window then there was tihs bright light in the yard that was as bright as a camera flash we then saw three objects that hovered like a yo yo for 5 minutes after the lights dimmed and these objects kept changing shape and formation they went from circle to a square then triangle formation and they moved up fast turned on likea 90 degree angle like a dime and then came lower to the ground when my mom tryed to use the cordless phone it wouldn't work and my cell kept ringing but when i answered it i just got static and weird noises like banging and humming sounds. after 25 minutes had passed a bright light appeared again and these three objects then shot up to the sky fast as hell. the the power went back on the dogs and cat settled down and everything turned back on except the skidoos. It even left a melted area in the snow of a triangle with circles on each tip and a strange sign like it melted the drift of snow in 25 minutes.

Could you please tell me,my friends,and my family that im not insane and that what we saw was hopefully from earth orgin.

Me and my father have seen a odd light on top of the Northumberland Strait almost every night from 10:00pm to 11:00pm for at lease the last 21/2 to 3 year. It is bright white, then changes orange - Yellow. It never has a sound and is around 100 feet in the air. It never takes off from land. You just watch in the sky at 10:00pm and it just appears out of no where! Then it is just in the sky not moving for 15-20 minutes and starts to go about 1 kilometer east, and then turns around and goes 1 Kilometer west.

But this night Febuary 20 2003 really took are attention.

It was 10:00pm. Me and my friend were at the beach. I told my friend about this light me and my father watch every night from 10 to 11. So we decided to go at the beach and wait for this light to appear. Around 10:15pm the light appeared once again.

I showed my friend so we watched it for 2 or 3 minutes then went home. I told my father the light was out again.

So we watched it from 10:15pm to 10:35pm. It did not move. Then around 10:36pm it started to move quickly toward east, then turned and went west the stoped. It then became very bright. And then out of no were a second same bright light appeared. Now there was two bright lights in the sky. Then we saw a plane going towards these lights.

The lights were not moving at this time. The air jet passed bettwen these two bright lights and went toward Moncton. After a few minutes the two lights were moving around east to west. Then out of no where, a third REALLY brighter light appeared. Now we were watching three really bright lights flying in the sky with no sound. We had never ever saw three bright lights flying around the sky before like this night. We were really freaked out. We watched them till around 11:15pm. Then they just dissapeared in the air with no trace. We talked to other people in our area, and they recall seeing that bright light before, but never took much attention to it. But me and my father took alot of attention into it and are very puzzled, on what this could be. It can't be a plane. Planes just don't sit 100 feet in the air not moving for 15 minutes then start to move back and forward on top of the water for and hour, almost every nigh of the week. Especially not three of them!!! Plus, we would be able to hear the engines if it was a plane. It can't be a hellicopter because, what would a hellicopter be doing out on top of the water (Northumberland Strait) every night flying around back and foward for 1 hour with no hellicopter noise. And it is for SURE not a weather ballon!!!!

Suspended white light with blue and red blinking lights low in sky on very clear night

In the Fall of 1999 I witnessed something that I will never forget. I had returned home from work a bit later then normal one evening with thoughts of changing my clothes and then going to visit a sick friend in the hospital which was only about a kilometre from where I lived.

I didn’t have much time to get there before visiting hours would be over, it was app. 8:40pm when I left the house, I lived on a road that only had a french school on it, at the end of the road was a privately owned mini-home community-where I lived. As I was nearing the french school I noticed a car going extremally slow, it was a neighbor that I talked to from time to time, he lived several houses down my street, he had his wife and kids with him and he was pointing toward the back of the french school which was close to the back of the hospital..........this is what I seen ! Hoovering, still as can be over a inlet of water about app. 200-300ft away and about 50-75ft up was a very bright white light shining down on the water that lit up everything beneath it like it was daytime, on each side of the white light was a blue blinking light and on each side of the blue blinking lights were red blinking lights, blinking about three times faster then the blue lights, my neighbor and I both pulled over to the side of the road and shut our cars off, this thing was totally silent, we watched it for several minutes and came to the conclusion that it wasn’t a plane, helicopter,balloon or anything else that we’ve ever seen before, my neighbor had to leave......I didn’t.

I drove up the road a ways to get a little closer to it, I turned off my car and sat against the trunk for about another several minutes observing when the bright white light in the middle of the craft dimmed and then started moving toward me, I was a little scared but more in awe of what I was observing, just as it neared me it turned in a 45 degree angle and headed toward the east and I watched it till it went out of sight.............it moved very slow but precise, no noise the whole time............I drove back home.

I told my wife what just happened....I dont know what she thought of it, but I had witnesses. I called the police and they told me to report it to the airport, and they put me through to the controll tower who told me there were no aircraft in in about 2hrs and none coming in for about another 2hrs, not a very big place.

About 15-20 minutes later there were about 4 small aircraft surrounding the area that I had seen the craft, I told them I watched it till it disappeared into the east so I dont know why they sent them up............curious I guess.

Anyways I’m not lying........dont need the attention ! ....just wanting to share...........since seeing this I have been trying to search for someone else who has seen this same formation of lights.

Silent aircraft hoovers near hospital

It was close to 9pm and our hospital was only a km away, I got off work late and wanted to visit a friend there.. I told my wife I would be back shortly, I drove down my road which only has a french school on it and is about a mile long. A car that was driving very slowly when I met up to it was my neighbor from several houses down the street, he had his wife and child with him and he was pointing while his wife and child were lookingout the window, it was dark by this time, I looked up. About apx. 1000 ft away, and about 500 ft in the air, a very bright white light in the middle, a flashing red light on both sides of the white light and a blue light flashing {slower then the red ones}on both sides of them. My first thought is that this is a helicopter, it was close to the hospital and helicopters come and go from there frequently. My neighbor then pulled over to the side of the road and so did I, we shut are cars off after watching it for a minute, this thing was not that far away, it wasn't moving at all, it was a lot larger then any helicopter that I've ever seen, and their wasn't one bit of noise coming from it....... we watched it idle and talked about it for a few more minutes, my neighbors left and I watched on, I drove my car a bit more up the road to be closer to it, after again turning off my car I watched it for maybe 5 more minutes before it started moving, ....it moved very slowly toward my direction and just before reaching me made a turn again keeping its same slow speed.....no noise, it headed toward the east untill it went out of site. ......sum it all up....I never seen anything like it, I phoned the RCMP and they told me to phone the airport and they put me through to the control tower at Ch'town airport, minutes after speaking with them and reporting it, their werea few small aircraft sent up to scout the area I mentioned to them.....but it was gone by then, I would also like to mention the fact that my road is very close to the airport....maybe 3 miles d! irect line...they told me at the control tower that their were no flights in or out of there in the last 2 hours, and that airplanes had a red light and a green light.......not blue........but then again...this was no plane.

Hovering craft over water

I left my house to visit a friend, on the way up to the highway from our road I noticed the car ahead of me was going very slow, I could see that it was my neighbor's car and there were other people in the car with him {his wife and two children} one of the children was pointing over to the left and when I looked over I saw the object.

It was hovering very still above the water about 1000 ft away and about 150 ft in the air, it was a very clear evening, the object had a very bright white light coming from the very center and on each side of the white light were flashing red lights and on each side of the red lights there were non-flashing blue lights.

My neighbor pulled over his car to the side of the road and I stopped behind him and we both got out, his family stayed in the car. He asked me what I made of that, I told him it obviously is not an airplane because its sitting perfectly still, my first thought was that it was a helicopter but it was too large and although his car was still running there didn't appear to be any sound coming from it.

As we stood there for a few minutes looking at it he told me they had to leave so I pulled up the road a bit closer to it and shut the car off. I watched it for another several minutes before it started to move toward me, there was absolutly no noise coming from this object, it was silent and it was moving very slow and the only change in the lights is that before it started to move toward me the bright white light in the center dimmed. As the object which was clearly a craft of some sort approached me it turned just app. 20 ft before it did, I was more in awe then I was scared, when it turned to the northeast it turned very smooth just like a car turns, it was also at its very closest at the turn point, it kept heading northeastward at the same slow speed just above ground at app 150 ft above ground level. I watched it till it was out of sight then I turned the car around and went home, I phoned the RCMP and asked if they had any calls about strange lights in the sky, after talking with them for a few minutes they told me to get in touch with the airport...so I did, and they put me through to the control tower, I told him my story and he was quite interested knowing that I sounded sincere. He told me that there have been no flights out in the past two hours and none were do in for another hour and a half {small airport} and he said that aircraft had a red light and a green light not red and blue lights - after the report to the control tower there were a few small planes I noticed circling around the area...but this thing was gone by then.

Since this has happened some years back I can not exactly remember the date, but the details as I have described them about the sighting are, I will never forget it, I have since moved not to far from there and occasionly talk with my former neighbor, we still agree what we seen that night.

one light became three and moved down to the ocean

I know it was a long time ago, but it is something I have thought of every day since it happened. Myself my good friend ryan and my girlfriend were walking along the beach when we saw a light over the ocean in the distance At first we thought it was a very bright star, but then another smaller light emerged from underneath it and then a second. For about 30 seconds the two smaller lights seemed to be slowly moving in a figure eight pattern then proceeded to move down to what looked like the surface of the ocean. They moved back and forth across the water and the slowly made their way back up to the original ball of light moving in figure eight pattern the whole time then one by one they merged into the original light which then began to slowly rise for maybe 20 seconds and then seemed to shoot up silently into space in the blink of an eye. I know its been a while but i swear this is what we saw and it has changed my view of life forever..((name deleted))

A silent, floating, rectangular object the size of a football field, skimming the tops of buildings.

It was a clear summer evening, and I was riding my bike with a friend to accompany her part-way home before dark.

As we approached the intersection, I turned left to see if anything was coming - and there it was, slowly "floating" noiselessly over the trees toward us. It looked to be only skimming the top of the school and the mall, and was at least the size of a football field. It was rectangular in shape, dark grey, dull metallic appearance. Seemed to have many compartments or components on the bottom, and had one red light following behind it. It had a peaceful feeling, and I felt no fear. My friend however, was terrified and wouldn't look at it. I haven't been in touch with this person for years, and she would never talk about it. It was travelling from the east in a northwest direction... directly toward the local air base. Although it seemed to be barely moving, it was getting out of sight rather quickly. I raced home and called the control tower at the base, and they said they had seen nothing. They told me I had likely seen the "Thunderbirds" who were there at the time ! for an air show. Even though other sightings had been reported the same week of a "flying door" less than 30 miles from where I saw it, the reaction of most people was disbelief and/or mockery. After coming across this site more than 30 years later, I feel somewhat vindicated.

Speeding light from horizon stopping and turning 90 degrees at high speed and then hovering overhead.

My sister-in-law and niece were together with me in a back farm field (very dark) 5 miles east of the city. A bright light looking like a star moved very quickly from southern horizon approaching us and suddenly stopped directly over our heads -- this took about 1 minute.

It immediately turned 90 degrees and quickly sped away to west at same speed for about 5 seconds. It then came to a sudden stop and hovered clearly visible to us over- head. I checked every hour from 8 PM to midnight but it remained stationary. It remained looking like a star but impossible to determine altitude.

To me as a medical doctor psychiatrist, it is impossible for light to stop and make a 90 degree turn at high speed. We saw no actual craft.

I WAS PLAYING AT MY FRIEND'S HOME AFTER SUPPER AND HER MOTHER WORRIEDLY REMINDED ME IT WAS LATER THAN SHE REALIZED. HER OLDER DAUGHTER WAS AWAY. THERE WAS NOBODY TO WALK ME HOME.

I BRAVELY SAID I WOULD BE OK, I WALKED BACK AND FORTH TO SCHOOL ALONE. BUT NOT AT DUSK, SHE SAID WORRIEDLY.

ABOUT HALFWAY HOME SOMETHING I SAW ACROSS THE FIELDS OF MY FATHER'S FARM ALERTED ME...BALLS OF LIGHT LIKE BALOONS IN THE SKY, FLOATING ABOUT...NO,PLAYING TAG, PERHAPS.

SUDDENLY, ONE CAME SPEEDING IN A STRAIGHT LINE TOWARDS ME AND I FRANTICALLY LOOKED FOR A PLACE TO HIDE, FEELING IT HAD SPOTTED ME AND I WAS IN SOME KIND OF MORTAL DANGER. IT WAS OVERHEAD IN AN INSTANT.

AS I LOOKED UP A TERRIBLE FEELING OF WEAKNESS SEEMED TO ROOT ME TO THE SPOT AND CAUSE A STRANGE BEATING OF MY HEAR.

ON LOOKING BACK I COULD HAVE BEEN ABDUCTED BUT NOT FOR LONG. THERE SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN A SHORT INTERVAL, BECAUSE MY NEXT MEMORY IS OF STANDING ALONE ON THE GRAVELLED ROAD. A LITTLE "OF FIRE," I LATER DESCRIBED TO MY PARENTS AS BEING "AS BIG AS THE BARN - BUT NOT HIGH LIKE THE BARN."

AT THAT MOMENT I COULD ONLY RELATE TO SOMETHING BIBLICAL,THE END OF THE WORLD,AS I GAZED IN TERROR
