Large light source

I saw a bright yellow light in the distance from my garden. The light was spherical and resembled a large fireball that did not move. When recording with my phone, I had zoomed in. The movements that the sphere made I possibly caused myself by manually recording. I stopped recording because I heard something. When I looked back, the sphere was gone. I estimate that the sphere was visible for about 1 minute.

Incredible

At approximately 21:33, a cylindrical unidentified flying object (UFO) was observed hovering over Antwerp. The object appeared metallic, reflecting ambient city lights, and had a smooth, seamless surface with no visible wings, propellers, or traditional aircraft features. It was estimated to be about 10-15 meters in length and remained stationary for roughly 30 seconds before accelerating eastward at an extraordinary speed, disappearing within seconds.

The object emitted no noise and showed no visible means of propulsion. Some witnesses reported a faint glow or haze surrounding it, suggesting a possible energy field.

Group of lights flying in various directions

At a pretty high altitude it seemed, we saw a group of 10 to 15 "lights" flying in the south-east region of the sky. Within the group, the objects were flying in random directions, quiet fast, getting closer to each other then separating. It lasted a few minutes, we didn't have the chance to see how they disappeared as we were looking for a phone to capture an image and by the time we went back to the window, they were gone. They were different colors : red, orange and green. Their way of flying make me think they were not starlink satellites. Definitely not planes. I saw some images of drones sightings lately in the US, Argentina or Germany and it looks like what I saw.

Black triangular shaped object, seen by 3. In real life the object was much more visible than dashcam. No lighting, no wings or exhaust

I've been following the phenomenon for about 10 years now, but today I had what might have been my first strange encounter! I was driving in Sint Truiden (Belgium) when I noticed a triangular shaped object in the sky and captured it with my dashcam. It was black, without visible lights which are required when flying in Belgian airspace, and if I have to make an estimate I would say about 30-40 feet in size and around 500 meters in the air, but I'm not sure It certainly wasn't a plane, no obvious wings (the video is less clear than what I saw with my eyes, fish eye made this object appear further and thus less clear). Anyone know what this might have been? It wasn't going very fast, maybe 200kph? My son (12 years old) also saw it from the back of the car and he also verified it to be triangular and without lights. My 5 year old saw it too but he has no clue what it might have been, but when discussing it with him I asked if it looked like a plane and he said it didn't, it was a black triangle.

There is an airfield nearby but I'm 100% sure it wasn't a plane or a drone. A plane would have wings, lights, a propellor or jet and noise. A drone would have been much slower, smaller and also with lights, plus drones are not allowed at that location. It just cruised at. A steady pace from south to north. I saw it pretty clear and it had no markings. I also played with settings of a screenshot where you can make out the triangular shape more clearly

Looked up to see a mass of lights as big as a city moving in unisen from S to N about 30-36° wide no sound present

I was up atop Iron's Mt. to get away from the light pollution to try to get a glimpse of the comet. My compass was not working. Neither was my Night Sky App or my Stargazer App. I got frustrated and turned to the East to place my arms on my car and put my head across my arms. When I did that I looked up and a giant mass of lights as big as a city was up in the stars. At first I thought it was the comet, but it was WAY too long and huge to be one. I have seen many meteor showers in my day. This is my favorite viewing spot near where I live because of the absence of light pollution. When we see a meteor it only lasts for a split second. Even my wife thinks I am crazy and tells me to keep this to myself. That is unfair. After it disappeard, I turned on my video on my phone hoping it would show up again. I recorded for a minute or so and nothing reappeared. I was too shocked and stunned to video at first because in my 58 years of life, I have never seen anything I could not explain.

Approx. 5-foot wide orb that was the mixed color of fire encapsulated in glass hovered above rural tree line before disappearing

I was sitting, facing northwest, at a lit firepit near the eastern shore of Norman Lake. My brother and his husband sat with me for a bit. The sky was turning from dusk to night and we were using the app Starwalk to identify the first stars visible. We are visiting from the city, so I was excited to be in a place with little light pollution. The moon phase was a waxing crescent with an illumination of 22.16%, so the low light of the moon made for a darker sky. I was specifically trying to figure out where Venus and Mars would be, but the conversation took over and I forgot about trying to get the answer.

They eventually left and I sat alone out by the fire for some time, until things got completely dark. Staring into the fire, I began to meditate. The lake was visible through the flames a few yards away. As I stared into the flames, I noticed the reflection of Mars in the lake. This pulled me out of my meditation because I was reminded of my unanswered question from earlier. I was shocked at how bright it shone in this dark region.

I looked up at where it would be, only to realize that it wasn't the planet that I was looking at. Sitting completely stationary about 70 feet high in the sky just feet over the treeline, was an orb that was approximately 5 feet wide. It was perfectly round and was shaded in red and bright orange ombre. The middle of the orb had a black dot that was surrounded by a white light. It shimmered like a star would in the atmosphere, but it wasn't far enough away for the atmosphere to have that effect yet.

It stayed stationary for a good minute or two before simply disappearing. It didn't fizzle out, it didn't move, it just ceased to be visible in the sky, like the switch of a light.

I am a professional drone operator with a Parts 106 license. This object was not a drone. There was no sound, and it didn't undulate as it hovered, it stayed completely still and remained stationary in the sky.

The following day I attempted to get to the part in the forest across the lake to see if there was anything or anybody. Since the lake was dammed up last year by an adjacent property, the lake has risen a few feet with rainfall the last year. This has flooded the trails to this portion of the land and can only be accessed from the lake by boat. Once you get to the treeline, it's all bog. The area behind the land is a small nature preserve, and beyond that is farmland. It's rural and there are no airports nearby. Although this was a bog, this orb was not "swamp gas" as it was a solid object that had obvious light emitting from it from an interior source.

After giving it some time to think about it, I realized that I had been staring out into the water for a good 10 minutes or so until the object caught my attention. This means it appeared as it disappeared, instantly.

Shimmering light in the distance

Working on a oilfield lease site. While working I looked to the east and saw a bright shimmering light about a half mile to the east of us. The object appeared to be hovering and not moving toward or away from us. I called out to the crew and three of us got not on our phones. Observed for about 5-10 minutes I looked away to do some work, and when I looked back to the east it was gone.

I looked at just the right time and I saw there level above the treetops, a white sphere as clear as day moving quiet quickly but steady enough towards the North / Northeast. It was as if it moved in a perfectly straight way horizontally. It just flew through. I could not believe it. It was still bright out and the sun was out for the next hour or more after. I saw it. It was a flying white sphere. It was visible to me for only a few moments before my house blocked it's view.

Initially, the object appeared to be flying at approximately 10-20k ft in a westerly/south-westerly direction.

The object itself appeared to be a bright light. I could not make out the shape. I had spotted the object while driving, so I also had to watch the road. In my mind I was thinking, “I see you” and then the object suddenly changed direction as if it had read my mind and it was heading in my direction. I got a better look although it was probably still 1-5 miles away from me, but still could not make out the shape. After another 5-10 seconds, the object changed direction again and flew over Mt Charleston at a very high rate of speed. It flew at an upward angle over and beyond the mountain and was out of sight within about 1.5 seconds. It flew much faster than a fighter jet and did so quietly. I used to live next to a military base where jet fighters were constantly flying, so I know how they move and sound. This object was no jet. I am currently retired. I have a bachelor degree from USC and I previously worked in IT for a major chip developer.

I climbed the flatiron of pusch peak the night of Tuesday, may 14th, to see the fireworks for CDO high schools graduation to the west from above. The graduation ceremony went very late, and I was sitting on the mountain for some time after sunset before the fireworks show. At one point, sometime shortly after 8pm, I looked up to the north to see a large yellow, orange tinged orb/circle above the samaniego ridge. I could not tell how far away it was. It seemed still. It shone for a few seconds, and then faded quickly, as if someone quickly twisted the knob on a dimmer light.

Flashy white lights

The following lights I’ve seen them this year on January 4th 2024. Like a week or 2 I am getting those really mad dreams with the lights that I have seen during that night.

At first sight, there were only 2 of those lights and suddenly out of nowhere 4 of them got added. They were doing those kind weird moves. I thought that it was a festival but it was just above a house and there was no music at all.

They came back together synchronized. I’ve seen lights on festivals but nothing that looked like that. Also, I was on the phone that night with my brother and something said that I had to look in the skies. I was just amazed of how those lights were moving and suddenly they just disappeared.

A black triangular shaped object was observed while driving down the highway. It flew in a straight line. I was sitting in the passenger seat in the front of the car driving on the highway. While randomly looking at the sky to the right, I saw a triangular shaped object flying high in the sky in a straight line directly over our car. It appeared very high and was difficult to record on my phone due to me sitting in a car. I have provided a picture. The object was very tiny and I was really lucky to have seen it, as it was not big enough to catch your attention. I have witnessed the exact same object while sitting in a garden some afternoon. Exact date was unknown. It was in North-Brabant, Netherlands somewhere between 2016-2019. At that occasion it were around five of these objects closely together flying in the same direction very high in the sky.

I saw what I initially thought to be a star from a plane, literally drop really fast under the horizon and then slowly rise back up.

We were flying above turkey and at around 5am, while a few stars were still visible, I saw a bright dot (I thought it was a star at first) drop straight down, very quickly below the horizon, so that I couldn’t see it anymore from the plane window, because it was “behind the earth” by then. Then a couple seconds later, it started rising again and it slowly ascended back to where it originally was. I tried to wake up my boyfriend to watch too, but he was sleeping sound. I took a video of it once it was back where it started, but it all happened too fast for me to take a video of the whole event, so I unfortunately don’t have video of it falling and rising back up. It was not the plane turning, it was not another plane, and it wasn’t a light reflecting. This was something I have never in my life seen before and I’ve flown a LOT. This was not anything human operated (as far as I know we don’t have technology capable of something like this). I fully believe this was not only a UFO, but actually an extraterrestrial alien object

Mass star migration in a staight long line

Straight long line of star-like lights, moving at a speed faster than an airplane much much smaller than a falling stars. (I think comparable to that of the ISS passing.) Looked like an ordered mass star migration. The first part of the line of star-like lights was very dense, with many lights following close to each other. Then the line got less and less dense, and some lights were following at distance much further (maybe at 3 times the length of the dense part). All in one very straight line.

50 or more light spots in a straight formation

There were maybe 50 lightspots in a very straight formation, at the begin of the tail there lightspots were close to each other and towards the end of the tail less and less dense, lenght of the tail +/-200meter or even longer. At the end of the tail the spots were not regular spaced. The spots flow over Zaventem airport towards Antwerpen. The speed was quite low, similar to and normal airplane. Plausible explanation, a meteor that exploded but quite odd to have so much points. I tried to take a video on my mobile phone, but got only a dark video.

Square drone shape the size of a stadium

It was a square drone shape , it was low in altitude, probably less than a 1000 feet from the top of buildings. It was absolutely silent , no sounds coming from it . It was the size that was impressive, at least the size of a football stadium, just huge black drone . It was very slow moving, 15 -20 miles per hour.we stopped the car in the middle of the road and got out to just have a clearer look

Red glowing object flying by on a cloudy night.

About 2 weeks ago I was looking through my bedroom window around midnight. The sky was completely covered with clouds.

Around 23:55 I saw a red light in the sky moving from the north-east to the south. Thinking it was just a plane, I didn't really pay much attention to it. Until I noticed it was impossible for a plane to be visible because of the cloudy weather and the red light didn't flinch like those of a plane would.

Because I'm an amateur astronomer, I grabbed by binoculars as fast as I could. When I was back at the window with my binoculars the object was already halfway, so in the east direction. When I looked at the object I still had no idea what it was. It looked like an egg shaped object with a red light in it. Because it was very cloudy, I guess the light must have been very bright. Because no other objects were seen (stars, planes, ...) The object suddenly vanished and was never seen again.

I discussed this sighting with others, but no one come up ! with an answer to what it could be. After searching on the web, I found similar pictures of red objects in the sky. One of the which looked the most to what I've seen was also in Belgium and also around midnight.

Thanks for the help to resolve this mystery, it deeply concerns me.

3 coloured star like object moving erratically.

Well, my wife and I were looking up and a beautiful night sky when we saw a star like object emitting 3 lights in triangle shape. The shape was moving erratically without a defined course. It moved erratically but slowly and moved towards south eventually disappearing out of sight.

It had 2 lights of white on top and 1 red on the bottom, but they were not flashing they were constant.

I am not sure what it is. I am an aviation enthusias, so i know how planes and flying objects move, and this was not something that I could recognise. It seems to me that it was out of the atmosphere or at least very high.

Hope that others have seen this as well.

Strange objects kept hanging still for about an hour high in the sky .....

Hi, i'm a carp fisherman, that means i spend a lot of time at the waterside and outside in nature ..... what i saw last week i never saw before, at first it was like i saw 3 little v shaped clouds in the sky .... when i looked again afther a half an hour they were still there, same place ... i was in the possession of a monocular and to take my pictures i have a Nikon 26x zoom ... when i used these i saw that it wasnt a cloud, it looked like an airplane at first, but things didnt make sense to me. At first the jeststream goes up, there were 3 big lights on it and they kept hanging still for over an hour ....

i didnt see them leave, i looked away and when i looked back there was no sign of them anymore ...

Huge bright light in belgium moving over city TERNAT

I was sitting outside after i went to an event of my daughters school.

I didnt consumed any alcohol or drugs.

I was just smoking a sigar wen i looked up and suddenly i saw it, it was something between a circle and a square maybe oval it was as bright as xenon lights and it appeared in the middle of the sky and moved for 6 sec downwards and then the bright light vanished.

I'm very skeptical erson about those kind of things but when i saw this i know it was something from out of space and not an satelite or plain.

O studied airplaintechnics so i know its not from a plain. believe me.

VERY large Chevron shaped craft, low to ground, no noise, no lights. Visual contact for 30 seconds.

Standing on our back porch I noticed that some of the stars were consistently disappearing and then reappearing. Focusing our eyes we could see that the reason was because of a large flying object. Slowly moving north to south . The flying object was low to the ground. My husband has a large amount of experience with planes. He said that it was flying steady at about 2000 feet. I extended my arm to the sky stretching my thumb and pinky finger out until I could fit the unusually large object in between the empty space. There was about 6 inches of space between thumb and pinky. Approximately 30 seconds had gone by and the large object disappeared into the distance.

I was standing outside, smoking a cigaret, looking up to the sky. I saw a white-blue ish light shoot across the sky.

It was about twice the size of the average star and had the speed of a low flying airplane.

At first, it seemed logical to be a shooting star, but I have seen tons of those before and it was nothing like that. It couldn't have been a plane. I work at an airport, I know what a plane looks like.

The light travelled across the sky for a second or two, then dissappeared again, just like you'd epect from a shooting star sighting.

I was just watching UFO Hunters on History channel and they were talking about this exact thing that I saw, being spotted around Area 51 apparently. They couldn't explain its origin, purpose or really anything about it. What made me write and submit this report, was a very similar report from the UK on the exact same moment as my sighting.

I and a work colleague were locking up the office in which we work. Opposite to the office are two apartment buildings and a large car park. A bright light in the sky caught my attention. As we walked across the street I began to doubt it was an aircraft of Christmas decoration so I stopped to watch this light. The light moved slowly in the sky and passed behind the two apartment buildings and over some workshops bordering the car park. The light was elliptical, orange and smaller than most conventional single-propeller driven aircraft and appeared to be slightly blurred. I doubt the light was above 400m in altitude. Neither I or my colleague are able to explain this.

very fast yellow dot.

I went outside for a walk because I was bored and couldn't sleep. So I was just standing around in my street with a cigarette for a while. Then some dogs started barking at me to my left. But then as I turned my head to my left I saw a very bright yellow dot departing from the horizon. I'm not sure if it was departing from the ground. It flew my direction untill it was above me (not perfectly right above me or something) and then seemed to fade away into space. This all happened very quick, about 4 seconds. It looked a little bigger than a star. it's speed, color and brightness reminded me a lot of a so called falling star but it lasted too long for being one and didn't leave a trail , wich makes it something worthy to report for me.

Formation of spheres over Brussels

I have always been interested in the ufo phenomenon, but I was always sceptical about observations of spheres during day- or nighttimes, as reflections, birds, etc. can betray the human eye so easily. That was until today.

At exactly 12:05 noon time I was standing outside in the garden, looking roughly eastwards, when I observed a loose formation of 5 or 6 shining identical spheres heading from the South East towards the North West (I was so fixed on the phenomenon that I simply forgot to count the number of spheres, but I am sure there were at least five of them).

The sky was perfectly clear, blue with no clouds, and with an almost unlimited visibility, with the sun shining in the South (noontime) and a light surface wind coming from the North East. Some contrails of aircraft, as well as the aircraft themselves were clearly visible at high cruising altitude.

The spheres were reflecting the sunlight at their backsides (sun side) as if they were from polished aluminium.

The formation was visible during approximately 25 seconds. During that time of observation they travelled trough an arc of view of approximately 110 degrees (because of their relatively high speed, I did not have the opportunity to pick up my camera inside the house). The formation itself stayed together within a field of view of approximately 25 degrees, but their movements were very erratic, overtaking each other with brisk accelerations, and then slowing down again, and with brisk changing of directions over about 10 to 15 degrees deviation from the groups heading, before regaining the general track. During the observation the group travelled at an elevation of approximately 50 degrees above the horizon. They left no contrails behind them.

There was no audible sound until the silence was disturbed by an airliner that had just departed from Brussels International Airport (about 8 km away), departing from runway 25R, turning to the North West as a standard instrument departure towards the Nikki, Costa or Koksy VOR. At that moment the group of spheres was about to disappear behind the roofs of the houses North of my location. The airliner turned towards the general direction of the spheres but never passed in front of them from my point of view, so it was impossible to have any form of reference towards their distance and dimensions. In my opinion the spheres must have been visible from the cockpit of that airliner (especially from the co-pilot’s position) although they seemed a lot higher and faster.

As I said, I had no reference, no cloud base, and they didn't pass under or over any contrail present, but if you allow me a rough estimate, I would say that if the diameter of the spheres were around 20 feet, I would estimate their altitude at around 15000 feet, but that is only a guess.

These objects were certainly no balloons (too fast and against the wind direction), no birds at altitude (light reflection, far too fast, and not the same flight behaviour) and seemed clearly under intelligent control. What I found the most stunning was the brisk acceleration and deceleration when they were changing their relative positions. As they flew over a densely populated area it seems almost impossible that no other person should have made the same observation. By the way, just after the spheres disappeared behind the roofs of the neighbouring houses, I phoned my wife who was at work at that time, a couple of km North of my location (at that moment they should also still have been visible from there) but I could not make immediate contact, so I have nobody to confirm my observation. As these spheres were crossing straight trough the Brussels TMA and Control Area, I wonder if the air traffic controllers would have given a departure clearance to any airliner if they should have been visible on their radar screens!

3 big round/ovalshaped balls of light, magnitude -4 aprox., hanging still in a triangle formation 25-30° above the western horizon

Yesterday evening (Thursday 06 September 2007) around 20h25 I was travelling alone by train from Leuven to Mechelen (Belgium) reading the newspaper. When I looked up I dropped my paper cause I saw suddenly 3 balls of light hanging still in the air in a wide triangle-form. My first thought was it was maybe a reflection of my window, but it definitely kept hanging there on the same spot and when a rising cloudformation covered 2 of the 3 objects after 3 minutes of watching it out of my train window, it ruled out the possibility of being a window reflection.

It appeared like they were reflecting sunlight though because they were hanging in the late-evening western part of the sky, and looked orange/yellowish. They appeared to have a round form but rather oval, it’s hard to say, but they definitely didn’t appear to be pointy like a star. Furthermore, the light didn’t appear to be coming from a concentrated spot like you have with the flare of a plane or a planet/star, they looked like bright ‘ink’spots in the air, so they should have been really big.

I believe they were hanging 25 to 30 degrees above the western horizon and I could look at them for at least 3-4 minutes! Then a cloud covered the bottom 2, which formed the basis of the triangle you could say, and only the upper one was visible. The train then made a curve and I lost them out of sight. Later in the car I pulled over a few times to have a look when I was outside the city, but that cloud had risen so they were just gone or behind the cloud but I haven’t seen them after.

I estimate they had the magnitude of Venus at its brightest, magnitude -4, but it was like there were 3 wide (no-pointlike/starlike form but broader in shape) Venuses hanging in the sky exactly in a wide triangle form, on a great distance I guess cause a cloud at the horizon covered 2 of them.

I ‘ve seen all kinds of phenomena and have been a member of an observatory/amateurastronomer for 8 years (not anymore now) so I know basis meteorological and astronomical phenomena. I have watched the skies for so many hours and nights and seen a lot, from magnificent fireballs and meteors to satellites and iridium flashes, but nothing that was unexplainable. Never ever I saw something as yet uncomprehensible like this. If it was there, there should have been lots of people who saw it cause it was bright and clear., I don’t understand it hasn’t been on the news yet.

Dear Yesterday my sister saw a flying object it flew high, she thougt that it was a plane, but when she look better she saw an oval with a lot of white light and in the middle a red light.

The object flew from the north and twisted to the west.

I know that she not lies, because a few years ago (I think 6 years) I saw the same thing. Then it flew from south to north. (During: 4 seconds)

Gentlemen, my person saw at the date and time ( could be I missed a few hours or a day because it was in the distance ) a non moving object with a blinking white bleu light ! I just did not pay attention to it but had to laugh and thought a UFO of the Belgium cops.

Shape was in the far away distance flay like a disk ( typical ufo shape ) completely white but a blinking light to the side what is along myself something of humans but I dont know.

Lightshow above our home

After discharging the car and a little talk, we wanted to say goodbye.

Suddenly I looked up to the sky and saw a circular movement of light, which I had never seen before.

We all saw a light, a round form, with rays around, turning, anti-clockwise.

There was no noise, and it circled above the house, turning over the roof and declined when it was at the corner of the dogs’ house.

As the light came closer, its form became clearer, the turning movement stronger and it got a very strong, pulsing ‘eye’ in the middle. (Estimation of its size: about 10 meter).

It took about half a minute to do the complete circle over the house.

After 5 minutes, my friends got in their car and went home, I kept on looking to this beautiful light and went inside after 15 min. One hour later, I went outside to look, it still was there, but less bright.

I can guarantee you that it wasn’t a laser from one or another disco- the house is situated in the middle of creeks and agriculture. And we were standing right under the light, and saw not one vertical projected line.

It felt like a very peaceful and special experience, without any feeling of fear.

I wrote a letter to a specialist, and got the answer and confirmation that is was an UFO from Mars.

Afterwards, there were a lot of other signs on and around the house, which confirmed again the presence of UFOs.

Sorry, but my english isn't so good.

- At 07/14/2005 at 23:58 local time we had a verry clear night in Belgium.

- 'De Panne' is a little town on the Belgium coast near to France.

- I wass sitting on my roof looking at the stars, when a saw a verry large triangle in the sky.

- It was black and made no noise. On every point of the triangle there was a verry large and bright white light.

- It wass flying from the S to the N --> Sea - There wass light all around the ship (aura) - I believe it didn't fly verry high, because it wass verry great, but can say the exact distance from the earth.

- It wass also flyong verry fast. I had a large vue, and in about 10 sec, it disepired from the skyline.

It was frightening.

Suddenly, a big oval shaped thing appeared in the sky, near the star sign of the Great Bear. It was very shiny and the shape changed colours, bright lights like red and green.

It also made strange, metallic noices. It flew in a circle first, but then random, really fast, like a fly. Then, after a while, it suddenly flew towards the west.

The time of the events are late in the evening 29 October in Belgium! Events happened around 12 o clock CET when going to the city Kortrijk from the north with a car on the little roads ! Real early this morning around at the north north of the city of Heule in West Flanders in Belgium above a field, a silent craft with lights as a helicopter but brighter (different lights) seen from a distance of a kilometer and then moving towards the city of Heule without sound but with bright lights as a helicopter but no sound. The movement was about 15 meters above ground but slowely, I moved on to look from another angle on a higher place but did not found it ! A second sighting was in the city of Kuurne a black mass with leights in a side road to the main center not clear but with strong lights that were on. No sound was present also. I did not stop but drove on ! Two sightings occured in the distance the first one far away, the second in a sideroad when you pass and the second craft was not seen moving. The first craft moved to the south, south west ! I really did not take any moments to get out of my car because I had no camera, there was NO SOUND PRESENT ! Could you give this to people who knows what this could be because I fear universities are experimenting here in West Flanders in Belgium, strange electricity segements also on the little roads!

I actually want to report a Unifentified Falling Light. I personally do not believe in little green man although there is inevitable proof of alien lifeforms blabla.

The event: I was sitting inside (alone - unfortunatly) when suddenly i saw something moving just in my sight, outside at the sky. When I turned to see what it was it, at first sight, appeared to be a falling star. However with no tail. It kept on flying and flying at a speed much SLOWER than a falling star but FASTER than an airplane (no sound of an airplane heard however at weekends - when the fact occured - several REAL airplanes flew over) untill it was beyond my sight. It seemed to come down, which is impossible because I leave in a small village in belgium and the nearest airport is Zaventem.

I do know what a falling star and a plane look like, and I can tell by the mere 10 seconds I saw the object it was none of those 2. It was not a reflection on the window or any other visual delussion because the lights were out inside causing no reflection on the windows. it was NOT a flashlight or so, I live on the second floor. I'm a real sceptic, and do not believe in the X-File way of UFO's. (Although I'm a fan of the series, it doens't affect my visual observation.) Just the report of an Unindentified Flying Object. I did not mention aliens of any kind ;-).

7 lights in formation, changing positions

While star-gazing from the balcony of my apartment, I suddenly saw 7 lights flying in formation at about 2 kilometers (estimated) from the ground. These objects constantly changed positions, were very bright and made absolutely no noise whatshowever, even though they seemed to be moving at a decent speed. Six of them were pretty close to each other, except for one light that was a bit further away. After about 20 seconds they all seemed to gain height, became smaller and eventually disappeared.

This sighting was very remarkable and has left me stunned. Shortly after seeing the objects (a few hours) I wrote this report. I also checked recent reports on the NUFORC website and discovered similar sightings that took place in Edmonton, Canada.

A friend and me were on a nightwalk on the camping, as we approched a forrest we looked up at the moon. Don't know what happened, but we both just looked up at the same time, like something just called us to look up... We saw a circled thing with about 10 lights on it, it just lightened the whole sky. As we looked to eachother to ask did you see that, we looked up again and we saw it 1 sec and it was gone... the lights were out and we didn't see it anymore... It couldn't be a plain, cause even a plain isn't that fast...

Bright 'satellite' fades away in a couple of seconds

On 27 July 2003 at 23.46 local time (GMT+2) my son (16) and myself went out into the garden to observe the passage of the ISS, which according to the “heavens-above” website should reach maximum altitude (86 degrees) at 23.48 hours at our location (51.00 N, 4.617 E) with a magnitude of –0.7. The trees in the garden restrict the observable altitudes to about 70 degrees. The sky was clear. Just when the ISS emerged from the west over the trees, we spotted a very bright white light moving in from the south at about the same speed as the ISS but with slightly higher magnitude. It looked as if it was cruising very high in the sky and there was no sound. This second “satellite” moved steadily for about 10 seconds along its path perpendicular to that of the ISS, and then suddenly started to fade. Within a few seconds its magnitude fell (in an orderly fashion) from brighter than the ISS to zero without changing direction. It had vanished before its path crossed that of the ISS, which remained visible until disappearing in eastern direction behind the trees at the other side of the garden. According to the “heavens-above” website there were no other satellite passes or iridium flares that could have explained this observation, neither was it an aeroplane. In view of the light intensity involved and provided that the respective heights match, the ISS crew may have observed the phenomenon.

Two unidentified aircrafts in Belgium making cirle-like symbols.

on the evening of the 2nd of March, me and my roommate were smoking a cigarette out of our room. it was already dark so you could see the citylights below (we live in a high appartment). We were silent and watching the sky looking for falling stars, when my roommate noticed a big light high in the shy north of us. First we thought: a comet or something. But suddenly that one bright light became to less bright lights, and they were fast moving troughout the sky, they made a cirle-kind shape. suddenly they stopped and the light vanished. we could see them clearly now. It were two very smooth airlined silver aircrafts, and i mean silver,shiny metal. you could see the light of town ond the bellow of the ships. and then as suddenly as they appeared, they disappeared with a bright trail, probably the engines. The first few moments we didn't believe what we just saw, i am (was) not realy a believer, but this thing we have seen was definatly something.

when we were biking whe were chased by a oval formed lightbolt

i was biking with my friends on our way to the soccertraining and when we thought we should take the shortcut and so whe did but the shortcut whas a road through several farm fields but i did'nt see a house or anything it was condemned i think cause the fields were'nt used in a long time and so we when't trough the fields and in all of the sudden i saw first a flash and we thought first it as a spot from a disco or something but than we saw a strange light coming from above us and when we looked up we saw a oval formed lightbolt and we wen't like what the fuck and we all panicced and we sprinted away on our bikes and when we looked around about a mile further it whas gone. then we biked onto a house about half a mile ffurther and there they said that the saw it too and they took some pictures also

A full oval illuminated ball motioned at low altitude

Today,in the morning 7:25, myself and one of my children witnessed in the course of approximately a second the passing with great speed an object at very close distance from us. The object had an apparant form of a full ball though appeared at the same time oval, probably due to the speed at which it motioned. The ball had more small balls on its surface all around. It was full of white and clear light. The object in motion made no noise whatsoever. It motioned in a straight horizontal line at such a low altitude that it could not possibly be something conventional (otherwise it would have crashed).

At dark, I saw a number of ligths (not very clearly) in an oval. The ligths were just like the lights of a car in the fog. I think it were approx. 10 lights in the oval shape. It didn't move. I can't say on what distance it was. I went inside to find my camera; when I came back outside, it was still there; I looked through my camera but I couldn't see a thing; the lights were so cloudy. After 10 minutes I went inside; it was still there. Up to now I check every night the sky, but I do not notice that phenomenon anymore.

Bright fast moving "satellite" changes from straight line movement to erratic movement and then disappears abruptly

Countryside, approximately 40 km east of Brussels, Belgium. Hot summer night, clear sky, some 15 minutes after sundown. Walking back from the deer stand (where me and my son of 15 had been observing game) to the car, we saw a fast-moving light in the sky traveling along a straight line from SE to NW. It looked like a bright satellite, it appeared to be very high. Our observation started when it was at around 40 degrees above the horizon, and we took it for a satellite. But at about 80 degrees elevation it suddenly changed its direction by some 45 degrees, and after a view seconds started to move eratically: sudden stops, accelerations, 90-180 degrees turns. After some further 10 seconds doing so it disappeared abruptly. I don't believe it could have been a meteorite or returning spacecraft debris bouncing into the atmosphere.

Moving lights

Dear Sir, This is a question I posted at NASA about something I saw in the night-sky, but I never got an answer, So I posted it on a French site and some others, but never an answer. If someone can read French you'll see that I've put more info, well it's not really info about the sighting, but my personal experience with flying "objects" as I've worked for several years at Brussels Intl. Dear Sir, Sorry to bother you with this question.

On sunday, July 21th at about 02am, I saw above the ardennes in Belgium 02 lights moving in different directions (cannot tell you if north to south or ...). They both were high in the sky, moving at tremendous speed.

I've worked for more than 04 years at Brussels Int. Airport, night and day, so I know for sure that they were not airplanes.

On airplanes, even at 30.000 feet, you can see lights blinking, what was not the case that day. At that moment I saw an airplane crossing the sky, at (I think) about maximum height : I saw the blinking lights and it didn't move by far as fast as the 02 lights I saw that night. The light was pretty clear, a bit of a yellow-orange colour and moved both in a straight line.

Now I don't believe in ufo's, so I think I saw (a friend of mine saw it aswell) 02 satelites passing by who were reflecting sunlight.

Is this possible? Can you see from earth with the bare eye a satelite flying by? If not, what could it be? Sorry to have taken some of your precious time, but you guys are the only ones I can think off who could give me a clear answer.

Thanks Comme j'ai écrit ici, je suis a 100% sur que ce n'etait pas des avions, les lumières étaient tres claires, mais impossible de définir une forme.

Concernant autres articles : les "triangles" durant la nuit : il est tres facile de confondre une forme "trainglulaire" quand en réalité il s'agit d'un avion : comme à l'arrière de l'avion il n'y a pas (ou tres faible) de feux, on peut assumer de voir un triangle. Mais il faut en tenir compte qu'on a presque toujours une source de lumière en proximité de soi-même, donc en regardant vers le ciel, les lumières les plus faibles sont en première temps "invisible" parce-que l'oeuil human doit se aclimatiser au noir. Si on continue a regarder ces "triangles", apres un certain temps d'aclimatisation, on commence a distinguer la forme d'un avion...

Mais je vous le jure, ce que j'ai vu ce jour la, ce n'etait pas des avions.

It was tuesday and there were verry few stars at the sky. We were chilling out from the sauna and I pointed at a star, on my left, asking my 3 friends if that could be the Nort-Pole-star. Suddenly, our attention was drawn to a star right above us that moved verry fast to the right, instead of going streath on, it changed its direction 4 times verry rapidley, and by thus, making an M-form. Then it vanished.

Formation of satelites ?

While observing the constellation Lyra on that warm crisp clear night I spotted 3 small dots, just like 3 "satelites" flying in a triangular formation. I could follow the three of them for approximately two to three minutes while they flew from North-North-West to South-South-West. They were flying very high and made no sound at all.

P.S. I read a report from people in New-England who had the same experience and I believe it's actually strange that they observed it in the same area of the sky while being at a couple of thousand miles from me.

A small object - first hangs still - then starts moving with BIG clouds - hangs still again and so on.

Hi, this evening I saw a strange thing in the sky. It was a beautiful, silent summer evenening, without any wind. The sky (and clouds) had some red and orange colors of the sun. I was in the living room when my father & mother called me to come and take a look at the sky. There was something 'rare' they said. My father had his pocket-telescope and we looked at it. Actually it was my mother who noticed it first. She must have got goooood eyes because the object was very small (because it was far away). By the time i was watching, a friend of mine came in the kitchen too (we were all watching through the window in the kitchen) and he saw it too, even without glasses. I took the telescope and looked at the thing. It was a glittering thing that didn't move. I could see that it didn't move because it was placed between two electrical wires (it was much much further than the wires of course, but it was a reference). I continued to stare at the glittering thing, and saw that it took different colors. I don't know if they came from the sun or what, but the colors slightly differed (which my friend confirms). The thing was hanging there for 3 or 4 minutes (that we know) and i (we) didn't stop staring. Suddenly it started moving up at a constant speed. It wasn't sensational fast, but if you consider the distance it must have been away from us,it can't have moved very slow neither. So the thing rose and then there was a real FAT cloud after the thing. First we (me, my parents and my friend ) really thought it was an aircraft that was crashing! It seemed to be falling. It's a kind of cloud you see after a BOEING aircraft but at least 10 times broader. The cloud had an orange color (was it a reflection from the sun? it did have approximately the same color) and was moving fast (not from our point of view, but again considered the distance...). After 1 minute or something the cloud was suddenly vanished. We looked around and some little further there was again this little tiny glittering object that ! we saw b efore the clouds were there. Then me & my friend saw the different colors again. After 1 minute it restarted moving. It was moving further away from us. Again, when it started moving, these clouds appeared. When the clouds were there, you couldn't see the object. Okay, it was real far away from us now, so me and my friend jumped in the car and drove into the direction where it was located. I had the pocket-telescope with me, i could still see the thing from inside the car. It was really un-necessary for us to move, because it went MUCH faster than we did, so we drove back home. The last thing i saw (at home again) was the cloud (but very far away), i stared at it, but at once it was gone. i never saw it back. In my opinion, it was no balloon, that's too slow An aircraft... i don't know, i've never seen such big clouds after a plane. Besides, what aircraft can hang still in the air? I have absolutely no idea what this was, but it was a strange phenomena. I'm not making this up, i'm too tired for jokes... Maybe someone else has seen something like this too, or maybe it can be explained... I hope to find an answer or hear about it. Bye...

sitting on my terrace just after midnight, i witnessed three clear orange/red lights moving over at fairly high speed for about three to four seconds.they moved in a criss-cross way just like fireflies but a whole lot bigger.it's a clear night(when i'm typing this it happened only fifteen minutes ago and yes i'm sober),a good deal of stars are visible and there were two planes in visual range (there are planeroutes over my house),i can see miles in either direction but they disappeared as quick as they appeared

It was night and cloudy. It was like a fire ball going straight and very fast with an orange colour. We were on the road with my wife, crossing the ardennes forest in belgium, she saw it too! We both have the feeling that it was not a meteor or a natural thing but rather a flying object. I would like to know if there was other witnesses of this phenomen. I'm not quite sure of the exact date.

upside down V formation of 9 birght lights on high altitude changed to M formation in less than a second

My sister lives at the coast, and I went to visit her... we were going out. When I arrived at her door I rang and I looked up to the second floor window. That is the window of her apartment, she mostly opens the window to throw the keys. When looking up I noticed 9 bright lights. There course was WNW. They made no sound. They seemed to be flying very fast and very high, though the lights were very bright. I couldn't distinct if anything was between the 9 lights. There were no blinking lights. It was as if you see 9 sattelites flying over in perfect inverse V formation. During the V formation the speeds of the lights was constant.

Then suddenly I knew it weren't just planes or helicopters in formation, cuase the shape just changed to a double inverse V formation!!! The changing of the formation was only a split second, and the movement of the different lights were smooth without one of them crossing onother one. The movement of the different lights wasn't symmetric, the left side of the V moved differently then the left side of the V.

The pattern in the movement (!which went very smooth!) was like random. Normally in aviation they have a fixed manner of changing to another formation. Also it happened in only a second time. The way they slowed down and catched speed up again was surprisingly smooth. It wasn't in a way that If they were fixed (in some way connected) so that turning over or changing angle caused it for me to see it as another formation. (I really hope I express myself good here, I'm Dutch :) )

In the original version, the object was a V-shaped object, with approximatey 30-40 degrees of angle between the two sides. I saw a green light that moved very fast in North-North-West direction. There was a little green tail. It didden´t make any sound.Suddenly it was gone.

It was allready dark outside and I was driving with my motorcycle. I came to a place where there wasn´t much light sow I could see the sky very well.

Suddenly, I looked up, I don´t now why, I just did, and I saw right in front of me a green light. I can´t say how high that light was but I just now that it was very high. It was moving in a north-north-west (I think) direction. The light wasn´t bigger than a half centimeters. I´m not sure but I think I saw an other light, white or yellow, in the middle of the green light. There was also a little tail at the back of green light. It was moving at a very high speed. After 3 seconds it was gone. I have nothing heard.

It seemed to be flying very low, without making noise. It was very big and it seemed to be that the front of the saucer was lighting up 'caus of the resistance with the air . So the front lighted up (quarter of a) moonshaped .It moved very smooth thrue the air.

We (me and my girlfriend) were walking home, we were looking at the hyades, when suddenly my girlfriend shouts and points out to something I could not identifie. I could get a good look at it when it slided thrue the air There was no tail (like a comet) it was too big to be an airplane flying so high that we couldn't hear the engines. It wasn't an airplane, it wasn't a comet, it wasn't a sky tracer nor a sattelite. I'm very sceptic about this all and I really didn't believe in et's but now I do. I am sure that it was something we don't know , it might have been a strange nature effect, but I am sure that it is unknown.

I already have read a lot of books about weird things in this life on earth, I know alot of weird nature effects, but this one is unknown!

object apeared to try to hover but seemed to have some mechanical problem.

on this evening my wife and i were awakened by a very bright light comming through our bedroom window. it seemed quite strange because a that was behind the house was farm fields almost all the way to the next town some 3 miles away swanie (forgot the spelling) i went into the back yard and saw an enormouse triangular shaped craft about 200 meters away having trouble maintaining altitude, it apeared to hover but would fall than rise many times. there were at least 2 gendamarie cars below it they appeared to be triing to help or may be blocking the road. after about 30 min a gendamarie told me to go inside.

Hovering metal-like sphere

It was a metal ball hovering high in the sky. I was on my bicycle and stopped to watch. It was hovering. It was a metal ball/ sphere shining in the sun. No electric cables were near so it couldnt be something like that things to warn planes. It was noon. After three minutes i looked away for just an instant and it was gone. Quite amazing. I am absolutely sure off what i have seen! I have no further information regarding the object

I camped beside the track of the Formula 1 track of Spa in Belgium. I was awaked but i did not know why... I saw 3 lights over the top of trees, close to a forest. They were moving so slowly during almost 5 minutes. I thought it was just a plane but there was no sound produced. Suddenly this object (or lights) moved faster into the forest and i didn't see anymore. Few minutes later i heard an aircraft...

A Boomerang shaped, Luminiscent, crossing from East to West, at considerable height, at high speed.

My girlfriend and me, were laying together at the local sporting field, we were talking, and I was on my back, while she was resting her head on my belly, laying in an angulare way. It was dark, and was arround 22h00. The sky was slightly cloudy, when suddenly we saw a Triangular ( Rather "Boomerang" style ) formed flying object, that was luminiscent, ( Not full Triangular, but from tip to two sides, that's why the description is "Boomerang" ), moving from East to West a great speed, at a considerable height, at least to our impression. It just took a mather of seconds, but we both were sure it was something we had never seen before, and the brightness of the object, in distinctive form, made us sure, we did'n imagine, or were seeing something, that was just a product of imagination.

I report this now, since then, we joked abt it, but by now, I am convinced we might have witnessed something, considering the surfacing evidence of the last decades.

Three moving, turning lightnings going to one direction who than suddenly dissapeared

I'm 18 years old now, when I had the experience, I was 11 years old. I live at the border of the city Antwerp, Belgium. I was in the garden in front of our house. It was allmost midnight and was giving water to the flowers at the front-door. I had my face to the door, as my brains suddenly "noticed" that there was something to see at my left side, because there was light shining in my left-eye. So I directly looked at the left, and I still don't know what I saw... There were three lights, in the formation of a triangle, they did NOT chance their colours, and there was NO light in the middle of those three other lights. When I looked at those lights, it was like th u.f.o. "noticed" that, because the three lights were turning like a circle and was moving slow to the right. After let's say 2-3 seconds they slowly dissapeared, I don't know the Enlgish word for that: they were just suddenly gone, like a candle that goes out... It was really weird, because it seemed like the lights just strted to move as I looked, and even mor weird is, suppose that that is the fact, the lights were approximately 30 - 40 houses further... I remember that I slept with a knife in bed for several weeks... I was really scared at the beginning, but now not anymore, if it really was extraterrestial life that's intelligent, then they wanted that they were spot... That's what I think... I know it's a long time ago for me, but I know what I saw, I'm not the person that reads a lot of u.f.o. books and stuff and I've got a normal life... Your site is the first one who I told this story to...

UFO (probe?) light green glowing in my room when I woke up.

First of all I dont really believed in ufos, I know there are other life forms but I dont believe the things that are now mostly spreading through the Internet.

I do athletics, am very sportive, I just finished a Informatics Communication Technologies study. So common sense and logics are the things I use for the most things of my life. I dont do drugs or any other thing that could cause hallucinations.

It is very hot this time a year in Belgium. So like I do more, I open the windows ( 1 roof window, 3 normal windows ) the let cool air come in.

This event happened at 4.30 ( was still kinda dark ). So that is from now 90 min ago.

I was sleeping and I was dreaming. Nothing special... suddenly I hear a kind of hovering, god how can I describe it ehm Its like: mix the sound of bubbling water with a sort of hovering sound into it. I cant say it more clearly :s ( eng isnt my native language ) The thing is I woke up from this sound, it was not in my dream. I opened my eyes and before I realized that I was awake and looking I saw something near my bed ( floating , hovering but without reshaping the surroundings through air, like you see with a vehicle moved by air ).

I get a bit scared while I am typing this ( bring back the memory rather lively ) but I need to tell, type it to let it out of my system.

It was a bit bigger then a tennisball and it was making that hovering / floating / bubbling water sound just about a meter from my face. I coudnt see it very detailed. It gave a strong light green light on the surroundings. In a split second when the " item " noticed I was awake it moved in a ( like you see in spiral movements of comets etc ) such way past my door ( that was open ) to the right through the open roof window. ( what was open also ).

I coudnt believe what I saw and was sure I was still asleep. But how longer I waited and tryed to explain this in reasoning how more aware I was of the fact I was awake ( I pinched myself in the arm, I felt pain, as far as I know you cant imitate that in a dream ) The next 20 min I was more or less paralyzed with fear and trying to explain what I just saw.

Only " logical " thing I can analyze out of this experience is that I was dreaming when that " item " was near me. I will not make further conclusions cause those would only be based on stuff you see on tv smile.gif Like aliens of outer space only explore human life and how they their way of life is by scanning and analyzing the memories of peeps who are in REM state of sleep. ( would make sense cause this way its highly unlikely you could have been caught.

I still got goosebumps when I think of my experience (less fear). I am not sure how to process this experience. But I feel a bit relieved that I could write this post. I even took my drink of last night out of the garbage to see if it could cause any hallucinations or any other reason for seeing wat I have seen... I know it can be medical explained when you feel paranoid or similar but this ....

Small orange disc in tree, almost touched it

It happend when i was 10. Now I'm 30. It was on a sunny day in spring. I was playing in the garden while suddenly a thick fiber glass-like wire hang above my head. I called my sister, who was lying at the back of our garden sunbathing and asked if she had seen falling something. She saw the wire but didn't know where it suddenly came from. I followed the wire expecting a kite hanging in the tree, but it was on oval-shaped bright orange thing that was attached to it. I climbed into the tree until it was right before me. I wanted to grab it but it suddenly vanished without hearing or feeling something. I run confused to all our neigbours but they didn't know anything about it. Dull metallic 9-inch sphere follows perfectly linear path at 5-10 mph about 50 feet AGL

I don’t remember the exact date of the sighting, but my guess is around October 1975 at around 3:30 in the afternoon (after school), when I was living in Waterloo, Belgium. I would have been 15 years old, and was shooting baskets in my driveway when I looked up and saw a metallic-looking sphere float silently over my head.

I was an “A” student and was somewhat of an astronomy and airplane enthusiast.

I’ve sent an accompanying map with an inset showing what the sphere looked like to [email protected]. I found a photo of a doll on the Internet (called “Baby Catch-a-Ball”) that my then 13-year-old sister owned, which I remember looked almost identical to the object. The object was a dull metallic grey and looked perfectly spherical. It did not reflect or “glint” in the sunlight.

The object appeared to be about 9 inches in diameter (i.e., larger than the toy ball). It followed a perfectly straight line, maintained constant elevation, and made no sound. I would estimate it was traveling at around 5-10 mph, and therefore I was able to follow it easily for a couple of minutes.

On the map, I show the path of the object. It was probably at an altitude of 50 feet AGL and passed almost directly over my head. What was odd about it was that it traced an absolutely linear path – so I ruled out a balloon or something that could be influenced by air currents. I don’t remember there being any wind that day, so its constant speed and altitude were a bit alarming.

It was also odd in that it did not make any sound whatsoever and was able to maintain its constant heading and altitude at such a low speed. I was able to follow it until its silhouette disappeared as it passed the other side of a house (about four doors down and around a corner).

When it was almost directly overhead, I remember being tempted to pick up a small rock and throw it at the object, but then I decided against it for fear I would incite some sort of harmful response. I also remember not calling out to my mother, who was inside the house, for fear of scaring her. So I never told her or anyone else about it.
